금주의 묵상: 시편 51:1-19

본문: 시편 26:1-12

제목: 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 영적인 기도

       다윗왕은 한 때 자신의 부하인 우리야의 아내를 빼앗아 자신의 아내로 삼은 일로 인하여 그의 집에서 칼이 떠나지 않는 징계를 받았습니다. 그러나 그는 나단 선지자를 통해서 자신의 죄를 깨닫게 하신 하나님의 음성을 듣고 뼈를 깎는 회개의 기도를 드렸습니다:

“오 하나님이여, 주의 자애하심을 따라 나에게 자비를 베푸소서. 주의 온유한 자비들의 풍성함을 따라 내 죄과들을 지워버리소서. 나의 죄악으로부터 나를 철저히 씻으시고 나의 죄로부터 나를 깨끗하게 하소서.내가 내 죄과들을 아오니 내 죄가 항상 내 앞에 있나이다….보소서, 내가 죄악 중에서 조성되었고 죄 중에서 내 어머니가 나를 배었나이다. …나의 죄들로부터 주의 얼굴을 가리소서. 나의 모든 죄악들을 지워버리소서. 오 하나님이여, 내 안에 깨끗한 마음을 창조하시고 내 안에 바른 영을 새롭게 하소서. 주의 면전에서 나를 내어쫓지 마시고 주의 거룩한 영을 거두어 가지 마소서.”(시51:1-3, 5,9-11)

         다윗이 살던 시대는 율법 아래에 있던 때었습니다. 모든 사람들의 마음 속에는 주님께서 말씀하신 것처럼 열세 가지의 악한 생각들이 있었던 때였습니다. 이른바, 악한 생각과 간음과 음행과 살인과 도둑질과 탐욕과 악의와 사기와 방탕과 악한 눈과 하나님을 모독함과 교만과 어리석음들이었습니다. 다윗이 간음과 음행과 도덕질과 살인죄를 한꺼번에 눈 하나 까닥하지 않고 저지른 것을 그가 깨달았을 때, 마침내 그는 그가 죄악 중에 모태에서 태어났기 때문인 것을 비로소 알게 되었던 것입니다.

         그 당시 다윗같은 선지자나 왕에게는 하나님의 영을 주셔서 하나님의 일을 하게 하시던 때였습니다. 이스라엘의 첫 번째 왕인 사울은 회개하지 않음으로 인해 주의 영을 거두어 가심으로 악신이 그 안에 들어가게 하셨습니다. 다윗은 그 사실을 기억하면서 주의 영을 거두어가시지 말아 달라고 간구했던 것입니다. 그는 또한 하나님께 그의 마음을 씻어달라고 간구하면서 자신 안에 깨끗한 마음을 창조하시고 바른 영을 새롭게 해 달라고 간구했습니다.

           그는 그 이후에는 마음을 다하여 하나님을 섬기면서 죄짓지 않는 삶을 살았다고 하나님께서 친히 말씀하셨습니다:

“다윗이 주의 눈에 옳은 것을 행하였고, 힛인 우리야의 아내의 일 외에는 주께서 그에게 명하신 일에서 평생 동안 벗어나지 아니하였음이라.”(왕상 15:5)

           그는 성령께서 말하게 하심을 따라 자신도 모르게 한 천 년이 지난 후에 오실 이스라엘의 메시야이시며 온 세상의 구주이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 나타나셔서 하실일에 대하여 미리 간구했던 것입니다.

         이에 대하여 사도 바울은 히브리인들에게 다윗이하나님께 간구한 기도가 어떻게 이루어졌는지에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“그러나 그리스도께서는 다가올 선한 것들의 대 제사장으로 오셔서 손을 짓지 아니한, 곧 이러한 건물이 아닌 더 크고 온전한 성막을 통하여 염소와 송아지의 피로 아니하고 오직 자신의 피로 한 번 성소에 들어가셔서 우리를 위하여 영원한 구속을 이루셨느니라. 황소와 염소의 피와 암송아지의 재도 불결한 자들에게 뿌려 ㄱ 육체를 정결케 함으로써 거룩하게 한다면, 하물며 영원하신 성령을 통하여 흠 없는 자신을 드린 그리스도의 피가 어찌 죽은 행실에서 너희 양심을 정결케 하여 살아계신 하나님을 섬기게 하지 못하겠느냐? 이런 연유로 그는 새 언약의 중보자시니, 이는 첫 언약 때에 범죄한 것들을 구속하시려고 죽으심으로써 부르심을 받은 자들로 그 영원한 유업의 약속을 받게 하시려는 것이라.”(히 9:11-15)

