Message title: Who are invited to the marriage of the Lamb?
You may need to listen at least five times to understand this week’s sermons. Since all the spiritual words of God are neither physical nor mental, only those who have the Spirit of God can understand them. Those who do not understand should first pray whether they are born again by the Holy Spirit. When Jesus was in the earth, he fed people with something physical food, and then most of them left him the apostles when he preached spiritual words. Of those who do not understand the spiritual word, the Bible says:
“Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish….Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.”(Psalms 49:12, 20)
In order to realize that you are invited to the marriage of the Lamb, you’d better study the words of God searching throughout the Bible. First, let’s look at the first book of Genesis. On the sixth day after God created all things on the earth:
God created Adam first, then made Adam sleep deeply (killing for a moment) and took out one of his ribs to make Eve to make the helper for him (Genesis 2: 21-22). Adam and Eve were two individuals, but they were actually one body, because Eve was a part of Adam’s body. God made Adam as God’s helper to subdue the earth. But God had allowed Lucifer come down to the earth, and allowed Adam sin so that he would no longer be God’s helper since then, but rather he became Lucifer’s helper.
God made Adam into a deep sleep to make Eve with one of his ribs, so that in the future God would become a man and die for a while, three days to take away all the sins that Adam and his descendants would commit. God previewed that the believers in the Lord Jesus are baptized into his body to restore the children of Adam. He also previewed that they are no longer the helpers of Satan but are recovering as God’s helpers. Realizing this truth, Apostle Paul testified to the Corinthian Saints:
Therefore, as Adam ruled the things of the earth as the helper of God, Jesus who came as the last Adam, put his spirit in those who believe in him through his death and resurrection for the sins of all Adam’s descendants born on the earth. And they are born again to be chosen as the eternal helpers of God as the bride Christ Jesus in his kingdom. Christ is also calling the congregation of spiritual Eves as his body that is the church of God. So long ago, the psalmist David witnessed in the Holy Spirit about the church of God which would appear on the earth through his death and resurrection:
That’s right. Jesus, the only-begotten Son of God, who was with God as the Word in the beginning came to the earth to seek his helper who will help him forever and ever to help him to fill all in all(Eph. 1:23). As if he had Adam fallen asleep deeply to make Eve with one of his ribs, he gave his spirit to them who believe in him, so that he might dwell in one his body in the church on earth for a while, and then he will come again when the time is fulfilled. Then he will take the bride to heaven to get married with her. So the physical marriage on the earth is the shadow of the spiritual marriage between Christ and the church of God. Apostle Paul testified of the marriage between Christ and the church of God:
Therefore, when the marriage of Christ with the bride of Christ, sooner or later ends his wedding ceremony, he will comes down to the earth with his church to do the work of judging the world, and then honors his church on the earth where they had suffered for a thousand years. he will have a honeymoon reigning together with her. After that, as the helping spouse of Christ for the tremendous work that fills the entire universe in all forever more.
Of the millions who were born and lived in the last six thousand years of human history, only the church of God, born of the Holy Spirit, is chosen to be blessed as his bride. Apostle Paul testified of this tremendous blessing:
At this time, multitudes of people shall be invited. Saved saints of all generations shall be invited, including friends of the bridegroom, such as John the Baptist, and the bridesmaids. The psalmist who sang the song of love testified of the invited ones:
