금주의 묵상: 시편 17:1-15

본문: 고린도후서 5:1-13

제목: 믿음으로 행하는 자의 눈에 보이는 하늘들에 있는 영원한 집

        사도 바울은 고린도교회에 있는 성도들에게 “우리가 믿음으로 행하고 보는 것으로 하지 아니함이라.”고 증거했습니다.

사도 바울이 이렇게 말한 것은 하나님의 말씀을 믿을 때에 성령을 통하여 하나님께서 그의 자녀들을 위하여 하늘에 예비하신 큰 집, 즉 가로 세로 높이가 각각 1,500 마일이나 되는 새 예루살렘(계 21:16)을 성령 안에서 확실하게 볼 수 있다고 증거한 것입니다. 또한 그 집은 휴거의 날에 육신의 몸을 벗고 썩지 않고 죽지 않는 영화로운 새 몸을 입을 때 갈 수 있는 곳이라고 증거하고 있습니다. 이 하늘에 있는 집에 대하여 예수께서도 그의 제자들에게 분명하게 말씀하셨습니다: “너희는 마음에 근심하지 말라. 너희가 하나님을 믿으니 또한 나를 믿으라. 내 아버지 집에는 많은 저택들이 있느니라. 그렇지 아니하면 내가 너희에게 말하였으리라. 나는 너희를 위하여 처소를 마련하러 가노라. 내가 가서 너희를 위하여 처소를 마련하면 다시 와서 너희를 내게로 영접하여 내가 있는 그곳에 너희도 있게 하리라.”(요 14:1-3)  

        사도 바울은 믿음으로 사는 삶에 대하여, 이 땅에서 하나님의 자녀들은 신음하면서 하늘에서 오는 우리의 집으로 옷입게 되기를 간절히 바라는 삶이라고 증거했습니다. 또한 장막같은 육신의 몸 안에서 살면서 고통 가운데 신음하는 것은 몸을 벗고 죽으려 하는 것이 아니라 오히려 성령충만을 통하여 생명의 능력이 죽을 몸을 삼켜버리게 하는 삶이라고 말한 것입니다. 우리가 비록 몸은 물리적으로는 하늘에 계신 주님으로부터 멀리 떨어져 있지만 마치 영적으로는 함께 있는 것처럼 자신에 차 있다고 증거하고 있습니다. 그 이유에 대하여 그는 물리적인 눈으로는 보지 못하나 믿음의 눈으로 확실하게 볼 수 있다고 증거한 것입니다.

        죽을 몸 안에 살면서 신음하는 것보다 되도록 빨리 몸을 떠나서, 다시 말해서 육신이 죽어서 주님을 만나는 것이 좋을 것이지만 우리가 주님을 만나기 전에 그분을 기쁘시게 하는 주님의 일을 해야 하는 사명이 있기 때문에 주님을 만나는 일보다 먼저 몸 안에 있는 동안에 그분을 기쁘시게 하는 일을 하여 주님을 만날 때 그리스도의 심판석에 앞에 나아가 그리스도를 위하여 행한 일에 대한 보상을 받을 준비를 하는 것이 더 중요하다는 것입니다. 이러한 삶을 사는 사도 바울을 향하여 아그림파왕은 그를 미친 사람이라고 말했지만 그가 미쳤어도 하나님께 미친 것이며 성도들을 위하여는 온전하다고 말했습니다. 이 죄악 세상에서 사는 모든 사람은 어디엔가 미치지 않으면 살 수 없는 것입니다. 어디엔가 열중하지 않으면 삶의 의욕을 상실하는 곳이 바로 이 세상인 것을 알아야 하는 것입니다. 그러나 하나님 외에 어떤 다른 사람이나 다른 어떤 것에 미치게 되면 죽을 때에 아무 보장도 받지 못하지만 하나님께 미친 사람은 그리스도의 심판석에서 상이 준비된 것을 믿는 사람이야말로 정신이 온전한 사람인 것입니다.

        그러면 하나님의 자녀들이 보는 것으로 행하지 않고 믿음으로 행하는 삶을 살아야 하게 되었는지 하나님의 말씀을 통하여 자세하게 살펴보는 일이야말로 지혜로운 일이 될 것입니다.

