금주의 묵상: 시편 91:1-16

본문: 데살로니가전서 5:1-28

제목: 마지막 때 빛의 자녀들의 축복과 본이 되는 행위

     사도 바울은 거듭난 데살로니가 교회 성도들을 향하여 아주 중요한 편지를 했다. 첫째로 그들이 빛의 자녀들로서 주 예수 그리스도께서 공중에 나타나실 때 다가올 진노(대 환난)로부터 구원받을 것이며 그들이 미리 그 날을 예비할 수 있도록 미리 알려주셔서 그 날이 밤에 도둑처럼 임하지 않을 것을 말씀했으며 이는 오늘 날 마지막 때 살고 있는 거듭난 그리스도의 신부들을 향한 위로의 말씀이기도 한 것이다. 둘째로, 그리스도께서 나타나실 때를 미리 알고 준비하기 위하여 마땅히 본 받을 행위들에 대해 권면하고 있는 것이다. 그러면 빛이 무엇일까? 주님께서 말씀하시기를 “그러나 진리의 영이신 그분이 오시면 너희를 모든 진리로 인도하시리라. 그분은 스스로 말씀하지 아니하시며, 무엇이나 들은 것을 말씀하실 것이요, 또 너희에게 다가올 일들을 알려주시리라.”(요 16:13)고 하셨다.

     그렇다! 성령을 통하여 기록하여 우리에게 주신 하나님의 말씀의 빛 안에서 우리는 앞으로 우리에게 나타날 일들을 미리 알 수 있는 것이다. 이 말씀들은 신구약 성경의 모든 말씀 가운데서 깨달을 수 있는 것이다. 옛날 다니엘 선지자가 예레미야서를 읽다가 바벨론의 포로생활이 칠십 년만에 끝날 것을 미리 알고 선지자로서 마땅히 본이 되는 일을 행하기 위하여 그 날이 오기 전에 급식하며 기도할 때 가브리엘 천사를 통하여 사도 요한에게 계시된 마지막 때의 일들을 알게 하신 것이다. 물론 무화과나무의 비유나 배교가 일어날 것과 여러가지 영적 물리적 징조들을 통하여 때를 분별할 수 있지만, 구체적인 수치들을 통하여 더욱 실감있게 알 수 있을 것이다. 그러면 말씀의 조명을 받으면서 앞으로 우리 앞에 나타날 그리스도의 날이 얼마나 가까이 왔는지 성령 안에서 분명하게 주신 계시들을 깨닫기 위하여 기도하면서  상고해 보자.

      성경 말씀 안에서 “셋째 날”, “이틀 후”, “엿새 후”, “일곱째 날”, “제 팔일째 되는 날”등의 말씀들을 통하여 깨달을 수 있을 것이다. 사도 베드로는 “사랑하는 자들아, 주께는 하루가 천 년 같고 천 년이 하루 같은 이 한 가지를 잊지 말라.”(벧후 3:8)고 아주 중요한 증거를 했다. 이 사실을 기억한다면 성경에 나타난 날들이 거듭난 성도들에게 그 날과 시간은 몰라도 그리스도의 날이 얼마나 가까이 왔는지 분명히 계시될 수 있는 것이다. 주님께서 일곱 교회의 천사들에게 편지하실 때 “귀 있는 자는 성령께서 교회들에게 말씀하시는 것을 들을지어다.”라고 말씀하신 것을 볼 때 성령으로 거듭난 자들만이 말씀을 통하여 성령께서 주시는 음성을 들을 수 있는 것이다. 또한, 듣는다는 것은 깨닫는다는 것을 의미하는 것이다. 가브리엘이 다니엘에게 나타났을 때, “오 다니엘아, 내가 이제 네게 지혜와 명철을 주려고 나왔느니라.”(단 9:22)고 말하면서 세상 끝에 일어날 일들을 깨닫게 하였던 것이다.

     그러면 성경에 나타난 말씀들을 상고하면서 성령께서 주시는 지혜와 명철을 가지고 깨달아 빛 가운데 거하며 그날을 준비하는 삶을 살지 않겠는가?