         그렇습니다! 다윗이 간절하게 회개하면서 간구한 대로 주 예수 그리스도의 죽으심을 통하여 흘리신 피가 우리들을 포함하여 온 세상의 죄를 제거하셨으며(요 1:29), 그분을 믿음으로 영접하는 사람은 누구나 그리스도의 피가 양심 속에 들어있는 모든 죄들을 씻어 깨끗하게 하시며 믿는 자 속에 깨끗한 마음이 창조되는 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 그분을 믿을 때에 안에 들어오시는 또한 그분께서 공중에 나타나실 때 믿는 자의 몸이 죽지 않고 썩지 않는 영화로운 새 몸을 입는 그리스도의 날까지 하나님께서는 인을 치심으로써 성령께서 떠나시지 못하게 하신다고 사도 바울이 구원받은 에베소 교회 성도들에게 증거했습니다:

“그분 안에서 너희도 진리의 말씀, 곧 너희 구원의 복음을 듣고서 그분을 신뢰하였으니또 너희가 그분을 믿고서 약속의 그 성령으로 인침을 받은 것이니라. 이는 값주고 사신 그 소유를 구속하시기까지 우리의 유업의 보증이 되사 그의 영광을 찬양케 하려 하심이라.”(엡 1:13-14)

           이렇게 회개한 다윗왕은 회개한 후에 하나님 앞에서 평생 동안 옳은 일을 행할 수 있었습니다. 마찬가지로 이 시대에도 회개하여 주 예수 그리스도를 믿어 죄사함을 받아 양심 속에 있는 모든 죄악들이 제거되어 정결케 됨으로써 하나님의 성령께서 내주하시는 거듭난 그리스도인들 역시 하나님의 영을 따라 하나님 앞에서 옳은 일들을 행할 수 있는 것입니다. 우리는 회개한 후에 그의 변화된 삶을 하나님 앞에 드린 기도 가운데서 그의 변화된 삶을 볼 수 있는 것입니다. 또한 우리들은 그의 기도를 들으면서 우리 자신을 살펴보는 축복된 시간이 되기를 바라는 것입니다.

           그는 하나님께 자신을 판단해 달라고 간구했습니다. 그가 행한 성실한 행위와 그가 온전히 주님을 의지한 것에 대하여 판단해 달라고 간구하는 말로 기도를 시작했습니다. 또한 그가 다시는 빗나가지 않으리라고 말씀드렸습니다. 그렇습니다! 우리도 매일 매일 기도하는 가운데 주님께서 우리들의 행위들을 판단해 달라는 요청을 할 수 있는 삶이 되어야 할 것입니다.

         뿐만 아니가 그는 하나님께 자신이 어떠한지 시험(점검)해 달라고 말씀드리면서 자신의 속 마음을 연단해 달라고 간구했습니다. 철을 연단할 때 단단해지는 것처럼 그의 마음도 하나님께서 친히 연단하시어 견고해지기를 원했습니다.

         그는 자신이 행위가 진리 안에서 행한 것에 대하여 말씀드리면서 모든 것이 하나님의 자애하심이라고 고백했습니다. 사도 바울은 로마에 있는 성도들에게 편지할 때, 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 이들은 곧 하나님의 아들들이라고 증거했습니다(롬 8:14). 다시 말해서 성령께서 말씀하시는 진리를 따라 행하는 자들을 말한 것입니다. 또한 사도 요한도 어린 하나님의 자녀들에게, “나의 자녀들이 진리 안에서 행한다는 것을 듣는 것보다 더 큰 기쁨이 없느니라.”(요삼1:4)고 말했습니다.

             그는 자신이 복된 삶을 살고 있음에 대하여 말씀드리면서, 거짓된 사람들과 함께 하지 않았고 위선자들과도 동행하지 않았으며 악을 행하는 회중을 미워하고 그들과 함께 앉아 시귀지도 않았다고 말씀드렸습니다. 그는 시편 1편에 복있는 자에 대한 말씀처럼, 악인들의 간계를 따르지도 않았으며, 죄인들의 길에도 서지 아니하였고, 조롱하는 자들의 자리에도 앉지 않았다(시 1:1)고 말씀드린 것입니다.

