금주의 묵상: 시편 24;1-10

본문: 요한복음 2:1-11

제목: 셋째 날에 행하신 예수님의 기적의 영적 의미

     예수님께서 공개적으로 사람들에게 나타나신 첫째 날에는 침례인 요한에게 나타나셔서(요 1:36) 침례인 요한의 두 제자(요한과 안드레)와 시간을 보내셨고, 또 안드레가 데리고 온 베드로를 만나셨다. 둘째 날에는 빌립을 만나셨고, 또 그가 데리고 온 나다나엘을 만나셨다. 그러나 그분께서 실제로 공개적인 사역을 시작하신 날은 “셋째 날”이었다.

     “셋째 날”은 몇 가지 점에서 특별한 의미를 갖는다. 첫째로, 무엇보다도 예수 그리스도께서는 십자가에 달려 돌아가시고 장사한지 셋째 날에 부활하셨다. “셋째 날”은 부활의 날이다.

둘째로, 하나님의 창조 사역이 진행되고 있을 때, 이 지구상에 육지와 바다가 나타나게 하시고 각종 채소들과 열매 맺는 나무들을 그 종류대로 만드신 것도 역시 “셋째 날”이었다(창 1:9-13) “저녁과 아침이 되니 셋째 날이더라.”(창 1;13)

셋째로, 또 성경은 호세아서 6장에서 “셋째 날”에 이스라엘을 일으키셔서 주 예수 그리스도의 목전에서 살게 하시겠다고 말씀하고 있다.

“내가 가서 내 자리로 돌아가, 그들이 그들의 범죄를 인정하고 나의 얼굴을 구할 때까지 있으리니, 그들이 고난 중에 있을 때 나를 먼저 찾으리라. 오라, 우리가 주께로 돌아가자. 이는 그가 우리를 찢으셨으나 우리를 낫게 하실 것이요, 그가 우리를 치셨으나 우리를 싸매어 주실 것임이라. 이틀 후에 그가 우리를 살리시며, 셋째 날에 그가 우리를 일으키시리니, 우리가 그의 목전에서 살리라.”(호 5:15; 6:1,2)

하나님께서는 모세에게도 “셋째 날”을 대비하며 이틀 동안 옷을 빨 것을 이스라엘 백성들에게 말하라고 명령하셨다.

     주님께서는 과거 이천 년(이틀) 동안 이스라엘을 “찢으셨고” “치셨다.” 그러나 그분께서는 이스라엘을 “낫게” 하시고 “싸매어” 주시며 그들을 살리시게 될 그 “이틀”(2천 년)은 이제 다 지나갔다. 이제 하나님께서 그들을 일으키시어 이스라엘이 회복될 “셋째 날”(천년왕국)이 지금 눈 앞에 가까이 다가오고 있다.

     이 말씀은 휴거를 기다리고 있는 우리들에게는 너무도 흥분되고 소망과 기쁨이 되는 소식이다. 천년왕국이 눈 앞에 와 있다는 사실은 그 이전에 우리 앞에 나타날 그리스도의 날인 휴거의 날이 먼저 오기 때문이다. 이스라엘의 회복은 그 앞서 예수 그리스도의 신부들이 영광스럽게 그리스도를 공중에서 만난 후 약 7년 후에 이루어질 것이기 때문이다.

     본문에서 예수 그리스도께서 사실 상 첫번째 활동을 시작하신 이 “셋째 날”은 공교롭게도 론인식에 초대받으신 날이었다. 그리스도께서 재림하시고 이 땅에 천년왕국이 세워질 때, 천국 백성이 된 이스라엘은 그날이 즐겁고 기쁜 날일 것이다. 그날 이스라엘은 하나님의 아내로 회복되는 날이기 때문이다. 선지자 이사야는 그 “셋째 날”에 대하여 이렇게 증거했다:

“두려워 말라. 네가 수치를 당하지 않으리라. 당황하지 말라. 네가 부끄러움에 처하지 않을 갓이라. 네가 네 젊은 시절의 수치를 잊을 것이며, 네 과부 때의 치욕을 더 이상 기억하지 않을 것이라. 너를 지으신 분이 네 남편이니 만군의 주가 그의 이름이며, 너의 구속주, 이스라엘의 거룩한 분이라.”(사 54:4,5) 그들은 통치자 왕으로 오신 주 예수 그리스도를 향하여 “주의 이름으로 오시는 이는 복이 있도다.”(마 23:39, 눅 13:35) 하고 외치며 그분을 맞이할 것이다.

     성경에서 포도주는 기쁨을 상징하기도 한다.

