금주의 묵상: 시편 39:1-13

본문말씀: 아모스 8:11-14

말씀제목: 주의 말씀들을 듣지 못하는 기근의 때

        주 하나님께서는 선지자 아모스의 입을 통하여 앞으로 그 날들이 될 때에 그 땅에 기근을 보내실 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다. 빵이 없어서 사람들이 굶어서 죽는 기근도 아니고 , 비가 오지 않음으로 인해 물이 없어 죽는 갈증도 아니며 오직 주의 말씀을 듣지 못하는 기근이라고 말씀하셨습니다.

        하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성들이 범죄함으로 인해 선지자 말라기를 통해 말씀하신 후 사백 년 동안 말씀하시지 않으셨습니다. 옛날 선지자 모세를 통해 , “사람이 빵으로만 사는 것이 아니요 주의 입에서 나오는 모든 말씀으로  사는 것을 너로 알게 하려 하심이니라.”(신 8:3)고 말씀하셨습니다. 하나님께서 광야를 통과하던 이스라엘 백성들을 겸손하게 하기 위해 그들을 배고프게 하셨습니다. 또한 그들이 하나님께 부르짖을 때 그들의 조상들이 알지 못했던 만나로 그들을 먹이셨습니다. 그렇게 하신 것은 그들이 아무리 육신의 양식을 먹어도 그들의 혼이 만족할 수 없으며 그들의 영이 하나님의 말씀을 먹어야만 살 수 있다는 것을 알게 하시기 위함이었던 것입니다.

         하나님의 말씀을 듣지 못하면서 사백 년 동안 살고 있을 때 하나님께서 예수라는 이름으로 그들 앞에 나타나셨습니다. 하나님의 말씀을 먹지 못하고 사백 년을 살았던 유대인들의 모습은 그야말로 비참함 그대로였습니다. 하나님의 말씀을 듣지 못함으로 인해 그들에게 임한 영적인 기근과 갈증은 그들의 혼과 몸에 비참한 형태로 나타났던 것입니다. 예수께서는 그들을 치유하는 일로 쉬시는 날이 없을 정도였습니다.

           하나님께서 선택하신 이스라엘 땅에는 이미 오래 동안 바리새인들과 사두개인들 그리고 서기관들 같은 사탄의 종들이 자리잡고 그의 백성들을 영육 간에 착취하고 있었습니다. 이로 인하여 주님께서 가시는 곳마다 문둥병자, 중풍병자, 소경 같은 육신적인 질병으로 고통 받는 사람들과 마귀 들려서 헤매는 사람들로 가득 차 있었습니다. 그러나 그들은 그들이 하나님의 말씀을 듣지 못함으로 인해 오는 저주인지 몰랐던 것입니다. 그들 대부분이 주님께 나아오는 목적은 병을 고치려는 것이었던 것입니다. 그럼에도 주님께서는 그들의 병들을 고쳐주셨습니다.

               주 하나님께서 그 날들이 오게 될 때에 주의 말씀들을 듣지 못하는 때가 오게 될 것을 말씀하신 것을 묵상해 볼 때, 첫째는 주 하나님께서 말씀하시지 않음으로 인해 주의 종들이 하나님의 말씀을 전하지 못하게 되어 말씀을 듣지 못하는 때가 오게 될 것이며, 둘째로, 하나님께서 주의 종들을 통하여 말씀하시지만 하나님의 음성을 들을 수 없는 때가 올 것이라는 두 가지로 생각할 수 있는 것입니다.

        하나님께서 선지자 이사야에게 말씀하셨습니다:

“이 백성의 마음으로 살찌게 하고, 그들의 귀로 둔해지게 하며, 그들의 눈으로 감기게 하라. 그리하여 그들이 눈으로 보지 못하고, 귀로 듣지도 못하며, 마음으로 깨닫지 못하게 하며, 회심하지도 못하고, 치유받지도 못하게 하라.”(사 6:10)

          하나님께서는 자신의 백성들이 이방 나라들의 우상을 섬기면서 자신을 신뢰하지 않을 때에 그들의 눈과 귀를 둔하게 하여 자신의 말씀들을 알아듣지 못하는 저주 가운데로 인도하셨습니다. 말라기 선지자 이후 사백 년 동안 침묵을 지키시던 하나님께서 예수라는 이름을 가지시고 유대인의 왕으로 나타나셔서 그들에게 말씀하셨지만 그들 역시 로마의 씨저를 그들의 왕으로 섬기면서 그들의 왕이 말씀하시는 진리들을 알아듣지 못하고 그분을 거역하여 십자가에 못박게 되었던 것입니다.

