금주의 묵상: 시편 39:1-13

본문: 마태복음 6:5-13

제목: 우리의 소망을 다가올 왕국에 두어야 하는 이유

         유대인의 왕으로 이 세상에 나타나신 예수께서 유대인들을 향하여 아주 중요한 말씀을 하셨습니다:

“무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까, 또 무엇을 입을까 하고 말하며 염려하지 말라. (이런 것들은 모두 이방인들이 구하는 것이라.) 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서는 너희에게 이런 모든 것이 팔요한 줄 아시느니라.. 오히려 너희는 먼저 하나님의 나라(왕국)와 그분의 의를 구하라. 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 주시리라. 그러므로 내일을 위하여 염려하지 말라. 내일 일은 내일 염려할 것이요, 그 날의 재앙은 그 날로 충분하니라.”(마 6:31-34)

           우리는 하나님의 말씀을 올바로 나누어서 공부해야 부끄럽지 않은 일꾼이 되는 것입니다(딤전 2:15). 예수께서 유대인들에게 이 말씀을 하신 때에는 이 세상에는 오직 두 가지 무리밖에 없었습니다. 유대인과 그 외에 모든 민족들인 이방인들이었습니다. 하나님께서 이스라엘 민족을 택하신 것은 그들에게 이 땅에 그들을 위한 왕국을 세우셔서 그들로 하여금 제사장 민족이 되게 하려 하셨던 것입니다. 선지자 이사야는 그들이 앞으로 제사장 민족이 될 것을 미리 보고 예언했습니다:

“그들은 오래 황폐하였던 곳을 세울 것이며 전날의 허물어진 것들을 일으키고, 또 황폐된 성읍들과 많은 세대들의 허물어진 곳들을 보수할 것이라. 타국인들이 일어나 너희 양떼를 먹일 것이요 , 외국인의 아들들이 너희의 경작자와 포도원 가꾸는 사람이 되리라. 그러나 너희는주의 제자상들이라 불릴 것이요, 사람들이 너희를 하나님의 일꾼들이라 부를 것이라. 너희가 이방인들의 제물을 먹을 것이며, 그들의 영광으로 너희가 너희 스스로를 자랑하리라.”(사 61:4-6)

             선지자 이사야를 통하여 이렇게 말씀하셨던 예수께서 유대인들에게 그들이 구해야 할 두 가지에 대하여 말씀하셨습니다. 첫째는 하나님의 나라(왕국), 그리고 하나님의 의라고 하셨습니다. 예수께서는 그들이 무엇을 위해 기도해야 할 것에 대하여 말씀하실 때 앞으로 그들이 이방인들 가운데 하나님의 제사장 민족이 되는 것에 대하여 기도하라고 미리 말씀하셨던 것입니다:

“너희는 기도할 때에 이교도들이 하는 것처럼 헛된 반복을 하지 말라. 이는 그들이 말을 많이 하여야 들으실 줄로 생각함이라. 그러므로 너희는 그들을 닮지 말라. 이는 너희가 구하기 전에 너희 아버지께서는 너희가 무엇을 필요로 하는지 아심이라. 그러므로 너희는 이렇게 기도하라. ‘하늘에 계신 우리 아버지, 아버지의 이름이 거룩하게 되시옵고, 아버지의 왕국이 임하시오며, 아버지의 뜻이 하늘에서와 같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다.'”(마 6:7-10)

           그렇습니다! 하나님께서 아브라함을 부르셔서 야곱의 열두 아들을 이스라엘의 열두 지파로 삼으시고 그들을 독특한 민족으로 선택하셨습니다. 이는 앞으로 이스라엘의 남은 자들이 회개할 때 그들을 회복하여 아브라함에게 언약하신 팔레스타인 약속의 땅에 심으셔서 주 예수 그리스도의 영원한 왕국에서 모든 이방민족들을 다스리는 제사장 민족이 되게 하시기 위함이었습니다. 그러므로 그들은 하나님의 뜻을 깨닫고 그들을 위하여 세우신 하나님의 뜻이 이 땅에 이루어지게 해 달라고 기도하라고 하신 것입니다. 하나님께서 받으시는 기도는 하나님의 뜻이 이루어지게 해 달라는 간구인 것입니다.

