금주의 묵상: 시편 116:1-19

본문: 고린도후서 4:1-18

제목: 선지자적인 삶을 살고 있는가?

       사도 바울은 하나님의 자비하심을 따라 구원을 받아 영원한 생명을 받은 자라고 간증하고 있습니다. 또한 자비뿐만 아니라, 사도와 복음전도자와 교사로서의 직분까지 받았다고 증거하고 있습니다. 이로 인하여 그는 낙심하지 않는 삶을 살고 있다고 증거하고 있습니다. 그러므로 그는 자신 속에 감추어져있는 모든 수치스런 일을 벗어버리고 교활하게 행하지 않는다고 말하고 있습니다. 무엇보다도 그는  하나님의 말씀을 거짓되이 다루지 아니하며 오직 진리만을 나타내며 모든 사람들의 양심에 부끄러움이 없다고 증거하고 있습니다.

       그가 복음전도자로서 복음을 전할 때에 알게 된 것은 이 세상 신이 믿지 않는 자들의 마음을 어둡게 하여 하나님의 형상이신 그리스도의 영광스러운 복음의 광채가 비치지 못하게 한다고 증거하고 있습니다. 다시 말해서 앞으로 그리스도께서 영광 가운데 다시 오시는 것에 대한 예언의 말씀을 받아들이지 않는다는 것입니다.

       그렇습니다. 이 세상신 사단은 지난 육천 년 동안 자신의 사람들을 사용하여 하나님의 창조를 믿지 못하도록 진화론을 만들어 내었으며 자신의 신부 교회를 통하여 후천년주의라는 신학을 만들어 내어서 예수 그리스도의 재림을 믿지 못하도록 하였습니다. 뿐만 아니라 온갖 철학과 종교들과 교육 시스템을 통하여 사람들의 마음을 어둡게 하여 하늘과 땅을 통치하실 주 예수 그리스도의 영광스러운 광채를 보지 못하게 하였던 것입니다.

      오직 하나님의 자비하심과 은혜를 받는 거듭난 그리스도인들만이 마음 속에 빛을 받아 예수 그리스도의 얼굴에 있는 하나님의 영광을 본다고 증거하고 있습니다. 그가 증거한대로 영광스러운 그리스도의 광채가 한때 어두웠던 질그릇같은 육신 안에 비쳤을 때에 비로소 우리가 그분을 알게 되었던 것입니다.

        사도 바울은 앞으로 영광스럽게 임하셔서 그의 신부를 하늘 집으로 데려가시고 그분께서 이 땅에 성도들과 함께 나타나실 때 다가올 영광을 보았기에 그는 잠시 사는 세상에서 어떤 고난을 당하여도 괴로워하지 어니하며 어떤 당혹스러운 일을 당하여도 절망하지 아니하며 박해를 받아도 버림받지 아니하며 내던져져도 멸망하지 아니한다고 증거하고 있습니다. 이 증거는 모든 거듭난 그리스도인들의 증거이기도 한 것입니다. 또한 그는 박해 가운데서 마치 그리스도께서 죽으신 것처럼 그의 몸에 사망을 지니고 다니는 것은 동시에 그의 몸에 셋째 날에 죽은 자들로부터 부활하신 그리스도의 부활을 나타내기 위함이라고 고백하고 있는 것입니다.

         주 예수 그리스도께서 우리의 죄들로 인하여 죽으셨으나 마침내 성경대로 셋째 날에 살아나신 것처럼 그 역시 세상에서 온갖 박해를 받으며 죽은 자처럼 살았지만 부활하신 그리스도께서 그 안에 살아계심으로(갈 2:20) 인해 죽음에서 부활하는 삶을 통하여 다른 사람들에게 생명을 주는 축복된 삶을 산다고 증거하고 있는 것입니다.

