금주의 묵상: 시편 24:1-10

본문: 디도서 3:2-9

제목: 성령으로 다시 태어나 하나님의 영원한 상속자가 되는 축복

      사도 바울은 영적인 아들 디도에게 영생의 소망 안에서 주시는 영원한 상속에 대하여 편지하고 있다. 죄악 세상에서 태어나 죄 가운데 살고 있는 인간들을 향하여 구주 하나님의 인자하심과 사랑이 나타나서 인간의 어떤 의로운 행위가 아닌 하나님의 자비로운 은혜로 주신 구원(엡 2:8, 9)에 대하여 증거하고 있는 것이다. 또한 하나님의 자비가 나타나셔서 인간에게 주신 은혜를 "중생(Regeneration:重生)의 씻음과 성령의 새롭게 하심"이라고 증거하고 있는 것이다. 또한 성령으로 새롭게 하셨을뿐만 아니라 이 성령을 예수 그리스도 우리 구주를 통하여 풍성히 부어주셔서 그의 은혜로 의롭게 하시고 영원한 소망을 따라 상속자들이 되게 하셨다고 증거하고 있다.

       주님께서 육신을 입고 나타나셨을 때에 중생하지 못한, 즉 거듭나지 못한 바리새인 니고데모에게 "사람이 거듭나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라(왕국)을 볼 수 없느니라….사람이 물과 성령으로 태어나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라(왕국)에 들어갈 수 없느니라."(요 3:3,5)고 말씀하셨다. 본문에서 사도 바울은 거듭남이 바로 "중생의 씻음과 성령의 새롭게 하심"이라고 디도에게 말씀하고 있는 것이다. 다시 말해서 육신의 어머니로부터 한 번 출생한 사람은 예수 그리스도의 복음을 믿음으로써 모든 죄들을 용서받아 성령으로 다시 태어나서 새롭게 되어 새 피조물(고후 5:17)이 되어야 죄악 세상으로부터 하나님의 나라(왕국)에 들어갈 수 있다는 진리인 것이다.

       영어 킹제임스 성경에서 중생(거듭남)에 대하여 "Born again"이란 단어 대신에 "Regeneration"이란 단어를 사용한 것을 보면 거듭남이란 완전한 새로운 탄생임을 알 수 있는 것이다. 이에 대하여 사도 바울은 고린도 교회에게 편지할 때에 "그러므로 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라. 옛 것들은 지나갔으니, 보라, 모든 것이 새롭게 되었도다."(고후 5:17)라고 증거한 것이다.

       아담과 이브가 죄를 짓기 전 에덴 동산이 얼마나 아름답고 완벽했을지 상상해 본 적이 있는가? 그곳에는 죄도 사망도 늙음도 썩음도 없고 어떤 저주도 없던 곳이 아니었던가? 사람은 물론이고 피조물들과 창조물들 모두가 같은 축복을 누리고 있지 않았던가? 우리는 그 당시 이 땅에 이루어졌던 하나님의 왕국이며 명실상부한 지상 천국을 성령 안에서 생각해 보면 볼수록 우리 앞에 놓여있는 하나님의 왕국 안에서 누릴 영원한 상속에 대한 소망으로 충만하게 될 것이다.

     그러나 불행하게도, 첫 사람이 죄를 지었을 때 이 지상의 모든 아름다움들이 순간적으로 저주와 사망과 썩음으로 전락하게 되었던 것이다. 하나님께서 아담에게 "네가 아내의 음성에 경청한 까닭에, 내가 네게 명하여 말하기를 '너는 그것을 먹지 말라.'고 한 그 나무의 열매를 먹었으니, 너로 인하여 땅은 저주를 받고 너는 너의 전생에 동안 고통 중에서 그 소산을 먹으리라. 또 땅은 네게 가시나무와 엉겅퀴를 낼 것이요 너는 들의 채소를 먹을 것이며, 네가 땅으로 돌아갈 때까지 네 얼굴에 땀을 흘려야 빵을 먹으리니, 이는 네가 땅에서 취해졌음이라. 너는 흙이니 흙으로 돌아갈 것이라."(창 3:15-19)고 말씀하신 것이다.

