Daniel 16

Today we will look at Daniel 5:7. [ ⁷ The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.⁸ Then came in all the king’s wise men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof.⁹ Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were astonied.¹⁰ Now the queen by reason of the words of the king and his lords came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:¹¹ There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;¹² Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.¹³ Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?¹⁴ I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.¹⁵ And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:¹⁶ And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom. ]

         He received this promise to be a ruler. Joseph became the second ruler of Egypt, right? The words of the Old Testament are shadows that will come. But the body was Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament, there are many types of Jesus Christ. So is Isaac, and so is Joseph. So is David.  Joseph became the second ruler and became a type of Jesus Christ. Jesus was sold for 30 pieces of silver and he was sold for 20 pieces of silver. Jesus was an adult, but Joseph was a minor at the time, so he was sold by the Law for 20 pieces of silver. Sold as a Slave. Jesus also took the throne of heaven He forsaken all his honor, and came in the form of a servant. Joseph is a type of the second ruler, the second Godhead, the Son, Jesus Christ. Now Daniel was promised to be the third ruler. The third ruler is Daniel, who goes down in verse 12 beforehand, [ Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts,.]  Eventually, this Daniel was promised to become the ruler of the third. It is in the Holy Spirit that there is an excellent spirit, knowledge, and understanding. In Isaiah 11:2, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of the Lord, is the Spirit of wisdom, the Spirit of understanding, the Spirit of knowledge, and then the Spirit of planning, the Spirit of fearing the Lord, and the Spirit of power.  That’s why Daniel became a type of the Holy Spirit. Now, all of these things showed up to Daniel. Verse 8 The king’s wise men came in. What do you say these days? They’re advisers to the president. These are special aide. The wise men who are in such a position to teach the president various knowledge and expertise so that he can govern in various sectors,  so that the president can judge.Most of them are magicians. Because Babylon is a country full of idols. Well, the wise men said they didn’t know anything, but no one taught them   .   It’s no different than a stupid king. They’re not wise men. He’s not wise. Philosophers. Philosopher  are lovers of wisdom. They love wisdom, but they can’t receive wisdom without the Holy Spirit. That’s why the old Greek philosophy was created through philosophers, and the university was created to learn more about God, but that doesn’t work, right? You can’t have human wisdom. That’s why college came out of it these days. So, because we have human wisdom, we have philosophy in it, and because of the philosophy that we learn in school, we need to know that children do not know God’s word, and there are things that are happening right now that are going on right now, and our children are studying in the United States, what are they learning in school? It’s all philosophy. Worldly wisdom.  This is what makes them blind to God’s Word. I’d rather not have learned. Nowadays, the children who don’t go to college, go to church, live with their parents without leaving home, and come to church with their parents are much more blessed. No matter how many top-notch universities you go to, the kids who are separated from their parents and just  live as they please, it’s usually not a problem. That’s a sad story.  Just like in the old days, when the angels came to Sodom, they were handsome, so let the people of Sodom have something to do with them. What is it?  