금주의 묵상: 시편 27:1-14

본문말씀: 시편 30:1-12

제목: 다윗의 기도 가운데 들어있는 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 기도

        다윗은 하나님께서 자신을 위하여 하신 일들을 증거하고 있습니다:

하나님께서 그를 높이셨습니다. 그의 대적들이 그를 이기지 못하고 기뻐하지 못하게 하셨습니다. 하나님께서는 그를 고쳐주셨습니다. 또한 그에게 혼의 생명뿐만 아니라 육체적인 생명도 주셨습니다. 하나님께서는 그의 혼이 지옥에 가지 않게 지켜주셨습니다. 하나님께서 다윗을 위하여 하신 일들은 신약시대에 구원받아 하나님의 자녀들이 된 그리스도인들이 받은 은혜의 모형인 것입니다. 물론 다윗은 한때 대적들로 인해 슬픔 가운데 있던 적도 여러 번 있었습니다. 뿐만 아니라 하나님의 자녀들도 그런 일들을 당하는 것입니다.

       사도 바울의 경우, 대적들로 인해 약함과 모욕과 궁핍과 박해와 곤경에 처한 적도 여러 번 있었습니다. 그가 감옥에 갇혔을 때 그의 대적들이 기뻐할 때도 있었습니다. 그러나 그는 오히려 그런 일들로 인하여 그리스도를 위하여 기뻐한다고 했으며 그가 약할 때 오히려 강하다고 증거했습니다. 사도 바울뿐만 아니라 오늘날에도 많은 그리스도인들이 그런 슬픔을 당하고 있을지 모르지만 오히려 그런 슬픔들이 앞으로 받을 영광을 바라보면 오히려 기뻐할 수 있는 축복이 되는 것입니다. 비록 우리가 지금은 영적으로만 치유 받고 육체적인 질병이 치유 받지 못지 못한다 할지라도 주님께서 통치하시는 그때가 되면 육체적으로도 완전히 치유 받게 될 것입니다. 그럼으로써 다윗이 시편 103편에서 증거한 것처럼 “그는 네 모든 죄악을 용서하시며 네 질병을 치유하시고”라고 노래할 수 있게 될 것입니다.

         다윗은 “밤새도록 울음이 지속될지라도 아침이면 기쁨이 오리라.”고 고백했습니다. 질병이나 여러 가지 고난들로 인해 잠을 이루지 못하고 밤새도록 울고 있는 수많은 성도들이 있는 것을 우리는 알고 있습니다. 그들에게는 아침이 되어도 여전히 기뻐하지 못할 수도 있습니다. 이렇게 울음은 종종 하룻밤 보다 더 오래 지속됩니다. 다윗은 눈물이 밤낮으로 그의 음식이 되었다고 고백했으며 기도할 때에 “나의 눈물을 주의 병에 담으소서.”라고 고백하기까지 했습니다.

        이 시대에 하나님의 자녀들이 흘리는 눈물에 대하여 사도 바울이 박해 받고 있던 로마에 있는 성도들과 고린도 교회 성도들에게 편지할 때 이렇게 증거하고 있습니다: “이는 현재의 고난들이 우리에게 나타나게 될 영광에 감히 비교되지 못한다고 내가 여기기 때문이라….우리가 잠시 받는 가벼운 환난이 우리를 위하여 훨씬 뛰어난 영원한 영광의 비중을 이루어가기 때문이라. 우리가 바라보는 것은  보이는 것들이 아니요, 보이지 않는 것들이라. 이는 보이는 것들은 잠깐뿐이지만 보이지 않는 것은 영원하기 때문이라”(롬 8:18, 고후 4:17-18)

       그리고 이 아침은 이 땅의 아침이 아니라 하늘의 아침 또는 재림의 아침인 것입니다. 말라기 선지자는 이 하늘의 아침에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“보라, 이는 화덕같이 탈 그 날이 오기 때문이니, 교만한 자와 악을 행하는 자는 다 그루터기가 되리라. 오는 그 날이 그들을 태우리니, 뿌리와 가지도 그들에게 남기지 아니하리라. 만군의 주가 말하노라. 그러나 내 이름을 두려워하는 너희에게는 의의 태양이 그의 날개에 치유를 가지고 솟아오르리니, 그리하면 너희는 나가서 외양간의 송아지들처럼 자라리라.”(말 4:1-2)

         사도 바울은 밤인 세상에 대하여 증거했습니다: “밤이 많이 지났고 낮이 가까웠느니라.. 그러므로 어두움의 행위를 벗어버리고 빛의 갑옷을 입자. 낮에와 같이 단정히 행하고 흥청거리거나 술 취하지 말며 음란하거나 방탕하지 말며 닽투거나 시기하지 말고 오직 주 예수 그리스도로 옷입고 정욕을 채우려고 육신을 위해 계획하지 말라.”(롬 13:12-14)

         그렇습니다! 의의 태양이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 이 세상을 떠나시고 난 후에 이 세상은 밤이 되었으며 의의 태양이신 주 예수 그리스도로부터 말씀의 빛을 받은 그리스도인들이 어두운 세상을 비추는 달이 되어 밤 같은 세상을 지난 이천 년 동안 비추고 있는 것입니다. 그러나 조만간 의의 태양이 다시 떠오르는 아침인 재림의 때에 마침내 성도들의 모든 울음들이 기쁨으로 변하게 될 것입니다.

