금주의 묵상: 시편 13:1-6

본문: 사무엘상 16:1-13

제목: 성령으로 충만한 자의 변화된 삶과 받을 영광

         하나님께서 이스라엘의 첫 번째 왕으로 기름부으셨던 사울 왕이 하나님의 말씀에 불순종하였을 때 그로부터 하나님의 영이 떠나고 하나님께서 보내신 악령이 그를 괴롭히게 되었습니다. 하나님께서 사울 왕을 폐하시기로 정하시고 다른 사람에게 이스라엘 왕이 되게 하시려고 사무엘을 부르셔서 이새의 아들 다윗에게 기름 붓게 하셨습니다. 그때에 주 하나님의 영이 다윗에게 임하자마자 사울에게는 악령이 임했던 것입니다.

           주 하나님께서는 이새의 막내 아들 다윗을 왕이 되게 하시려고 계획하셔서 사무엘을 이새의 집으로 보내셔서 그의 아들들을 성결케 하여 그들을 희생제에 청하라고 명했습니다. 이새는 다윗을 제외한 일곱 아들들만 오게 했습니다. 그 당시 다윗은 이새의 안 중에도 없었던 것입니다. 사무엘은 일곱 아들들이 한 사람씩 지나가면서 하나님께서 정하신 사람이 누군지 알고자 했으나 그들 중 어느누구에게도 기름 붓지 말라는 하나님의 음성을 듣고 또 다른 아들이 있느냐고 사무엘이 물었을 때 비로소 막내 아들 다윗을 기억하면서 “아직 막내가 있으니, 보소서 그가 양을 지키나이다.”라고 말했습니다. 그가 올 때까지 우리가 앉지도 아니할 것이라는 사무엘의 말에 마침내 다윗을 데려왔을 때 그가 혈색이 좋고 용모가 준수할 뿐만 아니라 보기에도 좋았습니다. 비롯 그의 아버지는 다윗의 형들에게서만 준수하고 용모가 좋은 것을 보았지만 미쳐 다윗에게서는 볼 수 없었던 것입니다. 다윗은 항상 들판에서 그의 아버지의 양 몇마리를 치기 위하여 최선을 다하고 있었던 것입니다.

             이때 주께서 사무엘에게 “일어나 그에게 기름을 부으라. 이 사람이 그임이라.”고 말씀하셨습니다. 사무엘이 그에게 기름을 붓자마자 주의 영이 그날로부터 다윗에게 임하셨던 것입니다. 하나님께서는 이새의 첫째 아들 엘리압을 보고 “진실로 주의 기름부음 받은 이가 주 앞에 있도다.”라고 말하며 그에게 기름을 부으려할 때, 주께서 그에게 말씀하셨습니다: “그의 용모나 신장을 보지 말라. 내가 그를 버렸노라. 주가 보는 것은 사람이 보는 것과 같지 아니하나니, 사람은 외모를 보나 주는 마음을 보시느니라.”(삼상 16:7)

다윗이 기름부음을 받은 후에 이스라엘이 필리스티아인들과 싸우고 있을 때 필리스티아인 골리앗을 두려워하여 아무도 그와 싸우기 위하여 나아가는 자가 없었었습니다. 그때 사울이 다윗에게 말하기를 그가 젊고 또한 싸운 경험이 있는 전사도 아니기 때문에 그와 싸울 수 없다고 그의 청을 거절했습니다. 그러나 다윗은 사울에게 담대하게 말했습니다:

“왕의 종이 자기 아버지의 양을 지키는데, 사자와 곰이 와서 양무리에게서 새끼 양을 잡아가면, 내가 그를 따라가서 그를 치고 그 입에서 새끼를 건져내었으며, 그가 나를 향하여 일어나면 내가 그 수염을 잡아 쳐서 죽였나이다. 왕의 종이 사자와 곰도 죽였는데, 이 할례받지 않은 필리스티아인이 살아계신 하나님의 군대를 모독하는 것을 보았으니 그도 그들 중 하나같이 되리이다.”(삼상 17:34-36)

           그렇습니다! 다윗은 그리스도처럼 자신을 비워 종의 형체 같이 되어 아버지의 양들을 지키기 위하여 목숨을 다하여 충성했던 것입니다. 하나님께서는 몇 마리 되지 않는 아버지의 양들을 목숨을 다하여 지키고 있는 다윗을 보셨던 것입니다. 이스라엘 백성들은 모두가 주 하나님의 양들이었습니다. 하나님께서는 자신의 목숨을 다하여 그분의 양들을 지킬 왕을 찾고 계셨던 것입니다.

