금주의 묵상: 시편 99:1-9

본문: 요한복음 16:12-15

제목: 모든 진리와 다가올 일들을 알려주시려고 오신 성령 하나님

        예수께서는 이제 마지막 기도를 하시기 위하여 올리브 산으로 가시기 전에 앞으로 사도들로서 일할 제자들에게 아주 중요한 말씀을 하셨습니다.

      예수께서 이 세상에 나타나시기 전 사천 년 동안 수많은 하나님의 종들을 통하여 하늘과 땅을 죄와 사망과 저주로부터 회복하시기 위하여 나타나실 그리스도이신 예수에 대하여 미리 증거하게 하셨습니다.

      수많은 종들과 선지자들을 통하여 미리 말씀하신대로 이 세상에 예수라는 이름으로 하나님께서 나타나셔서 그 일을 이루시기 위하여 준비가 되신 후 마지막으로 제자들에게 당부하는 말씀입니다.

      예수께서는 만물을 회복하는 일을 하시기 위하여 죄인들에게 붙잡혀서 온갖 고난과 모욕과 채찍질 당하시고 십자가에서 죽으시고 장사되셨다가 셋째 날에 살아나시는 일을 통하여 하늘과 땅에 아버지의 뜻을 이루실 준비가 되신 것입니다. 그리고 그분께서는 이 일을 위하여 모든 고난과 수치를 견디시고 다 이루셨습니다.

      지금 예수께서는 자신이 이 모든 일을 이루시고 하늘로 가셔서 주와 그리스도가 되신 후 아버지께서 그의 이름으로 오실 성령님이 하실 일을 말씀하시고 있는 것입니다. 그때까지는 성령이 그들 안에 내주하시지 않았기 때문에 예수께서는 그들에게 모든 진리를 말씀해 주셔도 그들이 감당할 수 없는 것을 아시고 앞으로 오실 진리의 영이신 성령님께 맡기셨던 것입니다.

      다시 말해서 성령께서는 주 예수 그리스도께서 못다 하신 진리와 그들에게 앞으로 다가올 일들을 알려주시겠다고 제자들에게 말씀하신 것입니다. 주님께서는 승천하시기 직전에도 또 한 번 말씀하셨습니다. 예수께서는 그들에게 예루살렘을 떠나지 말고 아버지의 약속을 기다려야 한다고 명령하시면서 “그것은 너희가 내게서 너희가 들은 바니라. 요한은 물로 침례를 주었으나 너희는 여러 날이 지나지 않아 성령으로 침례를 받으리라.”(행 1:4,5)고 다시 한 번 그들에게 성령을 기다려야 할 것을 말씀하셨습니다.

        주님께서 약속하신 대로 열흘이 지났을 때에 성령께서 오순절에 그들이 기도하고 있는 자리에 임하셨습니다. 그들은 성령으로 침례를 받았으며 제일 먼저 사도 베드로의 입을 통하여 진리의 말씀과 앞으로 다가올 일들에 대하여 성령께서 말하게 하심을 따라 유대인들에게 증거하게 하셨습니다.

      주님의 제자들은 성령의 내주하심에 따라 거짓의 아비인 마귀가 통치하는 세상을 향하여 진리의 빛을 비추기 시작했던 것입니다. 그들은 모세 오경과 시편과 선지서에 기록된 말씀들을 성령 안에서 깨닫고 깨달은 진리의 말씀들을 진리가 없는 어두움의 세상에 전파하면서 진리의 빛을 비추기 시작하였습니다. 뿐만 아니라 지난 이천 년 동안 성령으로 침례받은 수많은 거듭난 그리스도인들을 통하여 지금도 계속 진리의 빛이 비치고 있는 것입니다.

        주님께서는 미지막 기도에서 제자들을 위하여 기도하실 때, “아버지의 진리로 그들을 거룩하게 하여 주옵소서. 아버지의 말씀은 진리니이다.”(요 17:17)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 다시 말해서 진리를 깨닫지 못하면 하나님 앞에서 거룩하지 못함을 말씀하신 것입니다. 주님의 기도 가운데서 우리에게 주시는 아주 중요한 진리는 이 세상에서 하나님의 말씀 외에는 진리가 아니라는 것입니다.

