금주의 묵상: 시편100:1-5

본문: 요한계시록 5:1-10

제목: 우리가 땅(the earth) 위에서 통치하게 되리이다!

       성령 안에서 하늘로 들려올라간 사도 요한은 하나님의 보좌를 보았으며, 마침내 다윗의 뿌리이신 어린양 예수 그리스도께서 안팍으로 기록되어 일곱 인으로 봉인된 책을 취하시는 광경을 보았다. 그때에 네 짐승들과 이십사 장로들이 그 어린양 앞에 엎드리며 새 노래를 부르는 광경을 보았다.  “일찍 죽임당하셨던 주 (예수 그리스도)께서 각 족속과 언어와 백성과 민족 가운데서 우리를 주의 피로 구속하여 우리 하나님 앞에 우리를 왕들과 제사장들로 삼으셨으니, 우리가 땅 위에서 통치하리이다.”(계 5:9,10)라는 새 노래였다.

         그들이 부르는 새 노래 가운데 있는 “우리“가 누구인가?  예수 그리스도의 피의 구속을 믿어서 하나님의 자녀가 된 그리스도인들인임을 분명하게 말씀하고 있는 것이다. “우리“에 대하여 사도 바울은 에베소 교회 성도들에게 증거했다: “하나님께서 세상의 기초를 놓으시기 이전에 우리로 사랑 안에서 그분 앞에 거룩하고 흠 없게 하시려고 그리스도 안에서 우리를 택하시어 하나님의 기쁘신 뜻에 따라 예수 그리스도를 통하여 우리를 자신의 자녀로 입양할 것을 예정하셨으니 이는 하나님께서 그 사랑하시는 이 안에서 우리를 받아들이시어 그 은혜의 영광을 찬양케 하려 하심이니라. 그 사랑하시는 자 안에서 우리가 그의 은혜의 풍성함을 따라 그의 보혈을 통하여 구속 곧 죄들의 용서함을 받았느니라.”(엡 1:4-7)

        사도 바울은 사도 요한이 증거한 “우리“가 누구인지에 대하여 아주 정확하게 증거하고 있는 것이다. 다시 말해서 누구든지 그리스도 예수께서 성경대로 우리 죄들을 위하여 죽으시고, 장사되셨다가 성경대로 셋째 날에 살아나신 것을 믿을 때 어린양 그리스도 예수의 피로 모든 죄가 구속함을 받아 하나님의 자녀가 되며, 또한 자녀된 우리는 앞으로 주 예수 그리스도께서 이 땅에 오셔서 천년왕국을 세우실 때에 왕들과 제사장들로 세우시기 위하여 예정하신 사람들이라는 것을 증거하고 있는 것이다.

       사도 바울은 로마에 있는 성도들에게 편지할 때 “성령이 친히 우리의 영과 함께 우리가 하나님의 자녀임을 증거하시거니와 자녀이면 상속자들이니 하나님의 상속자들이요, 그리스도와 함께한 공동 상속자들이니 우리가 그와 함께 고난을 받은 것은 함께 영광도 받게 하려 함이니라. 이는 현재의 고난들이 우리에게 나타나게 될 영광에 감히 비교되지 못한다고 내가 여기기 때문이라.”(롬 8:16-18)

그는 목회자 디모데에게 편지할 때에도 “우리가 참으면 우리도 그와 함께 다스릴 것이요 우리가 그를 부인하면 그도 우리를 부인할 것이라.”(딤후 2:12)고 증거했다.

        사도 베드로도 그리스도의 피로 구속받은 그리스도인들에게 “그러나 너희는 선택받은 세대요 왕 같은 제사장이며, 거룩한 민족이요, 독특한 백성이니, 이는 너희를 어두움에서 불러내어 그의 놀라운 빛으로 들어가게 하신 분의 덕을 선포하게 하려는 것이라.”(벧전 2:9)고 증거했다.

