금주의 묵상: 시편 45:1-17

본문: 골로새서 1:1-14

제목: 마지막 날을 바라보며 하나님의 눈에 합당하게 행하고 있는가?

      사도 바울은 본문을 통하여 그 당시 골로새에 있는 그리스도인 성도들뿐만 아니라 그리스도 안에서 성령으로 거듭난 모든 그리스도인들에게 권면하고 있습니다. 사도 바울은 그 당시 골로새에 있는 성도들이 그리스도이신 예수를 믿는 믿음뿐만 아니라 그 믿음 안에서 모든 성도들을 사랑하는 것을 보고 하나님께 감사했습니다. 또한 골로새 성도들이 복음의 진리의 말씀 안에서 행함으로 열매를 맺음으로써 그들을 위하여 하늘에 쌓여있는 소망을 보면서 하나님께 감사드렸습니다.

      사도 바울은 그들이 믿음으로 행하는 것을 기뻐하고 하나님께 감사하면서 계속해서 그들을 위하여 기도한다고 말하고 있습니다. 그가 그들을 위하여 기도하고 간구하는 것은 그들이 모든 지혜와 영적 지각 안에서 그분의 뜻을 아는 지식으로 충만케 되어 주께 합당히 행함으로써 모든 일에 하나님을 기쁘시게 하고 선한 일마다 열매를 맺고, 하나님을 아는 지식이 자라나며, 또 그분의 영광의 힘을 따라 모든 능력으로 강화되어기쁨으로 모든 인내와 오래 참음에 이르어 빛 가운데서 성도의 유업의 동참자가 되기에 합당하게 되어 마침내 빛 가운데로 인도하신 하나님께 감사드리기 위함이라고 증거했습니다..

      그렇습니다. 그리스도이신 예수를 알고 믿어 성령으로 거듭난 사람들은 이미 마귀가 통치하는 흑암의 세상으로부터 하나님이 사랑하시는 아들이신 그리스도 예수의 왕국에 들어간 사람들이며 그 왕국 안에서 그리스도의 보혈을 통하여 모든 죄가 용서되어 제거된 것입니다(요 1:29). 그러므로 이제부터는 그리스도 예수의 왕국 안에서 어떻게 행해야 할지 바로 알고 행함으로 말씀 안에 있는 그분의 생각을 깨닫고 그 뜻대로 살아야 하는 것입니다. 말씀이 아닌 자신의 마음 속에 있는 생각과 상상으로 행하는 것은 그분께 합당한 행위가 아닌 것이기 때문입니다.

      사도 바울은 에베소 교회 성도들에게 합당하게 행함에 대하여 편지했습니다: “그러므로 주의 죄수된 내가 너희에게 권고하노니, 너희가 부르심을 받은 부르심(vocation)에 합당하게 행하되, 모든 겸손과 온유와 오래 참음과 사랑 가운데서 서로 용납하고 화평의 띠 안에서 성령의 하나 됨을 지키도록 열심히 노력하라.”(엡 4:1-3)

      부르심에 합당하게 행하기 위해서는 우선 먼저 자신이 구원받은 후 하나님의 교회 안에서 어떤 일을 하라고 부르셨는가에 대하여 알고 부르심을 받은 대로 행하라는 메시지를 주시고 있습니다: “다양한 은사들이 있으나 성령은 동일하며, 다앙한 봉사들이 있으나 주는 동일하며 다양한 역사들이 있으나 모든 것 안에서 모든 것을 역사하시는 하나님은 동일하니라. 그러나 각 사람에게 성령의 나타나심을 주신 것은 유익을 위함이라.”(고전 12:3-7)

      다시 말해서 자신이 교회 안에서 어떤 일을 하라고 부르셨는지에 대해 알기 위해서는 자신의 어떤 성령의 은사들을 받았는지 먼저 알아야 하는 것입니다. 교회 안에서 행하기 위하여 주신 은사들에 대하여, 지혜의 말씀, 지식의 말씀, 믿음, 병고치는 은사들, 기적을 행함을, 얘언함, 영들을 분별함, 방언들을 말함을, 방언들을 통역함 등이 있으며 이 은사들은 성령께서 원하시는 대로 각 사람에 나누어 주신다고 사도 바울이 증거했습니다(고전 12:8-11)

      은사들에 대하여 사도 바울은 로마에 있는 성도들에게도 증거할 때에, 많은 사람이 그리스도 안에서 한 몸이 되어 각 사람이 서로의 지체가 되었다고 증거했습니다. 또한 성령의 은사들을 통하여 나타나는 섬김에 대하여, 예언이면 믿음의 분량대로, 섬김이면 섬기는 일로, 가르치는 자는 가르치는 일로, 권면하는 자는 권면하는 일로, 구제하는 자는 성실함으로, 지도하는 자는 근면함으로, 자비를 베푸는 자는 즐거움으로 할 것이라고 권면했습니다(롬 12:3-8)

뿐만 아니라, 성도들을 온전케 하여 섬기는 일을 위하여 어떤 사람은 사도로, 어떤 사람들은 선지자로, 또한 복음전도자와 목사와 교사로 부르심을 받았다고 증거했습니다(엡 4:11,12).