    일곱째 날: “일곱째 날에 하나님께서 자신이 만드시던 자신의 일을 끝내시고 자신이 만드시던 자신의 모든 일로부터 일곱째 날에 쉬시니라. 하나님께서 일곱째 날을 복주시고 그것을 거룩하게 하셨으니, 이는 그날에 하나님께서 창조하시고 지으신 모든 일로부터 쉬셨음이라.”(창 2:2,3) 이 말씀과 관련하여 사도 바울은 성령 안에서 깨닫고 일곱째 날에 대하여 그 뜻을 증거했다: “어느 곳에선가 일곱째 날에 관해서 이렇게 말씀하시기를 ‘하나님께서 일곱째 날에 그의 모든 일에서 쉬셨느니라.’고 하셨으며 여기에서 다시 ‘그들이 나의 안식에 들어오려면’이라고 하셨느니라…..만일 예수가 그들에게 안식을 주었더라면 하나님께서 그후에 다른 날을 말씀하지 아니하셨으리라. 그러므로 하나님의 백성에게 한 안식이 남아 있도다.”(히 4:4,5,8,9)

     하나님께서는 안식일이 이스라엘 백성들에게 어떤 의미인가를 분명하게 말씀하셨다: “너희는 나의 안식일들을 참으로 지킬지니 이는 그것이 너희 대대에 걸쳐 나와 너희 사이에 표적임이라. 이로써 내가 너희를 거룩케 하는 주임을 너희로 알게 하려는 것이라.”(출 31:13)

그렇다! 안식일은 이스라엘 백성과 직접 관련이 있으며 이 안식일들은 일곱 번째 날, 즉 육천 년이 지나고 그리스도께서 지상 재림하셔서 이 땅에 왕국을 세우시는 표적으로 주신 것이며 왕국을 세우시기 전 칠 년 전쯤에 그리스도의 날이 올 것을 우리에게 계시하시는 것이다.

     셋째 날: “”주께서 모세에게 말씀하시기를 ‘”백성에게로 가서 오늘과 내일 그들을 성결케 하고 그들로 자기 옷들을 빨게 하여 셋째 날을 대비하라. 이는 셋째 날에 주가 온 백성의 목전에서 시내 산 위에 내려갈 것임이라.”(출 19:10,11) 선지자 호세아를 통하여 셋째 날에 대하여 말씀하셨다: “내가 가서 내 자리로 돌아가, 그들이 그들의 범죄를 인정하고 나의 얼굴을 구할 때까지 있으리니, 그들이 고난 중에 있을 때 나를 먼저 찾으리라. 오라, 우리가 주께로 돌아가자. 이는 그가 찢으셨으나 우리를 낫게 하실 것이요, 그가 치셨으나 우리를 싸메어 주실 것임이라. 이틀 후(이천 년 )에 그가 우리를 살리시며, 셋째 날(천년왕국)에 그가 우리를 일으키시리니, 우리가 그의 목전에서 살리라.”(호 5:15-6:2)

     이는 이스라엘 백성들이 그들의 메시야이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 승천하신 후 이천 년이 지나 대 환난 때에 그들이 고난 중에 주님을 부르며 회개할 것과 그들이 회복되어 그리스도의 왕국에서 그분의 목 전에서 영원히 살 것을 예언한 것이다. 이틀 후는 이천 년 후를 말함이며, 셋째 날은 그리스도의 천년왕국을 말씀하는 것이다. 이 셋째 날은 일곱째 날인 안식일과 같은 날인 것이다. 사도 요한도 이 셋째 날에 대하여 증거했다: “셋째 날에 갈릴리 카나에서 혼인식이 있었는데 예수의 모친도 거기에 있더라. 예수와 그의 제자들도 그 혼인식에 초대되었는데 그들에게 포도주가 부족하므로, 예수의 모친이 그에게 말하기를 ‘그들에게 포도주가 없다.’고 하니 예수께서 그녀에게 말씀하시기를 ‘여인이여, 내가 당신과 무슨 상관이 있나이까? 나의 때가 아직 이르지 아니하였나이다.’라고 하시니라.”(요 2:1-4)

     주님께서는 이천 년(이틀)이 지나고 셋째 날에 있을 자신의 혼인식이 아직 이르지 않았음을 말씀하신 것이다. 사도 바울도 그리스도의 복음에 대하여 증거할 때 셋째 날에 대하여 증거했다: “형제들아, 내가 너희에게 전한 복음을 이제 너희로 알게 하노니 이는 너희가 받았고 그 안에 선 것이라. 만일 너희가 내가 전한 복음을 굳게 잡고 헛되이 믿지 아니하였다면 구원받은 것이라. 내가 받은 것을 너희에게 전달하였나니 이는 성경대로 그리스도께서 우리의 죄들로 인하여 죽으시고 장사되셨다가 성경대로 셋째 날에 다시 살아나셔서 게바에게 보이시고 그후에 열두 사도에게 보이신 것이라.”(고전 15;1-5)

     이 복음은 그리스도를 믿어 구원받은 사람들은 그리스도처럼 셋째 날, 즉 이틀(이쳔 년)이 지나면 부활(휴거)할 것을 말씀하신 것이다.