시편 기자인 아삽은 “오 하나님이여, 어찌하여 주께서는 우리를 영원히 내버리시나이까? 어찌하여 주의 분노를 주의 초장인 양들에게 내뿜으시나이까?….오 주여, 우리 이웃들이 주를 비방한 그 비방을 그들의 품에 일곱 배로 갚으소서. 그리하시면 주의 백성이며 주의 초장의 양인 우리가 영원히 주께 감사할 것이며 우리가 주를 찬양함을 모든 세대에 전하리이다.”(시 74:1;79:12,13)라고 기도했습니다.

             다윗이 하나님의 기름부음을 받은 후 하나님께서 그와 함께 하심을 본 사울왕은 그때부터 그를 죽이려고 온갖 일을 행했습니다. 젊은 다윗이 주 하나님만 의지 하여 매끄러운 돌 하나로 거인 골리앗을 쳐죽였을 뿐만 아니라 그후에 필리스이인들과 전쟁할 때에도 다윗은 사울왕보다 훨씬 많은 필리시티아인들을 죽였습니다. “사울이 죽인 자는 수천이요, 다윗이 죽인 자는 수만이라.”(삼상 18:7)는 여인들의 노래를 들으면서 그때부터 사울은 그를 죽이려고 계획했던 것입니다.

             사울왕이 그를 죽이려 할 때마다 다윗은 하나님께 기도드리면서 하나님만 신뢰했습니다. 시편 여러 곳에 그의 기도가 나타나 있습니다. 그는 그 엄청난 사망의 골짜기를 지나면서 하나님께 간구하는 기도를 드렸습니다. 그는 엄청난 환난 가운데서도 끝까지 주님만을 신뢰했습니다: “오 주여, 언제까지 주께서 나를 잊으려 하시나이까? 영원히 하시려나이까? 언제까지 주께서는 주의 얼굴을 내게서 숨기려 하시나이까? 언제까지 내가 내 혼과 의논해야 하며 날마다 내 마음에 슬픔을 지녀야 하리이까? 언제까지 내 원수가 나를 누루고 의기양양하겠나이까? 오, 주 나의 하나님이여, 내게 유념하시고 말을 들어주소서. 나의 눈을 밝히셔서 나로 죽음의 잠을 자기 않게 하소서. 내 원수로 ‘내가 그를 이겼노라.’ 하지 않게 하시며 내가 흔들릴 때에 나를 괴롭히는 자들로 기뻐하지 않게 하소서. 그러나 내가 주의 자비를 신뢰하였사오니 내 마음이 주를 찬송하리니 이는 주께서 나를 후대하셨기 때문이니이다.”(시 13:1-6)

                주 예수 그리스도께서 우리 죄들로 인하여 죽으시고 장사되셨다가 성경대로 부활하신 후 오순절에 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 성령께서 이 땅에 오신 후부터 지금까지 하나님께서는 성령으로 기름부으시고자 하는 사람들을 찾고 계신 것입니다. 구약 시대에 기름부음을 받고 이스라엘을 통치하는 왕으로 삼으셨던 하나님께서 지금은 앞으로 그리스도의의 왕국이 이 땅에 임할 때에 그리스도와 함께 통치할 왕들을 찾고 계시는 것입니다. 그때나 지금이나 하나님께서는 사람의 외모를 보시지 않으시며 마음 속을 살피시는 것입니다. 그 옛날 홀로 외로히 아비의 양들을 밤이나 낮이나 목숨을 다하여 돌보던 다윗을 그의 아버지나 형들은 눈여겨 보지 않았지만 오직 하나님께서만 그의 마음 속을 들여다 보시다가 때가 되었을 때 그를 불러 기름을 부으시고 하나님의 양떼들인 이스라엘 백성들을 돌보시게 하셨던 것입니다.

             성령을 통하여 이 사실을 깨달은 사도 바울은 오늘날 성령으로 기름부음을 받아 거듭난 사람들, 즉 그리스도께서 기름부음 받으신 것처럼 하나님의 영으로 기름부음 받은 그리스도인들에 대하여 증거했습니다: “그분께서는 미리 아신 자들을 자기 아들의 형상과 일치하게 하시려고 또한 예정하셨으니 이는 그를 많은 형제들 가운데서 첫태생이 되게 하려 하심이니라. 그리하여 예정하신 이들을 또한 부르시고 부르신 이들을 또한 의롭게 하시고 의롭게 하신 이들을 또한 영화롭게 하셨느니라. 그렇다면 이 일에 대하여 우리가 무슨 말을 하리요? 하나님께서 우리를 위하신다면 누가 우리를 대적하리요? 자기 아들을 아끼지 아니하시고 우리 모든 사람을 위하여 내어주신 분이 어찌 그 아들과 함께 또한 모든 것을 값없이 주시지 아니하겠느냐?”(롬 8:29-32)