        일찍이 주님께서도 자신을 왕권을 받아오려고 먼 길을 떠나는 귀인으로 비유하시면서 종들에게 한 므나(pound)씩 주시면서 자신이 올 때까지 장사하라(occupy)고 말씀하셨다. 자신이 그 왕국을 받아서 돌아와 각자에게 한 므나로 장사하여(occupy) 얼마나 벌었는지 계산할 때에 열 므나 남긴 종은 열 고을(city) 다스리는 권세를, 다섯 므나(pound)를 남긴 종은 다섯 고을(city)을 다스리는 권세를 주시고, 한 므나(pound)를 손수건에 싸 두었다가 다시 드린 종에게는 악한 종이라는 책망을 하신다고 말씀하셨다. 또한  자신이 왕이 되어 통치하는 것을 원치 아나하는 원수들을 끌어내어 죽일 것이라고 말씀하셨다(눅 19:12-27).

        누구든지 예수 그리스도를 믿어 성령으로 거듭난 사람은 그분께서 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주로 오실 때까지 맡겨주신 한 므나(한 pound밖에 안되는 성경책)로 장사하여, 다시 말해서 복음을 전해서 천하보다 귀한 혼들을 이겨서 하늘로 올려보내야 하는 것이다. 구원받은 하나님의 자녀들은 지금은 왕자같은 신분이지만 이 땅에서 일한 만큼 주님과 더불어 통치하는 권세를 받아 이 지구상에서 왕들과 제사장들로서의 축복을 누리게 되는 것이다.

       욥에게 하나님의 말씀을 전했던 엘리후도 성령 안에서 예언했다: “그분은 의인들로부터 그의 눈을 돌이키지 아니하시나 그들로 왕들과 함께 보좌에 있게 하시며, 정녕 그분은 그들을 영원히 세우시니 그들이 높임을 받는도다.”(욥 36:7)

        다윗 왕도 이 사실을 성령 안에서 깨닫고 예언하였다: “행악자는 끊어질 것이나 주를 기다리는 자들은 땅(the earth)을 유업으로 받으리라. 잠시 후면 악인(적그리스도)이 없어지리니 정녕, 네가 그가 있던 곳을 열심히 찾을지라도 그것이 없을 것이라. 그러나 온유한 자들은 땅(the earth)을 유업으로 받을 것이요, 화평의 풍요함으로 기뻐하리로다.”(시 37:9-11)

        주님께서 자기 앞에 나아오는 유대인들에게 “온유한 자들은 복이 있나니, 그들이 땅(the earth)을 유업으로 받을 것임이요“(마 5:5)라고 친히 말씀하셨다.

      하나님께서도 일찍이 다윗 왕의 입을 통하여 그분의 독생자 예수 그리스도에 대하여 “‘내가 나의 거룩한 산 시온 위에 내 왕을 세웠도다.’ 하시리라. 내가 칙령을 선포하리라. 주께서 내게 말씀하시기를 ‘너는 내 아들이라. 오늘(이천 년 전 오늘이라는 날) 내가 너를 낳았노라. 내게 구하라. 그러면  내가 너에게 이방을 네 유업으로, 땅의 맨끝을  네 소유로 주리라.‘”(시 2:6-8)

그리스도인들은 그리스도의 신부이기에 이방을 그분과 함께 공동으로 상속받은 자들인 것이다(롬 8:17).

        그러나, 하나님의 자녀일지라도 하나님의 왕국에서 유업이 없는 자들에 대하여 경고의 말씀을 주신다: “너희가 알거니와 음행하는 자나 더러운 자나 욕심 많은 자, 곧 우상 숭배자는 누구든지 하나님과 그리스도의 왕국에서 상속받을 것이 없느니라….이제 육신의 일들은 분명히 나타나나니 곧 간음과 음행과 더러운 것과 음욕과 우상 숭배와 마술과 원수 맺음과 다툼과 질투와 분노와 투쟁과 분열과 이단들과 시기와 살인과 술 취함과 흥청거림과 또 그와 같은 것들이라. 내가 전에 말한 바와 같이 미리 말하노니 그런 짓들을 하는 자들은 하나님의 나라를 상속받지 못할 것이라.”(엡 5:5, 갈 5:19-21)