Let’s have a homosexual relationship. When he did that, he knew that they were  angels, and he would give up his two daughters, so he told them to do as they pleased. You guys can play with them as you please, that’s what I did. That’s who we are in America today. What happens to your children when you leave them alone and leave them alone if they do well in school and get  straight A’s, and let them do drugs or drink or gamble, and just study well, study well, study well, and so on? They are spiritually depraved. We went to church together until high school, but when they went to college, we drifted apart. You can see something like this. That’s why America is a Sodom-like world today. No matter how wise a person is, he cannot be like God.  If   you look at 1 Corinthians  1:25 in the Bible, it says: [God’s foolishness is wiser than men‘s].  People say God is foolish. But God’s foolishness is wiser than the wisdom of men. That’s what I mean.  So, if you look at 1 Corinthians 1, there’s a lot of wisdom, right? There is the wisdom of men, then there is the wisdom of the world, then there is the wisdom of the rulers, and then there is the wisdom of God. God’s wisdom is contained in the Holy Spirit. In order to receive God’s wisdom, a person who confesses to be a sinner and truly accepts Jesus Christ Himself as Savior before dying. Someone who has received  100%  trust in Him alone. This is the kind of person who receives God’s wisdom through the Holy Spirit.  The Apostle Paul said. [Paul the servant and apostle of Jesus Christ]. At the beginning of the book of Romans. Servant, the servant of Jesus Christ. The word servant is close to slavery. Because he was a slave of sin, a slave of death, and a slave of curses in the hands of the devil, he believed in the blood of Jesus Christ, so he paid for it and bought it from Satan, and eventually became a servant of Jesus Christ. That is why the Apostle Paul was faithful to death. This is what Christians should do and what they should do. A servant of Jesus Christ. He was an apostle, but first the Apostle Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ. He is an Apostle, a servant of Jesus Christ. After all, when it comes to being a servant, I am the owner of Jesus Christ. Believing in Jesus Christ as Lord, and believing in Him as Lord, I am indeed His servant and slave. Because He bought me, I will die even if He asks me to die. This is confessing Jesus Christ as Lord. Except by the Holy Spirit, we cannot confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Absolutely not. I can do it with my mouth.  I can’t do it in my heart. There is no action.  You said you knew it by the fruit, right? No matter how well you say it, you know it by its fruit. No matter how good you are at preaching, you know it by the fruit. I told you to judge by the fruit, Lord.  I told them to listen to them and do them, but not to imitate their deeds. Pharisees, Sadducees. It’s the same today. I’m starting an English worship service for my children this week, Romans. Start with chapter 1. Through the book of Romans, children need to know the gospel, but people don’t know the gospel these days. Why? They must be servants of Jesus Christ. That’s the only way to be saved.  Who am I, who is the master? Is Jesus Christ really the Lord? Am I the master? What other beings in the world are my masters? Is money and fame the masters? You need to be clear about these things. If you don’t know that, you don’t realize you’re a sinner. If you don’t know that Jesus Christ is your Lord and your God, you don’t know that this person is a sinner. Those who realize that they are sinners must receive Him, and they will live like slaves as absolute God and absolute masters. If God’s word falls, then you are stuck. This is a true believer in Jesus. So when the Ethiopian eunuch heard Philip’s sermon and went down to be baptized, Philip stopped, right? Wait a minute! You must believe with all your heart. God is wholehearted. I get 100%. That’s what I’m talking about.  He confessed that I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, so he went down with him and baptized him, and then the Holy Spirit came, and he went back with joy. When that one man returned with joy, Christianity spread in Ethiopia, and even the king believed in Jesus. King Selassie, the king who came to our Korea. He was a born-again Christian. So there are so few people who really believe today. With his mouth, Lord, Lord, when he prays with his master, he is the master, and Jesus is the servant. Do this, do that, why don’t you do this, this is all prayer. What it is? Like Martha of old, she commanded Jesus to help her. But Mary heard the Lord. Jesus said she chose the best one. It’s the same these days.