             그렇습니다. 성령으로 다시 태어난 하나님의 자녀들은 의롭게 될 뿐만 아니라 영화롭게 하실 것입니다. 영화롭게 하신다는 것은 이 세상에서 고난 받으시고 죽으시고 부활하신 주님께서 영광 받으실 그 날, 즉 그분의 왕국에서 그분과 함께 영광스럽게 될 것을 말씀하신 것입니다. 사도 바울은 이에 대하여 더 구체적으로 증거했습니다:

성령이 친히 우리의 영과 함께 우리가 하나님의 자녀들임을 증거하시거니와 자녀이면 또한 상속자들이요, 그리스도와 함께 한 공동 상속자들이니 우리가 그와 함께 고난을 받은 것은 함께 영광도 받게 하려 함이라. 이는 현재의 고난들이 우리에게 나타나게 될 영광에 감히 비교되지 못한다고 내가 여기기 때문이라.”(롬 8:16-18)

               옛날 다윗이 사울로부터 쉴 새 없이 고난을 받은 것처럼 오늘날에도 성령으로 거듭난 하나님의 자녀들은 이 세상을 떠나는 날까지 고난을 받을 수밖에 없는 것입니다. 이 세상은 적그리스도의 영이 지배하고 있기 때문입니다. 엣날 다윗에게 임했던 영은 성령, 즉 그리스도의 영이었으며, 사울에게 임했던 악령은 적그리스도의 영이었습니다. 그러므로 성령으로 기름부음을 받아 왕같은 제사장이 될 하나님의 자녀들이 이 소망을 굳게 붙잡을 때 모든 환난을 이길 수 있는 것입니다, 평생 예수 그리스도의 뒤를 쫓으며 모든 고난 가운데 달려갈 길을 달리며 믿음을 지켰던 사도 바울의 고백 속에서 우리는 우리가 어떤 삶을 살아야 하는지 깨달아야 할 것입니다:

“그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭게 되었으니 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 화평을 갖느니라. 또 그분으로 인하여 우리가 서 있는 이 은혜 안에 믿음으로 나아가며 하나님의 영광의 소망 안에서 즐거워하느니라. 이뿐만 아니라 우리가 환난 중에서도 즐거워하나니 환난은 인내를 이루고 인내는 연단을, 연단은 소망을 이루는 줄 앎이라. 소망이 부끄럽지 않은 것은 우리에게 주신 성령에 의하여 하나님의 사랑이 우리 마음 속에 부어졌기 때문이라.”(롬 5:1-5)

           하나님의 자녀들이 악한 영이 지배하는 세상에 살면서 고난과 박해를 받을 때마다 옛날 다윗이나 선지자들이나 사도들 그리고 수많은 옛 성도들이 하나님께 간구하며 기도할 때마다 성령을 부어주신 것처럼, 우리 또한 성령 안에서 풍성하게 주시는 하나님의 사랑으로 충만하게 되어 모든 약함과 모욕과 궁핍과 박해와 곤경을 이길뿐만 아니라 앞으로 나타날 영광을 바라보면서 우리에게 영광을 주시는 그리스도를 위하여 기뻐할 수 있는 것입니다. 고난 가운데 우리에게 주시는 것은 바로 성령충만인 것입니다. 성령충만은 바로 사랑충만으로 나타나게 되는 것입니다. 다시 한 번 사도 바울의 간증을 들어봅니다:

“지극히 위대한 계시들의 풍성함으로 인하여 내가 자고하지 않도록 육체에 한 가시, 즉 사탄의 사자를 내게 주셨으니 그가 나를 쳐서 자고하지 못하게 하려 함이라. 이를 위하여 세 번이나 그것을 내게서 제거해 달라고 주께 간구하였는데 주께서 내게 말씀하시기를 ‘내 은혜가 네게 충분하도다. 이는 내 능력이 약한데서 온전하게 됨이니라.’고 하셨느니라. 그러므로 내가 오히려 매우 기쁘게 나의 약한 것들을 자랑하리니 이는 그리스도의 능력이 내게 거하게 하려 함이라. 그러므로 내가 내가 그리스도를 위하여 약한 것들과 모욕과 궁핍과 박해와 곤경을 기뻐하노니 이는 내가 약할 때 곧 내가 강하기 때문이라.”(고후 12:7-10) 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: psalms 13:1-6

Subject: Changed life and the glory for them that are filled with the Holy Ghost

                 When Saul, the anointed as the first king of Israel disobeyed the word of God, the Spirit of God departed from him, and a evil spirit from the LORD trouble him. The LORD God decided to let him down from the throne of king, he sent Samuel to the house of Jesse so that he might anoint one of his sons as a new king of Israel. Samuel anointed David. Then, the Spirit of the LORD came upon David; a evil spirit came upon Saul at the same time.

