금주의 묵상: 시편 33:1-22

본문: 히브리서 11:1-3

제목: 무엇을 바라는 믿음으로 사는가?

       사람은 태어나면서부터 무엇인가 바라는 것에 대해 생각하면서 그 바라는 것을 얻고자 한다. 그런데 그 바라는 것은 사람마다 다르다. 육신의 나이에 따라 다르고 정신연령에 따라 다르다. 어떤 사람은 평생 동안 육신의 생각만을 추구하면서 모든 바람이 육신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 생의 자랑 안에서 바라다가 헛된 믿음 안에서 바라는 것들을 다 이루지 못하고 생을 마감한다. 그러나 어떤 사람은 영이 바라는 것들을 바라면서 믿음 가운데 살다가 영원한 것들을 믿음으로써 산 소망을 가지고 이 땅에서 영원한 유업을 준비한다. 바로 이 사람은 하나님의 약속의 말씀을 바라보면서 믿음 안에서 생을 헛되지 않게 마감하는 축복된 사람인 것이다.  옛날, 하나님께서 온전하고 정직한 사람이며 하나님을 두려워하는 자라고 인정하신 욥은 "오 내가 구하는 것을 갖는다면 내가 바라는 것을 하나님께서 내게 허락하신다면"(욥 6:8)이라고 고백했다.

     또한 하나님의 사람인 다윗 왕은 "담대하라. 주를 바라는 너희 모든 자들아, 그가 너희 마음에 힘을 주시리라….보라, 주의 눈이 그를 두려워하는 자들 위에 있으며 그의 자비를 바라는 자들 위에 있어 그들의 혼을 사망에서 구해 내시며 기근 속에서도 그를 살게 하시는도다….주께서는 자기를 두려워하는 자들과 그의 자비를 바라는 자들에게서 기쁨을 취하시는도다."(시 31:24; 33:18,19; 시 147:11)라고 증거했다.

       솔로몬 왕도 "악인에게는 그 두려워하는 것이 이를 것이나, 의로운 자에게는 그 바라는 것이 이루어지리라 …하나님께서 어떤 사람에게 재산과 부요와 존귀를 주셔서 그가 바라는 모든 것에 그의 혼을 위해 아무 것도 부족함이 없게 하셨도다. 그러나 하나님께서 그에게 향유할 능력을 주지 않으시므로 타인이 그것을 향유하니, 이것도 헛되고 악한 병이니라." (잠 10:24, 전 6:2)고 그의 생을 마감하면서 증거했다.

       한 카나안 여인이 예수께 소리지르며 "오 다윗의 아들이신 주여, 나에게 자비를 베푸소서 내 딸이 마귀에게 심히 고통을 받나이다." 라고 말했을 때, 예수께서 "자녀들의 빵을 가져다가 개들에게 던져주는 것이 옳지 않도다." 라고 말씀하셨다. "그러하옵니다, 주여, 그러나 개들도 그들 주인의 식탁에서 떨어지는 것을 먹나이다."라고 다시 한 번 외칠 때에, 예수께서는 그 여인에게 "오 여인아, 네 믿음이 크도다. 네가 바라는 대로 될지어다." 라고 말씀 하시자 그 여인의 딸이 그 시각으로 나았다(마 15:22, 26,27,28).  이 여인은 주님께서 해 주시지 않으면 어떤 것도 바랄 수 없음을 알고 그분께 바라며 믿었을 때 그 당시에는 어떤 이방 사람에게도 은혜가 허락되자 않았던 때임에도 불구하고 그가 바라는 믿음대로 실상이 된 것이다.

       주님께서는 제자들에게 기도에 대하여 말씀하시면서 "너희가 기도할 때에 바라는 것들은 무엇이나 받은 것으로 믿으라. 그리하면 너희 것이 되리라."(막 11:24)고 말씀하셨으며, "사람들이 너희에게 해주기를 바라는 대로 너희도 그들에게 그와 같이 해주라."(눅 6:31)고 말씀하셨다.