      그러나, 하나님께서는 그 순간부터 이 땅에 죄를 가져와서 인간들과 그들이 살고 있는 지구 전체를 저주와 사망으로 들어가게 한 마귀를 멸하시기로 작정하셨다(히 2:18, 요일 3:8). 또한 동시에 마귀의 수중에 들어간 모든 사람들을 그리스도 안에서 구원하시기로 작정하셨던 것이다(엡 1:4,5). 그리하여 하나님의 원수인 마귀를 하늘로부터 쫓아내시고 또한 이 지구상으로부터 영원히 멸하여 하늘과 땅에 죄와 사망이 없는 의만 거하는 하나님의 왕국을 회복하시기를 원하셨던 것이다. 이 때에 이 지구상에 다시 한번 에덴을 회복하시기로 계획하신 것이다. 그러므로 이 모든 문제의 원인이 되는 죄를 제거하시기 위하여 하나님께서 인류의 모든 죄들을 그의 몸에 전가 받으시고 진노의 잔을 마신 후에 모든 인류의 죄들과 함께 십자가에 못박히셔서 물과 피를 다 쏟으셔서 영원한 속죄를 이루신 것이다(히 10:11-18). 또한 그분을 믿는 자마다 성령을 주셔서 새롭게 하실 뿐만 아니라 하나님의 왕국에서 영원한 상속을 주시는 것이다.

       사도 바울은 로마에 있는 성도들에게 편지할 때 그들에게도 이 진리를 전파했다: "무릇 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 이들은 곧 하나님의 아들들이니라. 너희는 다시 두려워하는 종의 영을 받지 아니하였고 양자 되는 영을 받았으므로 그에 따라 우리가 '아바, 아버지'라 부르짖느니라. 성령이 친히 우리의 영과 함께 우리가 하나님의 자녀임을 증거하시거니와 자녀이면 또한 상속자들이니 하나님의 상속자들이요, 그리스도와 함께 한 공동상속자들이니 우리가 그와 함께 고난을 받은 것은 함께 영광도 받게 하려 함이니라. 이는 현재의 고난들이 우리에게 나타나게 될 영광에 감히 비교되지 못한다고 내가 여기기 때문이라."(롬 8:14-18)

       자, 그렇다면 우리 앞에 있는 영광이 어떤 것인가? 바로 그 영광은 장차 이 땅에 이루어질 하나님의 왕국, 즉 천년왕국에서 나타나게 될 영광인 것이다. 이 영광에 대하여 세상 사람들과 거듭나지 못한 기독교 안에 있는 종교인들은 알 수 없을지 몰라도 사람들이 무시하는 피조물과 창조물은 모두가 다 알고 있다고 사도 바울이 증거하고 있는 것이다. 호흡하는 모든 동물들, 새들, 물고기들과 나무들이나 흙이나 생물이 아닌 모든 피조물들은 천년왕국에서 우리가 받을 영광을 이미 알고 있다는 것이다. 그러므로 이 영광이 나타날 것을 알고 있기에 그들은 간절한 기대를 가지고 하나님의 아들들이 나타나기를 기다리고 있다고 사도 바울이 증거하고 있는 것이다(롬 8:19-22).

       이로 인하여 그들이 비록 인간의 죄 때문에 저주 받은 땅 위에서 허무한 삶을 살면서 죽어 썩어지고 있지만, 앞으로 이 땅이 회복되어 하나님의 자녀들과 함께 만왕의 왕이시며 만주의  주 예수 그리스도께서 다시 나타나실 때 이 땅이 다시 회복될 때 그들 역시 허무함과 썩어짐으로부터 해방되어 하나님의 자녀의 영광스러운 자유에 이를 것을 알고 있는 것이다. 마치 성령으로 거듭난 하나님의 자녀들이썩을 몸을 벗어버리고 죽지 않고 썩지 않는 새 몸을 입을 날(고전 15:51-53)인 휴거의 날을 기다리면서 속으로 신음하면서도 모든 고난을 이겨내며 양자되는 날을 기다리는 것처럼 말이다.