     엿새 후: “진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 여기 서 있는 사람들 몇은 인자가 그 왕국으로 오는 것을 볼 때까지 죽음을 맛보지 아니하리라.’고 하시더라. 엿새 후에 예수께서 베드로와 야고보와 야고보의 형제 요한을 데리고 따로 떨어져 있는 높은 산으로 올라가시어, 그들 앞에서 변형되시니 그의 얼굴은 해처럼 빛나고 그의 옷은 빛처럼 희어지더라. 그런데, 보라. 모세와 엘리야가 그들에게 나타나서 주와 함께 이야기 하더라.”(마 16:28-17:3)

     주님께서는 엿새 후(육천 년이 지난 후 칠일째 되는 그의 천년 왕국) 모세와 엘리야와 함께 그의 왕국에 나타나실 것을 미리 보여주신 것이다. 이 말씀은 마가복음 9:1-4에서도 나타나는 바 “하나님의 나라가 권능으로 임하는 것을 볼 때까지 죽음을 맛보지 아니하리라.”고 말씀하셨다. 누가도 동일한 증거를 하고 있는데, 그는 “엿새 후”를 “약 팔일째 되는 날”로 표현하고 있는 바 이는 팔일이 채 못되는 칠 일 중, 즉 엿새 후에 있을 천년왕국의 기간 중에 있을 일을 증거한 것이다: “그러나 내가 너희에게 한 진실을 말하노니, 여기에 서 있는 자들 몇 사람은 하나님의 나라를 볼 때까지 죽음을 맛보지 아니하리라.’ 고 하시더라. 이 말씀을 하신 후 약 팔일째 되는 날 주께서 베드로와 요한과 야고보를 데리고 기도하러 산으로 올라가기더라. 주께서 기도하실 때에, 그 용모가 변하여 그의 옷은 희고 빛이 나더라. 그런데, 보라, 두 사람이 주와 대화하고 있는데 그들은 모세와 엘리야라. 영광 중에 나타난 그들은 이제 예루살렘에서 이루시려고 하는 주의 죽음에 관하여 이야기하고 있더라.”(눅 9:27-31)

     이 모든 말씀들을 깨닫는다면 주님께서 문 앞에 계신 것을 분명하게 알 수 있을 것이다. 또한 깨달은 성도들은 사도 바울이 권면하신 대로 다른 사람들처럼 영적으로 자지 않고 깨어서 정신을 차릴 것이며, 믿음과 사랑의 흉배를 붙이고 구원의 소망의 투구를 쓸 것이며, 대 환난 전에 하늘로 구원하실 것을 믿는 가운데 평안을 누릴 것이며, 주님이 가까우심을 서로 격려하며 위로하고 서로를 세우게 될 것이며, 주 안에서 수고하며 다스리는 자들을 존경하며 성도 간에 화목하게 될 것이며, 무질서한 자들을 훈계하며, 낙담한 자들을 위로하며, 약한 자들을 붙들어주며, 모든 사람들에게 오래참으며, 아무에게도 악으로 악을 갚지 않으며, 항상 선함을 따르며, 항상 기뻐하며, 쉬지 않고 기도하며, 범사에 감사하며, 성령을 소멸치 않을 것이며, 예언을 멸시치 않을 것이며, 모든 것을 시험하여 보고 선한 것을 붙잡으며, 악은 어떤 형태이든지 피하게 될 것이며, 온 영과 혼과 몸을 그리스도께서 오실 때까지 책망할 것이 없이 보존되도록 최선을 다하게 될 것이다. 또한 그리스도께서 친히 그의 신부들을 온전히 거룩하게 하실 것이라고 사도 바울이 증거했다. 이것이 고난 중에서도 항상 기뻐하고 쉬지 않고 기도하며 범사에 감사할 이유인 것이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 91:1-91

Main scripture: 1Thessalonians 5:1-28

Subject: Blessing of the children of light in the last days, and their model walk