       사도 바울은 그가 다른 그리스도인들과 같은 믿음의 영을 가졌다고 말하면서 “기록된 바 ‘내가 믿음으로 말하였노라.’ 한 것같이 그도 역시 믿음으로 말한다고 시편 기자의 말을 인용했습니다. 오래 전 시편 기자는 “오 내 혼이, 너의 안식으로 돌아가라. 이는 주께서 너를 후대하셨음이라. 주께서는 사망에서 내 혼을 , 눈물에서 내 눈을 , 넘어짐에서 내 발을 구해주셨나이다. 내가 산 자들의 땅에서 주 앞에 걸으리이다. 내가 믿었으므로 말하였으니 내가 크게 고난을 당하였도다. 내가 서둘러 말하기를 ‘모든 사람은 거짓말쟁이라.’하였도다. 나를 향한 주의 모든 베푸심을 내가 주께 무엇으로 보답할까? 내가 구원의 잔을 들고 주의 이름을 부르리라. 내가 이제 주의 면전에서 나의 서원을 주께 갚으리라. 주의 성도들의 죽음은 주께서 보시기에 값진 것이로다.”(시 116:7-15)라고 증거했던 것입니다.

      마침내 사도 바울은 고린도교회 성도들에게 자신이 가진 믿음에 대하여 증거합니다. 주 예수 그리스도를 죽은 자들로부터 살리신 그분, 하나님 아버지께서 예수를 통하여 우리를 살리실 것이며 그분께서 나타나실 때에 우리 모두를 영광스럽게 나타내 주실 것을 믿는다고 증거한 것입니다. 그는 골로새교회 성도들에게도 “우리의 생명이신 그리스도께서 나타나실 때 그때 너희도 그와 함께 영광가운데 나타날 것이라.”(골 3:4)고 증거하면서 이를 위하여 땅 위의 있는 지체를 죽이라고 권면했습니다. 사도 베드로도 고난 가운데 흩어져 있는 그리스도의 피뿌림을 받은 성도들에게 “너희 믿음의 시련이, 불로써 단련될지라도 없어져 버리는 금보다 훤씬 더 귀하게 되어 예수 그리스도께서 나타나실 때 칭찬과 존귀와 영광을 받게 하려 함이니라.”(벧전 1:7)고 격려했습니다.

        또한 사도 바울은 그리스도인들이 이 세상에서 받는 환난은 앞으로 받을 영광에 비하면 가벼운 것이라고 증거하고 있습니다. 앞으로 받을 영광에 대하여 그는 로마에 있는 성도들에게 “성령이 친히 우리의 영과 함께 우리가 하나님의 자녀임을 증거하시느니라. 자녀이면 또한 상속자들이니 하나님의 상속자들이요, 그리스도와 함께한 공동상속자들이니 우리가 그와 함께 고난을 받은 것은 함께 영광도 받게 하려 함이니라. 이는 현재의 고난들이 우리에게 나타나게 될 영광에 감히 비교되지 못한다고 내가 여기기 때문이라.”(롬 8:16-18)고 증거했습니다. 또한 앞으로 우리가 받을 영광에 대하여 그의 영적인 아들 디모데에게 감옥 안에서 격려했습니다: “나의 복음대로 다윗의 씨인 예수 그리스도께서 죽은 자들로부터 일으켜지셨음을 기억하라. 이 복음으로 인하여 내가 악을 행하는 자처럼 매여서까지 고난을 받고 있으나 하나님의 말씀은 매이지 아니하느니라. 그러므로 내가 택한 자들을 위하여 모든 것을 참음은 그들도 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 구원을 영원한 영광과 함께 얻게 하려 함이라. 이 말씀은 신실하도다. 우리가 그와 함께 죽었으면 그와 함께 살리라. 우리가 참으면 우리도 그와 함께 다스릴 것이요 우리가 그를 부인하면 그도 우리를 부인할 것이라.”(딤후 2:8-12)

