금주의 묵상: 시편 133:1-3

본문: 요한복음 20:19-29

제목: 하나님께서 인정하시는 참 그리스도의 몸된 교회

       예수께서 십자가에서 죽으시기 전에 앞으로 세우실 교회에 대하여 베드로에게 말씀하셨다. "주는 그리스도, 곧 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다."(마 16:16)라는 신앙고백을 하는 자들이 반석이신 주 예수 그리스도 위에 세워질 것을 말씀하셨다: "너는 베드로라, 그리고 이 반석 위에 내가 나의 교회를 세우리니, 지옥의 문들이 이기지 못하리라."(마 16:18) 사도 바울은 이 반석이 로마 교회에서 주장하는 베드로가 아니고 주 예수 그리스도이심을 증거했다 (고전 10:4).

        또한, 주님께서는 교회 안에서 징계받을 사람들에 대하여 말씀하셨다: "또 네 형제가 네게 죄를 짓거든 가서 너와 그 사람만 있을 때 그에게 잘못을 일러주라. 그가 네 말을 들으면 너는 그 형제를 얻은 것이라. 그러나 그 형제가 네 말을 듣지 아니하거든 너 외에 한두 사람을 더 데리고 가서 두세 증인의 입으로 모든 말을 입증하게 하라. 그래도 그가 네 말을 듣지 아니하거든 교회에다 말하고, 교회의 말도 듣지 아니하거든 그 사람을 이교도나 세리같이 여기라."(마 18:15-17)  

        그런 후에 주님께서는 지역교회의 단순한 형식에 대하여 말씀하셨다: "두세 사람이 내 이름으로 함께 모이는 곳에는 나도 그들 가운데 있느니라."(마 18:20) 또한 주님께서는 교회 안에 있는 형제가 죄를 지었을 때 일흔 번씩 일곱 번까지라도 용서해 줄 것을 말씀하셨다 (마 18:21,22)

       본문을 통하여 우리는 성령이 오신  오순절 이후에  이 땅에 세워질 주님의 교회에 대하여 보여주시고 있다. 다시 말해서 주님께서 임재하시는 교회에 대하여 보여주시면서 주님께서 임재하실 때 주님께서 주시는 것들과 또한 성도 간의 죄 문제들을 어떻게 다룰 것에 대하여 말씀하신다. 바로 본문에 나타난 형제 자매들의 모임이 교회인 것이다. 어떤 건물도 교회가 될 수 없는 것이다.

         주님께서 부활하신 안식 후 그 주의 첫날 저녁에 주의 제자들은 유대인들을 두려워하여 문을 잠그고 모여 있었다. 다시 말해서 그들은 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 모여있었던 것이다. 우리는 이 말씀 가운데 "두세 사람이 내 이름으로 함께 모이는 곳에는 나도 그들 가운데 있느니라."(마 18:20)고 말씀하신 의미가 무엇인지 알 수 있는 것이다. 그들 제자들은 죽음을 무릅쓰고 함께 모여 있었던 것이다. 누구든지 붙잡히기만 하면 목숨이 위태로운 상황이었지만 그들은 오직 주 예수 그리스도를 믿었기에 그들을 박해하는 유대인들과 로마 정부로부터 분리되어 함께 모여 있었던 것이다. 그들은 최초로 지하교회를 이루고 있었다. 이때에 부활하신 주님께서 약속하신대로 그들 가운데 나타나셨다.

       그들 가운데 나타나신 주님께서 그들 가운데 서서 "너희에게게 평강이 있으라."고 말씀하셨다. 지금도 주님의 이름으로 오신 성령께서 임재하시는 교회에 임하신 주님께서도 가장 먼저 평강을 주시는 것이다. 예배 때나 성경공부 시간이나 성도 간의 교제 시간이나 주님의 이름으로 제자들이 모인 장소마다 주님께서 임하셔서 평강을 주시는 것이다. 이런 주님의 임재가 없는 곳은 교회라 할 수 없는 것이다.

       평강을 주신 주님께서 그들에게 자신의 손과 옆구리를 보여주실 때에 제자들이  부활하신 주님을  보고 기뻐하였다. 그렇다! 주님께서 임재하신 곳에는 주님의 영광을 보게 되므로 기쁨이 넘치게 되는 것이다. 주님의 영광이 무엇인가? 우리의 죄들을 위하여 죽으시고 부활하신 그 은혜를 깨닫고 회개하고 주님을 모셔들일 때에 성령께서 주시는 기쁨인 것이다.

       이때에 주님께서는 '너희에게 펑강이 있으라."고 말씀하시면서 "내 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것같이 나도 너희를 보내노라."는 메세지를 주시는 것이다. 바로 주님께서 주님의 일로 부르시는 부르심의 음성을 듣게 되는 것이다. 주님께서는 구원받은 모든 그리스도인들을 세상으로 보내시기를 원하시는 것이다. 아버지 하나님께서 주님을 보내실 때 하나님 아버지의 사랑을 전하신 것처럼, 우리 모두는 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜, 다시 말해서 그분께서 온 세상 죄들을 위하여 피흘려 죽으시고 성경대로 셋째 날에 부활하신 은혜를 전하여 믿는 자마다 영생을 얻게 하시려는  사명을 주신 것이다.

      부르심의 음성을 듣는 자들에게 주님께서 숨을 내쉬면서 "성령을 받으라."고 말씀하신다. 주님께서 승천하시기 직전에 제자들에게 "성령께서 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 능력을 받으리니 그러면 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내게 증인이 되리라."(행 1:8)고 말씀하셨다. 그렇다! 성령은 하나님의 능력인 것이다. 그 능력을 받아야 모든 어려움과 핍박을 이겨내고 주님의 일을 할 수 있기 때문인 것이다.