“그가 가축을 위하여 풀을, 사람의 유익을 위하여 채소를 자라게 하시니 이는 땅에서 먹을 것이 나게 하심이며 사람의 마음을 기쁘게 하는 포도주와 사람의 얼굴에 윤기가 나게 하는 기름과 사람의 마음에 힘을 돋우는 빵을 주심이라.”(시 104:14,15) 가나 혼인식에서 포도주가 떨어졌다. 다시 말해서 기쁨이 사라졌다는 것이다. 이것은 이스라엘의 영적 상태이자 오늘날 마지막 때의 그리스도인들의 영적 상태라 할 수 있다.  초림하신 예수님을 영접하지 않았던 이스라엘 백성들이나, 마지막 때인 지금 다시 오실 예수 그리스도를 영접하지 아니한 사람들에게나 기쁨이 사라진 것은 마찬가지다.

    “그들에게 포도주가 없다”라고 말하는 마리아를 향하여 “여인이여, 내가 당신과 무슨 상관이 있나이까? 나의 때가 아직 이르지 아니하였나이다.”라고 말씀하셨지만, “그가 너희에게 무엇을 말씀하시든지 그대로 행하라.”는 마리아의 말을 들으신 후 유대인의 정결의식에 따라 한 통에 두세 메트라타를 담는 돌로 된 물통이 여섯 개 놓여 있는 것을 보시면서 “통을 물로 채우라.”고 말씀하셨을 때, 그들이 아구까지 물로 채웠고, 예수께서 “이제 떠다가 잔치를 주관하는 사람에게 가져다 주라.”고 하셨다. 창조주이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 “가져다 주라.”는 말씀으로 물이 포도주로 변하는 창조의 역사를 하신 것이다. “빛이 있으라.” (창 1:3) 하셨을 때 빛이 있었던 것처럼 말이다.

     첫째로, 예수 그리스도께서 “나의 때”라고 말씀하실 때, 그 “때”란 항상 죽으실 때를 의미한다. 사도 요한은 주님의 때에 대하여 “주께 손을 대는 자가 아무도 없었으니, 이는 그의 때가 아직 이르지 않았기 때문이라.”(요 7:30)고 기록하고 있고, 주님 자신은 그의 때에 대하여 “인자가 영광 받을 시간이 왔도다.”(요 12:23)라고 말씀하셨다. 물이 포도주가 되어야 하는 것처럼 세상 죄를 사하시기 위하여 붉은 피를 흘리셔야만 죄인들에게 비로소 기쁨을 주실 수 있기 때문이다.

       둘째로, “나의 때”라고 말씀하실 때란, 셋째 날이 이르기 직전에 자신의 죽음을 통하여 자신의 살과 뼈가 된 자신의 신부들을 하늘로 들려올리셔서 어린 양의 혼인식을 하시는 날인 것이다. 첫 사람 아담이 자신의 죽음을 통하여 창조된 이브를 맞이하면서 “이는 이제 내 뼈들 중의 뼈요, 내 살 중의 살이니”(창 2:23)라고 말한 것처럼 주님께서도 그의 신부들을 맞이하실 때 이렇게 말씀하실 것이다. 이 진리를 깨달은 시도 바울은 “이는 우리가 그의 몸과 그의 살과 그의 뼈의 지체임이라.”(엡 5:30)고 증거했다.

     어린 양 주 예수 그리스도의 혼인식을 성령 안에서 미리 본 사도 요한은 기쁨이 넘치는 광경을 증거했다:

“’기뻐하고 즐거워하며 그분께 존귀를 돌리세. 이는 어린 양의 혼인식이 다가왔고 그의 아내도 자신을 예비하였음이라. 이제 그녀에게 허락하사 정결하고 흰 세마포를 입게 하셨으니 세마포는 성도들의 의라.’고 하더라. 그때 그가 내게 말하기를 ‘어린 양의 혼인 잔치에 초대된 그들은 복이 있다고 기록하라.’ 하고 또 내게 말하기를 ‘이것은 참된 하나님의 말씀들이라.’고 하더라.”(계 19:7-9)

     그렇다! 주 예수 그리스도께서는 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주로서 셋째 날이 될 환란 끝에 그의 신부들과 함께 이 땅을 통치하시기 위하여 내려오실 것이다. 주님께서는 이 날에 포도 열매에서 난 포도즙을 제자들과 함께 다시 마시게 될 것이다. 이에 대해 마태는 이렇게 증거했다:

“또 잔을 가지고 감사를 드린 후에 그들에게 주시며 말씀하시기를 ‘이것을 모두 마시라. 이는 이것이 죄들을 사하심으로 인하여 많은 사람을 위해 흘리는 새 언약의 피이기 때문이라. 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 이제부터 내가 너희와 함꼐 내 아버지의 왕국에서 새 것으로 마시는 그 날까지 이 포도 열매에거 난 것을 마시지 아니하리라.”(마 26:27-29)

     “통을 물로 채우라.”는 주님의 명령 가운데 들어잇는 영적인 교훈이 무엇인지 살펴보자! 주님의 말씀대로 통 여섯 개를 모두 물로 채웠을 때 “이제 떠다가 잔치를 주관하는 사람에게 가져다 주라.” 말씀하셨고, 그들이 가져다 주었을 때 즉시 물이 포도주로 변하게 된 것이다. 종들은 그리스도께서 명하신대로 물을 담고 가져다 주면서도 어떤 일이 일어날지는 전혀 상상할 수 없었다. 하나님께서는 종들에게 말씀하시고, 종들이 순종할 때 역사하시는 것이다. 하나님은 말씀하시고 종들은 순종하기만 하면 하나님의 영광을 보게 되는 것이다. 종들이 하나님의 말씀에 순종하기 전에는 어떤 역사가 일어날지 전혀 알 수 없는 것이다. 그러므로 하나님의 모든 말씀은 예수 그리스도를 믿어 구원받은 그리스도의 종들로 하여금 믿고 순종하라고 주신 것이다. 순종하기 전에는 어떤 역사도 볼 수 없기 때문이다.

     “물”은 성경에 기록된 “말씀”을 상징한다. 사도 바울은 이 “물”에 대하여 에베소 교회 성도들에게 증거했다:

“이는 그가 교회를 말씀에 의한 물로 씻어 거룩하게 하시고 깨끗게 하사 자기 앞에 영광스러운 교회로 나타내서 점이나 주름진 것이나 또는 그러한 것들이 없이 거룩하고 흠 없게 하려 하심이니라.”(엡 5:26,27)

그렇다! 종들이 해야 할 가장 중요한 일은 이처럼 “말씀”부터 물통에 채우는 일이다. 채우되 아구까지 기득 채워야 한다. 그러지 않고서는 “포도주,” 즉 “순수한 그리스도의 피”를 죄인들에게 갖다 줄 수가 없기 때문이다. 또한 여기에 또, 준비 되어 있던 물통이 하필이면 여섯 개였다. “여섯”은 종종 사람을 상징하는 숫자다. 사람은 하나님의 창조 사역 여섯째 날에 지어졌다. 사람이 안식하려면 엿새 동안 일을 해야만 한다. 이 엿새 동안 하나님의 보살핌이 없이는 사람은 무력할 수밖에 없다. 텅 빈 물통 여섯 개라면 죄로 인한 인간의 불완전성을 뜻함을 쉽게 알 수 있다. 그러나 거기에 “말씀”의 물이 가득 채워질 때, 그 사람은 그리스도의 피로 온전하게 되는 것이다. 그래서 주님께서는 종들에게 “통을 물로 채우라.”고 지시하신다. 이 통들은 유대인들의 정결의식에 사용하는 물통들이었다. 그러므로 사도 바울은 그리스도의 신부들이 말씀에 의한 물로 씻어 거룩하게 하시고 점도 없고 주름도 없이 영광스러운 신부들로 나타나라고 말씀한 것이다.

     주님께서 공생애 동안 제자들을 말씀으로 채워주셨으며 성령이 오신 오순절 날에 그들은 순수함 그리스도의 피를 증거할 수 있었으며 그들의 증거를 받고 그리스도의 피를 믿어 영적인 순수한 포도주를 마셨던 그들은

“날마다 하나가 되어 꾸준히 성전에 모이며, 또 집집마다 돌아가며 빵을 떼고 즐거움과 순전한 마음으로 음식을 먹으며 하나님을 찬양하고 또 모든 사람에게 칭찬을 받았다.”(행 2;46,47)

     주님께서 만드신 포도주는 알콜이 섞이지 않은 순수한 포도즙이었다. 주님께서는 제자들에게 포도 열매에서 난 것을 다시 마시게 될 것이라고 말씀하셨다. 유대인들은 광야 생활에서 술을 마시지 않았다. 그들은 다만 “포도의 순수한 피”(신 32:14)를 마셨다. 옛날 이집트의 파라오 왕도 종들이 포도를 따서 잔에다 즙을 짜서 마셨다 (창 40:11) 한글판 개역성경에서는 “포도즙의 붉은 술”이라 옮겨 놓음으로써 예수 그리스도의 피가 마치 발효된 알코올성 포도주로 상징되는 것처럼 만들어 놓았다. NIV영어 성경은 한 술 더 떠서 “the foaming blood of grape”(포도의 거품이 이는 피)라고 표현하여 그것이 어찌나 발효가 잘 되었던지 부글부글 거품이 일 정도로 된 포도주로 묘사해 놓고 있는 것이다.