       Here’s the queen, right? This queen should not be thought of as the wife of King Belshazzar. How do I know? If so, she would have been there, right? And Belshazzar’s queen doesn’t know what Nebuchadnezzar did in the old days, his grandfather. But I think it’s probably about the Great King. Don’t know? She may have been the wife of King Nebuchadnezzar. I mean, she didn’t get in there. She couldn’t get in, and then she heard about it and now she is telling the king, right? Do not be troubled, and do not change the countenance of the king. Then there is a man named Daniel, a man who has the spirit of the holy gods.  After all, without the Holy Spirit of God, no matter how much we look at the Bible, no matter how much we look at the letters written in the Bible, we don’t know what it means. At that time, no one knew what the finger wrote, right? Only someone knew. He only knew, Daniel with the Holy Spirit. If Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had existed, they might have known. Because he is a man of God. But no one was there.

That’s why people who don’t have the Holy Spirit today don’t know anything about God’s words when they read them. However, those who have the Holy Spirit, even if they have not even gone through elementary school, are supposed to understand when they read and listen to the Bible. If you are born again by the Holy Spirit or not,  you can tell whether you understand it or not  when you hear the Word. There’s nothing else to see. It’s that simple. Most of  theologians are unconverted, so when these people read it, it doesn’t make sense, so they fixed it all in a human way. That’s why the Bible has been altered. All Bibles with the New label are New Age Bibles. The divinity of Jesus Christ has been omittd. Yes, the Antichrist would say he is. In 1 Timothy 3:16  [God appeared in the flesh], He appeared in the flesh. He replaced God with him, and later the Antichrist will say that he is me, and that’s why he sits in the temple and say I am God. He changed God to him. That’s what the Bible is all about. The New international version (NIV),  the New King James Version, the New American Standard Version,  all of these are New Age Bibles.  There was an Open Door Church in Los Angeles 50 years ago. There is a sermon preached by a pastor named Dr. Meggy, and when he looked at them,  he warned  because the  Bibles with the NEW label just came out. He preached all of his sermons from the King James Bible. I don’t know if I’m really gracious enough to preach the right word of doctrine. I’ve often heard that phrase in the old days. Now, this is how Daniel is introduced, and the Holy Spirit was in Daniel. But the Holy Spirit was not the indwelling Holy Spirit. In the Old Testament, they are used for a short time to do God’s work. But the spirit can leave. So David, after committing adultery and murder, prayed, “Do not take away your holy spirit from me.” Why? Saul had the Holy Spirit. When he sinned because he was prideful, God took away the Holy Spirit, and an evil spirit worked on him.  That was then. But that’s not the case now. For now, the Holy Spirit has been given and sealed over it until the day of redemption is to seal it.  Redemption means that when the Lord comes, we take off our bodies, and we put a seal on the day we take off our bodies until the day of the rapture, so when God closes the seal, no one can open it. If he opens it, no one can’t close it.  This is how the Bible is written accurately.   It’s completely sealed. It’s not like a person seals it with some kind of caulk stopper. No one can open what God has sealed. Even the devil can’t open it. That’s why we need to be aware. What did the Lord say? At the last Passover meal, one of the  12  of you,  shall sell me” John was lying in the arms of the Lord.

Then Peter glanced at John. Saying ask me who it is. So John asked. Who is the Lord? I mean, the Lord said, uh, he’s the one who puts his hand in the bowl, and he didn’t talk about it.  But Judas Iscariot put his hand in. But Peter didn’t know either.   And all the other disciples asked, “Is it me?” What did John say? Who is it? He had the assurance of salvation. Today, the Apostle John is a type of the saints. It’s a type of born-again saints. These people ask, ‘Who are you?’ Let’s talk about it like this. I’m not saying this. I certainly belong to the Lord. I was definitely saved. However, when people say strange things about losing salvation, some people wonder if I am not saved. No way. You have to be convinced. Why? The Spirit of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. It’s in the book of Revelation, right? If I have the Spirit of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, in me,  then we have the Spirit of prophecy.    I was definitely saved.  I’m prophesying this. It is a prophecy of what is to come. Business is going well. The child is fine. That’s not a prophecy. That’s up to me.  It’s up to the children, but who can prophesy? You’re welcome. Don’t be fooled.

