금주의 묵상: 시편11:1-7

본문: 갈라디아서 3:6-18

제목: 미리 아신 자를 부르시는 하나님

          하나님께서는 에녹을 미리 아시고 삼백 년 동안 그와 함께 동행하시다가 그를 하늘로 데려가셨습니다(창 5:21-24). 또한 하나님께서 이 세상을 물로 심판하시기로 작정하신 후에 자신의 말씀을 믿고 120년 동안 방주를 지을 사람이 누구인지 미리 아시고 하나님의 눈에서 은혜를 찾았던 노아를 부르시고 그에게 방주를 지으라는 말씀을 주시고 자신의 뜻을 이루셨습니다(창 6:5-8).

            우리는 본문 말씀에서 또 한 사람을 부르시고 말씀하신 것을 볼 수 있습니다. 하나님께서는 자신의 독생자를 보내셔서 모든 민족들을 죄와 사망과 저주로부터 구원하시어 영원한 생명을 주시기로 작정하시고 자신의 말씀을 믿고 행할 사람 아브람을 부르셨습니다:

“너는 네 고향과 네 친족과 네 아비의 집을 떠나 내가 네게 보여줄 땅으로 가라. 내가 너로 큰 민족을 이루게 할 것이며 네게 복을 주고 네 이름을 위대하게 하리니, 너는 복이 되리라. 너를 축복하는 자들에게 내가 복을 주고 너를 저주하는 자를 저주하리라. 네 안에서 땅의 모든 족속들이 복을 받을 것이라.”(창 12:1-3)

이 말씀을 들은 아브람은 주께서 말씀하셨던 대로 칠십오세에 떠났습니다.

              그후 오랜 세월이 흘러서 그가 늙어 사람의 생각으로 자식을 생산할 수 없는 때가 되었을 때 그에게 환상 중에 나타나신 하나님께서 말씀으로 시 한 번 약속을 확정하셨습니다:

“이제 하늘을 쳐다보고 별들을 셀 수 있다면 그 별들을 세어 보아라. 너의 씨가 이와 같으리라.”(창 15:5)

이때에도 아브람은 하나님의 말씀을 의심하지 않고 하나님을 믿었을 때 그것을 그에게 의로 여기셨습니다 (창 15:6).

                또 한번 오랜 세월이 흐른 후 그가 구십구 세가 되었을 때 하나님께서는 다시 한 번 그와 언약을 세우시며 말씀하셨습니다:

“나는 전능한 하나님이라. 내 앞에서 행하라. 그리고 너는 완전하라. 내가 나와 너 사이에 내 언약을 세우며, 너를 심히 번성케 하리라….보라 내가 너와 더불어 내 언약을 세우노니, 너는 많은 민족들의 아비가 되리라. 네 이름을 더 이상 아브람이라 부르지 말고, 네 이름을 아브라함이라 하리니, 이는 내가 너를 많은 민족들의 아비가 되게 하였음이라. 내가 너를 심히 다산하게 하리니, 내가 네게서 민족들을 이루며, 네게서 왕들이 나오게 하리라. 내가 너와 네 뒤에 올 씨 사이에 대대로 언약을 세우리니, 영원한 언약을 삼고 너와 네 씨의 하나님이 되리라.”(창 171-8)

           하나님께서는 마귀가 세상에 가져온 죄로 인하여 사망과 저주 가운데 있는 많은 민족들을 구원하시기 위하여 자신의 독생자를 예수라는 이름으로 아브라함의 자손으로 이 땅에 보내시기로 작정하셨습니다. 또한 모든 율법의 죄들과 그로 인한 저주로 부터 많은 사람들을 구원하시기 위하여 그의 독생자로 하여금 모든 사람들을 위하여 저주받은 나무(십자가)에 달리게 하셔서 그를 믿는 모든 사람들을 저주로부터 구속하실 계획을 세우셨던 것입니다. 하나님께서 아브라함에게 그의 씨라고 말씀하셨을 때 씨들이라 말씀하시지 않고 씨라고 말씀하심으로써 그가 바로 한 사람 그리스도 예수라고 말씀하셨던 것입니다. 또한 유대인이나 이방인이나 누구든지 그를 믿는 모든 사람에게 성령을 주심으로써 영원한 생명을 주시기로 작정하셨던 것입니다.

