Sermon Title: The Image of the Holy Bride of Christ
In the Holy Ghost, we can hear the voice of Jesus Christ to the Christians who have become his beautiful bride through the words of Solomon to the Sulamite woman.
The bride of Christ has been chosen as a glorious helping spouse of Christ for him to fill all in all(Eph. 1:23) in the eternity.
The Bible tells in detail the process by which sinners become children of God the Father and become the holy bride of Jesus Christ.
The resurrected Jesus made a very important statement when he told his disciples about how all the Scriptures testify of Himself:
He said that all nations shall receive the remission of sins through repentance, so we need to know what is repentance and what changes will occur when we receive the forgiveness of sins.
Jesus, who took away all the sins of the law by imputing all the sins of the law into his body and dying on the cross, told his disciples before he died, and when the Holy Ghost came after his death and resurrection on the third day, The Holy Ghost will reprove of sin unto the world. He said that when the Age of Law passes by and the Age of Grace comes, it is no longer sin against the Law, and it is sin not to believe in Himself, who had taken away the sins of the Law:
When we believe in Jesus Christ, who took away the sin of the world, and repent with your whole heart for your sin of not believing in Him, all the sins deeply rooted in the hearts of us are removed by the blood of Christ, so that we may receive eternal life through the Holy Ghost and receive salvation of our souls:
That’s right! When anyone understand that it is the sin that he did not believe in Jesus Christ, who took away all the sins of the world by imputing to his body on the cross, and repents, all sins are forgiven, and the blood of Christ flows spiritually in the body. When all the thirteen kinds of sin are cleansed taking away all of them,, the soul that was going to hell shall be saved. The Bible says that no one can take the soul away once saved and sanctified:
No one can take away the salvation of Christians whose souls have been saved because they have faith in Christ and His blood has taken away all sins.
However, after being saved, we must constantly confess our sins to be sanctified by purifying our soul with the wasing of water by the word (Eph. 5:26). The Lord also prayed to sanctify his disciples by the word of the Father, that is the truth (John 17:17). Christians confess and repent of their sins daily, not in order to be saved, but because they must be purified to be like Christ unto holiness, until they meet Christ Jesus, until they work out their salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). The Apostle John testified of the Christian life of confession of sins:
Solomon praised his own bride, Sulamite woman, for seeing her in beautiful holiness. He spoke unto her of her eyes, hair, teeth, lips, cheeks, neck, and her two breasts.
Our Lord Jesus Christ also wants the Christians who will meet with the Lord in the day of His appearing to be seen as holy as the Shulamite woman.
Christ looks only at us, and He wants our eyes to be hidden in our hair like his sulamite woman, and to look only at him like dove. Sins occur when we stop looking only at the Lord. In old days, Eve our grandmother turned her own eyes to the serpent, then she committed the unimaginable sin that she passed unto all humans. Even today, Christians commit the sin of spiritual adultery when they fall in love with the world by turning their eyes to the world instead of looking to the Lord (James 4:4).
Also, the Lord wants our souls to be white and pure like sheep sheared. Also, he wants to bear many fruits, as if giving birth to twins, without any barren children. He always wants to be the bride who win souls through the fruit of the Spirit:
When Solomon saw the lips of a Shulamite woman as a thread of scarlet as the blood of Christ. Rahab, the prostitute who hid the two spies in the old days, hung a scarlet thread on the window and saved the whole family, so that the pomegranate contains grains as the souls of her family. Solomon praised her like a piece of a pomegranate side. In addition, her figure shows the image of the bride of Christ who was beautifully put on the full armor of God through the anointing of the blood, the word, and the Holy Ghost.
Solomon says that the words of the Sulamite woman are beautiful. That’s right! The Lord wants his own brides to use beautiful words. Apostle Paul testified of this:
The Lord not wants Christians to have stiff neck, not as proud and straight-necked as the Jews of old, but as a neck to rebuke and fight against sinners with a straight neck las Stephen did.
Solomon says that the two breasts of a Shulamite woman are like two young twins, a roe deer that feed among lilies. The Lord wants his own bride Christians to live spiritually balanced lives. Jesus, the only begotten Son, whose Word became flesh, was full of grace and truth (John 1:14). The Apostle Paul told the saints in Colossae that he had heard your faith in Jesus and your love for all the saints. A balanced life through the Word and prayer is also a beautiful thing.