      하나님께서 자신의 형상대로 또 자신의 모양대로 사람을 창조하셨을 때만 해도 첫 사람인 아담과 이브는 에덴 동산에서 하나님을 눈으로 보면서 살았습니다. 다시 말해서 그들은 하나님을 만나는 믿음이 필요 없었으며 그들은 하나님과 함께 지상 낙원에서 행복하게 살았던 것입니다. 그러나 뱀인 마귀의 유혹으로 그들이 죄를 지었을 때 주 하나님께서는 에덴의 동산에서 그들을 내보내시고 그가 취함을 받은 흙인 땅을 갈게 하셨습니다. 그리고 그들을 에덴으로부터 쫓아내시고 에덴의 동산 동편에 그룹들과 두루 도는 불타는 칼을 놓아 생명 나무의 길을 지키게 하셨습니다(창 3:23,24). 하나님께서는 그들이 죄를 지은 상태로 생명 나무의 열매를 먹음으로써 영원히 구원받을 수 없는 불행을 겪지 않게 하기 위하여 그들을 쫓아내셨던 것입니다. 또한 그들을 쫓내시기 전에 미래에 하나님 자신이 여인의 씨로 육신을 입고 나타나셔서 뱀의 머리를 부술 것이라고 먼저 뱀에게 사형선고를 내리셨습니다(창 3;15, 요일 3:8, 히 2:14).

        아담과 이브가 에덴에서 쫓겨난 후 육천 년이 지나도록 어느누구도 하나님을 볼 수 없는 신세가 되었습니다. 다만 하나님의 독생자로 이 땅에 태어나신 주 예수 그리스도께서 세상 죄를 제거하시고 죄와 사망의 권세 잡은 자 마귀를 불못으로 던져 영원히 심판하시기 전에는 하나님의 얼굴을 볼 수 없게 된 것입니다. 에덴에서 쫓겨난 아담의 후손들이 하나님을 다시 볼 수 있는 은혜를 알게 하시기 위하여 하나님께서는 주의 천사를 통하여 그리고 그의 선지자들을 통하여 심지어는 하나님께서 에수라는 이름으로 사람이 되셔서 말씀하셨으며, 그리고 그후 그의 사도들을 통하여 더 자세하게 말씀하셨습니다.

        하나님께서 육신으로 나타나신 예수께서 “성경을 상고하라. 이는 너희가 성경에 영생이 있다고 생각함이니, 그 성경은 나에 관하여 증거하고 있음이라. 너희는 생명을 얻으려고 내게 오기를 원치 아니하는도다.”(요 5:39,40) 주님께서 자신을 믿지 않는 유대인들에게 하신 이 말씀 안에 있는 엄청난 진리를 그들이 깨달았더라면 그분을 십자가에 못박지는 않았을 것입니다. 예수께서는 자신이 에덴 동산에서 그들의 조상 아담과 이브와 함께 거니시던 주 여호와 하나님이시며 그들에게 생명나무를 통하여 생명을 주셨던 분이라는 것입니다. 그러나 그들은 성경을 상고하지 않았고 결국은 그분을 알아보지도 못하고 생명도 받지 못했던 것입니다.

        첫 사람이 범죄한 이후부터 모두가 모태에서 죄악 중에 잉태됨으로써 하나님을 보기만 하면 죽음을 면할 수 없는 비참한 신세가 되었던 것입니다. 구약시대에 하나님께서는 자신의 말씀을 전하시기 위해 주의 천사를 보내시어 자신이 직접 나타나신 것처럼 특별한 사명을 받은 사람들에게 말씀하셨습니다.

        모세가 양을 치고 있을 때 주의 천사가 가시덤불 가운데서 나온 불꽃 속에서 그에게 나타나셨습니다. 가시덤불이 불로 타나 가시덤불은 소멸되지 않았습니다. 모세가 두려워 떨고 그의 얼굴을 가리고 있을 때에 하나님께서 가시덤불 가운데서 그의 이름을 불렀습니다(출 3:1-6). 그후에 주 하나님께서는 여호수아에게도 나타나셔서 말씀하셨습니다. 또한 재판관들에게도 나타나셨습니다. 재판관 기드온에게 주의 천사가 나타났습니다. 그때 그는 주의 천사에게 “슬프도소이다. 오 주 하나님이여! 이는 내가 주의 천사를 대면하여 보았음이니이다.”라고 말했을 때 주께서 그에게 “네게 화평이 있으라. 두려워 말라. 네가 죽지 아니하리라.” 말씀하셨고 기드온이 그곳에 제단을 쌓고 그것을 여호와샬롬이라 하였습니다(판 6:21-24).

        선지자 이사야도 그가 하나님의 성전에 이끌려올라가서 스랍들을 보았을 때 그는 큰 두려움 가운데 “내게 화로다! 내가 끊어졌도다. 이는 내가 불결한 입술을 가진 사람이며, 내가 불결한 입술을 가진 백성 가운데 거하면서 내 눈으로 왕, 곧 만군의 주를 뵈었음이라.” 말했을 때 스랍 중 하나가 제단에서 핀 숯을 집게로 집어 그 손을 가지고 내게로 날아와서 그것을 내 입에 대며 말하기를 “보라, 이것이 네 입술에 닿았으니 네 죄악이 제하여졌고 네 죄가 깨끗하게 되었도다.”라고 증거했습니다(사 6:1-7). 짧은 시간에 주의 천사를 만난 사람들에 대하여 일일히 다 열거하려면 시간이 부족할 것입니다.

