금주의 묵상: 시편 146:1-10

본문: 신명기 33:26-29

제목: 최상의 복을 받아 행복한 사람들

       사람은 누구나 행복하기를 원합니다. 해가 바뀔 때마다 “새해에 복 많이 받으세요“라는 인사를주고 받는 소리를 듣습니다. 세상에 태어나서 하나님을 모르는 대부분의 사람들은 한자 “복(福)”자에 나타나 있듯이 좋은 명품 옷과 맨션같은 호화로운 집과 유기농으로 된 진미한 음식을 먹으며 또한 대대로 물려줄 수 있는 든든한 사업체를 세운 사람을 복받은 사람이라 말하며 부러워합니다. 다시 말해서 육신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 이생의 자랑을 이룬 사람들을 바라보면서 그들과 같이 되어 보려고 바쁘게 살아가고 있는 것입니다.

         오늘 본문 말씀 가운데 하나님의 사람인 모세가 죽기 전에 이스라엘 백성을 축복하고 있습니다. 그는 이스라엘을 향하여 여수룬이라 부르면서 하나님께서 그들을 도우시려고 하늘을 타시고 창공에 그의 탁월하심을 나타내신다고 말하고 있습니다. 또한 그들의 하나님은 영원한 하나님이시며 그분께서 친히 그들의 피난처가 되시며 그분의 영원하신 팔이 그들의 아래에서 그들의 원수들을 쫓아내시며 “그들을 멸하라.”하실 것이라고 말했습니다. 다시 말해서 그들이 원수들의 손에 의해 아래로 떨어질 때에 하나님의 손이 그들의 원수들을 멸하실 것이라고 말한 것입니다. 또한 하나님께서는 그들에게 곡식과 포도주로 그들을 축복하실 것이며 하늘들도 그들을 위하여 이슬을 낼 것이라고 축복하고 있습니다.

         모세는 결론적으로 이스라엘 백성들이 행복한 백성들이라고 증거하고 있습니다. 또한 그들이 행복한 백성인 이유에 대하여 “오, 주에 의해 구원받은 백성이여, 누가 너와 같으리요. 그분이 네 도움의 방패시며 네 탁월함의 칼이시리로다! 네 원수들이 네게 거짓말쟁이로 드러날 것이요, 너는 그들의 높은 곳들을 밟으리라.”고 말했습니다.

         하나님의 사람 다윗왕도 행복한 사람에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“이러한 백성은 행복하나니 정녕, 주께서 자기들의 하나님이신 백성은 행복하도다…야곱의 하나님을 자신의 도움으로 삼으며 그 소망을 주 그의 하나님께 두는 자는 행복하도다.”(시 144:15;146:5)

        또한 어린 나이에 하나님으로부터 지혜와 명철을 받은 솔로몬 왕도 행복한 사람에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“지혜는 그것을 얻는 자에게 생명의 나무니, 그것을 지니는 자는 행복하니라…..일을 현명하게 다루는 자는 좋은 것을 얻으리니, 주를 신뢰하는 자는 누구나 행복하니라. 항상 두려워하는 자는 행복하나, 마음을 완악하게 하는 자는 재앙에 빠지리라.”(잠 3:18;16:20;28:14)

           하나님께서 자기 민족으로 택하셔서 앞으로 주 예수 그리스도께서 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주로 세상에 오셔서 지난 육천 년 동안 잠시 마귀에게 내어주었던 땅을 다시 찾으실 때에 그들을 세상 모든 이방 민족들 가운데 우두머리가 되게 하셔서 제사장 민족으로 미리 정하셨기 때문에 그들은 행복한 민족이라 말씀하고 있는 것입니다.

        그러나 마땅히 행복해야 할 이스라엘 백성들은 그들이 지나온 과거와 그들이 처한 상황을 볼 때에 세상 사람들의 눈에 그들이 하나님으로부터 복 받은 행복한 사람들로 보이지 않는 현실입니다. 행복한 것은 고사하고 그들의 지나온 과거 역사는 바벨론, 앗시리아, 이집트, 페르시아, 그리스 그리고 로마에 이르기 까지 그들은 많은 이방민족들의 지배를 받아왔으며 세계대전 때에는 나치스에 의하여 그들 모두가 재산을 몰수당하며 수치 가운데 죽임을 당한 역사를 모르는 사람이 없는 것입니다.

         그러나 하나님께서는 지금까지 그들에 대한 계획을 포기하지 않으셨습니다. 그들이 비록 하나님을 떠나 이방신들을 섬기며 지금에 이르렀지만 하나님의 입에서 나온 그들에 대한 약속의 말씀은 어느누구도 변개할 수 없다고 성경은 말씀하고 있습니다:

“보라, 이스라엘을 지키시는 그는 졸지도 아니하시고 주무시지도 아니하시리라…..이는 하나님께서 거짓말하실 수 없는 이 두 가지 변치 못할 사실로 인하여 우리 앞에 놓여진 소망을 붙잡기 위해 피난처를 찾아 나온 우리로 든든한 위로를 받게 하려 하심이라.”(시 121:4, 히 6:18)

           이스라엘 백성들 배부분이 여전히 자신들의 하나님이시며 메시야이신 주 예수 그리스도를 믿지 않고 있는 것을 봅니다. 그러나 그들은 앞으로 나타날 죄의 사람인 적그리스도를 자신들의 메시야로 영접하여 그들의 소망인 시오니즘을 이루어보려고 도모하다가 결국 그들이 영접한 사람이 그리스도가 아닌 적그리스도라는 사실을 알게 될 것이라고 성경은 말씀하고 있습니다. 옛날 히틀러 앞에서 도망하다가 붙잡혀서 죽임을 당한 것처럼 그들 모두가 전멸당하는 위기 속에서 나타나시는 예수 그리스도를 마침내 영접하게 될 것을 하나님께서 미리 아시고 계신 것입니다. 지난 이천 년을 이틀처럼 여기시며 그들 가운데 회개하는 남은 자들을 거룩하게 하셔서 자신의 왕국의 제사장 민족으로 만드시게 될 것입니다.

             선지자 이사야는 하나님께서 마침내 이 일을 이루실 것에 대하여 그분의 열성이 그 일을 이루실 것이라고 예언했습니다:

“이는 우리에게 한 아이가 태어났고 우리에게 한 아들이 주어졌음이니 정부가 그의 어깨 위에 있을 것임이요, 그의 이름은 경이로운 분이라, 상담자라, 능하신 하나님이라, 영원하신 아버지라. 화평의 통치자라 불리리라. 그의 정부와 화평의 증가함이 다윗의 보좌와 그의 왕국 위에 바르게 세워지고, 지금부터 영원까지 공의와 정의로 그것을 굳게 세우는데 끝이 없으리라. 만군의 주의 열성이 이것을 실행하시리라.”(사 9:6-7)

             그렇습니다! 하나님께서 계획하신 것을 방해하려고 마귀는 이방 나라들을 통하여 그들로 하여금 바알과 우상들을 섬기게 함으로써 하나님의 진노를 받을 수밖에 없도록 하였지만 하나님께서는 천 년을 하루같이 참아오시면서 그들이 회개함으로써 모세를 통하여 미리 말씀하신 대로 행복한 민족이 되는 날을 바라보고 계시는 것입니다.

               자신이 창조하신 땅을 이스라엘 민족에게 맡기시는 계획을 하신 하나님께서는 이 세상의 기초를 놓으시기도 전에 한 가지 신비로운 계획을 하셨습니다. 이 사실을 깨달은 사도 바울은 에베소 교회 성도들에게 증거했습니다:

“하나님께서는 세상의 기초를 놓으시기 이전에 우리로 사랑 안에서 그분 앞에 거룩하고 흠 없게 하시려고 그리스도 안에서 우리를 택하시어 하나님의 기쁘심에 따라 예수 그리스도를 통하여 우리를 자신의 자녀로 입양할 것을 예정하셨으니 이는 하나님께서 그 사랑하시는 이 안에서우리를 받아들이신 그의 은혜의 영광을 찬양케 하려 하심이니라.”(엡 1:4-6)