             두 번째로 그들이 구해야 하는 것에 대하여 “하나님의 의“라고 말씀하셨습니다. 예수께서 이 땅에 오실 때까지 그들은 모세를 통하여 주신 율법 아래서 살아왔습니다. 하나님께서는 그들에게 십게명을 비롯하여 모든 율법들과 계명들과 규례들을 주신 것은 그들로 하여금 자신들이 지킬 수 없다는 것을 깨닫게 하려 하셨던 것입니다. 사도 바울은 성령 안에서 이 사실을 깨닫고 갈라디아 교회 성도들에게 증거했습니다:

“그러면 어찌하여 율법을 섬기느냐? 그것은 범법함 때문에 더해진 것이니, 약속받은 그 씨가 오실 때까지라. 그것은 한 중보자의 손에서 천사들을 통하여 재정된 것이라. 이제 중보자는 한 편만의 중보자가 아니니라. 그러나 하나님께서는 한 분이시니라. 그렇다면 율법이 하나님의 약속들을 거스르는 것이냐? 결코 그렇 수 없느니라. 만일 율법이 생명을 부여할 수 있는 것으로 주어진 것이었다면 진실로 의도 율법에 의하여 되었을 것이라. 그러나 성경은 모든 것이 죄 아래 있다고 단정하였으니 이는 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음으로 말미암는 약속을 빋는 사람들에게 주려는 것이라. 그러나 믿음이 오기 전에 우리는 율법 아래서 감시를 받았으며 나중에 믿음이 계시 될 때까지 갇혀 있었느니라. 그리하여 율법이 우리를 그리스도께로 인도하는 지도교사가 되었으니 이는 우리를 믿음으로 의롭게 하려 함이라. 믿음이 온 후로 우리는 더 이상 지도교사 아래 있지 아니하도다.”(갈 3:19-25)

           또한 사도 바울은 하나님의 의에 대하여 다시 한 번 구체적으로 증거했습니다:

“하나님께서 죄를 알지도 못하는 그를 우리를 위하여 죄로 삼으신 것은 우리로 하여금 그 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이라.”(고후 5:21)

             그러므로 예수께서는 자신이 유대인들뿐만 아니라 온 세상의 죄를 제거하시기 위하여 하나님의 어린 양이 되셔서 십자가에서 죽으시고 부활하신 후 장차 자신이 이 땅에 세우실 영원한 왕국(단 2:44,45)을 위하여 기도하라고 말씀하신 것이며, 자신이 십자가에서 폐기할 손으로 쓴 법령을 믿지 말고 자신의 죽음과 부활을 통하여 이루실 하나님의 의이신 자신을 믿어야 할 것에 대하여 말씀하신 것입니다. 사도 바울은 에수 그리스도를 통하여 폐기된 것에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“우리를 거스르고 우리를 대적한 손으로 쓴 법령을 지워버리고 또 그것을 그의 십자가에 못박아 없애셨으며 정사와 권세를 벗겨 내어 그것들을 공개적으로 나타내시고 십자가로 그들을 이기셨느니라. 그러므로 음식으로나 마시는 것으로나 거룩한 날이나 새 달이나 안식일들에 관해서는 아무도 너희를 판단하지 못하게 하라. 이런 것들은 다가올 것들의 그림자이나 몸은 그리스도의 것이니라.”(골 2:14-17)

             그러나 이천 년이 지난 지금까지도 대부분의 유대인들은 여전히 주 예수 그리스도의 왕국을 믿지 않고 있으며 주 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 하나님의 의를 받아 죄사함 받는 것을 구하지 않고 있는 것입니다. 성령께서는 사도 바울을 통하여 하나님의 의를 믿어 영원한 생명을 받는 것도 첫째는 유대인들을 위한 것이라고 증거했습니다. 그러므로 그는 그리스도를 믿음으로 받는 구원의 복음을 부끄러워하지 않는다고 증거했습니다:

“내가 그리스도의 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이는 이 복음이 믿는 모든 사람을 구원에 이르게 하는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라. 첫째는 유대인에게요, 또한 헬라인(이방인)에게로다. 이 복음 안에는 믿음에서 믿음에 이르게 하는 하나님의 의가 게시되었으니 기록된 바 ‘의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라.’ 함과 같으니라.”(롬 1:16,17)

             그러나 성경은 언젠가 때가 되면 모든 유대인들이 그들이 받은 율법의 의로는 구원을 받을 수 없다는 것을 깨닫게 될 것이라고 선지자 이사야를 통하여 말씀하셨습니다:

“주께서는 기뻐하며 의를 행하는 자와 주의 길에서 주를 기억하는 자들을 만나셨으니, 보소서 우리가 죄를 지었으므로 주께서 진노하셨나이다. 그들 가운데 지속함이 있으니 우리가 구원을 받으리이다. 그러나 우리는 다 불결한 것 같고 우리의 모든 의는 더러운 걸레 같으며, 또 우리는 다 잎사귀처럼 시들며 우리의 죄악들은 바람처럼 우리를 옮겨갔나이다.”(사 64: 5,6)

