금주의 묵상: 시편 1:1-6

본문: 요한복음 7:37-39

제목: 그리스도인의 배로부터 흐르는 생수의 강

        주님께서는 자신의 재림의 예표가 되는 장막절에 은밀히 예루살렘에 올라가시고 그 명절의 마지막 큰 날에 무리 가운데서 외치시면서 말씀하셨습니다. “누구든지 목마르거든 내게로 와서 마시라. 나를 믿는 자는 성경이 말씀한 것과 같이, 그의 배에서 생수의 강이 흐르리라.”   주님께서는 앞으로 자신이 고난 받으시고 죽으셨다가 부활하신 후에 자신을 믿는 자들에게 성령을 통하여 영원한 생명을 주실 것을 미리 말씀하신 것입니다.

       사람이 태어날 때는 어느 누구도 배 안에 생수가 강처럼 흐르는 사람은 아무도 없습니다. 모든 아담의 자손들은 몸 안에 생수가 아닌 엄청난 피의 강물이 흐르고 있습니다. 첫 사람 아담이 창조되었을 때에는 그의  몸 안에는 피가 없었습니다. 하나님께서 아담을 깊이 잠재우시고, 다시 말해서 잠깐 죽이신 다음 그의 몸으로부터 갈비뼈 하나를 취하시어 여자를 만드셔서 아담에게 데려오셨습니다. 이때 그 여자를 본 아담은 “이는 이제 내 뼈들 중의 뼈요, 내 살 중의 살이니 그녀를 여자라 부르리라. 이는 그녀가 남자에게서 취해졌음이라.”(창 2:23) 고 말했습니다. 다시 말해서 내살과 뼈가 걸어오고 있다는 말했습니다. 다시 말해서 내 것이라는 말입니다.

        한국 사람들은 아내를 부를 때에 보통 “여보”라고 부릅니다. 그런데 “여보”의 뜻에 대하여 “여”(如)는 같다는 뜻이며, “보”(寶)는 보배라는 뜻이라고 해석하는 사람이 있습니다. 아주 귀하다는 말입니다. 아담이 말 가운데 피에 대하여는 전혀 언급이 없었습니다. 사실 뼈와 살보다 더 중요한 것은 피인데 그는 단지 뼈와 살에 대해서만 말했습니다. 이로 미루어 볼 때 아담이나 이브가 죄를 짓기 전까지는 그들의 몸 안에 피가 없었으며 단지 그들 속에 어떤 생명을 주는 물만 있었음을 알 수 있습니다. 그러나 죄가 그들 안에 들어갔을 때에 죄로 인해 죽음과 질병과 저주를 가져오는 붉은 피가 흐르게 된 것을 알 수 있습니다. 현재 생명공학은 모든 문제가 피로부터 오는 것을 알려주고 있습니다.

        본문에서 예수께서는 자신을 믿는 사람의 배로부터 생수의 강들이 흘러나올 것을 말씀하십니다. 다시 말해서 그분을 믿는 자들이 성령으로 다시 태어날 때 배 안에 생수의 강들이 흐르게 될 것을 말씀하신 것입니다. 이로 인하여 몸은 죽어도 성령 안에 있는 생수로 인하여 다시 살아나게 될 것을 말씀하신 것입니다. 사도 바울은 이에 대하여 “예수를 죽은 자들로부터 살리신 분의 영이 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도를 죽은 자들로부터 살리신 분이 너희 안에 거하시는 그분의 영으로 인하여 너희의 죽을 몸도 살리시리라.”(롬 8:11)고 증거했습니다.

        주님께서 사람으로 나타나시기 전에 생수같은 성령을 주실 것을 미리 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 말씀하셨습니다: “주가 이같이 말하노라. 사람을 신뢰하는 사람과 육신을 그의 무기로 삼는 사람과 그의 마음이 주로부터 떠난 사람은 저주를 받으리라. 그는 사막에 히스 나무같이 되어 좋은 일이 오는 때를 보지 못하고 광야와 소금 땅과 사람이 살지 않는 바싹 마른 곳들에 거하리라. 주를 신뢰하고 그의 소망을 주께 두는 사람은 복이 있도다. 그는 물가에 심겨진 나무가 강가에 그 뿌리를 뻗침과 같아서 더위가 와도 걱정하지 않고 그 잎이 푸르러 가뭄의 해에도 염려하지 않고 열매를 맺는 것도 그치지 아니할 것임이라.”(렘 17:5-8)