           그는 또한 하나님의 자녀의 신분에 대하여 증거할 때에 하나님의 백성 이스라엘과 또 다른 선택받은 사람들이라고 증거했습니다:

“성령이 친히 우리의 영과 함께 우리가 하나님의 자녀임을 증거하시거니와 자녀이면 상속자들이니 하나님의 상속자들이요, 그리스도와 함께 한 공동상속자들이니 우리가 그와 함께 고난을 받은 것은 함께 영광도 받게 하려 함이니라…..우리의 시민권은 하늘에 있으므로 우리가 그곳으로부터 오실 구주이신 주 예수 그리스도를 기다리고 있으니 그가 만물을 자신에게 복종시키는 그 능력의 역사로 인하여 우리의 천한 몸을 그분의 영광스러운 몸같이 변모시키시리라.”(롬 8:16-17, 빌 3:20-21)

           사도 베드로도 하나님의 자녀들에 대하여 또 다른 각도에서 증거했습니다:

“그러나 너희는 선택받은 세대요 왕같은 제사장이며, 거룩한 민족이요, 독특한 백성이니, 이는 너희를 어두움애서 불러내어 그의 놀라운 빛에 들어가게 하신 분의 덕을 너희로 선포하게 하려는 것이라.”(벧전 2:9)

             이스라엘 백성은 한 사람 아브라함을 불러내시어 그의 손자인 야곱의 후손들을 하나님의 백성으로 선택하시어 자신이 창조하신 땅을 주시기로 약속하셨지만, 하나님의 자녀들은 지난 이천 년 동안 주 유대인이나 이방인이나 차별 없이 예수 그리스도를 믿어 그분의 피로 양심이 정결케 되어 성령으로 거듭난 하나님의 자녀들이 하나님을 아바 아버지로 부르며 하나님의 나라에 들어간 한 세대인 것입니다. 그리스도 예수께서 오시기 전 지난 사천 년 동안이나 또한 하나님의 교회가 하늘로 들려올라간 후에는 그 어떤 누구도 하나님의 자녀가 되는 축복을 누리는 기회가 더 이상 없는 것입니다. 그러므로 하나님의 자녀들로 예수 그리스도의 몸을 이룬 하나님의 교회의 지체들은 하나님의 백성들이 행복한 것보다 한층 더 행복한 사람들인 것입니다.

             사도 바울은 하나님의 자녀들이 속해 있는 하나님의 나라(왕국)에 대하여 증거할 때에 그 어떤 육신적인 행복과는 비교할 수 없음에 대하여 “하나님의 나라는 먹고 마시는 것이 아니라.”고 증거한 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 하나님의 나라는 성령 안에 있다고 증거했습니다. 성령 안에 있다는 것은 하나님의 독생자이신 주 예수 그리스도의 영도 그들 안에 있다는 것입니다. 예수께서 세상에 계실 때 “아버지가 내 안에, 내가 아버지 안에 있다“고 말씀하신 것처럼 하나님의 나라 안에 사는 그리스도인들은 그리스도와 한 몸을 이루고 있는 것입니다.

               또한 하나님의 나라는 의와 화평과 기쁨이라고 증거했습니다. 가장 큰 행복이 무엇이겠습니까? 모든 죄들을 용서받아 정결케 되는 것입니다. 세상사람들은 무거운 걱정과 근심이 없는 사람을 행복하다고 말합니다. 사실 걱정과 근심 중에 가장 큰 것은 죄의 짐인 것입니다. 이로 인하여 예수께서는 “수고하고 무거운 짐진 자들아, 다 내게로 오라, 그러면 내가 너희에게 쉼을 주리라. 나는 마음이 온유하고 겸손하니, 내 멍에를 메고 나에게서 배우라. 그리하면 너희의 혼에 쉼을 얻으리라.”(마 11:28-29)고 말씀하셨습니다.