       사도 바울은 자신이 그리스를 위하여 그의 몸을 죽음에까지 내어맡김에 대하여 그가 바라보는 것이 무엇인지에 대하여 분명하게 증거했습니다. 그는 잠깐 동안 보이다가 없어질 이 세상을 바라보지 않았습니다. 그가 바라본 것은 보이지 영원한 것이기 때문입니다. 그렇다면 그가 바라보던 영원한 것은 무엇이었습니까? 지금은 눈에 보이지 않지만 앞으로 분명히 나타나게 될 것들을 하나님의 말씀들을 통하여 미리 보았던 것입니다. 그는 그의 편지에서 “그리스도의 날”  즉 조만간 우리 앞에 나타날 휴거의 날에 대하여 여러번 증거했습니다(고전 1:8, 빌 1:6,10; 2;16. 살후 2:2). 뿐만 아니라 그는 그리스도의 날에 휴거된 그리스도인들이 서야할 그리스도의 심판석에 대하여, 그리고  그리스도의 날이 오기 전에 나타날 배교에 대하여, 또한 불법의 신비, 즉 앞으로 나타날 죄의 사람 즉 멸망의 아들인 적그리스도에 대하여도 분명하게 증거했습니다. 그리고 그리스도의 재림과 더불어 나타날 그리스도의 천년왕국에 대하여 히브리인들과 하나님의 교회들에게 증거했으며 천년왕국 끝에 모든 은밀한 일들을 심판하실 마지믹 백보좌 심판(롬 2:16)에 대하여도 증거했습니다.

         사도 바울은 이 세상에 사는 동안 선지자적인 삶을 살았던 것입니다. 그는 그리스도의 은혜의 복음을 전하면서 동시에 앞으로 하나님께서 이 세상을 심판하실 것에 대한 메세지를 하나님의 말씀대로 예언하는 삶을 살았던 것입니다. 그가 받았던 모든 박해는 옛날 이스라엘에서 예언하던 선지자들이 받았던 것과 같은 것이었습니다. 옛날 에레미야나 이사야나 에스겔이나 아모스같은 선지자들이 예언하지 못하도록 박해하고 죽였던 것처럼 심판의 메세지를 전했던 사도 바울도 동일한 박해를 받고 죽었던 것입니다. 옛 선지자들이 이스라엘 백성을 향하여 예언하였던 것은 그들이 우상을 버리고 회개하지 않으면 바벨론에 잡혀갈 것이며 뿐만 아니라 그들이 대 환란에 넘어가서 적그리스도 치하에서 고통을 받을 것이라는 흉보였던 것입니다. 하나님께서 이스라엘을 심판하시는 이유에 대하여 선지자 아모스 선지자를 통하여 말씀하셨습니다: “너희가 ….선지자들에게 명하여 말하기를 ‘예언하지 말라.’ 하였느니라. 보라 곡식단을 가득 실은 수레가 눌림같이 내가 너희 아래서 눌림을 받는도다. 그러므로 도피하는 자가 급히 망할 것이요, 강한 자도 자기 힘을 낼 수 없으며 용사도 자신을 구할 수 없으이라.”(암 2:12-14)

        보이지 않는 것들이 실제로 나타나기 직전에 살고 있는 우리들 역시 앞으로 일어날 일들을 말씀 안에서 예언하는 선지자적인 삶을 살아야 할 때인 것입니다. 비록 이러한 삶을 통하여  죽음이 우리 몸 안에 역사할지라도 한 사람이라도 생명을 받게 하는 일을 해야 할 때인 것입니다. 옛날 이스라엘이 바벨론에 의해 멸망당하였던 것처럼 지금은 앞으로 큰 바벨론이 될 로마교회가 한나님의 교회들을 멸망길로 인도하고 있는 것입니다. 그들이 주관하는 WCC를 통하여 종교통합으로 교회들을 인도하여 하나님의 교회들이 우상숭배에 빠지게 하여 심판을 받게 될 것에 대하여  증거해야 하는 것입니다. 이로써 무지한 사람들을 지옥으로부터 생명으로, 또한 무지한 그리스도인들을 진리로 인도해야하는 때인 것입니다. 비록 박해를 받아 우리 안에 사망이 역사할 것이지만 결국은 우리 안에 있는 사망의 역사로 다른 사람들을 구원으로 인도하는 참 그리스도인의 축복을 누리게 될 것입니다.아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 116:1-19

Main scripture: 2Corinthians 4:1-18

Subject: Are you living as prophet?

          Apostle Paul testifies of himself as the one that is saved unto eternal life according to the mercy of God. Not only mercy, but also he received the gifts from the Lord as prophet, evangelist and teacher. This was the reason why he not fainted. Therefore he had renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending himself to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. In other word he was not ashamed himself to the conscience of men.

         As a evangelist, he found out, the god of this world has blinded the mind of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of God in the face of Jesus Christ. In other words, the glorious second-coming of the Lord Jesus Christ was not honored by them.