     예수 그리스도의 피는 이처럼 “새 포도주”로 예표되엇다. 이 피는 예수 그리스도께서 십자가에 달려 돌아가실 때가 되어야 흘리시게 되어 있었다. 그런데 마리아는 그리스도께로 와서 “그들에게 포도주가 없다”고 알리면서 “지금” 당장 포도주를 만들어 줄 것을 요청하였던 것이다. 이때 에수께서는 “지금은” “나의 때가 아직 이르지 아니하였나이다.”라고 대답하신 것은 당연한 것이엇다. 그러나 예수께서는 조만간 자신의 죽으심과 더불어 피를 흘리시게 될 때 믿는 자들에게 영원히 진정한 기쁨을 주실 것을 미리 보여주셨던 것이다.

     그렇다! 지금이 바로 그분께서 흘리신 순수한 피를 믿어 영원한 생명을 받을 은혜의 날이며 구원의 날이며 구원받은 주님의 종들은 말씀의 물을 아구까지 채워, 말씀에 의한 물로 정결한 신부단장을 하면서 순수한 포도주를 사람들에게 떠다주어 마시게 할 때인 것이다. 주님께서 “이리 올라오라”는 나팔소리같은 음성을 듣는 순간까지 이 은혜의 복음을 전해야 하는 것이다. 하나님께서는 죄인들을 정결케 하기 위하여 6천 년 동안 말씀의 물을 주셨다. 6개의 물통을  채울 시간을 주신 것이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 24:1-10

Subject: Spiritual truth in the miracle of Jesus done the third day

      In the first day when Jesus appeared to the public, he met with John the Baptist (john 1:36), and spent with his disciples, John and Andrew, and met with Peter who was led by Andrew. In the second day, he saw Philip and Nathanael brought by Philip. But it was the “third day” when he began real ministry for public.

     “The third day” has special meaning in several points.

Firstly, Jesus Christ died on the cross, and buried, and rose again the third day; the third day is the day of resurrection.

     Secondly, in the process of creation of God, God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together waters called be Seas. In the third day, God let the earth bring forth grass, the herbs yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind (Gen. 1:9-13). And the evening and the morning were the third day (Gen. 1:13)

     Thirdly, the scripture foretold in the book of Hosea chapter 6 that God shall raise Israel up in the third day so that they may live in his sight.:

“I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.(Hosea 5:15-6:2)

The LORD God spoke to Moses for him to tell the people of Israel to wash their clothes to prepare for the third day

     The LORD God has torn Israel for the past two thousand years, and smitten them. But he shall heal them, and bind them up, for two thousand years has been passed by. It is matter of time before God raise them up to open his Millennium Kingdom before our eyes.

     This message is so excited and joyful in the hope of the Rapture to come for us, for the day of Rapture shall come ahead of the Millennium Kingdom; the restoration of Israel shall come about seven years after the Bride of Christ meets with Lord Jesus in the air in the glory.

       In the main passage, the day when Jesus was invited to the wedding was the third day when he began his first ministry. When Christ comes again to the earth to establish his Millennium Kingdom, it shall be the day of joy and pleasure for the Israel that shall be the citizens of the kingdom of heaven. In that day, Israel shall be restored as the wife of God again. Prophet Isaiah testified of the third day:

“Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.”(Isa. 54:4,5)

They shall greet the Lord Jesus Christ coming as their king, shouting out, “Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”(Matt. 23:39, Luke 13:35)

     In the scripture, wine symbolizes joy:

“He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth; And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.”(Ps. 104:14, 15)

     There was shortage of wine in the marriage in Cana; and the joy was going to disappear. This is the spiritual situation of Israel as well as modern Christian in the end time. The people of Israel rejected Jesus; and modern Christian is also not willing to receive the Second Coming Jesus Christ; this is the very reason why no joy is left for both of them.

     Toward Mary saying, “They have no wine.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, what have I to do with thee?” But upon hearing Mary saying unto the servants, “Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.”, Jesus saw six water pots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two of three firkins apiece; and said, “Fill the water pots with water.” They filled them up to the brim; and Jesus said to them, “Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast.” The word of the creator saying, “Bear unto the governor of the feast!” created wine in the waters, as he said, Let there be light: and there was light (Gen. 1:3).