             사람이 아무리 부유하고 성공한 사람이라고 자타가 인정할지라도 혼에 쉼을 얻지 못하면 불행한 사람인 것입니다. 다윗왕은 그의 시편에서 세상 사람들이 바쁘게 살면서 쉼을 누리지 못함에 대하여, “진실로 사람마다 그림자같이 걸어다니며 진실로 그들이 헛되이 분주하니 재물을 쌓으나 누가 그것을 가질지 알지 못하나이다.”(시 39:6)라고 증거했습니다. 그러나 모든 죄의 짐을 벗어버리고 혼의 쉼을 누리는 사람이 진정으로 행복을 누리는 사람인 것입니다. 모든 일에 감사하고 먹을 것과 입을 것이 있으면 만족하면서 자족하는 사람이 경건한 삶을 누리는 행복한 사람인 것입니다. 또한 이때에 하나님과 화평을 누리면서 기쁨을 누리는 복된 삶을 살게 되는 것입니다.

             그렇습니다! 몸은 땅에 살지만 영과 혼이 하나님의 나라 안에 사는 성령충만한 거듭난 그리스도인들은 최상의 복을 받은 사람들입니다. 다윗 왕은 하나님께 기도하는 가운데 최상의 복에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“이는 주께서 그에게 최상의 복을 영원히 받게 하셨으며 주께서 주의 얼굴로 그를 심히 즐겁게 하셨음이니이다.”(시 21:6)

그는 앞으로 오실 그리스도께서 최상의 복을 받은 분이시라고 고백한 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 그 자신도 앞으로 부활의 날에 그분의 얼굴을 볼 때에 주님의 모습으로 변화하여 그분처럼 최상의 복을 받는 것이 그의 유일한 소망이라고 고백한 것입니다.

           누구든지 그리스도의 영으로 거듭난 하나님의 자녀들은 이 땅에서 사는 동안 성령으로 인도받으면서 의와 화평과 기쁨을 누리는 행복을 누리다가 주님께서 오실 때 그분같이 변화되는 소망 가운데 그분께서 정결하신 것처럼 자신을 정결케 하는 삶을 살아야 하는 것입니다. 조만간 주님께서 오실 때 그분께서 받으신 최상의 복을 영원무궁토록 누리면서 그분과 함께 영원히 행복을 누리게 될 것입니다.

Meditation of the week: Psalms 146:1-10

Main scripture: Deuteronomy 33:26-29

Subject: The one that is happy with most blessing

               Man wants to be happy. We hear of greeting each other “Happy New year” welcoming a new year. They that do not know God want to be blessed in the meaning of blessing in Chinese word. They want to wear clothes of famous brand name; want to dwell luxurious mansion enjoying healthy foods such as organic; want establish financially sound business so that they may able to inherit unto their children from generation to generation. Such kinds of men are called blessed ones, and they are envied by others. In other word, men in the world are busy to fill them with the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

             In the main passage, Moses, man of God is blessing the people of Israel before he died. He called Israel as Jeshurun saying their God ride upon the heaven in their help, and in his Excellency on the sky. He also is saying, the eternal God is their refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms, and he shall thrust out the enemy from before them, and shall say destroy them. In other word, when they are fallen down by the hands of their enemies, the hands of God shall destroy their enemies. He also blessed them, saying, Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine: also his heavens shall drop down dew.

           Moses blessed the people of Israel as happy nation of people. He also testify of the reason why they are happy ones:

“Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy Excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.”(Deut. 33:29)

             King David, man of God also testified of them that are happy:

“Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord…. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God:”(Ps. 144:15; 146:5)

           King Solomon that received wisdom and understanding from God in his young age also testified of them that are happy:

“She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her…. He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he…. Happy is the man that feareth always: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.”(Prov. 3:18; 16:20; 28:14)

             God has chosen Israel as his chosen people to make them the head of all the Gentiles, when the Lord Jesus Christ is coming as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords to take the earth back unto him. The earth has been robbed by the devil for six thousand years. The people of Israel shall be happy nation as the nation of priest in the kingdom of Christ. This is the reason why they are blessed to be happy nation at all.