      사도 바울은 부르심을 받은대로 성령의 은사들을 가지고 성도를 섬기기 위해서는 반드시 겸손과 온유함과 오래 참음과 사랑 가운데서 서로 용납하면서 모든 성도들이 성령 안에서 머리 되신 그리스도 안에서 온전히 하나되어야 한다고 에베소 교회 성도들에게 강조했습니다. 주님께서는 앞으로 하나님의 교회의 지체들이 될 제자들에게도 이에 대하여 미리 말씀하셨습니다: “누구든지 나를 따라 오려거든 자기를 부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 따르라…. 자기 십자가를 지지 않고 나를 따르는 자도 나에게는 합당치 아니하니라.”(마 16:24; 10:38).

하나님께서는 형제 간에 불화를 일으키는 자를 싫어하시며(잠 6:19), 화평케 하는 자들은 복이 있으며, 그들이 하나님의 자녀들이라 불릴 것이라(마 5:9)고 주님께서 말씀하셨습니다.

        그렇습니다. 자신을 부인하지 않고서는 교회 안에서 하나 됨을 이룰 수 없는 것입니다. 교회는 그리스도의 몸이므로 몸의 모든 지체가 머리되신 주님께 온전히 순종함으로써 성령께서 주신 말씀으로 하나 되지 않으면 그분을 따라갈 수 없는 것입니다. 그러므로 사단은 끊임없이 하나님의 교회를 공격하여 하나 되지 못하도록 흔드는 것입니다. 그러므로 주님께서는 자신을 부인하면서 성령 안에서 하나 되기 위하여 어떤 억울한 일들도 참으면서 자기 십자가를 지는 것을 기뻐하는 자들이 그분께 합당하다고 말씀하신 것입니다. 다시 말해서, 이런 사람이 하나님께서 보시기에 가치있는 사람이라는 것입니다.

        우리는 사람이 보기에 합당한 사람이 하나님 보시기에 합당치 않을 수 있다는 것을 알아야 합니다. 성령께서는 오래 전에 솔로몬왕을 통하여 말씀하셨습니다: “네 자신의 눈에 현명하게 되지 말라. 주를 두려워하고 악에서 떠나라…사람에게 옳게 보이는 길이 있으나 그 끝은 죽음의 길들이니라.”(잠 3:7; 14:12; 16:25)

      주님께서는 자신을 믿는 자들이 행하는 일에 대하여 마치 반석 위에 집을 짓는 자 와 같다고 말씀하셨습니다: “내게 와서 내 말을 듣고 그것을 행하는 사람들이 누구와 같은가를 너희에게 보여 주리라. 그는 땅을 깊이 파고 반석 위에 기초를 놓아 집을 지은 사람과 같아서 홍수가 나고 탁류가 그 집을 휩쓸어도 흔들지 못하니, 이는 그 집이 반석 위에 세워졌음이라. 그러나 듣고 행하지 않는 자는 기초가 없이 땅 위에다 집을 지은 사람과 같으니, 탁류가 휩쓸면 곧 무너져서 그 집이 파괴됨이 크니라.”(눅 6:47-49)

      사도 바울은 성령 안에서 주님의 말씀을 깨닫고 성령 안에서 반석 위에 집을 지을 지라도 어떤 재료들을 써야 하는지 주의하지 않으면 평생 일한 것이 모두 불타 버리고 영원히 큰 손해를 당하게 될 것이라고 고린도교회 성도들에게 경고했습니다: “내게 주신 하나님의 은혜에 따라 내가 현명한 건축가와 같이 기초를 닦았더니 다른 사람이 그 위에다 지으니라. 그러나 각 사람은 그 위에다 어떻게 지을지 주의해야 할 것이니라. 이 닦아 놓은 기초 외에 아무도 다른 기초를 놓을 수 없나니 이 기초는 예수 그리스도시라. 이에 누구든지 이 기초 위에 금이나 은이나 보석이나 나무나 짚이나 그루터기로 지으면 각 사람이 일한 것이 나타나게 되리니 그 날이 그것을 밝힐 것이라. 이는 그것이 불로써 드러나고 또 그불은 각 사람이 일한 것이 어떤 종류인지를 시험할 것이기 때문이라. 만일 어떤 사람의 일한 것이 세운 그대로 있으면 그는 상을 받을 것이요 만일 어떤 사람의 일한 것이 불타 버리면 그는 손해를 당하리라. 그러나 그 자신은 구원을 받게 되지만 불에 의해서인 것처럼 되리라.”(고전 3:10-15)