       마지막으로 주님께서는 아주 중요한 말씀을 주신다. 죄에 대한 것이다. 성도들이 누구의 죄든지 용서하면 그들이 죄사함을 받게 되고, 누구든지 그대로 두면 그대로 있게 된다는 것이다.

주님께서는 이미 우리의 모든 죄들을 용서하셨다. 그러므로 우리도 우리에게 죄를 지은 모든 사람을 용서해야 하는 것이다. 주님께서 가르치신 기도 가운데에도 분명한 말씀이 있는 것이다. 스테반 집사는 자신을 돌로 치는 사람들의 죄를 용서하면서 "주여, 이 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 마옵소서" (행 7:60)라고 부르짖으면서 잠들었다. 그렇다! 교회 안에서 죄를 용서하는 일이야말로 교회 안에 평강이 임재하게 하는 가장 중요한 일이 되는 것이다. 아직까지 용서하지 못한 사람이 있다면 주님 앞에서 그들을 용서하여 주님께서 주시는 평강을 누맇 때인 것이다.

        주님께서 약속하신 대로 하나님의 교회는 "지옥의 문들이 절대로 이기지 못한다" 그러나 이 마지막 때에 우리는 수많은 교회들이 지옥문에 삼켜지고 있는 것을 본다. 그러나 실은 그 교회들은 주님의 교회가 아닌 것이다. 주님의 교회는 단 하나밖에 없다. 이 지상 여러 곳에 두세 사람이 주님의 이름으로 모인 곳이 수없이 많이 있는 것이다. 주님의 눈에는 그들 모두를 하나의 몸으로 보고 계시는 것이며 이 보이지 않는 교회만이 머리 되신 주님께서 공중에 나타나실 때 휴거되어 머리되신 주님과 연합하게 되는 것이다. 그러므로, 우리들이 모여있는 이 교회가 주님의 몸의 일부가 되어야만 하는 것이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 133:1-3

Subject: True body of Christ, the church honored by God

       Jesus said unto Peter of the church that shall be built in the future, before he was crucified. He said unto him, they that confess, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."(Matt. 16:16) shall be built on the Lord Jesus Christ that is the ROCK:

"That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."(Matt. 16:18) Apostle Paul testified of the ROCK that is not Peter as Roman Catholic church insists, but the Lord Jesus Christ (1Cor. 10:4)

       Thereafter, Jesus spoke of the discipline in the future church: "Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican."(Matt. 18:15-17)

       He also spoke of the simplest form of a local church: "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."(Matt. 18:20) And Jesus said unto Peter that he is supposed to forgive others until seventy times seven (Matt. 21,22)

       Through the main passage, we see the revelation of the church to be built in the earth after the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Ghost comes. In other word, we see the church where the presence of the Lord is. An we also see what the Lord Jesus shall give the church when he shall be in the midst of the church, as well as how the church shall handle the problems among the saints. The very assembly of brothers and sisters in Christ is the church. Any kind of building cannot be the church.

       The disciples of the Lord Jesus were assembled on the first day of the week after Jesus rose again passing the Sabbath day. The door was shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews. They were assembled in the name of the Lord. Now, we have better understanding of the word of Jesus, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."(Matt. 18:20) They were assembled even under threat of death. Whosoever was arrested could be killed; but they gathered together with the faith in the Lord Jesus Christ separated from the Jews and the Roman Government. We can see the first underground church. At this moment, Jesus of resurrection appeared to them as he promised.

         Jesus stood in the midst of them, and said unto them, "Peace be unto you." Even today, the Holy Ghost which came  in the name of the Lord is willing to give the peace unto his church through his presence; whether in worship service, in the fellowship of saints, and in bible study and so on. Without the presence of the Holy Ghost, no church can be called true church.

       Thereafter Jesus showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad. Yea! We also be glad in the presence of the Lord Jesus through the Holy Ghost, because we can see the glory of the Lord. Then what is the glory of the Lord? This is the joy given by the Holy Ghost when we understand the grace that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again for us so that we repent and receive him.

       Then the Lord Jesus spoke unto them again, "Peace be unto you" And he gave unto them a message, "as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you" In the midst of the presence of the Lord Jesus, we can hear the voice of calling unto his ministry. Our Lord Jesus wants all of us to send them all that are saved to the world. As the Lord Jesus  preached the love of God when he was sent by the Father, he has given unto us to preach the grace of Christ that  gives the eternal life unto whomsoever believes on Christ that died for the sin of the world, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

       Unto them that hears the calling of the Lord, the Lord Jesus Christ breathes and says,, "Receive ye the Holy Ghost:" Jesus spoke of the Holy Ghost, right before he was lifted to heaven saying, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."(Act 1:8)

Yea! The Holy Ghost is the power of God. We need the power of God to overcome all kinds of sufferings and persecutions to finish his ministry.

Finally, the Lord Jesus gave unto them a very important message. That was of sins. He said, "Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained." Our Lord Jesus Christ has forgiven all our sins. Therefore we have to forgive all that sin against us. In the Lord's prayer, we hear the same message. Brother Stephen forgave them that stoned him, and said, "Lord, lay not this sin to their charge."(Act 7:60) And he fall asleep. Yea! Forgiveness of sins in the church is the most important factor that bring forth peace within church. 

       As the Lord Jesus Christ promised, the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church of God. But, unfortunately, we have seen many churches are prevailed by the gates of hell in the last days. But, speaking the truth, such kind of churches may not the one recognized by God. The church of God is the only one that consists of many small group of saints, even two or three of them gather together being spread out in many different places in the earth. In the eyes of the Lord, they are the one body. Only the invisible body of Christ shall be translated when Christ that is the head of them appears to be united with him. Therefore, this church should be a part of the body of Christ. Amen! Hallelujah!