        사망이 왕노릇하고 있는 이 지구가 새롭게 되는 날에 대하여 예수께서 제자들에게 말씀하셨다: "진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 나를 따르는 너희들은 인자가 자기 영광의 보좌에 앉을 새 세대(Regeneration)에, 너희도 열두 보좌에 앉아 이스라엘 열두 지파를 심판하리라….진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니 나와 복음을 위하여 집이나, 형제나, 자매나, 아버지나, 어머니나, 아내나, 자식이나, 토지를 버린 사람은 현세에서는 집이나, 형제나, 자매나, 어머니나, 자식이나, 토지를 일백 배로 받되 박해와 더불어 받겠으며, 또 오는 세상(the world to come) 에서 영생을 얻으리라. 그러나 먼저 된 많은 사람이 나중 되고 나중 된 사람들이 먼저 되리라."(마 19:28, 막 10:29-31))

        주님께서는 이 지구도 다시 태어날 것에 대하여 말씀하실 때에 새롭게 되는 새 세대를 거듭남을 뜻하는 중생(Regeneration)이란 단어를 사용하신 것이다. 다시 말해서 이 지구에 저주를 가져온 인간들의 죄들을 먼저 제거하신 후에 그 죄로 인하여 저주받은 지구도 새롭게 하실 것을 미리 말씀하신 것이다. 이 사실을 미리부터 알고 있던 모든 피조물들과 창조물들은 지난 육천 년 동안 고통 가운데 인간들 때문에 지금도 신음하며 살고 있는 것이다. 그들은 하나님께 죄를 지은 적도 없는데 인간들처럼 함부로 자신들의 위치를 이탈하지 않고 굳굳하게 자리를 지키면서 주님께서 재림하셔서 그들 역시 하나님의 자녀들이 받을 영광스러운 자유를 누리기를 기다리고 있는 것이다. 죄 없이 고난 당하면서도 하나님을 원망하지도 않으며 죄인들을 바라보면서 회개하고 구원 받아 앞으로 나타나게 될 하나님의 영원한 상속자들이 되는 축복을 바라보라고 외치는 저들의 소리가 들리지 않는가?

       이 시대에 적그리스도가 세울 왕국인 New World Order에 대하여 전하는 사람들은 많이 있으나 오히려 그리스도의 왕국을 전하는 사람이 없는 것을 볼 때, 때를 분별한다는 사람들까지도 앞으로 주 예수 그리스도의 재림과 더불어 이 땅에 나타날 그리스도의 천년왕국에 대하여는 무지하면서, 정작 7년도 채 못되는 적그리스도의 왕국에 대하여만 외치면서 거듭나지 못한 기독교인들에게 두려움과 위화감만 주는 것을 볼 때, 이 또한 마귀의 술수에 넘어간 것이 아니겠는가?. 주 예수 그리스도께서 오실 때 받을 면류관에 대한 소망은 없고 적그리스도가 받게할 짐승의 표에 대하여만 외치는 것을 보면 얼마나 영적으로 미혹당하고 있는지 안타까운 일이 아닐 수 없는 것이다. 얼마나 우습게 마귀에게 미혹당하고 있는 것인가? 그들의 눈이 열려져서 적그리스도의 왕국을 멸하고 이 땅에 세워질 그리스도의 왕국을 볼 수 있도록 기도하는 것이 어떻겠는가? 아벤! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 24:1-10

Main scripture: Titus 3:2-9

Subject: Blessing of the children of God born of the Spirit to be the eternal heir of God

       Apostle Paul is writing unto Titus, his spiritual son of the eternal inheritance given in the hope of eternal life. He testifies of the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward men born in the evil world; and not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost which gives us grace(Eph. 2:8,9).

He also testifies, the grace through manifestation of the mercy of God is "The washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost." Not only he renewed us, but also he shed the Spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour.; that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

       When Lord Jesus manifested in flesh, he spoke unto Nicodemus, not born of the Spirit yet: "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God….. Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."(John 3:3,5)

In the main passage, Apostle Paul testifies unto Titus of being born again as "the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost." In other word, man that born of mother in flesh is supposed to be born of the Spirit again through hearing the gospel of Christ, and believing on Jesus Christ to be a new creature (2Cor. 5:17) through the remission of sins. Then he is able to enter into the kingdom of God coming out of the evil world.