          이 엄청난 아침에 대하여 깨달은 다윗은 그분께서 오실 때까지 오직 바랐던 것은 이 세상에서 번영을 누리는 것이 아니라 오히려 번영의 때에 자신이 방심하여 흔들리지 않으리라고  다짐하면서 그의 유일한 소망은 그가 앞으로 그리스도와 함께 부활하게 되는 날 그분의 모습으로 변화되는 것이라고 그의 기도 가운데    고백했습니다:  “나, 나는 의 가운데서 주의 얼굴을 보리니 내가 깨면 주의 모습으로 만족하리이다.”(시 17:15)

         우리는 번영의 때에 깨어 기도하지 않게 되면 어리석은 것들을 말하게 되는 것입니다. 옛날 바빌론의 느부캇네살 왕은 하나님께서 자신에게 잠시 허락한 번영의 때에 흔들림으로 인해 교만하게  말함으로 인해 엄청난 징계를 받았습니다: “‘내가 내 권세의 힘으로 내 위엄의 영예를 위하여 왕국의 집을 건설한 위대한 바빌론이 아니냐?’ 하였더니, 그 말이 왕의 입에 아직 있는데 하늘에서 한 음성이 내려 말씀하기를 ‘오 느부캇네살 왕아, 네게 말하노니, 그 왕국이 네게서 떠났느니라.'(단 4:30-31)

       다윗 왕도 번영의 때에 흔들림으로 인해 주의 임재가 떠나 번민하였다고 고백하고 있습니다. 그는 기도 가운데 부르짖었습니다:

“주의 얼굴을 내게서 숨기지 마시고 주의 종을 노하심으로 버리지 마소서, 주께서 나의 도움이 되셨으니 오 내 구원의 하나님이여, 나를 떠나지 마시고 나를 버리지 마소서.”(시 27:9)

         다윗의 고백처럼 우리의 육신이 죽어 무덤에 들어가게 되면 하나님을 찬양할 수도 없으며 하나님의 진리의 말씀들을 선포할 수도 없는 것입니다. 오직 살아있을 때에만 기능한 것입니다. 우리의 인생은 오직 한 번으로 곧 지나갈 것이며, 그리스도를 위하여 한 일만 존속하게 될 것입니다. 사도 바울은 이에 대하여 고린도교회 성도들에게 권면했습니다: 그러므로 나의 사랑하는 형제들아, 견고하라. 흔들리지 말라. 항상 주의 일을 넘치게 하라. 이는 너희의 수고가 주 안에서 헛되지 않은 줄을 너희가 앎이니라.”(고전 15:38)

           다윗은 “나의 슬픔이 춤이 되게 하셨으며 주께서 나의 베옷을 벗기시고 기쁨으로 띠를 둘러 주셨나이다.”라고 고백했습니다. 슬픔이 춤이 되고 베옷이 기쁨의 띠로 입혀지는 일은 하나님도 없고 소망도 없는 세상 사람들에게는 불가사의한 일인 것입니다. 그러나 다윗은 오직 하나님의 말씀 안에 소망을 두고 살았기 때문에 가능했던 것입니다.

      “믿음은 바라는 것들에 대한 실상이요, 보이지 않는 것들에 대한 증거니“(히 11;1)라는 말씀을 통해 하나님의 말씀 안에서 가지는 믿음이 현재 이루어진 것처럼 실상이 되지 않고서는 슬픔이 기쁨이 될 수 없는 것입니다. 다시 말해서 믿음으로 바라는 것들이 실상이 될 때에 그 실상이 슬픔을 삼켜버리게 되는 것입니다. 믿음은 미래지향적인 것이 아니라 현재적인 것이기 때문입니다. 구체적으로 말해서 우리가 그리스도의 심판석에서 받게 될 면류관과 앞으로 우리가 그리스도와 함께 한 공동상속자라는 소망이 실상이 된 사람은 어떤 슬픔도 우리를 삼키지 못하고 결국 이 믿음의 소망이 슬픔을 기쁨으로 화하게 하는 것입니다.

         다윗은 “나의 영광이 주께 찬송하며 잠잠치 않게 하려 하심이라”라는 말로 그의 기도를 마무리하면서 “오 주 나의 하나님이여, 내가 주께 영원히 감사드리리이다.”라는  감사로 기도를 끝내고 있습니다. 그렇습니다! 구원받아 앞으로 받을 영광을 바라보면서 사는 그리스도인들은 결코 잠잠할 수 없는 것입니다. 주님께서 승천하시기 전에 제자들에게 “너희가 땅 끋까지 내게 증인이 되리라.”고 말씀하셨습니다. 또한 “주께 구속받은 자들은 그ㄹㄹㄹ렇게 말할지니 그가 그들을 원수의 손에서 구속하셨으며..”라고 성경은 말씀하고 있습니다.  그분께서 우리를 구원하신 것은 그분을 영화롭게 하고 그분의 아들을 자랑하며 그분의 진리를 선포하게 하시려는 것입니다. 이 일을 위하여 불필요한 것들을 제쳐두고 시간을 사서 얻어 진리를 선포하는 일에 최대한 시간을 쓰게 될 때에 영원히 후회하지 않고 아버지 하나님의 집에서 영원무궁토록 감사하는 축복을 누리게 될 것입니다 아멘! 할렐루야!

