금주의 묵상: 시편 133:1-3

본문: 에베소서 4:1-16

제목: 하나님의 왕국 안에서 어떤 일을 하고 있는가?

        예수 그리스도의 피를 통하여 모든 죄가 제거되어 성령으로 다시 태어난 사람은 영적으로 더 이상 이 세상에 사는 사람이 아니며 이미 하나님의 왕국에 들어간 사람인 것입니다. 누구든지 하나님의 미리 아심 가운데 부르심을 받아 그리스도의 복음을 통하여 하나님의 의를 입어 의롭게 된 사람은 하늘 나라의 시민권을 받은 자로서 육신의 몸 안에 살면서 부르심을 받은 대로 이 땅에 있는 하나님의 왕국인 하나님의 교회 안에서 하나님의 교회를 위하여 섬기는 일을 하도록 부르심을 받은 것입니다.

       세상 나라에서도 태어난 모든 사람들은 태어난 나라에서 요구하는 의무가 있으며 그 의무를 행하는 사람에게만 그 나라 국민으로서 행사할 수 있는 권리가 주어지는 것입니다. 예를 들어서, 교육의 의무, 병역의 의무, 근로의 의무, 납세의 의무 등을 행하는 사람에게만 각사람에게 주어지는 권리를 주장할 수 있는 것입니다. 그러나 각자가 하는 일이 불법이 아니고 타인들을 위하여 섬기는 일이 되는 어떤 미션 아래 사업도 하면서 자신과 타인들을 위한 기업을 운영하기도 하는 것입니다.

        마찬가지로  하나님의 왕국 안에 들어온 사람 역시 하나님께서 하나님의 왕국으로 부르셔서 하나님의 자녀요 하늘나라의 시민이 되게 하신 모든 사람은 부르실 때 각자가 하나님의 왕국 안에서 다른 지체들을 섬기는 일을 주셨다는 것입니다. 그러므로 구원받아 하나님의 왕국 안에 있는 모든 사람은 하나님께서 행하라고 하신 사명이 무엇인지 바로 알고 그 부르심에 합당하게 행하라는 것입니다. 다시 말해서 하나님께서 부르셔서 영원한 생명을 주셔서 교회 안에서 행하라고 주신 미션이 무엇인지 먼저 알아야 할 것을 말씀하고 있는 것입니다.

        사도 바울은 고린도교회 성도들에게 편지할 때에 “다양한 은사들이 있으나 성령은 동일하며, 다양한 봉사들이 있으나 주는 동일하며 다양한 역사들이 있으나 하나님은 동일하니라.”(고전 12:4-6)고 증거했습니다. 다시 말해서 하나님의 교회 안에서 각자가 섬기는 일을 할 수 있도록 성령께서 각자에게 필요한 은사를 주시고, 받은 은사대로 어떤 섬김을 해야 하는 지, 다시 말해서 본문에서 말씀하고 있는 것처럼 부르심에 합당하게 행할 수 있는 봉사의 일을 주시며 받은 은사를 가지고 합당한 봉사를 할 때에 하나님께서 역사하시어 능히 부르심에 합당하게 행할 수 있도록 하신다는 것입니다.

          또한 부르심을 받은 대로 섬기는 봉사의 일을 할 때에 자신이 받은 은사가 다른 지체들이 받은 것보다 다 우월한 것으로 생각함으로 인해 교만하게 행하지 말고 겸손한 마음으로 섬겨야 하며 자신이 먼저 다른 지체를 인정하면서 온유하게 피차 복종하는 마음으로 행해야 할 것을 권면하고 있습니다. 또한 다른 지체들이 받은 은사가 다르고 성격도 다르고 세상에서 자란 환경이나 가문이나 교육 수준등 모든 것이 다르다는 것을 못마땅하게 여김으로써 다른 사람들을 자신에 맞추려하지 말고 오히려 자신을 부인하면서 하나님의 사랑 안에서 서로 용납함으로써 서로 품어주어야 한다고 말씀하고 있는 것입니다. 하나님의 사랑에 대하여 사도 바울은 로마에 있는 성도들에게 편지할 때에 “우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로써 하나님께서는 우리를 향한 그의 사랑을 나타내셨느니라.”(롬 5:8)고 증거했습니다.

         이 세상 나라에서도 일정한 나이가 되어 군대에 입대하게 되면 나라 각지에서 가지각색의 사람들이 모여들게 되어 도저히 하나가 될 수 없을 정도로 가히 오합지졸을 이루게 되는 것을 봅니다. 그러나 그들이 함께 생활하게 됨으로써 사회에서 누렸던 모든 것들을 더 이상 주장할 수 없는 것을 깨닫게 되고 고된 훈련을 받아가며 주어진 계급 안에서 겸손하게 행하게 되면서 일사분란한 공동체를 이루어 가게 되는 것입니다.