     Firstly, whenever Jesus said of “Mine hour”, it was the time when he dies. Apostle John testified of his hour:

“Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.”(John 7:30)

Jesus himself also testified of his hour saying, “The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified”(John 12:23)

As the water should be changed into wine, Jesus can give the joy unto the sinners only through shedding his scarlet blood.

     Secondly, “His hour” is the day of the marriage of the Lamb when he translates his bride that became his flesh and bone through his death. As the first man, Adam welcomed his bride created through his death saying, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”(Gen. 2:23), The Lord Jesus shall speak to his bride, “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.”(Eph. 5:30)

     Apostle John saw the marriage of the Lamb in the Spirit; and he testified of the scene of joy:

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. “(Rev. 19:7-9)

     Yea! The Lord Jesus Christ shall come back to the earth to reign with his Bride as the King of Kings, and the Lord of the Lords at the end of the Great Tribulation when it shall be the third day. The Lord Jesus shall drink new wine from the fruit of vine with his disciples. Matthew testified of this:

“And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.”(Matt. 26:27-29)

     Let us search the spiritual teaching in the word commanding, “Fill the water pots with water.” When the servants filled them up to the brim, Jesus said to them, “Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast.” And when they brought them forth, the water was changed into wine. The servants couldn’t expect what to happen. The miracle happened just when the servants obeyed the word of the Lord Jesus. We shall see the glory of God just when we obey the word of the Lord whatever he speaks unto us. The servants of the Lord cannot see anything unless they obey the word of God. Therefore all the words of God are given unto the servants of Christ Jesus that are saved for them believe and obey. No obedience, no miracle at all!

     “Water” symbolizes the word of God written in the bible. Apostle Paul testified of the water to the saints of the church of Ephesians:

“That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”(Eph. 5:26, 27)

     Yea! The most important thing that has to be done by the servants is to fill the words of God in the water pots that are their heart to the brim. Unless we do this, we cannot bring forth the wine that is the pure blood of Christ to the sinners. There were six water pots; the number of six often symbolizes man. Man was made in the sixth day in the creation of God. Man should work hard to rest in the seventh day. For the six days, every man needs the care of God desperately. Empty water pots can be compared to imperfect man because of sin. But when the words of God fill the man, he shall be perfect with the blood of Christ. Therefore Jesus commanded them to fill the water pots with water. The water pots were after the manner of the purifying of the Jews. Therefore Apostle Paul said that Christ might sanctify and cleanse the Bride of Christ that is his church with the washing of water by the word to make them to be glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such things; but that they should be holy and without blemish.

     The Lord Jesus filled his disciples with the words of God during his earthly ministry; therefore they could testify of the pure blood of Christ in the day of Pentecost. They that believed in the blood of Christ upon hearing his disciples were filled with joy as testified by Luke:

“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people….”(Acts 2:46, 47)

     The wine made by Jesus was pure wine not contained any alcohol. Jesus said to his disciples they shall drink again of the new fruit of the vine when he come again.

The Jews didn’t drink any alcohol in the wilderness. But they drank the pure blood of the wine (Deut. 32:14). Even Pharaoh, the king of Egypt drank pure wine out of pressed grape in the cup (Gen. 40:11) The Revised version in Korean translated as “the bloody wine of pressed grape” to imply the blood of Jesus as fermented alcoholic wine. The NIV version made worse that this translating as “the foaming blood of grape” as the wine is fermented to the maximum even making foams in it.

     The blood of Jesus Christ is described as “the new wine”. This blood was supposed to be shed on the cross. But Mary asked Jesus to make that wine right away even before his hour not came yet saying, “They have no wine.” It was natural for Jesus said, “Mine hour is not yet come.” But Jesus wanted to show them eternally true joy in advance to be given unto them that believe on him when he shed his blood with his death sooner or later.

     Yea! This is the time for the day of grace and salvation when we receive the eternal life through believing on his pure blood. On the other hand, the servants that are saved have to fill the water of the word of God in their heart to the brim making up to be the Bride of Christ; and bring forth the pure wine to the sinners for them drink. We have to preach the gospel of grace until the hour when we hear the voice of the Lord Jesus as the sound of trumpet saying, “Come up hither!” God has given six thousand years to the world so that the sinners should be purified by his words. In other word, he has given to the world for them to fill the water in the six water pots. Amen! Hallelujah!
