금주의 묵상: 시편119:1-16

본문: 신명기 6:1-15

제목: 마음을 다하여 하나님을 사랑하고 있는가? 입술로만 사랑하고 있는가?

          주 하나님께서는 자신이 선택하신 민족 이스라엘에게 자신이 어떤 분이신지 나타내셨습니다. 하나님께서는 자신만이 유일하신 주 하나님이시라고 말씀하셨습니다. 또한 자신이 이스라엘을 선택하셨기 때문에 그들에게 “네 마음을 다하고 네 혼을 다하고 네 힘을 다하여 너의 하나님을 사랑하라.”고 명령하셨습니다.

        또한 주 하나님께서는 그들에게 명령하신 계명들과 규례들과 명령들을 앞으로 그들이 차지할 땅에서 행하라고 말씀하셨습니다. 뿐만 아니라 그들에게 명령하신 모든 말씀들을 그들의 자녀들에게 가르쳐서 그들로 하여금 평생 동안 지켜 그들의 주 하나님을 두려워하게 하라고 명령하셨습니다. 그들은 이 하나님의 모든 명령들을 지켜 행할 때 그들이 차지할 땅에서 잘되고 번성할 것이라는 약속의 말씀을 주신 것입니다.

       또한 하나님께서는 그들에게 특별히 조심하라는 경고의 메시지를 주셨습니다. 그들의 주위에 있는 백성의 신들을 따르지 말 것에 대하여 말씀하셨습니다. 다시 말해서 주 하나님께서는 지상에 있는 민족들 가운데 그들만을 자신의 마음과 혼과 힘을 다해 사랑하시기 때문에 그들이 다른 신들을 따라가게 될 때에 진노하시고 그들을 지면에서 멸하실 정도로 그들을 사랑하고 있다는 사실을 기억해야 한다고 말씀하신 것입니다.

        또한 하나님께서는 그들에게 다시 한 번 말씀하셨습니다: “이제 이스라엘아 들으라. 주 너의 하나님께서 네게 무엇을 요구하시느냐? 오직 주 너의 하나님을 두려워하고 그분의 모든 길로 행하고 그분을 사랑하며 네 마음을 다하여주 너의 하나님을 섬기며, 내가 오늘 네 번영을 위하여 네게 명령하는 주의 계명들과 그분의 규례들을 지키는 것이 아니냐?  주께서는 오직 네 조상을 기뻐하시고 그들을 사랑하시어 그들의 씨인 너희를 모든 백성 가운데서 택하신 것이 오늘과 같으니라.”(신 10:12-15)

       그렇습니다! 하나님께서 그들에게 요구하신 것은 그들에게 생명을 주시는 그분의 말씀들을 지키라는 것이었습니다. 하나님께서는 그들이 자유의지를 가지고 자신들이 받고자 하는 것을 받으라고 말씀하셨습니다: “보라, 내가 오늘 복과 저주를 너희 앞에 두노니, 만일 너희가 내가 오늘 너희에게 명령하는 주 너의 하나님의 계명들을 복종하면 복이요, 만일 너희가 주 너의 하나님의 계명들에 복종하지 않고, 내가 오늘 너희에게 명령하는 길에서 벗어나서 너희가 알지 못하였던 다른 신들을 따라가면 저주라….내가 오늘 하늘과 땅을 불러서 너희에 대하여 증거를 삼아 네 앞에 생명과 죽음, 복과 저주를 두었은즉, 그러므로 너와 네 자손이 살려면 생명을 택할지니라.”(신 11:26-28);30:19)

       하나님께서 그들에게 자신이 주신 모든 말씀들을 지켜 행하며 그분을 온전히 사랑하라는 명령을 주신 것은 그들에게 생명과 복을 주시기 위한 것이었습니다. 하늘과 땅에 복과 생명을 주는 유일한 것은 주 하나님의 말씀밖에 없기 때문인 것입니다.

       모세를 통하여 이스라엘 민족에게 말씀하셨던 주 하나님께서 마침내 자신이 선택한 이스라엘 민족 앞에 예수라는 이름으로 육신을 입고 나타나셨습니다. 그러나 그들은 이미 하나님의 말씀들을 버리고 저주와 사망 가운데 거하면서 이방나라를 섬기고 그들의 신들을 섬기고 있었던 것입니다.