        하나님께서는 다윗왕을 통해서도 말씀하셨습니다:“복 있는 사람은 악인들의 간계를 따르지 아니하며 죄인들의 길에 서지 아나하며, 조롱하는 자들의 자리에 앉지 아니하는도다. 그의 즐거움이 주의 법에 있으니, 그가 주의 법을 주야로 묵상하는도다. 그는 강가에 심겨진 나무 같아서 계절을 따라 열매를 맺으며, 그의 잎사귀도 마르지 아니하리니, 그가 무엇을 하든지 번성하리로다.”(시 1:1-3)

       성경에 나타난 이 말씀들은 앞으로 예수 그리스도를 믿어 성령을 받을 사람들에 대한 예언의 말씀이며 주님께서는 이로 인하여 “성경이 말씀하는 것과 같이“라고 말씀하신 것입니다. 그러므로 주님께서 다시 오셔서 이 땅을 회복하시고 그분의 왕국을 세우실 때까지는 생수의 강들이 믿는 자 속에만 있는 것입니다. 사도 바울은 생수의 강들이 있는 흐르는 곳을 하나님의 왕국(나라)이라고 증거하면서 그 왕국은 성령 안에 있는 의와 화평과 기쁨이라고 증거했습니다 (롬 14:17).

        그러나 예수 그리스도의 왕국이 이 땅에 임하게 될 때에는 생수의 강들이 성전 문지방 아래로부터 흘러나오게  될 것이라고 선지자 에스겔이 예언했습니다: “이 강물이 흐르는 곳마다 살아 있고 움직이는 모든 것들이 살 것이라. 또 이물이 거기로 들어가므로 거기에는 매우 큰 고기떼가 있으리니 이는 그 물들이 치유될 것이요, 강이 흐르는 곳에는 모든 것이 살 것이라…. 그러나 거기 진흙 구덩이와 늪은 치유되지 못하고 소금이 주어지게 되리라. 둑 위에 강가로 이편과 저편에에는 양식이 될 모든 나무가 자라고 그 잎사귀들은 시들지 아니하며, 그 과실도 다하지 아니하고 달마다 새로운 과실을 내리니 이는 그 물이 성소에서 나옴이라, 또 과실은 양식이 되고 그 잎사귀는 약이 될 것이니라.”(겔 47:9,11,12)

         앞으로 천년왕국의 때에 성전 문지방 아래로부터 흘러나오는 물의 원천이 하늘에 있는 것을 본  사도 요한이 증거했습니다: “또 그가 나에게 하나님과 어린 양의 보좌에서 흘러 나오는 수정처럼 맑은  생명수의 정결한 강을 보여주더라. 그 도성의 거리 한가운데와 그 강의 양편에는 생명 나무가 있어 열두 가지의 과실을 맺으며 달마다 과실을 내더라. 그리고 그 나무의 잎사귀들은 민족들을 치유하기 위한 것이더라.”(계 22:1,2)

        주님께서 제자들에게 기도하라고 명하신 말씀처럼, 하나님과 그리스도의 왕국이 하늘에서처럼 이 땅에 이루어질 때 하늘 보좌로부터 흘러나오는 생명수가 이 땅에도 흐르게 됨으로써 사망이 없는 하나님의 왕국이 이루어지는 것을 우리는 미리 보고 있습니다. 그러나 지금은 비록 예수 그리스도를 믿어 성령을 받은 하나님의 자녀들 안에만 이 생수의 강들이 흐르고 있지만, 가까운 미래에 이 생수가 온 땅에 흘러내리는 하나님의 왕국을 보게 될 것입니다.

     그러므로 사도 바울은 목회자 디모데에게 “그러므로 내가 하나님과 주 예수 그리스도, 곧 그가 나타나실 때와 그의 왕국에서 산 자들과 죽은 자들을 심판하실 분 앞에서 네게 명하노니, 너는 말씀을 전파하라. 때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 항상 대비하라. 모든 오래참음과 교리로 견책하고 책망하며 권고하라.”(딤후 4:1,2)고 명령한 것입니다.