        Yea! The Satan, the god of this world has used his servant to the theory of evolution so that men may not believe the creation of God; and using his bride church  to make the theology of post-millennium so that men may not believe the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Not only these, but also all kind of philosophy and religions and education systems, he blinded the minds of them not to see the glorious light of the gospel of Christ that shall reign in heaven and earth.

        Only the born-again Christians through the mercy and grace have received the light in their heart to see the glory in the image of Jesus Christ, as testified by Apostle Paul. As he testified, we became to know him, when the glorious light of Christ shined into our earthen vessels.

        Apostle Paul saw the coming glory of Christ when he appears gloriously to take his bride home in heaven, and appear to the earth again with his saints. This was the reason why he was not distressed even when he was troubled on every side; and not in despair even in perplexity; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed. All his testimonies have been shared by all born-again Christians. He carried death in his flesh in the midst of persecution as Christ died; but through his death in his flesh he could manifest the resurrection of Christ.

        As the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, but rose again the third day according to the scriptures,  he also lived as dead man in the midst of all kinds of persecution in the world. But he testified, through living Christ in him (Gal. 2:20), he was blessed giving life unto men through life of resurrection from death.

       Saying he has the same spirit of faith as other Christians, he spoke as “I believed, and therefore have I spoken.”.  An old psalmist testified:

“Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

I said in my haste, All men are liars.

What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?

I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.

I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”(Ps 116:7-15)

        Finally, Apostle Paul testified unto the Corinthians of his faith; The Father God that raised the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead shall raise up us also, and he shall present us with him gloriously. He also testified of his faith unto the Colossians saying,  “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”(Col.ㅣ. 3:4) And he encouraged them to mortify their members which are upon the earth. Apostle Peter also encouraged the strangers scattered throughout many areas under persecution unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ saying, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”(1Pet. 1:7)

        Apostle Paul testifies also of the sufferings of Christians in this world that are not worthy to be compared  with the glory which shall be revealed :” 16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”(Rom. 8:16-18)

He also encouraged Timothy, his spiritual son of the glory that shall be revealed in the prison saying, “Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:”(2Tim. 2:8-12)

        Apostle Paul clearly testified of the reason why he submitted his body even unto death for the sake of Christ saying, he was looking forward something; he was not looking at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen are eternal. Then, what he was looking at something eternal? He foresaw the things through the words of God that are not visible, but eventually to be seen in the future. He testified of the day of Christ that is the day of Rapture (1Cor. 1:8, Phil. 1:6,10; 2:16, 2Thes. 2:2). In addition, he testified clearly of the judgment seat of Christ where Christians shall stand before after Rapture; and apostasy to come before the day of Christ; and the mystery of lawlessness, that is the son of perdition that is Anti-Christ; and the Millennium of Christ to come with the second coming of Jesus Christ for Hebrews as well as for the churches of God; and the final judgment seat of white throne of God for the secrets of men.

        Apostle Paul live his life as a prophet. He preached the gospel of grace of Christ; and he also prophesied the message of the judgment toward the world according to the scriptures. All the persecution that he receives was exactly same as the ones that the prophets in Israel. As the old prophets such as Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel and Amos were persecuted unto death for them not to prophesy, Apostle Paul also was persecuted unto death. Old prophets prophesied the bad news toward Israel for them to forsake the idols to repent; or they shall be in captivity in Babylon; and they shall be persecuted by the Anti-Christ in the Great Tribulation to come. The LORD God declared the reason why he shall judge the Israel through Amos saying, “ye….commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves. Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:”(Amos 2:12-14)

        It is the right time for us to live as prophet prophesying the things to come according to the scriptures looking forward invisible things to be revealed sooner or later. Even though death could work in us through the life as prophet, it is good for someone to have eternal life. As Israel was destroyed by Babylon, Roman Church is leading the churches of God to destruction. Using WCC, they are dumping the church of God in the Ecumenical movement for them to drink the cup of Idolatry; so we have to preach against them of the judgment of God to come. It is the right time for us to deliver the ignorant people to life from the hell; and lead the ignorant Christian to the truth. Death shall work in us, but we shall be blessed eventually as true Christian through leading people to salvation. Amen! Hallelujah!