       그들의 주시며 하나님이신 예수께서 자신이 하신 말씀들이 영이며 생명이라고 말씀하셨지만(요 6:63), 그들은 그 말씀을 알아들을 수 없었습니다. 주님께서 사망과 저주 가운데 있는 그들에게 생명을 주시기 위하여 말씀하셨습니다:

“진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 나를 믿는 자는 영생을 가졌나니 나는 그 생명의 빵이라. 너희 조상은 광야에서 만나를 먹고 죽었으나 이것은 하늘에서 내려온 빵이니 그것을 먹는 자는 죽지 아니하리라. 나는 하늘에서 내려온 살아있는 빵이니 누구든지 이 빵을 먹으면 영원히 살리라. 또 내가 줄 이 빵은 세상의 생명을 위하여 줄 너의 살이라…… 진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 너희가 인자의 살을 먹지 않고 또 그 피를 마시지 아니하면  너희 안에 생명이 없느니라. 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 자는 누구든지 영원한 생명을 가졌나니 내가 그를 마지막 날에 살리리라. 이는 내 살은 참된 양식이요 내 피는 참된 음료임이라. 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 자는 내 안에 거하며 나도 그 사람 안에 거하느니라. 살아계신 아버지께서 나를 보내셨고 내가 아버지로 말미암아 사는 것같이 나를 믿는 그 사람 역시 나로 말미암아 살리라. 이것은 하늘에서 내려온 빵이라. 너희 조상이 만나를 먹고 죽은 것과 같지 아니하니 이 빵을 먹는 자는 영원히 살리라.”(요 6:47-51, 53-58)

         이스라엘 백성들이 모세를 통해 주신 생명의 말씀들을 지켜 행하지 않음으로 인해 저주와 사망 가운데 있었던 유대인들을 다시 살리시기 위하여 그들의 죄들로 인해 받는 모든 저주를 자신의 살에 받으시고 피를 흘리심으로써 그들에게 생명을 주시려고 오셔서 말씀하셨지만 그들은 여전히 그들의 주 하나님시며 왕이시고 메시야이신 그분을 믿지 않았던 것입니다.

        그분께서는 장차 만 왕의 왕, 만 주의 주로 오실 날을 바라보시면서 유대인이나 이방인이나 차별 없이 자신의 죽음을 통하여 이루신 그리스도의 복음을 믿는 모든 사람들에게 생명을 주시기 원하시는 것입니다. 또한 아직도 눈이 멀고 들을 귀가 없는 유대인들에 대하여는 마지막 한 이레, 즉 야곱의 고난의 때에 회개하고 자신을 믿음으로써 마침내 생명을 택하게 될 남은 자들을 바라보시고 계시는 것입니다.

       옛날 이스라엘 백성에게 말씀하셨던 주 하나님께서는 자신의 살과 피를 먹고 마심으로써 생명을 받은 하나님의 교회에 있는 모든 지체들에게 말씀하셨습니다: “아버지나 어머니를 나보다 더 사랑하는 사람은 나에게 합당하지 아니하고, 아들이나 딸을 나보다 더 사랑하는 사람도 나에게 합당하지 아니하며 또 자기 십자가를 지지 않고 나를 따르는 자도 나에게 합당치 아니하니라. 자기  생명을 찾는 사람은 잃을 것이요, 나로 인하여 자기 생명을 잃는 자는 찾을 것이라.'(마 10:37-39)

       이렇게 말씀하신 후 주님께서는 엣날 이스라엘 백성들에게 명령하신 동일한 명령의 말씀을 주셨습니다:

“너는 네 마음을 다하고, 혼을 다하고 생각을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라. 이것이 첫째며, 큰 계명이니라. 둘째는 이와 같으니, 네 이웃을 네 자신과 같이 사랑하라. 모든 율법과 선지서들이 이 두 계명에 달려 있느니라.'(마 22:37-40)

       하나님께서는 이웃을 사랑하기 이전에 먼저 하나님을 온전히 사랑해야 한다고 말씀하시고 있습니다. 다시 말해서 이웃 사랑을 하나님을 사랑하는 것보다 먼저 하게 되면 하나님께는 합당하지 않다는 말씀인 것입니다. 하나님께서는 우리 같은 죄인들을 위하여 생명까지 내어 놓으셨기에 그분께서는 우리 모두에게 자신을 목숨을 다하여 사랑하라고 말씀하실 수 있는 것입니다. 만일 어떤 사람이라도 그런 요구를 한다면 무시할 수 있겠지만 주님께서 요구하시는 사랑에 대하여 그분의 살과 피를 마심으로써 생명을 받은 사람들은 변명의 여지가 없는 것입니다.  