         하나님의 자녀가 되어 앞으로 자신을 위하여 예비된 축복을 알지 못하면 헛된 삶을 살게 되며 앞으로 주님께서 통치하실 때 아무런 유업도 없이 영원히 부끄러움을 당하게 되는 것이다. 그러므로 사도 바울이 증거한 것처럼 하나님께서는 모든 사람이 구원을 받고 진리의 지식에 이르기를 원하시는 것이다. (딤전 2:4) 진리의 지식이 무엇인가? 하나님의 모든 말씀들 가운데 있는 지식을 말씀하시는 것이다. 세상 왕국에서도 왕자로 태어난 사람은 그때부터 스승을 통하여 왕도를 배워야 하듯이 성령으로 거듭나서 하나님의 자녀된 모든 사람은 스승 되신 성령님으로부터 모든 말씀을 배워 앞으로 예수 그리스도의 천년왕국에서 통치자로서의 지식과 인격과 모든 것을 구비해야 하는 것이다. 새해부터 시작하는 킹제임스 성경학교(King James Bible Institute)는 왕의 도를 가르치는 목적으로 세워지는 것이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: psalms 100:1-5

Main scripture: Revelation 5:1-10

Subject: We shall reign on the earth!

       Apostle John lifted into heaven in the Spirit of God saw the throne of God as well as the scene that the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ as the root of David took the book written within and on the back side, sealed with seven seals. Then, the four beasts and four and twenty elders sung a new song: “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”(Rev. 5:9,10)

        Who is “we” in the new song? They are surely “we” that believe in the redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ to be the children of God.  Apostle Paul testified of “we” unto the saints of Ephesians church: “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”(Eph. 1:4-7)

         Apostle Paul testifies of “we” very clearly  that was testified by Apostle John. In other word, he testifies, whosoever believes on Christ that died for our sins according to the scriptures, and buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures shall be the children of God through the redemption of all sins by the blood of Jesus Christ; and they are predestined to be the kings and priests in the Millennium of Jesus Christ when he come to the earth again.

        Apostle Paul testified unto the saints in Rome: “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”(Rom. 8:16-18)

When he wrote unto Timothy, a pastor, also testified again saying, “If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:”(2Tim. 2;12)

        Apostle Peter also testified unto the saints that are redeemed all sins through the blood of Jesus Christ: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”(1Pet. 2:9)

          Jesus once spoke a parable unto the disciples comparing him as a certain noble man going into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. The noble man gives one pound each unto his ten servants asking to occupy until he comes. When he comes back, he will give authority over ten cities unto the servant that gained ten pounds; and to another authority over five cities that gained five pounds; and no authority unto him that gives one pound back that was kept laid up in a napkin to the king. And the king rebuke him saying, “Thou wicked servant!” And, the king will slay them as his enemies that not wanted the king reign (Luke 19:12-27)

        Whosoever is born again of the Spirit through believing on Jesus Christ has to send the souls won through preaching the gospel using the bible as weighed as one pound to occupy until he come as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. The children of God are now as princes; in the future, they shall be blessed to be kings and priests as much as they work in the earth together with the Lord Jesus Christ.

       Elihu also prophesied in the Spirit unto Job saying, “He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.”(Job 36:7)

        King David also understood this truth, and  prophesied:

“For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.”(Ps. 37:9-11)

        Jesus also spoke unto the Jew who came to him: “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”(Matt. 5:5)

       The LORD God testified of his only begotten Son through king David: “Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.”(Ps. 2:6-8) Christians are the joint-heirs that shall receive the inheritance of the Gentiles as the bride of Christ.(Rom. 8:17)

        But there is a warning message unto the children of God that cannot have inheritance in the kingdom of God:

“For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.…… 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”(Eph. 5:5, Gal. 5:19-21)

       If the children of God not knew the blessing prepared for themselves, they are supposed to have life in vain; and they shall be ashamed forever without any inheritance at all. Therefore, Apostle Paul testified, God wants all men to be saved, and let them come unto the knowledge of God (1Tim 2:4). What is the knowledge of God? This is all the knowledge manifested in the words of God. As prince in the earthly kingdom has to learn the way to be king in the future from his royal teacher, all the children of God should learn all the words of God from the Holy Ghost, the heavenly royal teacher to be prepared with the knowledge and character and so on as the rulers in the Millennium of Jesus Christ. The King James Bible Institute commencing from next year shall be for teaching the way to be the king. Amen! Hallelujah!