        구원받은 후에 반석 위에서 집을 짓고 있는지, 그렇다면 어떤 재료들로 집을 짓고 있는지 다시 한 번 점검함으로써 축복된 삶이 되기를 원합니다. 사도 바울은 좋은 재료를 써야 함에 대하여 운동장에서 경기하는 사람을 예로 들어서 증거했습니다: “경기장에서 달리는 사람들이 모두 달릴지라도 한 사람만이 상을 받는 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐? 그러므로 너희도 상을 얻게 되도록 달리라….또 이기려고 애쓰는 사람이 규칙대로 하지 아니하면 면류관을 얻지 못하리라.” (고전 9:24, 딤후 2:5)

      타지 않는 것은 영원하신 하나님 중심의 삶이며 동시에 영원하신 하나님 말씀 중심의 삶 속에서 행하는 모든 일들인 것입니다. 그러나 그 외의 것들은 세상이 불탈 때에 다 타버리게 되는 것입니다. 우리는 그리스도의 날, 즉 휴거의 날에 몸이 부활하여 공중에서 주님을 만나 그리스도의 심판석에서 불타지 않는 상을 받도록 열심히 달려 믿음을 지켜서 사도 바울처럼 우리 모두가 면류관을 받기에 합당한 자들이 되기를 기원하는 것입니다. 아멘! 할랠루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 45:1-17

Main scripture: Colossians 1:1-14

Subject: Are you walking worthy to the eyes of God looking for the day of Christ?

       In the main passage, Apostle Paul is encouraging not only the saints of Colossians, but also all the born again Christians of the Spirit. He gave thanks to God and the Father of the Jesus Christ for the saints at Colosse hearing of their faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which they had to all the saints. He also gave thanks to God for the hope which is laid up for them in heaven that they heard in the word of truth of the gospel, and for their fruits born in them since they heard and knew the grace of God in truth.

       Apostle Paul testified unto them, he did not cease to pray for them, and desire that they might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that they might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; and strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; and giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.

     Yea! Whosoever knows Christ Jesus, and believe on him, and born again of the Spirit has been delivered from the world of darkness where the devil rules, and has been translated into the kingdom of his dear Son; and in who we have redemption through his blood, that is the forgiveness of sins (John 1:29). Therefore, we are supposed to know how we behave ourselves to live according to his will knowing his mind in the words of God, for doing according to the thought and imagination of our heart departing form the words of God is not worthy of him.

       Apostle Paul wrote unto the Ephesians of doing worthy of him:

“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”(Eph. 4:1-3)

       To walk worthy of the vocation, first of all, we have to know our vocation that is what to do according to his calling in the church of God since we are saved as testified by him:

“Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.”(1Cor. 12:3-7)

       In other word, to know what kind of work we are to do in the church of God, we have know what kinds of gifts of the Spirit. Of the gifts of the Spirit given unto the members of the church, he testified of the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, the gifts of healing, the working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, diver kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues. He also testified, all these works that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will (1Cor. 12:8-11).

       Of the gifts of the Spirit, he also testified unto the saint in Roman to encourage them to do, saying, “For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.”(Rom. 12:4-8)And God called someone as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ(Eph. 4:11,12)

       Apostle Paul emphasized unto the Ephesians church to be with all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace to minister the members of church with the gifts of the Spirit. Even Jesus spoke unto the disciples that are to be the members of his church of what they are to do to follow him saying,

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me….And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.”(Matt. 16:24; 10:38) God hates he that sows discord among brethren (Prov. 6:19,; and blessed are the peace makers; for they shall be called the children of God(Matt. 5:9)

       Yea! without denying ourselves, we cannot make the church in unity. Since the church of God is the body of Christ, thee is no way for the church in unity, unless all church members obey the Lord , the head of it thoroughly to be in one unity according to the words of God given by the Holy Ghost. This is the reason why the Satan never cease to attack the church of God to disturb so that it may not be able to be one unity. This is the reason why the Lord Jesus praise them that deny themselves enduring all kinds of mistreatments to be in one unity in the Spirit taking up the cross. In other word, such kind of man is worthy to the eyes of the Lord.

       We have to remember, someone worthy of man could be not worthy of God. The Holy Ghost spoke through king Solomon long time ago: “Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil….There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”(Prov. 3:7; 14:12; 16:25)

         The Lord Jesus spoke unto his disciples of the work to be done by the believers saying, they are as if they build house on the rock: “Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”(Luke 6:47-49)

       Apostle Paul understood the words of God in the Spirit; and he warned Corinthians to be careful of what kinds of materials to use to build house not to have big loss eternally when all their works may be burnt out:“According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”(1Cor. 3:10-16)

     I wish all of you examine if you build the house on the rock after saved; and also what kinds of materials you have used again to be blessed life. Of using good material, he also testified taking example of man that runs the race saying, “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain…And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.”(1Cor. 9:24, 2Tim. 2:5)

       Things not to be burnt is the work of God centered life as well as all the works of life according to the words of God that is eternal. But other than those shall pass away when the world is burnt by the judgment of God. I wish all of you to be worthy of receiving the crowns at the judgment seat of Christ when we meet the Lord Jesus Christ in the day of Christ putting on immortal and incorruptible body. Amen !