        입술로만 하나님을 사랑한다고  고백하는 유대인들을 향하여 주님께서 말씀하셨습니다:

“이 백성이 입으로는 나에게 다가오고, 또 입술로는 나를 공경하여도 그들의 마음은 내게서 멀도다.”(마 15:8)

         그렇습니다! 사랑은 말로 하는 것이 아니라 몸으로 하는 것인 줄 모르는 사람이 없을 것입니다. 하물며 모든 사람의 마음을 들여다보시는 하나님께서 말로만 하는 거짓 사랑을 모르실 것이라는  생각은 바보 같은 착각인 것입니다.

       그러므로 하나님을 사랑하는 사람은 그분의 말씀들에 순종함으로써 기쁨으로 행하게 되는 것입니다. 또한 그분에 대하여 세상 사람들에게 입이 마르도록 말하고 싶어하게 되는 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라, 입에서 나오는 모든 말들은 그분을 사랑하는 것을 나타내게 되는 것입니다. 더욱더 중요한 것은 그분께서 나타나시는 그 날만을 바라보면서 기쁨으로 나그네의 삶을 살게 되는 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

This week’s meditation: Psalms 119:1-16

Scripture: Deuteronomy 6: 1-15

Title: Are you loving your God with all your heart? Or only with the lips?

            God has shown himself to the nation of Israel that he had chosen.  God spoke  of  himself who is the only One. He commanded them to love the LORD their God with all their heart, and with all their soul, and with all their might, because he chose them of all the nations.

        In addition, the Lord God spoke to them and command them commandments and statutes and commands you walk in the future in the land they occupy. As well as teaching them all the words spoken to them orders to keep their children a lifelong cause them to fear God, He commanded their shares. They will be given the word of promise to thrive well in the land they occupy when performing watched all the commands of God.

       In addition, God’s warnings prompted special care to them. He spoke about what the end that connects to follow the gods of the people around them. The Lord God asked them to remember that he was going to bring forth  wrath unto them to destroy them from the face of the earth, because he  loves only then  among the nations of the earth with all his heart, soul, and strength as they will go after other gods.

        Also spoke, God once again for them:

 “And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the Lord’s thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. Only the Lord had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.

“(Deuteronomy 10: 12-15)

       That’s right! It is by God required of them was to keep His Word that gives life to them. God said, get what they have using free will that they receive:

 “Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.….. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:“(Deuteronomy 11: 26-28); 30: 19)

       God  said unto them that  he has given them his words, and commanded them to love Him perfectly  to give them life and blessing. The only thing that the blessing of life in heaven and on earth is only  the word of the Lord God.

      The LORD God spoke them through Moses to the Israelites; finally He appeared in the flesh in the name of Jesus in front of the Israelites that was chosen by him. But they already have abandoned the word of God in the midst of the curses and death serving the nations of the Gentiles as well as  their gods.

       Their Lord and their God, Jesus said unto them, “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”  (John 6:63), But they could not understand his words. He spoke unto them to give life seeing them in the midst of death and curses: :

 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.…. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.“(John 6: 47-51, 53-58)

         Jesus said unto them to give them life knowing them among death and curses because of them abandoning the words of God of life given through Moses; He was going to take all the curses in his flesh, and to shed his blood. But still they were not be ready to believe in him, their King as well as their Messiah.

        Looking forward to come as the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, he wants to give life unto them that believe on the gospel of Christ fulfilled through his death regardless they are the Jews or Gentiles. And as for the Jews that are blinded and deaf spiritually, he is looking forward to see them that shall repent to believe in him to receive life  in the days of the trouble of Jacob.

         The LORD God also spoke unto all the members of the church of God that have received life through eating his flesh, and drank his blood as he spoke unto the people of Israel in the old days:

 “ He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.   And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” (Matthew 10: 37-39)

        The Lord Jesus said this after the he gave the word of command, the same who commanded the Israelites:

 “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. “(Matthew 22: 37-40)

          God, said unto us  to love God fully prior to love our neighbors first. In other words, whosoever prefer to love their neighbor in the first prior to love God is not worthy to God. God is the One that can command us to love him with all our life, for he gave up his life for the sake of the sinners like us. If any other man asks us to love him with all our heart, his word is useless to hear. But there cannot be excused to avoid the command of God for them that received through eating his flesh and drinking his blood.

        The Lord Jesus spoke against the Jews saying, they love God as they love him only with their lips:

“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me..” (Matthew 15:08)

         That’s right! There is no one that not understand of love that is to be done by the body not only with lips. How much more is the idea that you do not know the false love of God in words knowing God can see into the hearts of men.

       Therefore, a person who loves God is to be performed with joy by being obedient to His Word. Also against his will to want to say that the mouth is dry to the world. In addition, every word out of the mouth that they would exhibit to love him. The more important thing is that he has shown during  the life as a stranger with joy while looking at only his coming. Amen! Hallelujah!