           그는 또한 항상 감사드리면서 사람들 앞에서 공포하였을뿐만 아니라 하나님께서 행하신 일들과 행하실 경이로은 일들을 말하는 삶을 살았다고 말씀드렸습니다. 그는 그의 다른 시편(17편)에서 앞으로 하나님께서 그에게 행하실 경이로운 일에 대하여 말했습니다:

“나, 나는 의 가운데서 주의 얼굴을 보리니 내가 깨면 주의 모습으로 만족하리이다.”(시 17:15)

그는 성령을 통하여 앞으로 오실 주 예수 그리스도께서 나타나시는 날에 그 자신이 그분의 모습으로 변화되는 신비를 말한 것입니다. 이에 대하여 사도 요한도 성령 안에서 다시 증거했습니다:

“보라, 아버지께서 어떠한 사랑을 우리에게 주셔서 우리로 하나님의 아들들이라 불리게 하셨는가. 그러므로 세상이 우리를 알지 못하나니, 이는 새상이 그분을 알지 못했기 때문이라. 사랑하는 자들아, 이제는 우리가 하나님의 아들들이라. 우리가 어떻게 될 것인지는 아직 나타나지 아니하였으나 그가 나타나시면 우리가 그와 같이 되리라는 것을 아노니, 이는 우리가 그분 그대로 볼 것이기 때문이라. 그분 안에서 이 소망을 가진 사람은 누구나 그분이 정결하신 것처럼 자신을 정결케 하느니라”(요일 3:1-3)

         사도 바울도 성령 안에서 같은 증거를 했습니다:

“그가 만물을 자신에게 복종시키는 그 능력의 역사로 인하여 우리의 천한 몸을 그분의 영광스러운 몸과같이 변모시키시리라.”(빌 3:21)

“지금은 우리가 유리를 통하여 희미하게 보나 그때에는 얼굴과 얼굴을 마주 볼 것이요, 지금은 내가 부분적으로 아나 그때에는 내가 알려진 것처럼 알게 되리라.”(고전 13:12)

           그는 그의 즐거움이 주께서 거처하신 집인 성막과 주의 영광이 거하는 곳에 있는 것이라고 말씀드렸습니다. 성령께서 오셔서 하나님의 교회를 세우신 후에 하나님의 집은 첫째는그리스도인의 몸인 것입니다. 사도 바울은 이에 대하여, “너희 몸은 너희가 하나님으로부터 받은 바 너희 안에 계신 성령의 전인 것을 알지 못하느냐? 너희는 너희 자신의 것이 아니니라. 너희는 값을 치르고 산 것이니 그러므로 하나님의 것인 너희 몸과 너희 영으로 하나님께 영광을 돌리라”(고전 6:19-20)증거했습니다.

         그러면 이 시대에 하나님의 영광이 있는 곳은 어디가 되겠습니까? 하나님의 영광은 주님께서 친히 임하시는 곳인 것입니다. 사도 요한이 하나님의 독생자이신 주 예수 그리스도의 영광에 대하여, “그 말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시므로,우리가 그 영광을 보니, 아버지의 독생자의 영광으로 은혜와 진리가 충만하더라.”(요 1:14)고 증거했습니다.

         뿐만 아니라, 하나님의 영광이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 자신이 이 세상에서 함께 하시는 장소에 대하여 친히 증거하셨습니다:

“두세 사람이 내 이름으로 함께 모이는 곳에는 나도 그들 가운데 있느니라.”(마 18:20)

그렇습니다! 우리가 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 모이는 예배 시간이나 성경공부를 위하여 모이는 시간마다 주님의 이름으로 오신 성령님께서 영광 중에 나타나셔서 우리들에게 지혜와 계시의 영을 주시고 지성의 눈을 밝히시며 죄들을 고백할 때에 용서하시고 또한 고난 가운데 있을 때 위로하시며, 약할 때에 힘을 주셔서 우리들을 도우시는 것입니다. 이런 시간들을 즐거워한다고 다윗이 하나님께 말씀드린 것입니다. 우리들 역시 그러한지 살펴보면서 이런 즐거움을 누리는 모두가 되는 축복을 받으시기를 기원하는 것입니다.

           마지막으로 이렇게 옳은 행위를 하는 삶 가운데 그의 발이 평탄한 곳에 서 있다고 고백하고 있으며 항상 회중 가운데 주님을 송축하는 삶을 살게 되었다고 증거하고 있습니다. 우리들 역시 하나님 앞에 올바른 삶을 살 때에 모든 일들이 평탄한 가운데 교회 안에서 성도들과 함께 주님을 송축하는 찬양을 드리는 즐거운 삶을 살 수 있는 것입니다. 아멘! 할랠루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 51:1-19

Subject: The spiritual prayer pleased by God

           King David was chastened by the LORD God, for he killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and took his wife to be his wife; the sword never departed from his house. Afterward, upon hearing the message of the sin committed by him from prophet Nathan, he made a prayer of repentance as cutting his bones saying:

“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me….. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. …. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”(Ps. 51:1-3,5,9-11)

             The days when David lived were under the law of God. In the heart of man, there were thirteen different kinds of evil thoughts as Jesus said unto the Pharisees such as evil thoughts, adulteries, fornication, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. When David understood, he committed adulteries, fornication, theft and murder at one time without any consideration, he had become to understand that he was conceived in sin in his mother’s womb.