        그러나 우리는 사단이 통치하는 이 세상에서 그가 창조한 교육 시스템과 삶의 현장에서 수십 년 간 공부하면서 그 가운데 살지 않으면 안되는 현실인 것입니다. 그러나 학교에서 공부하고 삶의 현장에서 배우는 것 이상으로 진리의 말씀을 공부해야만 진리와 비진리를 분별할 수 있는 것입니다. 비록 학교와 삶의 현장에서 진리가 아닌 것들을 배울지라도 진리의 말씀으로 충만할 때에 진리가 없는 현장에서 진리를 전파하는 기회로 삼을 수 있는 것입니다.

        주님께서는 성령께서 하실 두 번째 일에 대하여 그들에게 다가올 일들을 알려주시겠다고 말씀하셨습니다. 성령께서는 사도들에게 앞으로 일어날 일들에 대하여 자세하게 알려주셨으며 알려주신 말씀들을 모두 자세하게 기록하여 교회들에게 편지하게 하신 것입니다. 성령께서는 모든 진리와 앞으로 일어날 모든 일들을 기록한 그들의 편지들을 성경으로 인정하셔서 지금 우리들에게 주셨습니다.

        성령께서는 이미 모세에게 하나님의 천지창조뿐만 아니라 자신이 태어나지도 않았던 시대의 모든 일들을 일일히 보여주시고 그로 하여금 본 것을 기록하게 하셨습니다. 뿐만 아니라 선지자들에게도 그들에게 앞으로 될 일들을 보여주심으로써 그들로 하여금 예언하게 하셨습니다. 그들 역시 진리의 말씀들과 앞으로 그리스도를 통하여 이루실 모든 일들을 미리 증거한 것입니다.

        선지자들의 예언을 이루시기 위하여 주 예수 그리스도께서 세상 죄들을 위하여 그들이 예언한 성경대로 우리의 죄들로 인하여 죽으시고 장사되셨다가 성경대로 셋째 날에 살아나셨습니다. 또한 예수님 대신 세상에 나타나신 성령께서는 사도들을 통하여 우리에게 모든 진리와 앞으로 일어날 일들을 자세하게 말하게 하시고 기록된 말씀으로 우리들에게 주신 것입니다.

        성령께서는 사도 요한에게 하나님의 교회들이 어떻게 변질될 것들과 거듭난 그리스도인들이 휴거되고 난 후에 이 세상에 나타날 야곱의 고난의 때, 즉 대 환란의 광경을 성령 안에서 미리 보게하셔서 기록하게 하셨습니다. 큰 바벨론과 적그리스도의 나타남과 하나님의 어린양의 혼인식과 주 예수 그리스도께서 만주의 주, 만왕의 왕으로 이땅에 재림하셔서 아마겟돈에서 심판하시는 광경도 보고 기록하였습니다. 그후에 나타나게 될 그리스도의 천년왕국과 마지막 백보좌 심판석과 영원세계에서 새 하늘과 새 땅, 그리고 그리스도의 신부가 영원히 살게 될 새 예루살렘을 보고 기록했습니다. 이 얼마나 놀라운 광경들입니까? 그러나 진리의 영이 없는 사람은 이 진리의 말씀 속에 들어있는 장래의 일들을 전혀 볼 수 없는 것입니다. 그들은 날 때부터 영적인 소경들이기 때문입니다.

      성령께서는 사도 베드로를 통하여서도 진리의 말씀들과 앞으로 일어날 일들에 대하여 본 것을 증거하게 하셨습니다.그는 하늘과 땅이 경건치 못한 자들의 심판과 멸망의 날에 불사르려고 간수되어진 것이라고 증거했습니다. 또한 마지막 심판의 날에 하늘들이 굉장한 소리를 내며 사라지고 우주의 구성요소들이 맹렬한 불로 녹아내리고 땅과 그 안에 있는 모든 일들이 타버리는 광경을 보고 기록하여 편지했습니다.