         세상 죄를 제거하시기 위해 죽으신 후 셋째 날에 살아나신 주 예수께서 승천하셔서 하나님 우편에 있는 자신의 자리로 돌아가신 후 그분의 이름으로 오신 성령 하나님께서는 이스라엘 민족들만이 아니고 모든 민족들을 향하여 지난 이천 년 동안 하나님의 말씀을 그의 종들을 통하여 말씀하시고 있는 것입니다. 성령께서 세상을 향하여 하시는 말씀은 책망의 말씀이라고 주님께서 미리 말씀하셨습니다:

“내가 진리를 말하노니 내가 가는 것이 너희에게는 유익하니라. 만일 내가 가지 아니하면 위로자가 너희에게 오지 아니하시리라. 그러나 내가 떠나가면 내가 그분을 너희에게 보낼 것이라. 그분이 오시면 죄에 대하여, 의에 대하여, 심판에 대하여 세상을 책망하시리라. 죄에 대하여라 함은 그들이 나를 믿지 않기 때문이요 위에 대하여라 함은 내가 아버지께 가므로 너희가 나를 다시는 보지 못하기 때문이며 또 심판에 대하여라 함은 이 세상 통치자가 심판을 받기 때문이라.”(요 16:7-11)

         그렇습니다!  성령께서 세상에 오신 후 지난 이천 년 동안 수많은 전도자들을 통하여 주 예수 그리스도를 믿지 않는 것이 죄라고 증거하고 있지만 이 세상 신을 섬기는 민족들은 여전히 그분의 말씀을 듣지 못하는 기근 속에 있으면서도 깨닫지 못하는 시대가 되었습니다.

         주 예수께서 사마리아 수칼 성에 있는 한 여인을 만나셔서 그녀와 말씀하시는 가운데 앞으로 성령께서 오셔서 자신의 교회를 세우시게 될 때의 일을 말씀하셨습니다: “여인아, 나를 믿으라. 너희가 이 산에서나 예루살렘에서도 아버지께 경배하지 않을 그 때가 오리라. 너희는 너희가 알지 못하는 것을 경배하고, 우리는 우리가 경배하는 것을 아노니 이는 구원이 유대인에게서 나오기 때문이라, 그러나 참된 경배자들이 아버지께 영과 진리로 경배드릴 때가 오나니 바로 지금이라. 이는 아버지께서 자기에게 경배드리는 그런 자들을 찾으실 것이니라. 하나님은 한 영이시니 그분께 경배드리는 자들은 영과 진리로 경배드려야만 하리라.”(요 4:21-24)

          주님께서는 자신이 한 번 죽으심으로 세상 죄를 제거하신 후 성령께서 세우실 하나님의 교회의 지체들이 드리는 예배에 대하여 미리 말씀하신 것입니다. 하나님께 예배드리는 사람은 첫째로 자신을 믿고 영접하여 성령으로 다시 태어나는 사람들이 진리, 즉 진실된 마음으로 예배드리는 자들을 찾으신다는 말씀인 것입니다. 진실된 마음이라는 것은 하나님의 마음을 다해 사랑하여 세상이나 세상에 있는 것들을 사랑하지 않는 거룩한 마음이며 언제나 자신의 죄들을 고백함으로 마음의 정결함을 유지하는 하나님의 자녀들의 예배를 받으신다는 것입니다.