              At that time, the LORD God anointed with his Spirit unto the prophet and kin as David so that they may be able to do Lord’s work. The LORD God took away his Spirit from Saul, the first king of Israel, for he not repented his sin. he was possessed by the evil spirit afterwards. Remembering the case of king Saul, he might ask the LORD not to take away the Holy Spirit from him. He also asked the LORD to cleanse him from his sin, and to create a clean heart within him, and to renew a right spirit in him.

                  After wards, he served the LORD God with all his heart no more sinning at all as testified by the LORD God:

“Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.”(1King 15:5)

                In the Spirit of God, he made supplication asking the ministry that shall be done by the Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel as well as the Savior of the world a thousand years later. Of this, Apostle Paul testified unto the Hebrews how the prayer of David had been fulfilled unto them:

“But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead , and works to serve the living God?

And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.”(Heb. 9:11-15)

               Yeah! As David asked the LORD God with sincere repentance, the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ shed through his death took away the sin of the world(John 1:29), and his blood purifies all sins in the conscience of them that believe, and create a clean heart within them. Apostle Paul testified unto the saints of Ephesians saying, they were sealed with the Holy Ghost so that the Spirit may not leave them at all until the day of Christ when they are to be clothed with immortal as well as incorruptible body:

“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”(Eph. 1:13-14)

               After sincere repentance, David was able to do right things before God for his whole life. In the same manner, the born again Christians who repent to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and receive the remission of sins also could do right things before God through the dwelling of the Holy Ghost within them. In the prayer of David done after repentance, we are able to find his totally changed life. Searching his prayer, we may be blessed though examining ourselves.

                He began to pray unto the LORD to judge him of his faithfulness trusting in him thoroughly. He also spoke unto God not to slide anymore. Yeah! We should be able to ask the Lord to judge our behaviors.

              He also asked the LORD to examine him, and to prove him; and try his reins and his heart. As iron is to be hard, he also wanted to make his heart strong through the trial done by God.

                He spoke unto to God of his life walking in his truth; and he attributed all things to his lovingkindness. Apostle Paul testified unto the saints in Rome saying the children of God are led by the Spirit of God(Rom. 8:14). In other word, he was talking about them that walk according to the truth spoken by the Holy Ghost. Apostle John also spoke unto the children of God saying,

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”(3John 1:4)

                 David spoke of his blessed life saying, I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers, and have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked. As the blessed in the first chapter of Psalms, he did not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful (Ps 1:1).

               He always published with the voice of thanksgiving unto the LORD God telling of all the wondrous works of the LORD. In the other psalm, he testified of the wondrous thing to be done by God in the future saying, “As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.”(Ps. 17:15)

Through the Holy Ghost, he testified of the mystery for himself that shall be changed as the Lord Jesus Christ when he appears in the day of Christ. Apostle John also testified of this mystery:

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”(1John 3;1-3)

             Apostle Paul made the same testimony as John in the Holy Ghost:

“Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”(Phil. 3:21)

“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”(1Cor. 13:12)

             David spoke unto the LORD saying, he has loved the habitation of his house, and the place where his honor dwells. Since the Holy Ghost came to the earth in the name of Jesus, and built the church of God, the house of God is the body of Christian first of all. Apostle Paul testified of this mysterious truth:

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”(1Cor. 6:19-20)

               Then, where is the place where the glory of God dwells in this age? The glory of God is presented where the Lord Jesus Christ is presented. Apostle John testified of the glory of the only begotten Son of God:

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”(John 1:14)

             The Lord Jesus Christ of the glory of God testified of the place where he shall be in the world saying, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”(Matt. 18:20)

Yeah! Whenever we gather together in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in worship service or bible study, the Holy Ghost which came in the name of the Lord Jesus appears in the glory, and give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation, and enlighten our eyes of understanding.

And he will forgives our sins upon our confession, and comfort in the midst of our tribulation, and strengthen our infirmities. David confessed that he loved such kinds of time. We are to be blessed through loving such time in the congregation of the church.

             David concluded his prayer saying his foot stands in an even place in the midst of doing right things blessing the LORD in the congregations. We also shall be able to stand in the even place with peace blessing the Lord Jesus with rejoice with the congregations in the church. Amen! Hallelujah!