    사도 바울은 고린도교회 성도들에게 그가 그들에게 바라는 것에 대하여 "이제 너희는 배부르고, 부유해졌으며 우리 없이도 왕들처럼 통치하였으니 내가 하나님께 바라는 것은 너희가 통치하게 되는 것이라. 우리 또한 너희와 더불어 통치하리로다. …만일 그리스도 안에서 우리가 바라는 것이 오직 이생뿐이라면 우리는 모든 사람 가운데서 가장 비참한 사람이라…..이 때문에 우리가 애쓰는 것은 거하든지 떠나 있든지 그분을 기쁘시게 해 드리기를 바라는 것이라."(고전 4:8; 15:19, 고후 5:9)라고 증거했다.

또한 사도 바울은 예수 그리스도의 오심을 기다리며 바라보는 성도들에게 "그리스도께서 많은 사람의 죄들을 담당하시려고 한 번 드려지셨고, 두 번째는 자기를 바라는 자들을 구원에 이르게 하시려고 죄 없이 나타나시리라."(히 9:28)고 증거했다.

     사도 바울은 본문 말씀에서 "믿음은 바라는 것들에 대한 실상이요 보이지 않는 것들에 대한 증거"(히 11:1)라고 증거하고 있다. 또한 믿음을 통하여 세상들이 하나님의 말씀으로 지어진 것을 깨닫게 되며 보이는 것들은 나타난 것들로 된 것이 아니라고 증거하고 있다. 어떤 바보가 자기 집을 지은 사람이 없다고 믿겠는가? 그런데도 이 세상에 살면서 자신이 지혜롭다고 여기며 또한 그렇게 여겨지기를 바라는 사람들이 실상은 어리석게도 이 세상들을 지으신 분이 없다고 여기며 살면서도 스스로 지혜로운채 하며 사는 것을 본다. 성경은 말씀하신다. 세상들이 하나님의 말씀으로 된 것을 깨닫기 위해서는 제일 먼저 그 하나님을 믿어야 하는 것이다. 그러나 세상에서 자신이 지혜롭게 여기며 사는 어리석은 사람들은 보아야 믿겠다고 주장하면서 닭이 먼저냐? 병아리가 먼저냐? 떠들면서 살다가 죽은 후에  "성경 말씀이 진리였구나!" 라 외치면서 영원한 불못으로 떨어지게 될 것이다.

      우리는 히브리서 11장 말씀을 통하여 하나님을 믿음으로 바라는 것들이 실상이 된 많은 믿음의 사람들의 증거를 본다. 그 가운데서 우리는 에녹의 믿음을 보면서 에녹이 믿었던 것이 자신이 죽음을 보지 않고 옮겨질 것을 믿었을 때 그 믿음을 통하여 그는 죽지 않고 산 채로 하늘로 옮겨졌던 것이다. 또한 그는 옮기우기 전에 하나님을 기쁘시게 하였다는 증거를 지녔다고 성경은 말씀하신다(히 11:5).

     하나님의 사람 모세도 에녹에 대하여 증거했다: "에녹은 육십오 년을 살고 므두셀라를 낳은 후 삼백 년을 하나님과 동행하며 아들들과 딸들을 낳았으며, 에녹의 모든 날들이 삼백육심오 년이었으며, 에녹은 하나님과 동행하다가 없어졌더라. 이는 하나님께서 그를 데려가셨음이라."(창 5:21-24) 에녹은 자신이 지은 아들의 이름 므두셀라 속에서도 그의 믿음을 볼 수 있다. 히브리어 므두셀라는 굉장한 의미를 갖고 있는 이름이다. "그가 죽으면 그것이 보내질 것이다." 여기서 우리는 그것이 바로 대홍수 심판인 것을 영적인 직관으로 금방 알 수 있다. 다시 말해서 그는 대홍수, 즉 하나님의 심판이 오기 전에 자신이 하늘로 옮겨질 것을 믿었다는 것이다. 그리고 그의 믿음대로 홍수 전에 하늘로 휴거된 것이다.

       조만간 이 땅에는 대 환란이 닥쳐올 것이다.  그리고 오늘날 거듭난 성도들인 하나님의 교회는 환란 전에 휴거될 것이다. 우리도 에녹처럼 같은 믿음을 가지고 성령의 인도함을 받으며 살 때에 이녹처럼 믿음대로 이루어질 것이다. 그러므로 오늘날 우리들에게 필요한 믿음, 즉 우리가 바라보아야 하는 것은 바로 산 채로 하늘로 옮겨지는 것이며 이 믿음이 조만간 현실로 다가올 것이다.