      사도 바울 역시 많은 진리와 앞으로 일어날 일들에 대하여 본 것들을 쓰게 하셔서 교회들에게 보냈습니다. 성령을 받은 거듭난 그리스도인들이 그리스도와 함께 한 공동상속자들로서 그리스도의 심판석에서 상을 받은 만큼 그리스도와 함께 통치하게 되는 영광에 대하여 증거했습니다. 뿐만 아니라 앞으로 조만간 일어날 휴거에 대하여 데살로니가 교회와 고린도 교회에게 자세하게 기록된 말씀으로 증거했습니다. 또한 하나님의 뜻의 신비에 대하여 하늘에 있는 것들이나 땅에 있는 것들이나 자신 안에 있는 것들까지도 만물을 그리스도 안에서 함께 모으시는 일에 대하여 증거했습니다. 그는 그리스도인들이 받은 은혜로 받은 구원이 영원히 보장하기 위하여 흘리신 그리스도의 피에 대하여 분명하게 증거했습니다. 또한 휴거가 일어나기 직전에 있을 일에 대하여먼저 배교가 일어날 것과 죄의 사람 멸망의 아들이 나타지 않고서는 그날이 오지 않을 것을 증거했습니다.

      그렇습니다. 성령께서 선지자 이사야와 사도 베드로를 통하여 선포하신 진리의 말씀처럼 모든 육체는 풀과 같이 시들며 모든 영광도 풀의 꽃과 같이 떨어지지만 하나님의 말씀만이 영원한 진리인 것입니다(사 40:6-8, 벧전 1:24,25). 영원한 진리는 그리스도의 복음을 믿는 자들에게 영원한 생명을 주시어 앞으로 나타날 영원한 하나님의 왕국에서 영원히 유업을 누리게 하는 것입니다. 그러므로 영원하지 못한 육체나 그 육체가 현 세상에서 누리는 정욕과 영광은 이 세상과 함께 사라지게 될 것입니다(요일 2:17). 다시 말해서 우리가 바라보는 것은 보이는 것들이 아니고, 보이지 않는 것들인 것입니다. 이는지금 눈에 보이는 모든 것들은 잠깐 뿐이지만 보이지 않는 것들은 영원하기 때문입니다(고후 4:18).

       우리의 믿음은 무엇인가 바라는 것이 실상이 된 것이며(히 11:1), 바라는 것들은 하나님의 말씀 안에 있는 보이지 않는 것들을 바라보는 것이며, 우리의 정욕 속에 있는 생각과 상상 속에 있는 것들을 바라보는 것이 아닙니다.. 그러므로 우리는 이 진리의 말씀 안에 있는 눈에 보이지 않는 것들을 바라는 믿음 안에서 하나님께서 예비하신 것들을 바라보면서 믿음으로 살아갈 때 조만간 보이지 않던 모든 것들이 우리 앞에 실상으로 나타나게 될 것입니다. 우리가 보이지 않는 것들을 바라보면서 진리를 믿는 믿음 안에서 살아갈 때에 어느날 주님을 영광 가운데 만나게 될 것입니다. 아멘! 할랠루야!

Meditation of the week: psalms 99:1-9

Subject: The Holy Ghost that came to let us know all truth as well as things to come

        Before Jesus went to Mount Olive to make final prayer, he spoke very important word unto his disciples who should be apostles for him.

        The LORD God had made many his servants prophesy four thousand years of Christ Jesus that is to appear to restore heaven and earth from sin and death and curse.

        As God had prophesied through many servants as well as prophets, God manifested in flesh in the name of Jesus; and he spoke unto his disciples finally after he was ready to fulfill the will of God.

        He was ready to be arrested to receive all kinds of persecution, reproaches and stripes unto death on the cross; and to be buried and to rise the third day to fulfill the will of the Father in heaven and earth. And afterwards, he fulfilled the will of God after he endured the cross despising the shame.

        Now, Jesus is speaking unto his disciples of the things to be done by the Holy Ghost which is to come in his name from the Father, after he goes to heaven to be the Lord and Christ in heaven. Knowing that they cannot bear all truth, for the Holy Ghost was not dwelling within them, Jesus wanted the Holy Ghost that is the Spirit of the truth to come to guide them all truth.

        In other word, the Holy Ghost to come shall guide his disciples to all truth as well as things to come for them. Jesus spoke again of this right before he was lifted to heaven. Jesus commanded them that they shall not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, and said to them, “For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.”(Acts 1:5) Jesus asked them again to wait for the Holy Ghost.

        As Jesus Promised, ten days later, the Holy Ghost came unto them in the midst of their assembly on the day of Pentecost. They was baptized with the Holy Ghost; Apostle Peter testified unto the Jew as the Spirit gave him utterance of the truth and things to come.