            하나님께서는 아브람이 자신의 말씀을 끝까지 믿고 의심치 않을 것을 미리 아시고 그를 부르셨던 것입니다. 성령께서는 이 사실에 대하여 사도 바울을 통하여 증거하셨습니다:

“그가 소망이 없는데도 소망 가운데서 믿었으니 ‘네 씨가 그렇게 되리라.’ 고 말씀하신 대로 많은 민족들의 아비가 되게 하려 하심이라. 그가 믿음이 약해지지 아니하여 약 백 살이 되고서도 자기 몸이 이제 죽은 것으로 여기지 아니하였고 또 사라의 태도 죽은 것으로 생각지 아니하였느니라. 그는 믿음 없음으로 인하여 하나님의 약속을 의심하지 아니하였고 오히려 믿음에 견고하여져서 하나님께 영광을 돌리며 약속하신 그것을 또한 이루실 것이라고 확신하였느니라. 그러므로 그에게는 믿음이 의로 여겨졌느니라. 이제 그에게 의로 여겨졌다고 기록된 것은 아브라함만을 위한 것이 아니요, 의롭다고 여김을 우리들 때문이기도 하니 곧 예수 우리 주를 죽은 자들로부터 살리신 그분을 믿는 자들이라. 예수께서는 우리의 범죄함을 인하여 드려지셨고 우리의 의롭게 하심을 위하여 다시 일으켜지셨느니라.”(롬 4:18-25)

             그렇습니다. 이 세상에 태어난 모든 사람은 소망이 없는 삶을 살고 있는 것입니다. 칠팔십 년을 살고 나면 허무하게 죽어 어디로 가는지도 모르면서 사라지게 되어 있는 것입니다. 태어난 후 자라가면서 입을 열고 움직일 때마다 짓는 것은 죄밖에 없고 여러가지 저주들로 인해 사는 것이 사는 것이 아니고 사망 그 자체인 삶을 살 수밖에 없는 것입니다. 지금도 하나님께서는 예수 그리스도께서 모든 율법의 죄들과 그로 인한 모든 저주들과 사망을 친히 자신의 몸에 받으시고 고난 받으시고 저주의 십자가에서 참혹하게 죽으신 것이 자신 때문이라고 믿을 사람들을 미리 아시고 지금도 그들을 부르시고 있는 것입니다. 또한 그분께서 다시 부활하신 것이 자신을 의롭게 하시고 성령을 통하여 영원한 생명을 주시는 하나님의 말씀을 믿을 사람들을 미리 아시고 부르셔서 믿음의 선물을 주시고 의롭게 하셔서 영원한 생명을 주시는 것입니다. 하나님께서 복이라고 말씀하신 것은 이 세상의 썩어질 육신적인 복을 말씀하시는 것이 아니라 영원히 죽지 않는 생명을 말씀하신 것입니다.

             하나님께서 자신의 독생자를 믿어 영원한 생명을 주시는 것은 생명을 받은 자들을 위한 그분의 계획을 이루시기 위한 것입니다. 사도 바울은 이에 대하여 증거했습니다:

그분께서는 미리 아신 자들을 자기 아들의 형상과 일치하게 하시려고 또한 예정하셨으니 이는 그를 많은 형제 가운데서 첫태생이 되게 하려 하심이니라. 그리하여 예정하신 이들을 또한 부르시고 부르신 이들을 의롭게 하시고 의롭게 하신 이들을 또한 영화롭게 하셨느니라.”(롬 8:29,30)

             그렇습니다! 하나님께서는 그의 독생자 예수 그리스도를 믿는 사람들에게 아들의 영이신 성령을 주셔서 자신의 양자들로 삼으시는 것입니다. 태초에 하나님의 말씀이시며 하나님이신 주 예수 그리스도를 성령을 통하여 사람으로 태어나게 하신 하나님께서는 동일한 성령을 통하여 많은 아들들을 태어나게 태어나게 하심으로써 그의 독생자를 성령으로 태어난 첫태생이 되게 하신 것입니다. 이것이야말로 우리가 상상할 수 없는 은혜인 것입니다.