       하나님께서는 에녹과 동행하시면서 그를 당대에 선지자로 사용하시고 그로 하여금 앞으로 그리스도의 지상재림의 때에 있을 일에 대하여 예언하게 하셨다. 유다는 이에 대하여 증거했다: "아담의 칠 대 손 에녹도 이들(배교한 거짓 교사들)에 대하여 예언하여 말하기를 '보라, 주께서 수만 성도들과 함께 오시나니 이는 모든 사람을 심판하시고 그들 가운데 있는 경건치 않은 모든 자가 경건치 않게 행한 모든 경건치 않은 행위와 경건치 아니한 죄인들이 주를 거슬러 말한 모든 거친 말에 대하여 정죄하시려는 것이라."(유 1:14,15)

      그렇다! 우리가 또 한 가지 바라보아야 하는 것은 주 예수 그리스도께서 이 세상을 심판하시고 그분의 천년왕국을 세우시려고 오실 때에 그분과 함께 내려오는 것을 바라보아야 하는 것이다. 그분과 함께 내려 오는 사람들이야말로 천년 동안 왕들과 제사장들로서 그분과 함께 이 땅을 천년 동안 통치하게 될 것이기 때문이다. 사도 요한은 성령 안에서 하늘로 들려올라가서 본 것을 증거할 때에 네 짐승과 스물 네 장로가 각자 하프와 향으로 가득한 금호리병들을 가지고 새노래를 부르며 말하기를 "주께서 그 책을 취하시며 그 봉인을 열기에 합당하시나이다. 이는 죽임을 당하셨던 주께서 하나님께로 각 족속과 언어와 백성과 민족 가운데서 우리를 주의 피로 구속하여 우리 하나님 앞에 우리를 왕들과 제사장들로 삼으셨음이니, 우리가 땅(the earth) 위에서 통치하리이다."(계 5:8-10)라고 증거했다.

       이 마지막 때에 에녹같은 믿음을 가지고 바라보면서 사는 사람은 에녹처럼 주님과 동행하는 삶을 살아야 하는 것이다. 사도 바울은 하나님의 자녀들은 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 자들이라고 증거했다(롬 8:11). 또한 하나님의 자녀들은 하나님의 상속자들이며, 그리스도와 함께 한 공동 상속자들이며 이런 사람들은 그리스도와 함께 고난을 받은 후에 영광도 함께 받을 것이라고 증거했다(롬 8:17). 영광이 무엇인가? 영광은 항상 주님께서 영광 중에 오실 때 왕의 권세, 즉 다스리는 권세를 받는 보상을 말씀하는 것이다.

       그렇다면 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 삶은 어떤 삶인가? 주님께서 세상에 계실 때 친히 말씀하셨다: "그러나 진리의 영이신 그분이 오시면 너희를 모든 진리로 인도하시리라. 그분은 스스로 말씀하지 아니하시며, 무엇이나 들은 것을 말씀하실 것이요, 또 너희에게 다가올 일들을 알려주시리라."(요 16:13) 그렇다! 진리의 영으로 인도함을 받는 사람은 모든 진리를 깨닫고 앞으로 다가올 일들을 미리 알고 준비하면서 진리의 말씀 안에서 성령의 음성을 들고 말씀에 순종하는 삶을 살게 되는 것이다. 또한 성령 안에서 그리스도를 증거하는 삶을 살면서 주님과 동행하다가 그 날을 맞이하게 되는 것이다(요 15:26). 우리의 소망은 그 날이 올 때 이 땅에서 복음을 전하여 므나를 남긴 만큼 열 고을 그리고 다섯 고을을 다스리는 영광에 참여하게 될 것이다(눅 19:11-27) 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 33:1-22

Main scripture: Hebrews 11:1-3

Subject: What are you hoping for?

       Everyone tends to hope for something to have from the birth. And the hope is different from each man; different from physical and mental age. Someone pursues the thoughts of flesh such as the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of the life to be ended up with nothing in vanity through sudden death. And someone else is hoping for the things spiritually to live in faith of the eternity; and prepare eternal inheritance in the living hope. This is the blessed one that hopes for the word of promise of God to leave this world in faith.