        The disciples of Jesus in the dwelling of the Holy Ghost began to shine the light of truth unto the world that was ruled by the devil that is the father of lie. They understood all the words in Moses’ law, psalms and prophets in the Spirit, and they began to preach the light of the truth unto the world in darkness without the truth. Not only they, but also innumerous born again Christians have been shining the light of the truth for last two thousand years.

      Jesus said in his final prayer for his disciples, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”(John 17:17)

In other word, no one can be sanctified, unless they understand the truth. A very important truth in his final prayer is that nothing is truth but the word of God.

        But our reality is to live in the world ruled by Satan spending our times in the education system as well as living places for tens years. Therefore, we have to study the words of truth more than the knowledge learned from school as well as our living places to discern the false from the truth. Even though we may learn not the truth in school and living places, we can take opportunity to preach the truth when we are filled with the words of truth.

        Of the second thing to be done by the Holy Ghost is to let them know the things to come for them. The Holy Ghost gave all things to come unto the apostles in details; and they wrote them all in details, and send all the words of God unto the churches. The Holy Ghost anointed all truth as well as things to come in their letters to be the Holy Scriptures ; and gave unto all of us.

        The Holy Ghost showed not only the scenes of the creation of heaven and earth, but also all things in details before he was born; and made him write whatever he saw. Not only Moses, but unto the prophets the Holy Ghost showed the things to come, and let them prophesy. They also testified of the words of truth as well as things to be done through Christ.

        To fulfill the prophesy of the prophets, the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures as they prophesied, and buried, and rose again the third day. And the Holy Ghost that appeared on the behalf of Jesus made the apostles to testify all truth as well as things to come in details, and to write them all to give unto us.

        The Holy Ghost showed Apostle John in the Spirit of the falling away of the churches, the raptures of the born again Christian, the Great Tribulation called as the trouble of Jacob after the rapture, and made him write. Not only these things but the great Babylon, appearance of Antichrist, Judgment in the Armageddon followed by the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ as KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS were shown to him to write all of those things to come. He also saw the Millennium of Christ to come afterwards, the final judgment seat of white throne of God, and the New Heaven, the New Earth as well as the New Jerusalem, the dwelling place of the bride of Christ in the eternity. What a wondrous scenes those are! But no one can see the things to come in the words of truth, unless one has the Spirit of truth, for they are the blind from the birth.

        The Holy Ghost also made Apostle Peter to testify the words of truth as well as things to come as he saw in the Spirit. He testified, the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perditions of ungodly men. He also saw the scene in the day of the Lord and write them all, and testified, the heavens shall pass away with great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

        Apostle Paul also wrote what he saw in the Spirit of the truth and things to come to send to the churches. He testified of the glorious reigning power of born again Christians with Christ as his joint–heir as much they are rewarded at the judgment seat of Christ. He also testified of the Rapture to happen sooner or later unto the saints of Corinthians as well as Thessalonians in his letter. And also of the mystery of the will of God, he testified, God might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him(Eph. 1:10). He also testified of the eternal security for the salvation received by grace through faith for Christians. And of the things to come right before the rapture to happen, he testified, that day shall not come, except there com a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition(2Thes. 2:3)

        Yea! As the word of truth that the Holy Ghost spoke through prophet Isaiah and Apostle Peter, all flesh shall wither as grass, and all the glory of man shall fall away. But the word of the Lord endures for ever(Isa. 40:6-8, 1Pet. 1:24,25). The eternal truth is to give the eternal life unto them that believe the gospel of Christ so that they may have eternal inheritance in the eternal kingdom of God to come. Therefore, flesh that is not eternal as well as the lust and glory in the world shall disappear with the world(1John 2;17). In other word, the things that we hope for are not visible things, but invisible things. All things visible before our eyes are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal (2Cor. 4:18)

        Our faith is the substance what we hope for (Heb. 11:1). What we hope for is to hope the things invisible in the words of God nothing in our thoughts and imagination of our own hear in the lust of flesh. Therefore, we have to hope for things invisible in the word of truth, and live by faith in the things reserved by God. Then, all things invisible shall appear as substance that is real ones before our eyes sooner or later. In the midst of living by faith hoping for the things invisible in the word of truth, we shall see the Lord in glory. Amen! Hallelujah!