             글로 기록된 하나님의 말씀이 없었던 때에는 하나님께서 꿈이나 환상 가운데서 말씀하셨습니다. 그러나 하나님의 말씀이 66권의 책으로 기록되어 우리 모두의 손에 들려져 있으며 하나님께서는 하나님의 자녀들에게 기록된 말씀을 통하여 지금도 여전히 말씀하시고 있는 것입니다. 지금 이 시대에도 하나님께서는 하나님의 자녀들의 마음을 살피시면서 자신의 뜻을 이루시는 데 합당한 마음을 가진 사람들을 찾고 계시는 것입니다. 다시 말해서, 하나님께서 말씀만 하시면 모든 것을 제쳐놓고 믿음으로 행할 사람들을 찾고 계시는 것입니다.

              이 사실에 대하여 사도 바울이 증거했습니다:

“그러므로 너희는 믿음으로 난 사람들이 아브라함의 자손임을 알라. 성경은 하나님께서 이방인들을 믿음으로 말미암아 의롭게 하실 것을 미리 보고 먼저 아브라함에게 복음을 전파하기를 ‘네 안에서 모든 민족이 복을 받으리라.’고 하였느니라. 그러므로 믿음으로 난 사람들은 믿음이 있는 아브라함과 더불어 복을 받느니라.”(갈 3:7-9)

               그렇습니다!지금 이 말씀을 듣고 있는 이 시간에도 하나님께서는 성령을 통하여 각자의 마음을 살피고 계시는 것입니다. 옛날 에녹과 노아와 아브라함을 부르시고 이삭과 야곱을 부르시고 요셉을 부르시고 모세를 부르시고 다윗을 부르시고 선지자들을 부르시고 사도들을 부르시고 수많은 구름같은 사람들을 부르셔서 자신의 일을 하게 하셨습니다. 뿐만 아니라 사마리아 수가 성에 있는 한 여인을 부르시고 세리들을 부르시고 많은 행악자들을 부르셨던 하나님께서는 지금 이 순간에도 우리 각자의 마음을 살피시고 이 시간에 하나님의 말씀에 의심없이 순종하여 끝까지 믿음을 지킬 재목들을 찾고 계시는 것입니다. 우리가 하나님의 말씀들을 세밀하게 공부하고 연구해야 하는 것은 말씀 안에서 말씀하시는 주님의 음성을 듣고 순종함으로써 아브라함을 포함하여 수많은 주의 종들의 발자취를 따르게 하려 하시는 것입니다. 사도 바울은 그름같은 많은 증인들에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“그러므로 이처럼 많은 구름 같은 증인들이 또한 우리를 둘러싸고 있으니, 우리 또한 모든 무거운 것과 쉽게 에워싸는 죄를 벗어버리고, 인내로 우리 앞에 놓인 경주를 하자. 그리고 우리 믿음의 창시자요 완성자이신 예수를 바라보자. 그는 자기 앞에 놓인 즐거움을 위하여 십자가를 견디시고 수치를 개의치 아니하시더니 하나님의 보좌 오른편에 앉으셨느니라.”(히 12:1,2)

               그렇습니다! 모든 일을 마치고 하늘에서 쉬면서 우리를 격려하고 있는 수많은 믿음의 조상들이 받은 믿음의 결말을 듣고 힘을 내어야하며, 무엇보다도 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 바라보면서 그분께서 주시는 능력으로 모든 일을 하게 되는 것입니다. 주님께서 주시는 능력으로 우리 자신을 부인하고 자신의 십자가를 지고 주님을 따라갈 수 있는 것입니다. 주님의 형상으로 변화되는 그 날까지 그분의 오심을 앙망하면서 독수리같은 새 힘을 받아 승리의 삶을 살면서 영원토록 후회하지 않는 기쁨과 소망의 삶을 감사하면서 살아야 하는 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 11:1-7

Main scripture: Galatians 3:6-18

Subject: God calls them whom he foreknows

            The LORD God foreknew Enoch, and called him, and he walked with God for three hundred years; and God took him to heaven (Gen. 5:21-24). And after God planned to judge the world with flood, he called Noah foreknowing him to build the ark for 120 years. Noah found the grace in the eyes of God. Finally the LORD God fulfilled his will through Noah(Gen. 6:5-8).