      What the queen says here is that Daniel has holy gods.  So they thought there were certain gods in Daniel that they believed in. There is one man who has the spirit of the holy gods, and he said, “Okay? In the Bible, angels are sometimes referred to as gods.  We may have heard that there are angels who are chosen and there are angels who are not, but let‘s take a look at 1 Timothy 5:21  . [I beseech thee before God, and of the Lord Jesus Christ, and of the chosen angels,  that thou shalt observe these things without prejudice, and that thou shalt do nothing impartially.] The chosen angels. Doesn’t that mean there are angels who aren’t chosen? Along with Satan,  1/3 of the angels sinned, right? So they will be cast down to earth during the Tribulation, right? So the great dragon was cast out, and the old serpent, who was called the Devil and Satan,  who had deceived the whole world. And he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. It’s in Revelation 12:9, right? So, during the Great Tribulation, the devil and angels will fill the earth, so what will happen?  The Lord did, didn’t he? When the Son of Man comes… The coming of the Son of Man is not the rapture, but the Second Coming of the earth. When the Son of Man comes, it is as it was in the days of Noah. Just like in the days of Noah, eating and drinking, marrying, marrying, and so on, right? What’s next? Do angels come down and marry the daughters of men and give birth to giants? It happens again. The sinful angels came down and did it again. It was like in the days of Noah. In these words, we can see this, and the angels who sinned were cast out together,

Wouldn’t the angels do that? Angels also have the ability to reproduce, folks. So the angels came down and called the sons of God,  in the Old Testament, the angels were the sons of God. In the book of Job, the sons of God are mentioned, right? When the Lord creates. That’s why I personally believe that because of the fallen angels at that time, perhaps to make us sons of God, He created the earth and sent Jesus Christ to believe in His blood and receive the Holy Spirit, and those who receive the Holy Spirit are sons of God.  We are adopted, I mean.  . It’s adoption. I don’t know how many angels have sinned. That is why before the foundation of the world, He predestined us to be chosen in Christ and adopted as children of God. Before the creation of the world. Why? Satan fell before the foundation of the world. So we can know this and how blessed we are.  The light, understanding, and wisdom of the gods were manifested in him. That’s what I said, right? Wisdom. It’s a type of the Holy Spirit, isn’t it? The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of wisdom, isn’t it? It comes from above. Wisdom comes from above, James  3:17  says. The light is the Holy Spirit shining on us. Understanding, too, is the ability to perceive truth from the Holy Spirit. So the archangel Gabriel said to Daniel, I have come to give you wisdom and understanding. Those who have received the Holy Spirit have wisdom and understanding. So what is wisdom? If you have wisdom, you fear God. I’m afraid if I just say this. Isn’t the Word God? There are many people who close their eyes and hope that something will appear, but the Word is God. It is Jesus who made the Word flesh. You need to know this. This Bible. The Word is God, and the people who tear the Word and heal it are the ones who are just ripping the Lord apart.  They’re fearless people. I couldn’t take away the words of this prophecy, I couldn’t add to them, I was cursed. The first is the words of Revelation, and the second is that the entire Bible is prophecy, so it should never be taken lightly. We need to read the whole Bible and eat it all.  Only when we finish eating the Bible can  know who Jesus Christ is and  change into the image of Jesus Christ. You have to change to be like Christ.  For  three  and a half years, the disciples of Jesus studied the Word day and night. they learned it directly from God, the Word.  Today, those who listen to a sermon on Sunday, who do not study the Word, but listen to a sermon, are walking in the same place for the rest of their lives. Listen again and forget, listen and forget. However, the person who has received the Holy Spirit reads the Bible alone. Somehow I read it all. Read and meditate on the Bible by yourself. People like this. You can’t do it, right? Do people who are born in the flesh not eat? Even if you don’t want to eat it, you eat it, right? Stop eating, stop eating, but still eat, right? Do you keep eating because you’re on a diet?

Even if you don’t want to eat it, you eat it yourself.  Read the Bible, read it, or don’t read it. This is what saddens pastors today.