        사울이 그리스도인들을 체포하기 위하여 다마스커스에 가까이 왔을 때 갑자기 하늘로부터 한 줄기 빛이 그를 둘러 비추었을 때 그가 땅에 엎드려 영광받으신 주 하나님이신 예수께서 하시는 말씀을 듣는 순간 그의 눈이 멀었습니다. 그가 주님의 얼굴을 보았다면 죽었을 것이나 주님께서는 그의 눈을 감기게 하셔서 보지 못하게 했던 것입니다(행 9:1-9). 사도 요한은 주님께서 세상에 계실 때 가장 사랑 받던 제자로 항상 주님의 무릎에 기대어 말씀을 듣던 사람이었지만, 그가 밧모섬에 유배 중에 있을 때 영광받으신 주님께서 나타나셨을 때 “내가 그를 보자 죽은 것처럼 그의 발 앞에 엎드러지니, 그가 내게 오른손을 얹고 나에게 말씀하시니라. 두려워 말라. 나는 처음과 마지막이요 나는 살아있는 자며, 죽은 자였으나, 보라, 영원무궁토록 살아 있노라. 아멘. 또한 내가 지옥과 사망의 열쇠들을 가졌노라.”(계 1:17-18)하신 주님의 말씀을 들은대로 증거했습니다.

        그렇습니다. 첫 사람이 범죄하여 에덴에서 쫓겨난 후 육천 년 동안 어느누구도 하나님을 육체 안에서 볼 수 없게 된 것입니다. 그러나 하나님께서는 자신이 처녀의 몸으로부터 예수라는 이름으로 이 세상에 태어나셔서 세상 죄를 제거하시기 위하여 죽으시고 부활하심으로써 그를 믿는 사람은 누구나 자신의 피를 통하여 모든 죄들을 제거하시고 생명의 성령을 주셔서 더 이상 아담의 자손이 아닌 하나님의 아들들로 입양하신 것입니다. 옛날 에덴 동산에서 죄를 짓기 전에 하나님의 아들로서 하나님과 함께 살았던 아담처럼 죄의 몸을 벗는 순간 온전한 하나님의 형상으로 회복되어 주님과 영원히 함께 살 수 있도록 은혜를 주신 것입니다. 이처럼 세상을 사랑하셔서 그의 독생자를 통해 모든 사람들이 영원토록 그의 자녀들과 함께 사는 날을 바라보시면서 자신의 말씀을 통하여 지금도 구원받으라고 말씀하시고 있는 것입니다. 이 하나님의 구원계획을 알고 믿어 생명을 받은 사람은 누구나 이 복음을 전할 의무가 있습니다. 전하지 않는 사람은 지옥으로 떨어지는 죄인들을 보고 방관하는 죄를 짓는 것입니다. 다시 한 번 믿음 가운데 행하면서 그리스도의 심판석에서 받을 상을 바라보며 생명에 의해 삼킨 바되는 능력을 받아 독수리가 하늘로 치솟는 새 힘으로 무장하여야 하는 것입니다. 지금은 우리가 유리를 통해 희미하게 보나 그때에는 얼굴과 얼굴을 마주 보게 될 것입니다(고전 13:12). 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 17:1-15

Main scripture: 2Corinthians 5:1-13

Subject: A building of God, eternal in heavens that is seen for them that walk by faith.

        Apostle Paul testified unto the saints of Corinthian church saying, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” When they believe the words of God, they could see in the Spirit the New Jerusalem of which each dimension is 1,500 miles, a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in heavens prepared for the children of God(Rev. 21:16). He also testified, the building of God is the place for them that put on the new glorious body putting of the flesh, mortal and corruptible in the day of Rapture. Of this house in heavens, Jesus also testified unto his disciples, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”(John 14:1-3)

        Of the life by faith, Apostle Paul testified, the children of God groan earnestly in the earth to be clothed upon with the house which is from heaven. And even though we groan in pain dwelling in the flesh as earthly house of this tabernacle, we not desire to put off sinful body to die, but we want to have the power of life swallow up death. Even though we are far away form the Lord in heaven physically, we rather are confident as if we are with him spiritually. Of the reason how we feel like that is that we cannot see with our physical eyes, but we can see clearly with the eyes of faith.

