금주의 묵상: 시편 124:1-8

본문: 이사야 55:6-13

제목: 사람의 생각을 버리고 하나님의 생각으로 채우라!

            하나님께서는 범죄한 이스라엘 백성들을 향하여 간곡하게 말씀하고 계십니다. 때가 늦기 전에 주 하나님을 찾으라고 말씀하십니다. 그분께서 그들 가까이 계실 때 그분을 부르라고 말씀하십니다. 악한 사람과 불의한 사람은 자기 생각을 버리고 주님께 돌아오라고 말씀하십니다. 자기 생각을 버리는 것이 하나님 앞에 진정한 회개라고 말씀하시는 것입니다. 하나님께서는 회개하고 그분께 돌아오는 자에게 자비를 베푸시고 넘치게 용서하실 것이라고 말씀하고 있습니다.

          이렇게 말씀하셨던 주 하나님께서 육신으로 나타나셔서 세상 모든 사람들의 죄들을 대속하시기 위하여 십자가에 달려계실 때 자신의 생각을 버리고 회개하며 주님을 부르는 한 강도에게 자비를 베푸시고 넘치는 용서를 하셨던 것입니다. 그러나 다른 한 편 강도는 자신의 생각을 버리지 않고 오히려 더 악한 생각으로 가득 차서 회개하지 못하여 주님이 베푸시는 자비를 거절하고 용서받을 기회를 영원히 상실했던 것입니다.

          하나님과 모세 앞에서 모든 율법을 지켜 행하겠다고 서원한 이스라엘 백성들은 그들이 범죄함으로 인해 받은 엄청난 기근과 전염병과 전쟁으로 인한 칼로 인해 그들의 하나님을 반역하는 생각을 품고 오히려 하나님을 멀리하고 이방 나라들을 부러워하면서 오히려 그들을 섬겼습니다. 이스라엘 백성들을 향해 하나님께서는 자신의 생각과 자신의 길이 하늘과 땅의 차이만큼 그들의 생각과 길보다 높다고 말씀하셨습니다.

          또한 하나님의 생각에서 그들을 향해 나오는 모든 말씀들이 마치 비와 눈이 하늘로부터 땅에 내려올 때 하늘로 다시 올라가지 않고 땅을 적셔서 싹을 내게 하시고 먹을 양식을 주는 것처럼, 하나님께서 그들에게 하시는 모든 말씀들도 헛되이 돌아오지 않고 자신이 기뻐하시는 뜻을 이루실 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다. 뿐만 아니라 그분의 말씀을 번성케 하실 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다.

          수백 년 후에 이 땅에 예수라는 이름을 가지고 그들에게 다시 나타나신 하나님께서 그들에게 또 다시 말씀하셨습니다. 그분은 자신이 하나님의 말씀이신 것을 그들에게 알리시기를 원하셨던 것입니다. 선지자 이사야를 통해 하신 말씀을 듣지 않았던 그들에게 다시 한 번 말씀하신 것입니다:

“도둑은 오직 도둑질하고 죽이며 멸망시키려고 오지만, 내가 온 것은 양들로 생명을 얻고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려 함이라. 나는 선한 목자라….”(요 10:10-11)  

         하나님께서는 선지자 이사야를 통하여 다시 한번 자신이 그들의 조상 아브라함에게 하신 영원한 약속을 이루실 것을 말씀하셨습니다. 다시 말해서 그들의 주 하나님께서 이스라엘의 메시야로 다시 나타나실 때 자신의 생각과 길을 버리고 주 예수 그리스도께로 나아와 회개할 때에 그들의 왕국이 회복되어 그들로 하여금 이 땅에서 영원한 제사장 민족이 되게 하시는 약속의 말씀이 반드시 이루어질 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다:

“너희가 기쁨으로 나가서 화평으로 인도함을 받을 것이요, 산들과 작은 산들이 너희 앞에서 노래를 터뜨리고 들의 모든 나무가 손뼉을 치리라. 가시나무를 대신하여 전나무가 나오며 찔레를 대신하여 도금양 나무가 나올 것이라. 그것이 주께 한 이름이 되어 끊어지지 아니할 영원한 표적이 될 것이니라.”(사 55:12-13)

           하나님께서는 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 범죄한 이스라엘 백성들을 향하여 말씀하실 때 그들이 재앙을 받은 이유에 대하여 말씀하셨습니다:

“오 땅아, 들으라. 보라, 내가 이 백성에게 재앙을 가져오리니, 곧 그들의 생각의 열매라. 이는 그들이 내 말들과 내 법에 경청하지 아니하고 그것을 거절하였기 때문이라.”(렘 6:19)

         그러나 그들이 마지막에 가서 회개할 때를 바라보시면서 다시 말씀하셨습니다:

주가 이같이 말하노라. 바빌론에서 칠십 년이 차면 내가 너희를 찾아오리니 너희를 향한 나의 선한 말을 실행하여 너희를 이곳으로 돌아오게 하리라.  이는 내가 너희를 향하여 생각하는 그 생각들을 내가 앎이니, 곧 화평의 생각이요, 재앙이 아니라. 기대하던 끝을 너희에게 주리라.”(렘 29:10-11)

           자신이 선택하신 이스라엘 백성을 위하여 이브라함에게 하신 영원한 언약을 이루시기 위하여 수천 년 동안 생각을 다하여 그들을 사랑하셨던 하나님께서 마침내 육신으로 나타나셔서 자신을 시험하기 위하여 나아온 율법사에게 말씀하셨습니다:

“나는 네 마음을 다하고, 혼을 다하고, 생각을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라.”(마 22:37)

           옛날 온 세상이 노아와 그의 가족을 제외하고 물로 심판을 받은 것도 그 당시 사람의 악한 생각으로 인한 것인 것을 말씀을 통하여 알 수 있는 것입니다:

“하나님께서 사람의 사악함이 세상에 창대해짐과 그 마음의 생각의 상상이 계속해서 악할 뿐임을 보시고 주께서 땅 위에 사람을 지으셨음을 후회하셨으니, 그 일이 그의 마음을 비통케 하였더라. 주께서 말씀하시기를 ‘내가 창조한 사람을 지면에서 멸망시키리니, 사람과 짐승과 기는 것과 공중의 새들 모두라. 이는 내가 그들을 지었음을 후회함이니라.’ 하시니라.”(창 6:5-7)

         주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 이 땅에 오신 성령 하나님께서 사도 바울을 통하여 하나님의 생각에 대하여 다시 한 번 하나님의 교회들에게 말씀하셨습니다:

“오, 깊도다. 하나님의 지혜와 지식의 부요함이여! 그분의 심판을 어찌 헤아리며 그분의 지나간 길을 어찌 찾아내리요? 누가 주의 생각을 일았느냐? 누가 그분의 의논자가 되었느냐? 누가 먼저 그분께 드려서 되돌려 받겠느냐? 이는 만믈이 그분께로부터 나와 그분을 통하여 그분께로 돌아감이라. 영광이 그분께 영원히 있으리로다.”(롬 11:33-36)

            사도 바울은 하나님이신 주 예수 그리스도의 생각을 가지라고 빌립보 교회 성도들에게 권면했습니다:

“너희 안에 이 생각을 품으라. 곧 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 생각이라. 그는 하나님의 형체로 계시므로 하나님과 동등하게 되는 것을 탈취라  생각지 아니하셨으나 오히려 자신의 영예를 버리고 종의 형체를 입으시어 사람들의 모습을 취하셨느니라. 그리하여 사람과 같은 모양으로 나타나셔서 자신을 낮추시고 죽음에까지 순종하셨으니 십자가의 죽음에까지라. 이로 인하여 하나님께서는 그를 지극히 높이시고 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 한 이름을 주사 하늘에 있는 것이나 땅에 있는 것이나 땅 아래 있는 것이나 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고 모든 혀가 예수 그리스도를 주라 시인하여 하나님 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨느니라.”(빌 2:5-10)