              하나님께서는 이 땅에 성령을 보내시어 하나님의 의이신 주 예수 그리스도를 믿어 성령으로 거듭난 사람들을 자신의 교회로 인도하셔서 머리 되신 주 예수 그리스도의 지체가 되게 하심으로써 이미 하나님의 나라(왕국) 안에 들어가게 하셨습니다. 예수께서 바리새인 니고데모에게 말씀하실 때에 “사람이 거듭나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라(왕국)를 볼 수 없고 물과 성령으로 나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라(왕국)에 들어갈 수 없다고 말씀하셨습니다(요 3:3,5). 그러나 하나님께서는 주 예수 그리스도께서 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주로 로 이 땅에 오셔서 자신의 왕국을 세우실 때까지 믿는 자 속에 영적인 하나님의 나라(왕국)가 이루어지게 하셨습니다. 뿐만 아니라, 거듭난 성도들이 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 모일 때마다 그 모임 안에 임재하셔서 성령 안에서 그곳을 하나님의 나라(왕국)가 되게 하시는 것입니다.

           그러므로, 사도 바울은 성도들 안에 있는 영적인 하나님의 나라(왕국)에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“하나님의 나라(왕국)는 먹고 마시는 것이 아니라 다만 성령 안에서 의와 화평과 기쁨이라. 이러한 것들로 그리스도를 섬기는 자는 하나님께 기쁨이요 사람들에게는 인정을 받느니라.”(롬 14:17,18)

             그렇습니다! 하나님의 교회의 지체가 된 거듭난 그리스도인들은 이미 하나님의 나라(왕국)와 하나님의 의를 구함으로써 이미 하나님의 나라(왕국) 안에 들어간 것입니다. 다시 말해서 이미 하나님의 나라(왕국) 안에서 하나님의 백성이 아닌 하나님의 자녀들이 된 것입니다. 또한 자녀이면 하나님의 상속자들이며 동시에 그리스도와 함께 한 공동상속자들이 된 것입니다(롬 8:14-17).

               그러므로 하나님의 자녀된 자들은 이제부터는 하나님의 나라(왕국) 안에서 주시는 유업을 구해야 하는 것입니다. 이 유업을 구하는 사람은 자신을 부인하고 자신에게 주어진 십자가를 지고 그리스도를 따라가야 하는 것입니다. 사도 바울은 하나님의 자녀들이 하나님의 나라(왕국)에서 받을 유업에 대하여 증거할 때에, “이는 현재의 고난들이 우리에게 나타나게 될 영광에 감히 비교되지 못한다고 내가 여기기 때문이라.”(롬 8:21)고 증거하면서 모든 피조물들까지도 그 썩어짐의 속박으로부터 해방되어 하나님의 자녀의 영광스러운 자유에 이르게 될 것을 바라보고 있다고 증거했습니다(롬 8:19-21).

             사도 바울은 큰 도시에 살고 있었던 골로새 교회 성도들에게 앞으로 하나님의 나라(왕국)에서 받을 영광을 바라보고 살아야 함에 대하여 간곡하게 권면했습니다”

그러므로 너희가 그리스도와 함께 살아났으면 위에 있는 것들을 구하라. 거기에는 그리스도께서 하나님의 오른편에 앉아 계시느니라. 위에 있는 것들에 너희 마음을 두고 땅에 있는 것들에 마음을 두지 말라. 이는 너희가 죽었고 또 너희의 생명이 그리스도와 함께 하나님 안에 감추어졌기 때문이라. 우리의 생명이신 그리스도께서 나타나실 때 그때 너희도 그와 함께 영광 가운데 나타날 것이라. 그러므로 땅 위에 있는 너희의 지체를 죽이라. 곧 음행과 부정과 사욕과 악한 색욕과 탐심이니 탐심은 우상숭배니라. 이런 것들 때문에 하나님의; 진노가 불순종의 자녀들에게 임하느니라.'(골 3:1-6)

             그렇습니다! 우리는 손 너비같이 짧은 시한부 삶을 죄의 몸에 내어줌으로써 하나님의 나라(왕국) 안에서 약속하신 유업을 잃어버려서는 안되는 것입니다. 다윗은 이 진리를 오래 전에 깨닫고 “주여, 이제 내가 무엇을 기다리겠나이까? 나의 소망은 주께 있나이다.”(시 39:7)라고 기도했으며, 하나님 사람 모세도 하나님께 기도했습니다: “우리의 모든 날이 주의 진노 가운데 지나가며 , 우리의 연수가 한 갓 이야기처럼 지나가나이다. 우리의 연수가 칠십이요, 강건하면 팔십이어도 연수의 힘은 수고와 슬픔이니, 그것이 곧 끊어지면 우리가 멀리 날아가나이다. 누가 주의 성내심의 능력을 아나이까? 주의 두려움에 따라 주의 진노가 있나이다. 그러므로 우리에게 우리의 날들을 세도록 가르치시어 우리의 마음이 지헤에 이르게 하소서.'(시 90:9-12) 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 39:1-13

Main scripture: Matthews 6:5-13

Subject: The reason why our hope should be the kingdom to come

           Jesus, as the king of the Jew came to the world, and spoke a very important word unto the Jew:

 “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

clothed?