        성령께서는 지금도 사도 바울을 통하여 성령을 받아 생수의 강들이 배에서 흐르고 있는 모든 그리스도인들에게 말씀을 전파하라고 명령하시는 것입니다. 그리스도의 생명의 복음을 전함으로써 배 안에서 흐르는 생수의 강들이 흘러넘치게 하여 성령과 능력이 나타남으로써 많은 사람들에게 생수를 주어 살려야 하는 것입니다. 첫 사람 아담은 산 혼이었지만 마지막 아담이신 예수 그리스도는 살려주는 영이므로(고전 15:45) 믿는 자 속에 흐르는 생수의 강들은 바로 살려주는 영이기 때문입니다. 우리는 할 수 없지만 성령께서 생수처럼 흘러나와서 죽은 사람들을 능히 살릴 수 있는 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 1:1-6

Main scripture: John 7:37-39

Subject: The rivers of living water flowing out of the belly of Christian

        Jesus went up to Jerusalem secretly to go to the feast of tabernacles that is the shadow of his second coming. In the last day, that great day of the feast, he stood and cried, saying If any man thirst, let him come to me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scriptures hath said, out of the belly shall flow rivers of living water. He testified of the  eternal life through the Holy Ghost that shall be received by them that believe him after he suffers, and dies, and rises again.

        No the rivers of living water flows out of the belly for any one from the first birth that is biological. Instead, the rivers of blood are flowing within the body of the children of Adam. The first man, Adam didn’t have any blood in his body when he was created. God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam. In other word, he was dead for a while. And God took  one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. God made woman with the rib, and brought her unto the man. Upon seeing her, Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Men (Gen. 2:23) In other word, he said, my bone and my flesh is walking unto him; she is mine.

        Koreans call their wife “Yeo Bo” Someone said, “Yeo” means something like; “Bo” means precious. Therefore their wife are as precious ones. Adam not mentioned about blood. Actually, blood is more important than flesh and bone; but he only mentioned about flesh and bone. Considering his word, there was not any blood in the body of Adam before he sinned, but some kind of living water might be in his body. After he sinned, death and diseases and curses were followed; nowadays we know, all kinds of physical problems such as disease and death are caused by blood as found by biological scientists.

        In the main passage, Jesus said, the rivers of living water shall flow out of them that believe on him. In other word, when the believers are born again of the Spirit, the rivers of living water shall flow within them. Because of the living water, their body shall be buried when they die, but they shall rise again from the dead because of the living water in the Holy Ghost. Apostle Paul testified of this:

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”(Rom. 8;11)

       Before the LORD God became a man, he spoke through his prophet, Jeremiah of the living water in the Holy Ghost to be given unto them that trust him:

“Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.

For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”(Jer. 17:5-8)

        God also spoke through king David:

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”(Ps. 1:1-3)

        These words in the scriptures are the prophesy of them that shall receive the Holy Ghost when they believe on Jesus Christ. This is the reason why Jesus said, “as scripture has said”. Until Jesus Christ come to the earth to regenerate it, and build his kingdom, the rivers of living water only flows within the belly of the believers. Apostle Paul testified of the kingdom of God where the rivers of living water flow, righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost (Rom. 14:17)

       When the kingdom of Jesus Christ come upon the earth, living waters shall flow out from under the threshold of the house of the temple, prophesied by Ezekiel:

“And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh…..But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt. And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.”(EZ. 47:9, 11,12)

         Apostle John saw the original source of the living waters in heaven flowing out from the threshold of the temple in the Millennium of Jesus Christ:

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations”(Rev. 22:1,2)

          As Jesus asked his disciples to pray, when the kingdom of God and Christ shall be done in the earth as in heaven, the living waters in heaven shall flow in this earth. Now we foresee the kingdom of God without death anymore. Even though the rivers of living water are flowing within the children of God born again of the Spirit now, we shall see the kingdom of God in the earth where the living water flows in all the earth.

        Therefore, Apostle Paul urged Timothy saying, I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”(2Tim. 4:1,2)

        The Holy Ghost still urges us through Apostle Paul  to preach the word unto them that have the living water within them. We have to let the rivers of living water flow out of our belly to revive the dead  through the manifestation of the Spirit and power. The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit (1Cor. 15:45). The rivers of living water is the quickening spirit within the born again Christian. Nothing we can do, but the Holy Ghost shall flow out as the living water can give life unto the dead. Amen! Hallelujah!