          그렇습니다! 이스라엘의 주 하나님께서 사람으로 나타나셔서 죽기까지 순종하신 것은 범죄한 이스라엘뿐만 아니라 이 세상 모든 민족들까지 구원하시기 위함이었던 것입니다.사도 바울은 그의 영적인 아들인 목회자 디모데에게 “하나님께서는 모든 사람이 구원을 받고 진리의 지식에 이르기를 원하시느니라.”(딤전 2:4)고 증거했습니다. 진리의 지식이란 진리이신 하나님이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 자신을 믿는 모든 사람들에게 은혜를 주시기 원하시는 생각을 알기를 원하신다는 말로 표현할 수 있는 것입니다.

          하나님께서는 유대인들뿐만 아니라 모든 사람들이 하나님의 생각을 오해하지 말고, 즉 그들을 향한 하나님의 생각이 재앙이 아니라 화평이라는 사실을 깨닫고 주 예수 그리스도께로 나오기만 하면 모두 자비를 받고 넘치게 용서함을 받으라는 것입니다. 

           사도 바울은 히브리인들을 향하여 간곡하게 부탁하는 말을 했습니다:

그러므로 하늘의 부르심에 참여하는 거룩한 형제들아, 우리의 고백하는 바 사도시며 대제사장이신 그리스도 예수를 깊이 생각하라. 그는 자기를 세우신 분께 신실하기를, 마치 모세가 그분의 온 집에서 한 것과 같이 하셨으니, 그가 모세보다 더욱 영광을 받아 마땅함은 마치 집을 지은 사람이 그 집보다 더욱 존귀한 것과 같으니라….너희가 마음이 지쳐 낙심치 않게 위하여 자기에게 저질러진  죄인들의 그와 같은 모순된 행동을 견뎌내신 그분을 깊이 생각하라.”(히 3:11-13; 12:3)

          사도 바울은 하나님의 생각으로 충만하게 되는 것에 대하여 에베소 교회 성도들에게 권면했습니다:

“술 취하지 말라. 그것은 방탕한 것이니 오직 성령으로 충만하라”(엡 5:18)

     우리가 성령으로 충만하지 않게 될 때에 마귀가 틈을 타서 우리에게 두려운 생각을 주게 되어 우리를 향한 하나님의 생각을 오해하게 되어 낙심하고 시험에 들게 되는 것입니다. 그러나 성령충만을 통하여 우리에게 주시는 것은 두려운 영이 아니라 “능력과 사랑과 건전한 생각의 영”(딤후 1:7)이라고 사도 바울이 디모데에게 증거했습니다. 그렇습니다! 이 세 가지 영은 “주의 영이시며, 지혜와 명철의 영이요, 계획과 능력의 영이며 지식과 주를 두려워하는 영'(사 11:2)이신 성령 안에 모두 들어있는 것입니다.

        또한 성령께서 기록하신 모든 하나님의 말씀들 안에 있는 것입니다. 그러므로 성령으로 충만하여 하나님의 생각으로 충만하게 되기 위해서는 하나님 모든 말씀으로 우리의 생각을 충만하게 채워야 하는 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

This week’s meditation: Psalms 124:1-8

Scripture: Isaiah 55: 6-13

Title: Abandon the idea of man to fill the thought of God!

            God is speaking  towards the people of Israel that committed sins against the LORD seriously. Before it is too late when He said, find the Lord GOD. When he  is close unto them, asked them to call him. Unjust and wicked man were asked by God to come back to the Lord forsaking their own thoughts.  It is to lay down his thoughts is  true repentance saith the LORD. God said , he will have mercy upon him that returns unto the LORD, ans he also will abundantly pardon him.