           In the main scripture given to us today, the LORD God calls another man. The LORD God planned to send his only begotten Son to the world to deliver all nations from sin and death and curses, and to give them eternal life, and he called Abram foreknowing him as the one that believe him, and follow him until his will be done. The LORD God called him, and said unto him:

“Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”(Gen. 12:1-3)

Upon hearing the word of God, Abram departed as God said when he was seventy five years old.

              In the course of many years passed by, the LORD God appeared in a vision to confirm his covenant, and sais unto him when he was old enough so that no son could be given birth unto him at all in the view of man

“And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.”(Gen. 15:5)

Even though he was too old to have a son, he believed in the LORD without any doubt; the LORD counted it to him for righteousness (Gen. 15:5)

            After many years passed by again, the LORD God spoke unto him to establish the covenant with him, when he a=was ninety nine years old:

“I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”(Gen. 17:1-8)

           God had planned to send his only begotten Son to the world as the seed of Abraham to deliver many nations of people from death and curses that were brought forth by the sin brought by the Devil. And he made his Son he hanged on the cursed tree that is the cross for all men to save them from the curses of the law so that whosoever believes in him to be delivered from the curses. God spoke unto Abraham of his seed, not seeds; and the seed of Abraham is a man whose name is Jesus Christ so that whosoever whether Jews or Gentiles believes in him may receive the eternal life through the Holy Ghost.

            Foreknowing Abram to believe the words of the LORD God to the end without any doubt, he called him. The Holy Ghost testified of this through Apostle Paul:

“Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”(Rom. 4:18-25)

              Yeah! Whosoever born in the world is living with no hope without Jesus Christ. They are supposed to disappear after 70 or 80 years later in vain not knowing where they are going to after death. Whenever they open the mouth and move around, only sins are accumulated as well as curses unto death. Even now, God foreknow, and is calling them who know that Jesus Christ died miserably for them to redeem their sins of the law receiving the sins of the law on his body as well as all the curses and death. And God foreknows them that believe that Jesus Christ rose again form the dead to make them righteous, and to give them eternal life through the Holy Ghost; and he is calling them to give the gift of faith, and to give the life eternal through justification. The blessing of God is the eternal life that is not the corruptible carnal blessing in this world.

              God gives eternal life unto whom believe in his only begotten Son is to fulfill his plan for them. Apostle Paul testified of his plan for them:

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”(Rom. 8:29,30)

                Yeah! God is willing to adopt them that believe in Jesus Christ giving them the Holy Ghost that is the Spirit of his Son. God made his Son manifested in flesh through the Holy Ghost who was the Word in the beginning, and God himself to make his Son as the firstborn through giving birth many sons through the same Spirit. This is a amazing grace that we couldn’t imagine ourselves at all.

            God spoke unto men in the dream or vision, when there was no written words of God. But, now 66 books written of the words of God in our hands. God still is speaking unto the children of God through the written words of God. Even nowadays, God is searching the heart of his children to fine out right ones to fulfill his will. In other word, he is looking for someone that is willing to walk by faith whenever God speaks unto them.

              Apostle Paul testified of this:

“Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.”(Gal. 3:7-9)

             Yeah! Even in this moment when we are hearing this message, God is searching for our heart through the Holy Ghost. God called Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, and prophets and apostles as well as so great cloud of witnesses to fulfill his will. Not only them, but also Jesus called a woman in Samaria, and publicans as well as whores. God is still looking for someone who is dedicated to obey the words of God without any doubt, and to keep the faith until his will be done. The reason why we should search the scripture is for us to hear the voice of the Holy Ghost, and obey the words of God to follow the foot steps of the great cloud of the servants of God including Abraham. Apostle Paul testified of the grate cloud of witnesses:

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”(Heb. 12:1,2)

         Yeah! We have to be encouraged through hearing the end of the ancestors of faith who are still encouraging us resting in heaven. Above all, we have to look unto Jesus Christ so that we may be able to do all things through him. Then we are able to deny ourselves, and take up our cross to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Until the day when we are changed as Christ Jesus, we are supposed to wait upon the Lord to receive the new strength as eagle, and have victorious life with joy and hope with thanksgiving. Amen! Hallelujah!