     Apostle Paul wrote a very important epistle to the born again Thessalonians. Firstly, they are the children of light so that they shall be delivered from the wrath (The Great Tribulation) by the Lord Jesus Christ when he appears in the air; and they shall be advised of the day of the Lord so that they may be prepared, and the day should not overtake as a thief. This message is a comforting message for the Bride of Christ living in the last days. Secondly, Apostle Paul is encouraging the saints to do the model walk to prepare the day of Christ. Then what is the light? Lord Jesus Christ testified: “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall shew you things to come.”(John 16:13)

     Yes! In the light of the word of God written in the Spirit, we can see the things to come in advance. These words of God are included in the sixty six books of the Bible. Prophet Daniel, in the midst of reading the book of Jeremiah understood their captivity in Babylon to be ended at the end of seventieth year; and he began to fast and pray to do the model walk as a prophet. Then Gabriel appeared to him to give him the revelation what to happen in the last days same as Apostle John received. Of course we could discern the time through the parable of the fig tree, falling away of the churches, and all the spiritual and physical signs, but we can understand the time frame to know the day of the Lord through the concrete numbers more vividly. Then let us search the scriptures with prayer to understand how much nigh the day of Christ under reflection of the Spirit!

      We can understand through the words of God such as “The third day”, “After two days”, “After six days”, The seventh day”, About an eight days after” and so on.  Apostle Peter made a very important testimony saying, “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”(2Pet. 3:8)

Remembering this truth, it may be possible for the born again Christians to know how much nigh to the day of Christ through the days appeared in the scriptures, even though the day and the time we may not know. Lord Jesus spoke to the angels of the churches saying, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” Only born again Christians of the Spirit may be able to hear the voice of the Holy Ghost. To hear means to understand. When Gabriel appeared to Daniel spoke to him, “O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.”(Dan. 9:22), and he gave him understanding the things to come in the last days of the world.

     Searching the words in the scriptures, we can be prepared to be ready for the day through the wisdom and understanding in the Spirit.

     The seventh day:   “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”(Gen. 2:2,3)  Being related to this scripture, Apostle Paul also testified of the seventh day:  “For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. …   ⁸For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. “(Heb. 4,5,8,9)

     The LORD God spoke to the people of Israel very clearly to let them know the meaning of the Sabbaths: “Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.”(Ex. 31;13)

Yes! The Sabbath day is directly related with the people of Israel. The Holy Ghost reveals us a sign of the kingdom of Christ in the earth at the seventh day that is after six thousand years when Christ is come to the earth. And the day of Christ is to come about seven years before his kingdom to come.

     The third day:  “And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. “(Ex. 19:10,11) And the LORD God spoke of the third day through prophet Hosea: “I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. “(Hos. 5:15-6:2)

     Yes! The people of Israel shall call upon the Lord, their Messiah to repent in the Great Tribulation passing by two thousand years after Jesus Christ is lifted to heaven; they shall forever before the Lord in the restored kingdom. “After two days” means “after two thousand years”; and: The third day” is same as the Sabbath, “the seventh day”. Apostle John testified of the third day: “And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.”(John 2:1-4)

     Jesus revealed of his wedding day that is to come at the third day after passing two thousand years by. Apostle Paul also testified of the third day when he preached the gospel of Christ:   “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:”(1Cor. 15:1-5)

     In the gospel of Christ, there is very good news of the resurrection (the Rapture) of Christians in the third day that is after two days (two thousand years).

       After six days:   “Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.”(Matt. 16:28-17:3)

     Lord Jesus showed his kingdom when he shall appear with Moses and Elias after six days that means his Millennium that is to come in the seventh day after the six thousand years pass by. Mark also testified saying, “….which shall not taste  of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God before them.”(Mark 9:1-4) Luke also testified of “After six days” describing as “About an eight day after”. He means “About eight days after” as in the period of Millennium in the seventh day coming after six days. “But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God. And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. “(Luke 9:27-31)

     If we understand all these words, we may be able to see the Lord Jesus standing at the door. Whosoever understands this truth shall not sleep, as do others, but watch and be sober; put on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation; live in peace in the faith of salvation to heaven before the Great Tribulation; comfort themselves together and edify one another; esteem them that labor among them and are over them in the Lord; and be at peace among them: warn them that are unruly, and comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men; rejoice evermore; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks: quench not the Spirit; Despise not prophesying; prove all things; hold fast that which is good; Abstain from all appearance of evil; shall do best to preserve whole spirit and soul and body blameless unto the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul testified that Christ shall sanctify his brides wholly. This is the reason why we have to rejoice evermore, and pray without ceasing, and in everything we have to give thanks. Amen! Hallelujah!