          The Lord God appeared in the flesh . He was the LORD God that asked them to repent. When he was crucified to redeem the sins of the whole world, he forgave a thief giving mercy that repented forsaking his own thoughts. But the other side one lost forever the opportunity to receive the mercy of him not forsaking  his own thoughts.

          They pledged to keep all the laws of God before Moses and God: but unfortunately they fail. Then God brought forth famine, pestilence and sword unto them. Thereafter they were still not willing to repent their sins, but they rather rejected to serve the LORD God  to serve the Gentile nations envying with them.  God spoke unto them, his thoughts are not their thoughts, neither are their ways, for as the heavens higher than the earth, so are his ways higher than their ways, and his thoughts than their thoughts.  

          He also said unto them, as the rain cometh down, and snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth: and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread t the eater. He also said,  so shall his word be that goeth forth out of his mouth: it shall not return unto him void, but i shall accomplish that which he please, and it shall prosper in the things whereto he sent it.

          After hundreds of years, God appeared to them in the name of Jesus in the earth, and  he said to them again. He wanted to let them know that he is the Word in the beginning. They did not listen to the words spoken through the prophet Isaiah: Jesus said unto them again: ” 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd….” (John 10: 10-11)

         God spoke through the prophet Isaiah he will accomplish the eternal covenant unto Abraham, their forefather. Again the word of their Lord promised that God will restore their kingdom, when they repent and come unto the Lord Jesus Christ when he  appears again as the Messiah of Israel. Then they shall be the eternal priest nation on the earth; and it shall be done by the Lord God. :” For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.” (Isaiah 55: 12-13)

           When God speaks of the reason why they have been in disaster against the people of Israel through the prophet Jeremiah:  ” Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.” (Jeremiah 6:19)

         God spoke again unto them looking forward when they shall repent in the end: : “For thus saith the Lord, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end“(Jer. 29: 10-11)

           The LORD God had loved the people of Israel with all his thoughts for thousands of years, for he had chosen them. He appeared to his people, and said unto a lawyer:

” Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” (Matthew 22:37)

           We can understand that  the old world was judged with the waters except  Noah and his own family due to the wicked thoughts of men through the scriptures. : “  And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them “(Genesis 6: 5-7)

         The Holy Ghost that came in the name of Jesus Christ testified unto the churches of God of the thoughts of God once again through the Apostle Paul:  ” O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.” (Romans 11: 33-36)

            The Apostle Paul encouraged the Philippian church to have the mind  of God, Jesus Christ:” Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  “(Philippians 2: 5-10).

          That’s right! The Lord God of Israel hath obeyed the Father God unto death to give the salvation for not only the Jews, but also all the nations of people. Apostle Paul testified unto Timothy, his spiritual son saying, Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”(1Tim 2:4)

The knowledge of the truth is to let all men know that God is willing to give his grace unto all that believe on him.

          God wants not to be misunderstood of him by the Jews and all the gentile nations of people. His thoughts toward them is not wrath, but peace; they only have to come forward unto him to receive the abundant mercy as well as forgiveness of sins.

           The Apostle Paul spoke unto the Hebrews sincerely:

  ” So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.….. 3For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. “Hebrews 3: 11-13; 12: 3).

          The Apostle Paul encouraged the Ephesian church about being filled with the thoughts of God: ” 18And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;“ (Ephesians 5:18)

           We are to be in temptation giving a break to the Devil when we are not filled with the Holy Ghost; then we may misunderstand the thoughts of God unto us discouraged by the spirit of fear. But the spirit to be given unto us through being filled with the Spirit of God is not the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of the sound mind(2Tim. 1:7) as testified by the Apostle Paul unto Timothy. That’s right, Those three spirits are in the seven Spirit of God that are the spirit of the LORD, and the spirit of wisdom and understanding, and the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD(Isa. 11:2).   

       All the words of God are inspired by the Holy Ghost. Therefore, to be filled with the thoughts of God through being filled with the Holy Ghost, we have to make our thoughts to be filled with all the words of God. Amen! Hallelujah!