         옛날 이스라엘의 제사장들이  번제단을 지나 물이 담겨있는 물두멍에서 손과 발을 씻고 네 개의 문을 통해 성소 안에 들어가야만 금촛대로부터 비치는 조명을 받아 차려 놓은 열두 개의 빵을 먹을 수 있으며 이때에 비로소 향단에서 기도의 향을 피울 수 있었으며 대제사장이 지성소에 들어가 하나님의 음성을 들을 수 있었습니다.

          이와 마찬가지로 이 시대에도 네 개의 문인 사복음서에 나타나신 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜의 복음을 듣고 이천 년 전에 갈보리 십자가라는 제단에서 피를 쏟으시고 죽으신 주 예수 그리스도를 믿고 구원받아 성령으로 다시 태어나야 하는 것입니다. 또한 이때부터는 하나님의 제사장들이 되어 세상 사람들이 죄사함을 받기 위해서 번제단에서 한 번 죽으심으로 영원한 구속을 이루신 주 예수 그리스도를 믿어야 하는 복음을 전해야 하는 것입니다. 비록 주 예수 그리스도의 보혈을 믿음으로 양심이 정결케 되어 혼이 구원을 받았을지라도 세상에 사는 동안에 묻은 더러운 죄들을 고백하여 그리스도의 보혈과 물두멍, 즉 하나님의 말씀 안에서 흘러나오는 물로 씻어야 하는 것입니다. 사도 바울은 이에 대하여 에베소 교회 성도들에게 물로 씻는 것에 대하여, “이는 그가 교회를 말씀에 의한 물로 씻어 거룩하게 하시고 깨끗게 하사 자기 앞에 영광스러운 교회로 나타내서 점이나 주름진 것이나  또한 그러한 것들이 없이 거룩하고 흠 없게 하려 하심이니라.”(엡 5:26-27)고 증거한 것입니다.

           주 예수께서 영과 진리로 경배 드리는 자들을 찾으신다는 말씀을 통해 하나님의 성소에 영적으로 들어가서 성령님의 빛을 받아 그의 기름 부으심을 통해 여섯 개의 빵이 두 줄로 된 빵, 즉 66권의 하나님의 말씀을 들어 깨달을 수 있는 것입니다. 이때에 비로서 향단에 향을 피우는 일, 즉 하나님께 기도를 드릴 수 있는 것입니다. 또한 주 예수께서 죽으심으로써 성소와 지성소 사이에 있는 휘장이 그리스도의 죽으심과 더불어 제거된 이 시대에는 우리의 대 제사장이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 앉아계신 하늘의 지성소에 들어갈 수 있는 것입니다. 사도 바울은 이 엄청난 축복에 대하여 에베소 교회에게 편지했습니다:

“죄들 가운데 죽었던  우리를 그리스도와 함께 살리셨으니 (너희가 은혜로 구원을 받은 것이라.) 또 함께 일으키사 그리스도 예수 안에서 천상에 함께 앉히셨으니 이는 그리스도 예수를 통하여 하나님께서 우리를 향한 그의 인자하심 가운데 그의 은혜의 지극히 풍성함을 오는 시대들에 보여주시려 함이니라.”(엡 2:5-7)

          선지자 아모스를 통하여 말씀하실 때, 사람들이 바다에서 바다까지, 북쪽에서 동쪽까지 방황할 것이요, 사람들이 주의 말씀을 찾으려고 이리저리 달릴 것이나 그것을 찾지 못할 것이며 그날에는 아름다운 처녀들과 청년들이 갈증으로 인하여 쇠잔하리라고 말씀하셨습니다. 몸이 필요한 영양소들을 균형 있게 섭취해야만 건강한 삶을 살 수 있는 것처럼 영적인 영양소들, 교리와 책망과 바로잡음과 의로 훈육하는 말씀들(딤후 3:16)을 골고루 먹어야 영적인 기근과 갈증 없는 성령 충만한 삶을 누릴 수 있는 것입니다.

