The contemplation of the week: Psalm 2:1-12

Text: Romans 8:14-25

The title of the Word:  The inheritance to be given unto the children of God

         There is a proverb in the world: “Blood is thicker than water.” But,  in the kingdom of God, “The Spirit of God is thicker than blood“.  The children of God are led by the Spirit of God.   The Spirit of God, that was within the prophets  in the Old Testament times, was the spirit of the servant  used for a little while to proclaim and prophesy the Word of God, but the children of God, the spirit of God indwelling in them is the spirit of adopted God’s children. This Spirit of God is the same Spirit as the one that was in Jesus when He was on the earth as His only begotten Son. The Spirit of God testifies of them as the children of God together with their spirits.

         What a mysterious thing as well as unbelievable  it is? Natural men so called  biological men who have not received the Spirit of God,  are unaware of any clues of it however they  study for all the life. Those who receive the Spirit of God and become children of God will understand when they hear the words of God. All of these words are the words written by the inspiration of God (2 Tim. 3:16).

In the words of Jesus when he was in the flesh, he said that those who receive the Holy Spirit and become children of God will be most blessed ones:

” Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he..” (Matthew 11:11)

          John the Baptist was still under law at that time. In other words, it was before Christ shed the blood. He testified of himself:

” He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.” (John 3:29)

          Also, those who become the children of God automatically become the heirs of God. Heirs of God are to receive the inheritance of all that God has. The heirs of God who are engaged with Christ are the joint-heirs with Christ.

           We have been hearing  complaint saying,  God is unfair. But no one is as fair as God in the world. When people are born into the world, they complain of  their environment as unfair, but whoever believes in Jesus Christ and becomes the child of God through being born again through the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, can be the heir of God/

         Then, as heirs of God, we must know what we inherit. But if we do not understand, we will live a life that complains like the people of the world and makes our spirit sad. But those who realize the blessings of the heirs of God can live a life that overcomes all suffering, looking at the day of inheritance.

           In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (Gen 1: 1). God owns the heavens and all things on earth. But because the heaven and earth were defiled by the first sin of Lucifer in the heaven. God judged the devil through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son, and going to make the new heavens and the new earth and the New Jerusalem to fill  with his people and children forever and ever.

         Last two thousand years, God has been working to make them that believe in Jesus Christ through sprinkling of his blood to be the helping spouses as the joint-heirs with Christ.  God has made the earth to which his children will inherit with Christ He has been  preparing the earth for his people and his children to give them as the inheritance. God  prophecied through the psalmist David King. :

” Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. “(Tl 2: 6-8).

        On the day that Christ will establish the Millennial Kingdom, the children of God will become the rulers as the  joint heirs with Christ, ruling with Him, and will first inherit the earth together. Jesus  spoke to the children of God who shall be going to preach the gospel unto the end of the earth before he ascended to heaven:

” But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1: 8)

          Jesus Himself said to His children, who will inherit the earth in the future  through a parable that they will have the sovereignty of ruling in the earth as much as they work for Christ in the present world:

” Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities….. Be thou also over five cities.” (Luke 19: 17,19).

           That’s right! If anyone believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, God has given the most blessings of receiving the Holy Spirit to inherit and become children of God without discrimination. In addition, God is fair to give the inheritance unto his children as much as they work for him  The apostle Paul testified to his pastor Timothy , his spiritual son:

” If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:” (2 Timothy 2:12)

         We have to understand that the children of God are persecuted by the world upon preaching the gospel.   The ruler of this world, the Devil, has already been judged, but he is constantly persecuting the children of God who shall  inherit this land until the day of execution of judgment. But we are glorified as much as we suffer. The apostle Paul, who realized this truth, testified that “
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:18).

        Most people on the side of the devil do not even know or believe that Christ will come again to inherit the earth and set up His kingdom on the earth. They  cannot even imagine that the children of God inherit this earth with Christ. But all the creatures that God  made are so well acquainted with this amazing thing. Apostle Paul testified of this

” For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

20For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

21Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. “(Romans 8: 19-21)

           The Lord is coming back soon and is hearing the  voice of groaning of his bride that is the church of God , and of all the creatures that are suffering. Therefore, we must wait patiently in the hope until the day when He comes.

          Apostle Paul testified about the things in the heavens that God’s children will inherit with Christ in the future:

” And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

23Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in …… That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (Ephesians 1: 22-23; 3: 17-19)