                     The LORD God had chosen David, the smallest son of Jesse to be the second king of Israel. And God sent Samuel, and asked Jesse to be sanctified as well as his sons so that they might sacrifice unto the LORD. Jesse brought forth all his sons except David. David was not interested by his father to be considered for sanctification. When seven sons of Jesse were passing by Samuel, Samuel tried to find out who is the one to be anointed as the king. The LORD God spoke unto him not to anoint any one of them. Samuel asked Jesse whether any other son. Upon hearing from him, Jesse remembered David, Jesse said unto him saying, “There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep.”

Samuel asked Jesse to fetch David; for they will not sit down till he come hither. When David was brought in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, arise, anoint him; for this is he. Even though Jesse knew the beautiful countenance of other sons, and their goodness as well, but not of anything of David. David always stayed in the field to take of the sheep of his father in all his heart with all his life.

                    Then the LORD said unto Samuel saying, “Arise and anoint him for this is he.” As soon as he anointed him, the Spirit of the LORD came upon him.

When Samuel was trying to anoint Eliab saying, Surely the LORD’s anointed is before him, the LORD said unto him saying, “Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”(1Sam. 16:7)

After David was anointed, Israel was in the midst of the war with Philistine; the army of Israel feared to fight with Goliath so that no one volunteered to fight with him. David volunteered to Saul to fight against Goliath; but Saul refused his request saying, he is but a youth, and Goliath is a man of war from his youth. But David said unto Saul boldly saying, “Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:

And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.

Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.”(1Sam. 17:34-36)

                 Yeah! David emptied him as Christ to be the form of the servant; and did his best to take care of the sheep of his father with all his life. The LORD God had already seen David who was trying all the sheep of his father with all his life. The people of Israel were the sheep of the LORD God. God was looking for the one that shall keep his sheep with all his heart. Asaph, the wither of Psalms testified of the sheep of God:

“O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?… And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.

So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generation.”(Ps. 74:1; 79:12,13)

               Upon seeing the LORD God was with David after he was anointed, Saul tried to do all kind of evil against David. The young man killed Goliath only with a stone; and he killed Palestinians much more than Saul did. Women sang to praise David saying, “Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.”(1Sam. 18:7)

Thereafter, Saul planned to murder David.

                Whenever king Saul tried kill him, David prayed unto the LORD, and trust only in Him. Passing through the valley of death, he prayed unto the LORD. Even in the midst of severe tribulations, he trusted in the LORD to the end saying, “How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.”(Ps. 13:1-6)

               Since the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Ghost came to the earth after the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and buried and rose again the third day, God is looking for them that are to be anointed with the Holy Ghost. In the days of the Old Testament, the LORD God was looking for them that are to be anointed to the king of Israel; but nowadays in the days of the New Testament, he also looking for them that are to be the kings to reign with Christ in the Millennium kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ when he come back to the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. As the time of the Old Testament, God is still searching into he heart of man not the countenance at all. Even though the brothers of David never paid attention unto David when he was keeping his father’s sheep alone with all his life day and night, the LORD God was looking into his heart, and he called him when the time was come to anoint him so that he might keep the sheep of Israel.

                Apostle Paul testified of the Christians that are anointed by the Holy Ghost as Christ was anointed:

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to

be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”(Rom. 8:29-32)

                   Yeah! The children of God that are born again of the Holy Ghost are not only justified, but also glorified. To be glorified is to be glorified with the Lord Jesus Christ that suffered and died and rose again in the day when he establish his kingdom in the earth. Apostle Paul testified of this in more details:

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”(Rom. 8:16-18)

                   As Davis was attacked by Saul without ceasing, the children of God that are anointed with the Spirit of God are persecuted until the day of the departure from the earth; for the present world is now under the rule of the Antichrist. The evil spirit was the spirit of the Antichrist. Therefore, when the children of God that are anointed by the Spirit of God to be the royal priests hold fast this hope, they are able to overcome all kinds of tribulation. In the confession of Apostle Paul who had pursued after Christ, and ran the race to run completely, we are able to understand what kind of life to be run for each of us. He testified of the life to be taken by us:

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”(Rom. 5:1-5)

Whenever the children of God are persecuted living in the world under the rule of evil spirits; and David and prophets and the apostles and old saints prayed unto the Lord; the LORD God poured his Spirit on them. When we are abundant with the love of God in the Spirit of God, we are able to rejoice even in the midst of infirmities and reproaches and necessities and persecution and distresses for Christ’s sake. The thing that given unto us is the fullness of the Holy Ghost. The fullness of the Holy Ghost is manifested as the fullness of love. Let us listen to the testimony of Apostle Paul:

“And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”(2Cor. 12:7-10)