        Now, the superior spirit, the knowledge, the understanding, the interpretation of dreams, the unraveling of difficult letters, the clearing up of doubts,  and the teaching of interpretation. These seven things are all in Daniel’s possession. There is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a transcendent Spirit. There are three spirits.  The spirit of the devil,  the spirit of man, the spirit of God. Of course, the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, is a superior Spirit. He is omniscient. He knows everything. And He is the third Godhead, the source of knowledge. So it’s the spirit of knowledge. The Holy Spirit contained knowledge and had a plan. He is also a source of understanding. So if we ask, He will give us wisdom and understanding. From the Holy Spirit. Then we can apply wisely what we have learned. Your knowledge and wisdom are different.  It’s different from what I’ve learned a lot. There are people who are wise even if they don’t have knowledge, and there are people who have a lot of knowledge but don’t have wisdom. Therefore, knowledge and wisdom must be sought at the same time. Only then can we apply the Word correctly with knowledge. And what does this have to do with God? He gives us the ability to realize this. No matter how much you know and how well you apply the word, if it has nothing to do with God or if it is something that God does not want, then you have done something useless. What is your relationship with God? It’s not a relationship with me. We need to know what these words have to do with God. However, Satan does not let God’s word relate to God, but to himself. If you look at it, what do pastors take with them when they visit their businesses? [The beginning was feeble, but the end shall be great]. This doesn’t have to do with people.  It’s about getting involved with God, and it’s about people getting involved in small businesses. What is the secret of successful business in the Bible? [Seek first the kingdom of God and the righteousness of God, and all these things..] What comes out of business?  It’s about eating and drinking. He will add all these things. I need to get this word to you. It will be great. Isn’t this cheating? They have no knowledge, no wisdom, and no Holy Spirit. You need to know this. The Holy Spirit gives me understanding of God’s Word, what God wants from me, what He wants from me, not what I want from God, and He clears up the puzzled texts. Theologians are esoteric, aren’t they? This is an esoteric passage. What’s esoteric about esoteric? You just have to believe God’s word. He gave us to believe God’s word, not to tell us that it was difficult or easy for them to interpret. In fact, it is difficult for one’s heart to be difficult, but God’s word is not difficult.  It’s hard because you don’t want to believe it. Whew, how do you cut off your right arm?

I don’t like it, so I’m saying this is an esoteric phrase. That is why we must have the Spirit of the true God. There aren’t that many people who have the Spirit of God these days.  So, it is the Holy Spirit who solves the doubts, and it is the Holy Spirit who solves the difficult letters,  and Romans 8:16  [The Holy Spirit Himself testifies with our Spirit that we are God‘  s children] Only with the Holy Spirit can I know that I am a child of God. I don’t know who told me. What kind of people are you, Pastor, I am saved? There are people who ask. Oh, the deacon was saved. If the deacon is not saved, who will be saved? Amen. In this way, the Holy Spirit Himself testifies that I am a child of God. Amen! That’s what the Apostle John did. [This is the testimony, and the testimony is in him that believes, and the testimony is this, eternal life.] Eternal life is here.  Even if you die, you will live, and those who live and believe will never die. Do you believe this? That’s what Jesus did. [I am the resurrection and the life. Do you believe this? Martha  said, “I believe.” Lazarus, you jumped up, came to life, and ate your food.

     Well, that’s where Daniel came. he called Daniel, and he interpreted it for him, and he just came. So what happened when Daniel came? Now we’ll do it next Tuesday. I will pray.

Thank you, Father. He has given us the Holy Spirit that He gave to Daniel. Give us wisdom, understanding, and knowledge in abundance. Therefore, please help me to understand God’s words thoroughly and to act according to them and bear witness to them. Help all the members of this Church to be servants of Jesus Christ, to be sinners, to receive the Holy Spirit of God the Father, to receive wisdom and understanding, to walk in knowledge, and to be trembling in your word. Help us to fear you. Help us to be obedient to your Word unconditionally.  Help us to be God’s children who obey you unconditionally and to be servants of Jesus Christ. Please bestow the same blessing on all who hear these words. In the name of Jesus Christ, I plead and pray. Amen.