       Long time ago, God recognized Job as perfect and honest and fearing God; and he confessed: "Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant me the thing that I long for!"9Job 6:8)

     And king David, a man of God testified: "Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord….. Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine….. The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy"(Ps 31:24;33:18,19; 147:11)

       King Solomon also testified at the end of his life testified:

"The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted….. A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease."(Prov. 10:24, Eccl. 6:2)

       A woman of Canaan cried unto Jesus saying: "O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil."

And Jesus spoke unto her: "It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs." She continued to say to Jesus: "Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table."

Jesus spoke unto her again: "O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt." And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.(Matt. 15:22,26,27,28)

The woman knew no one can help her but Jesus; and she only hoped for Jesus and believed on him. her faith became substance even though the grace of the Lord was not allowed unto any Gentile at that time.

       Jesus spoke unto his disciples of prayer: "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."(mark 11:24) He also asked them to others as they receive the answer of prayer: "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise."(Luke 6:31)

       Apostle Paul testified of what he hoped for unto the saints of Corinthians: "Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you…. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable… Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him."(1Cor. 4:8; 15:19, 2Cor. 5:9) He also testified unto the saint that are waiting for the Lord Jesus: "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."(Heb. 9:28)

       In the main passage, Apostle Paul testified: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."(Heb. 11:1) He continued to testify, through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Is there anyone that not believes in the builder of his house? But unfortunately there are so many fools that think themselves as wise ones and want to be considered as wise by others not believing in the one that framed the worlds by the word of God. The word of God speaks: to understand the worlds were framed by the word of God, they have to believe in God first. But the foolish ones always insist that they have to see to believe saying, which one is the first, chicken or egg? They shall cast into the lake of fire crying out, "the word of God is truth!"

      In the eleven chapter of Hebrews we see the testimonies of many men of faith that received as substance what they hoped for. Of them, we see the faith of Enoch; he believed in the translation to heaven without death; and he was translated to haven without death through his faith. Before his translation he had this testimony that he pleased God (Heb. 11:5).

        Moses, a man of God also  testified of Enoch:

"And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:

And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him."(Gen. 5:21-24)

We can find his faith in the name of his son, Methuselah. The name of Methuselah has a great meaning in Hebrew, "It shall be sent, after he dies." We can understand what is it through our spiritual sense; it must be the Judgment of Great Flood. In other word, he believed that he shall be translated before the Great Flood comes to the earth.

       Sooner or later, the Great Tribulation shall come to the earth. And the born again church of God shall be translated (Raptured) before the Great Tribulation. Our faith shall be substance as Enoch when we are led by the Spirit of God with the same faith as Enoch. Therefore, the faith that is necessary for us is to be translated without death; this faith shall be substance in near future.

        God walked with Enoch, and used him as a prophet at that time, and let him prophesy for His Second Coming. Jude testified of his prophesy:

"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him."(Jude 1:14,15)

       Yea! Another thing that we have to hope for is that we shall come with the Lord Jesus Christ to judge the world and establish his kingdom in the earth. Only they that come with Jesus Christ shall reign with him for thousand years as the priest and kings. Apostle John was lifted up to heaven in the Spirit, and testified what he saw:

"Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth."(Rev. 5:8-10)

        In these last days, they that hope for the faith as Enoch are supposed to walk with God. Apostle Paul testified of the children of God as  ones that are led by the Spirit of God (Rom. 8:11). And they are the heir of God as well as joint-heir with Christ; and they shall suffer to be glorified with Christ. What is the glory? The glory always has something to do with the power of reigning power as king as the reward when the Lord Jesus Christ come in his glory. 

       Then, what is the life that is led by the Spirit of God? Jesus spoke of this when he was in the earth saying, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."(John 16:13) yea! They that are led by the Spirit of the truth understand all the truth, and know what to come, and prepare for the thins to come to obey the word of God in the Spirit. And they testify of Christ in the Spirit walking with the Lord until see the day of Christ (John 15:26). When the day comes, they shall rule ten cities or five cities as many pounds they gain to participate in the glory of Christ (Luke 19:11-27). Amen ! Hallelujah!