             But in reality, Israel seems not to be happy nation at all to the eyes of the world concerning their miserable history. They have been ruled by so many Gentile nations such as Babylon, Assyria, Egypt, Persia and Roman Empire. As we know, during the world war, they were robbed all their possessions by Nazis and murdered in shame.

            But God has never given up his plan for them at all. Even though they have been worshipping the idols of the Gentile nations departing their God until now, no one can change the word of promise for them as testified by the scriptures:

“Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep…… That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:”(Ps. 121:4, Heb. 6:18)

                  Even though the most of the people of Israel are still not believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, as their God and Messiah. But the scriptures testify they shall receive the man of sin that is Antichrist as their Messiah to achieve their Zionism through him to be ended up understanding him as not their Messiah but Antichrist at the end. The Lord Jesus Christ shall appear unto them just before they are destroyed by the Antichrist in the midst of flee just as they were killed by Hitler; then they shall receive Jesus . God had known of what to happen unto them as a future history. God has considered as two days of the last two thousand years, and he shall make them the nation of priest in his kingdom finally.

               Prophet Isaiah prophesied of the zeal of the LORD God toward Israel:

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”(Isa. 9:6-7)

             Yeah! Even though the devil has been making them worship Baal and their idols for them to put under the wrath of God, God has been longsuffering for a thousand year as one day looking forward the day when they repent to be the happy nation as Moses prophesied.

                God not only planned the nation of Israel as the priest for them taking care of the earth that was created by him , also he made another mysterious plan before the foundation the world. Apostle Paul testified of this understanding the will of God:

“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”(Eph. 1:4-6)

               He testified of the identity of the children of God as the different kind of people from Israel that are chosen by God:

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together….. For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

21Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”

(Rom. 8:16-17, Phil. 3:20-21)

               Apostle Peter testified of the children of God in different point of view:

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”(1Pet. 2:9)

                 The people of Israel have been chosen by God through calling Abraham to make the twelve children of Jacob the grandson of Abraham chosen to give them the earth created by him. But the children of God have been chosen in Christ to enter the kingdom of God calling God as Abba Father through purging their conscience by the blood of Christ by faith, and born of the Spirit of God for last two thousand years whether they are Jew or Gentiles. This is the reason why they are called a generation. For four thousand years before Christ Jesus came to the world to die, and also after the church of God translated to heaven, no one could be the children of God at all. This is the reason why the church of God consisting of the children of God is more blesses than the people of God.

                 When Apostle Paul testified of the kingdom of God, he said, it is not of meat and drink for it is never comparable with happiness in the world. He also testified of the kingdom of God in the Holy Ghost. He means, the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ only begotten Son of God within them. As Jesus said, the Father in me, and I in him, the Christians dwelling in the kingdom of God are one body with him.

             He also testified of the kingdom of God as righteousness and peace and joy. What is the most blessing? It is to be cleansed from all sins through remission of sins unto purification. People say of happy man that has no more worry and concern. The heaviest worry and concern is the burden of sins. This is the reason why Jesus spoke unto the people:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”(Matt. 11:28-29)

                 However man may be rich and successful, he is not happy unless he has the rest of his soul. King David testified of men in the world not having the rest of soul in the midst of busy life:

“Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.”(Ps. 39:6)

                He is the real happy man that has the rest of soul putting off the burden of sins. he is the one that gives thanks in every thing, and satisfies with food to eat and clothes to wear and live in godliness. he is living in peace with God with rejoicing.

               Yeah! They are ones that have most blessing living in the world physically, but living their spirit and soul in the kingdom of God filled with Holy Ghost. King David testified of the most blessing in his prayer:

“For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.”(Ps. 21:6)

He confessed of Christ to come as the one that received most blessing. He also submit his only hope unto the LORD God to receive the most blessing when he shall see the Lord face to face changes exactly as Christ in the day of resurrection.

               Whosoever the children of God born again of the Spirit are supposed to live in purity as he is purity led by the Spirit of God in the happiness in righteousness and peace and joy in the hope of being changed as Christ. Then they shall have the most blessing eternally with him that is received by him from the Father.