       In the English King James Version, the second birth is described as "Regeneration" instead of "Born again" to manifest that second birth means totally new birth. Of this truth, Apostle Paul wrote unto the church of Corinthians: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."(2Cor. 5:17)

         Have you ever imagine how much beautiful and perfect would be in Mount Eden before Adam and Eve sinned? There must be  no sin, no death, no aging, no corruption, no curse at all. Man as well as all the creature and creation must have been living in the blessing of God. More we meditate of the kingdom of God as a kingdom of heaven in the earth in the Spirit, more we shall be filled with the hope of the eternal inheritance in the kingdom of God.

         But, unfortunately, the first man sinned, and suddenly, all the beauty in the earth disappeared  falling into curse and death and corruption as God spoke unto Adam: "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."(Gen. 3:15-19)

       But, God made a plan right away to destroy the devil that brought forth sin to the earth to curse the whole earth where men live (Heb. 2:18, 1John 3:8). At the same time, God planned to save all men that became the slaves of the devil in Christ (Eph. 1:4,5). God wanted to destroy  his enemy, the devil casting out of the heaven, and also from the earth eternally to restore his kingdom in heaven and earth where no sin and death at all but righteousness. Then God wanted to restore the Eden in this earth again. Therefore, to take away the sin that  brought forth death, God himself received the sin of the world on him drank the cup of wrath, and shed all his blood and waters crucified on the cross to give men eternal redemption of sins (Heb. 10:11-18). He is willing to renew through the Holy Ghost and to give eternal inheritance to whomever believe on him, Jesus Christ.

      Apostle Paul preach this truth unto the saints in Rome:

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."(Rom. 8:14-18)

         Now, then, What is the glory waiting before us? This the glory that shall appear in the kingdom of God in the earth that is the Millennium of Christ Jesus. Of this glory, even though natural men as well as nominal Christians, actually they are same each other though, may not understand, all creation and creature that are ignored by men already know of this glory as testified by Apostle Paul. All the animals that breathe by nose as well as fowls, fishes, and even trees and earth that are not creature understand what is the glory for us in the Millennium of Jesus Christ. Because they know our glory, they are expecting earnestly and waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God as testified by Apostle Paul. (Rom. 8:19-22)

       Even though they are made subject to vanity because of sins of man, not willingly, being corrupted and dying, but they already know that they shall be delivered from the bondage of vanity and corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God; as the children of God born of the Spirit are waiting the day of Christ (Rapture) when they shall put on immortality and incorruption putting off mortal and corruption of body (1Cor. 15:51-53) waiting for the day of adoption in the midst of groaning to overcome all the suffering.

       Jesus testified of the day of regeneration of the earth that had been ruled by death: "That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel….. Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last first."(Matt. 19, Mark 10:29-31)

         Jesus used the word, "Regeneration" when he talked about restoration of the earth that is the new age. In other word, after he takes away the sin of the world, he was going to renew the earth under curse because of sin. Knowing all the plan of God, all the creation and creature have been groaning even now because of men for six thousand years. Even though they have never sinned against God, they are still keep their position until Jesus Christ come back to the earth waiting for the liberty  of glory of the children of God. They have never murmured at all even in the midst of suffering without sin at all  Are you hearing the crying out unto sinners saying, "Repent, and be saved  and expect  for the blessing of  eternal heirs?"

      There are many that preach the New World Order that is the kingdom of Anti Christ, but scarcely we hear of the kingdom of Christ. They are ignorant of the Millennium of Christ Jesus that shall come to pass in the earth when Jesus Christ come to the earth; but they are working so hard to preach the kingdom of Anti Christ that shall be less than 7 years to give fear and uneasiness unto nominal Christians. They must have been deceived by the devil, aren't they? Without giving the hope of crown to receive when Jesus Christ appears in the air, they are only crying for the Mark of Beast to receive from the Anti Christ. What a funny seduction of the devil it is! So it is. Let us pray for them to open their eyes so that they may see the kingdom of Christ to come in the earth!  Amen!