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”(Matt. 6:31-34)

             We should study the word of God dividing the word of the truth rightly not to be shameful servant of God(2Tim. 2;15). There were only two kinds of people in the world such as the Jews and the Gentiles, when Jesus spoke unto them. All other nations of people except the Jews were the Gentiles. The reason why the LORD God chose the people of Israel is to build the kingdom for them in the earth so that they may be the nation of priest. Prophet Isaiah prophesied of Israel to be the priest of the world:

“And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.”(Isa. 61:4-6)

           Jesus spoke unto the Jews of the two things that they have to seek. The first one is to seek the kingdom of God; the second the righteousness of God. The first prayer request is regarding their priesthood in the kingdom of God in the midst of the Gentile nations as he said unto them:

“But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”(Matt. 6:7-10)

           yeah! The LORD God called out Abraham, and had twelve sons of Jacob, his grandson be the twelve tribes of Israel so that they might be the peculiar nation in the earth. It was because the LORD God is going to make them the nation of priest in the earth when the remnant of Israel repent their sins. The LORD God planned to plant them in the promised land that is the land of Palestine that was given unto Abraham to make them the nation of priest in the eternal kingdom of God. Jesus wanted them to understand the will of God for them, and asked them to pray for the will of God to be fulfilled in the earth. The prayer is to seek the will of God to be done.

            Jesus spoke of the second thing that they should seek that is the righteousness of God. Until Jesus came to them, they had been living under the law that was given through Moses. The reason why the LORD God had given the law including Ten Commandments, commandments, and statutes was for them understand that they couldn’t observe them at all. Apostle Paul understood this in the Holy Ghost, and testified unto the Galatians:

“Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.”(Gal. 3:19-25)

               Apostle Paul testified again of the righteousness:

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”(2Cor. 5:21)

             Therefore, Jesus asked them to pray for the eternal kingdom of God(Dan. 2;44,45) to be built in the earth, after he die on the cross and buried and rose again from the dead to take away the sin of the world, not only for the Jews but for the whole world. Jesus asked them not to believe the handwriting of ordinances that were nailed on his cross, but to believe in him that is the righteousness fulfilled through his death and resurrection. Apostle Paul testified of the things that were blotted out by Jesus Christ on the cross:

“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”(Col. 2:14-17)

             Until now, unfortunately, most of the Jews have neither believe in the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ, nor seeking the righteousness of God that gives them the remission of sins . The Holy Ghost testified through Apostle Paul that the righteousness of God is for the Jew first to receive the eternal life. Therefore, he was not ashamed of the gospel of Christ saying,

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”(Rom. 1:16,17)

             But the scripture testified that the Jews shall understand not to be saved by the righteousness of the law through the prophet Isaiah:

“Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”(Isa. 64:5,6)

             God sent the Holy Ghost to the earth; and whosoever is born of the Holy Ghost has entered into the kingdom of God to be the members of his church of which Jesus Christ is the head. Jesus spoke unto Nicodemus, Except man born again cannot see the kingdom of God; and except man born of water and the Spirit cannot enter the kingdom of God (John 3:3,5). But until the Lord Jesus Christ, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords come, and build his kingdom in the earth, God has made the spiritual kingdom of God within that believe. And God has been making the kingdom of God in the midst of the presence of the Holy Ghost whenever the born again Christians gather together in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

               Therefore, Apostle Paul testified of the spiritual kingdom of God that is within the saints:

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.”(Rom. 14:17,18)

             Yeah! The born again Christians, the members of the church of God have already entered the kingdom of God through seeking the righteousness of God. In other word, they became the children of God, not the people of God. And they are the heirs of God, and at the same time the joint heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:14-17).

              Therefore, the children of God are the ones that can seek the inheritance in the kingdom of God. Whosoever seek the inheritance in the kingdom of God is supposed to deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul testified of the inheritance in the kingdom of God for the children of God saying, “Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”(Rom. 8:21)

he testified, even all the creature itself is seeking to be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God (Rom. 8:19-21).

           Apostle Paul encouraged sincerely unto the saints in Colossians church living in a big city for them to look forward the glory to be received in the kingdom of God:

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:”(Col. 3:1-6)

             Yeah! We are not supposed to lose the inheritance promised in the kingdom of God giving up our life as a handbreadth unto our sinful body. King David understood this truth long time ago, and prayed unto the LORD God saying,

“And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.”(Ps. 39:7)

Moses, the man of God also prayed unto the LORD God saying,

“For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”(Ps. 90:9-12)