        We are willing to leave from the body not to groan living in the mortal body, but we are looking forward the judgment seat of Christ so that we labor, that whether present or absent, we may be accepted of the Lord Jesus to be rewarded by him. King Agrippa spoke unto Apostle Paul, “Paul, thou art beside thyself!”; he though Paul must be crazy, because he never care anything but pleasing God. But he spoke unto the Corinthians, whether we be besides ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for them. In this wicked world, there is few that is not crazy for something; unless they have zeal for something, they are to lose passion of life. But, if they follow something or someone with zeal, they cannot have any security after death; but someone that is crazy for God is the very one that is sober, for he shall be rewarded at the judgment seat of Christ after death.

        Then, we are going to search the scriptures to see how the children of God are walking by faith, not by sight to find out wisdom:

        When God made man in his image as well as in his likeness, Adam and Eve was dwelling in the Mount Eden with God face to face. In other word, they didn’t need any faith to see God, for they had already been with God happily in the Eden in the earth. But when they sinned against God deceived by the temptation of the serpent, God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. And God drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life (Gen. 3:23,24). God drove him so that he might not eat the tree of life with sin to live separated from God forever not having chance to receive the remission of sin. And before God drove him out of the garden of Eden, he sentenced to death unto the serpent to be executed by the seed of woman that is Jesus Christ (Gen. 3:15, 1John 3:8, Heb. 2:14).

        No one could have seen God for six thousand years since Adam and Eve were driven out of Eden. No one can see God unless the Lord Jesus Christ born as the only begotten So of God takes away the sin of the world, and cast the devil that has the power of sin and death into the lake of fire unto eternal judgment. To have the seeds of Adam to know the grace of God for them to see God again, the LORD God had sent the angel of the LORD, and his prophets, and finally God himself became a man to speak unto men, and later God testified in details of the grace through the Apostles.

        God manifested in flesh in the name of Jesus spoke unto the Jews,

“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”(John 5:39,40)

If the Jews had understood the great truth in his words, they might not crucified Jesus. Jesus testified of himself as the LORD Jehovah who walked with Adam and Eve, their father, and gave them life through the tree of life. But, unfortunately they failed to search the scriptures so that they couldn’t recognize him, and failed to receive life eternal.

        Since the first man sinned, everyone has been born in sin from the womb of mother; so no one can see God not avoiding death upon see the face of God. In the days of old testament, God sent the angel of the LORD to speak special people with special mission.

        When Moses kept the flock of sheep, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in the flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. The bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, when he was trembling hiding his face (Ex. 3:1-6). Afterwards, the LORD God appeared unto Joshua, and spoke unto him. He also appeared unto the judges. The angel of the LORD appeared the judge, Gideon. Then, he said unto the angel of the LORD

“Alas, O Lord God! for because I have seen an angel of the Lord face to face.” Then the LORD God spoke unto him, “Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.” Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom (Judge 6:21-24)

        Prophet was caught up into the temple of God in heaven, and he saw the seraphim, and he spoke with fear for his eyes saw the King, the LORD of hosts, “Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.” Then one of seraphims flew unto him, having a live coal in his hand, and he laid it upon his mouth, and said, “Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.”(Isa. 6:1-7).

It must be not enough time to lists of man that saw the angel of the LORD.

        When Saul came near Damascus to arrest Christians, and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven; and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him. he couldn’t see at all upon seeing the light from heaven. If he had seen the face of the Lord Jesus, he must have been dead. The Lord Jesus protected him from death making his eyes blinded so that he could see him (Acts 9:1-9).

        Apostle John was the most beloved disciple; he used to hear the word of the Lord Jesus leaning his knee. But Jesus appeared with glory unto him at the isle of Patmos, he testified of seeing the Lord Jesus,

“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”(Rev. 1:17,18)

        Yea! Since the first man sinned, and cast out of the garden of Eden, no one has not seen God in flesh for six thousand years. But God was born of the womb of the virgin, and died for sinners to take away the sin of the world on the cross, and rose again from the dead. And he took away the sins of believers in him through his blood, and gave the life eternal through the Spirit of life, and adopted them as the sons of God no more the sons of Adam anymore. As Adam dwelled with God in the garden of Eden as a son of God before he sinned, we shall be restored as the image of God to live with God forever as Adam did. God so love the world, and sent his only begotten Son, and God is looking forward eternal dwelling with believers; God is still speaking the day of salvation through his words. Whosoever know the plan of salvation of God, and believed, and received the life eternal is responsible for preaching the gospel. Whosoever is lazy to preach the gospel is sinning because he remains indifference of souls going on the way to hell. Let us walk by faith, and look forward the reward at the judgment seat of Christ, and be armed with new strength swallowed up with life as eagle mounting up to heaven. Now we see through a glass darkly, but then we shall see the Lord face to face. Amen! Hallelujah!