Scripture Psalm 30: 1-12

Title: Prayer That Pleases God contained in prayer of David

        David bear witness to what the LORD God  had done for him:

God had lifted him up, and had not made his enemies to rejoice over him. God healed him when he cried unto him. In addition, God had brought up his soul from the grave. God had not kept his soul going down to the pit that is hell.

         The things that God had done for David is a model of the grace of God’s children who have received salvation in the New Testament. Of course, David was several times in the midst of the sorrow because of his enemies. As well as children of God will suffer such things as him.

       In the case of the Apostle Paul, he was in the weakness and humiliation and poverty and persecution and distress several times because of his enemies. When he was stuck in jail, his enemies rejoiced. Rather, due to such things, but he was glad for those things for the sake of Christ; and he  testified saying for when I am weak, then am I strong. Not only Apostle Paul but also many other  Christians today being in such a sadness, but rather such sorrow shall be blessing hoping for the glory that they shall receive in the future. Although we are not going to be completely healed physically, only being healed spiritually, we shall be completely healed physically in the days when the Lord Jesus reigns. Finally, we shall be able to praise the Lord as King David testified in his psalm 103 as saying, “Forgives all thine iniquities; healeth all thy diseases.”

         David confessed, “…weeping may enddure for a night, but joy comethe in the morning.”” We know that there are many saints who crying all night unable to sleep due to various diseases or afflictions. Even in the morning they  may not be able to rejoice. This cry often lasts longer than one night. David had to confess, “My tears have been  my meat day and night.”(Ps 42:3). He even said unto the LORD in his prayer, “Put down my tears into thy bottle.”(Ps. 56:8)“

          Apostle Paul testified of the tears of the children of God in this age unto the saints in Rome and Corinthian church: “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us…. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.“(Romans 8:18, 2 Corinthians 4: 17-18)

       And the  morning in David’s prayer is not the earthly morning, but the heavenly morning that is the morning of the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.. The prophet Malachi testified of  the heavenly morning: “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. “(Malachi 4: 1-2).

         That’s right! After the Sun of Righteousness Lord Jesus Christ as the sun set, there has been in the night; Christians have been shining the world as  the moon shining in the night for the last two thousand years. But sooner or later when the Sun of righteousness rise again in the morning of the Second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, all the tears of the saints shall be turned into the joy.

Apostle Paul testified of the earthly night: “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.“(Rom. 13:12-14)

          David realized about the wondrous morning; and  that he  only wanted was not enjoying the prosperity in this world, but rather he pledged not to be moved being vigilant in times of prosperity. His only hope is to be like him, Christ when he shall resurrect with him as he confessed in his prayer:

 ” As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness..” (Psalm 17:15)

       We tend to say something stupid in the days of prosperity unless we awake to pray. King Nebuchadrezzar of Babylon was moved in the days of prosperity, and spoke with pride before God. He was ended up tremendous discipline from God. Prophet Daniel testified of him: “ The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.“(Daniel 4: 30-31)

          David also confessed saying he was troubled with disappearance of the presence of God when he was moved in his prosperity:“Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation..” (Psalm 27: 9)

         As David confessed, we no more be able to praise the Lord God neither to preach the word of the truth of God anymore in the grave after death; it is only possible when we are alive in the world. Our present life in the earth is given unto all of us one time only. Only the things that we do for Christ shall be endured forever. Apostle Paul encouraged unto the Corinthians of this: “:Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”(I Corinthians 15:38)

           David had confessed saying, “Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness”; Such kind of confession is as something mysterious for natural men in the world; hoe they can dance in mourning putting off sackcloth to be glad? But it was possible for David because he lived in the hope in the word of the LORD God.

       The word of God testifies of faith,” Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”(Heb. 11;1) 

Mourning cannot be turned into dance unless the faith in the word of God becomes substance as if the thing that hope for were realized. Faith is not the thing for the future but for the present. In other word, if the hope of the crowns to be rewarded at the judgment seat of Christ as well as to be the joint heirs with Christ are realized as substance by faith, any kind of sorrow cannot devours us, but it shall be turned into joy by the hope of faith.    

       David is finishing his prayer of thanks saying, “To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent.” At the end of his prayer he gave thanks for his glory saying,”  O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever ”  That’s right! Christians cannot be silent at all looking forward the glory to receive through the salvation. Before Jesus was descended to heaven, he said unto his disciples, “You shall be witnesses unto me.” The scripture also testifies, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;“Ps. 107:2)

 He saved us so that we may glorify him ,and love his Son, and preach his words of the  truth. We should set aside the things that are not necessary, but redeem the time for preaching the word of God. Then we shall be blessed dwelling in the house of the Father forever without regret. Amen! Hallelujah!