       그렇습니다. 영적으로 하나님의 교회는 세상에서 각자가 흩어져 살다가 하나님의 부르심에 순종하여 그리스도의 군사로서 하나님의 군대에 입대한 사람들이 모여 있는 공동체인 것입니다. 그러므로 세상에서 가지고 있었던 모든 것들을 다 내려놓고 자신을 부인하고 다른 사람들로부터 받는 모든 어려움들을 참으면서 오직 사령관이신 주 예수 그리스도께 순종하는 마음으로 서로 섬기는 경건의 연습을 통하여 점차적으로 하나가 되어가는 것입니다. 그러므로 사도 바울은 본문에서 “화평의 띠 안에서 성령의 하나 됨을 지키도록 열심히 노력하라.”(엡 4:3)고 강력하게 권면하고 있는 것입니다.

      또한 사도 바울은 하나가 되어야 하는 필연성에 대하여 증거하고 있습니다. 하나님의 교회의 모든 지체들은 한 소망, 즉 그리스도의 날, 즉 휴거의 날에 죄의 몸을 벗어버리고 그리스도와 동일한 형상인 영화로운 몸을 입는 한 날을 소망한다는 사실을 잊지 말라는 것입니다. 또한 이 땅에서 주님의 일을 한 만큼 천년왕국에서 그리스도와 한께 한 공동상속자로서의 통치권을 부여받는 한 소망을 가진 사람들인 것입니다. 그러므로 모든 지체들은 좋든지 싫든지 상관 없이 머리 되신 그리스도의 몸에 붙어 있는 지체들이며 이제는 더 이상 아담의 혈통이 아니고 그리스도의 보혈을 통하여 받은 한 성령 안에서 하나님의 왕국 안에 있는 사람들이고 한 하나님 아버지를 섬기는 자들이며 오직 그리스도 예수만을 믿는 믿음을 통하여 은혜로 값없이 구원 받아서 한 성령 안으로 침례 받아 그리스도의 몸 안에 함께 살고 있는 자들임을 잊지 말라는 것입니다. 한 침례는 그리스도와 함께 한 죽음의 침례를 통하여 그리스도 안에서 모든 죄가 제거되었을뿐 아니라 한 성령 안으로 마시게 된 것을 증거한 것입니다. 사도 바울은 한 침례와 한 성령에 대하여 고린도 교회 성도들에게 편지할 때에 “유대인이나 이방인이나, 종이나 자유인이나 한 성령에 의하여 우리 모두가 한 몸 안으로 침례를 받았으며 또 우리 모두가 한 성령 안으로 마시게 되었느니라.”(고전 12:13)고 증거했습니다. 그는 로마에 있는 성도들에게 편지할 때에도 “예수 그리스도 안으로 침례받은 우리가 그의 죽으심 안으로 침례받은 것을 알지 못하느냐? 그러므로 우리가 죽음 안으로 침례를 받아 그와 함께 장사되었으니 이는 아버지의 영광으로 인하여 그리스도께서 죽은 자들로부터 일으켜지심과같이 우리도 또한 생명의 새로움 가운데서 행하게 하려 하심이라.”(롬 6:3,4)고 증거했습니다.

         사도 바울은 본문에서 그리스도의 몸을 섬기면서 성도들을 온전케 하며 섬기는 사역자들에 대하여서도 증거하기를 어떤 사람들은 사도로, 어떤 사람들은 선지자로, 어떤 사람들은 복음전도자로, 어떤 사람들은 목사와 교사로 주셨다고 말씀하고 있습니다. 예수 그리스도께서 육신의 몸을 입으시고 일하실 때에 다섯 가지 모든 사역을 행하셨으나 그분께서 우리의 죄들로 인하여 죽으시고 장사되셨다가 셋째 날에 부활 하실 때에 아브라함의 품에 있는 구약 성도들을 데리고 하늘로 가셨다고 사도 바울이 증거하고 있습니다. 또한 그리스도께서 하늘로 올라 가실 때 자신이 하셨던 다섯 가지 일들을 대신하여 행할 수 있도록 필요한 은사들을 주셔서 자신의 종들로 하여금 하나님의 교회 안에서 섬기게 하신 것입니다. 또한 성도들이 받은 은사대로 겸손하고 온유하고 오래참음과 사랑 가운데 서로 용납하고 화평의 띠 안에서 하나 됨을 지킬 수 있도록 함으로써 성도들을 영적으로 온전케 하는 섬김을 하도록 하게 하심으로써 그리스도의 몸을 세우게 하셨습니다.

        사도 바울이 증거한 것 처럼, 하나님의 교회 안에 있는 모든 지체들은 그리스도께서 나타나실 때에 모두가 한 믿음과 하나님의 아들을 아는 진리의 지식에서 모두 하나가 되어 하나님께서 인정하시는 온전한 사람이 되어야 한다고 권면하고 있습니다. 그렇게 되기 위해서는 그리스도의 형상으로 변화되기에 충분할만큼 장성한 분량까지 이르도록 하나님의 전신갑주로 무장하여 더 이상 미혹되지 말고 항상 사랑 안에서 진리를 말하는 영적인 공동체를 이루어 나갈 것을 강력하게 증거하고 있는 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 133:1-3

Main scripture: Ephesians 4:1-16

Subject: What is your vocation in the kingdom of God?

        Whosoever is born again of the Spirit after all sins are taken away through the blood of Jesus Christ is no more dwells in the world, but already in the kingdom of God. Whosoever is called by God in the midst of foreknowing of God, and justified through the righteousness of God in the gospel of Christ has already citizenship of heavenly kingdom. And he is called to ministering work in the church of God that is earthly kingdom of God.

        Even in the world, everyone that is born in the nation has his own duty as the citizen of that nation; and only they that observe their duty are able to ask the nation for their rights. For instances, there are duties of education, military service, service and tax; and only they that keep their duties could ask for their rights according to their needs. They could establish business under certain mission statement, unless it is illegal.

          In the kingdom of God, whosoever is called to be the children of God as well as the citizen the kingdom of God is also given some kind of ministry to serve other members. Therefore, everyone that has to figure out the vocation to walk worthy of it. In other word, everyone has to understand his own mission that is supposed to work in the church of God.

        Apostle Paul testified unto the saints in Corinthians church saying, “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.”(1Cor. 12:4-6)

In other word, The Holy Ghost gives  necessary gifts so that each member in the church of God may be able to minister to others according to their calling to do right ministry; and the Lord gives operation through using the gifts; and God works all in all so that they may be able to walk worthy of the vocation wherewith they are called.

        Apostle Paul encouraged them  not to be proud but rather to be lowliness not thinking their own gifts of the Spirit superior to others; and recognizing other members with meekness through subduing one to another. He also encouraged not to ignore other members because they have different gifts, and different characters, and different backgrounds in the world such as family history or level of education and so on; and not try others subdue unto themselves, but to deny themselves and to forbear others embracing others in the love of God. Apostle Paul testified unto the saints of Romans of the love of God saying, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”(Rom. 5:8)

        In the nations of the world, when people are called to military services, many different kinds of people gather together from everywhere of the nation so that it seems to be totally impossible to be united in one. But in the course of times passing by in the midst of dwelling together, gradually they are to be mingled one to another knowing themselves to be worthless of their backgrounds in the world to ne lowliness in obeying themselves according to their ranks; and finally they are going to be united in the team spirit.

        Yea! Spiritually, the church of God is the body of a collective life consisting of them that lived scattered in different environments, but now obeying the calling of God they gather together to be in the army of God as the soldiers of Christ. Therefore, they have to put down all things that they used to own, and to deny themselves, and to endure all kinds of troubles. Finally they are going to be one accord through practicing godliness serving one another obeying the Lord Jesus Christ. In the main passage, Therefore, Apostle Paul encouraged saying, “Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”(Eph.4:3)

        Apostle Paul also testified of the necessity to be one. He encouraged not to forget that the church has the same hope, that is the day of Christ, the day of Rapture when we are going to put off the body of sin to be clothed with the glorious body to be same as the image of Christ. The same hope is related to the reigning power in the Millennium of Christ according to the works of the Lord in the earth as joint heirs with Christ. And all the members of the church are the members of the body of Christ whether they want or not. They are no more in the blood line of Adam, but they are in the kingdom of God in the one Spirit serving one Father. They are saved by grace  freely only through the faith in Christ Jesus, and hey are baptized into the one Spirit to be dwelling in the body of Christ. Of one baptism, all their sins were taken away through the baptism of death with Christ, but also were made to drink into one Spirit.

        Apostle Paul testified unto the Corinthians church of one baptism and one Spirit saying, “ For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”(1Cor. 12:13)

He also testified unto the saints in Rome saying, “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”(Rom. 6:3,4)

        Apostle Paul testified of the ministers that serve the saints for perfecting them as well as for edifying saying, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;”(Eph. 4:11)

Jesus Christ performed all the works for himself, when he was in flesh. Apostle Paul testified, Jesus Christ took the saints of the Old Testaments in the bosom of Abraham to heaven when he rose from the dead after he died and buried. Therefore, after he went up to heaven, he gave gifts unto his servants for them to be able to do five different ministries to minister his church. And using their gifts, they are able to help the saints  for them to be in lowliness according to their gifts in meekness with longsuffering, forbearing one another so that they may be able to perfecting the saints and edifying them also.

       As Apostle Paul testified, all the members in the church of God are encouraged to come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. For this, all the members have to be equipped with the whole armor of God  not to be seduced anymore, but to be speaking the truth unto the spiritually living one body in Christ. Amen! Hallelujah!