              이 시대에 사는 사람들은 육신의 정욕을 채우는 일에 열심을 내며 살면서 그것들로 만족을 얻으려고 이리저리 달리며 북쪽에서 동쪽으로 바다에서 바다까지 방황하면서 재물을 모으면서 살고 있는 것을 봅니다. 하나님의 교회를 다닌다고 하면서 주일마다 예배 드리는 사람들마저도 성전 뜰만 밟고 성소에 들어가지 못함으로 인해 하나님의 말씀을 들어도 깨닫지 못하는 시대가 된 것입니다. 부활하신 예수께서 사도 요한에게 나타나셔서 라오디게아인의 교회에게 하신 말씀 속에서 우리는 이 마지막 때 교회들이 처한 현실을 볼 수 있는 것입니다: “네가 말하기를 ‘나는 부자며, 부요하고, 아무 것도 부족함이 없다.’고 하지만 너는 비참하고, 가련하며, 가난하고, 눈멀고, 헐벗은 것을 알지 못하는도다. 내가 너에게 권고하노니 내게서 불로 단련된 금을 사서 부요하게 되고, 흰 옷을 사서 입음으로 너의 벌거벗은 수치를 드러내지 않게 하며, 또 안약을 네 눈에 발라 보게 하라.”(계 3:17-18) 아멘!

Scripture: Amos 8: 11-14

Word Title: The days of famine of not hearing the words of the LORD God

        The Lord God will send a famine in the land, in those days spoken through the mouth of the prophet Amos. The famine is not the one of no bread and waters starving men to death because of no rain at all, but the spiritual famine shall be coming without hearing the words of the LORD God.

        God had not spoken unto  the Israelites for four hundred years after spoken through the prophet Malachi because of their sins. Through the ancient prophets Moses, the LORD God spoke unto them “…. he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.” (Deut. 8:03)  To make  the children of Israel humble passing through the wilderness, God brought forth hunger unto  them. He also fed them with manna that their ancestors did not know when they cried out to God, so that they might know that physical food is not enough to satisfy their souls; and their spirit need the words of God.

         The LORD God was manifested in flesh in the name of Jesus before their eyes after they had lived without the words of God for four hundred years. Their spiritual situation was so much miserable. The spiritual famine and thirst as the result of not hearing the words of God four hundreds of years were revealed unto their flesh as well as soul. Jesus had to spent all his days for healing them without rest.

           The Pharisees and Sadducees, and the scribes, such as Satan’s servant were ruling over the Jews to steal them physically and spiritually. Due to this, wherever Jesus went, there were filled with  lepers, paralytics, blind people and men possessed by the devil.. But they did not know that the curse was come because they did not listen to the Word of God. The purpose of most of them came unto Him only to cured disease itself. Nevertheless, the Lord healed all their diseases.

               Meditating the days to come when men cannot hear the words of the LORD God,  firstly, the servants of God don’t have the words of God because God not speak unto them; secondly, men cannot hear the words of God because they have not the ears to hear the voice of God.

        God said to the prophet Isaiah:

” Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.” (Isaiah 6:10)

           God led them not to understand his word making their eyes blinded, and their ears heavy, because they  not trusted in the LORD God , but rather worshipped the gods of the Gentiles. The LORD God had been in silence not speaking unto them anymore for four hundred years. Finally, the LORD God appeared unto them in the name of Jesus, as the king of the Jews, and said unto them, but they were still worshipping the king of Roman Empire. They still couldn’t understand the word of truth spoken by their king, and ended up with crucifying him of the cross.

         Since Jesus died to take away the sin of the world, and rose again the third day; and he returned to his seat at the right hand of God. The Holy Ghost came to the word in the name of Jesus; and he has been speaking the words of God through his servants not only unto the Jews but also all nations of people for last two thousand years. Jesus spoke unto his disciples that the Holy Ghost shall reprove the world: :” Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me;  Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”(John 16: 7-11).

         That’s right! Although the Holy Ghost has been testifying of the sin because they not believing in Jesus through his servants for the last two thousand years, all the nations of people have been worshipping the god of the world not understanding of their famine of not hearing the words of God.  Lord Jesus met a woman in the city of Sychar in Samaria.

        He spoke unto her of the thing when the Holy Ghost is to come to build his church: ”  Woman,believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.  Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.“(John 4: 21-24).

          Jesus foretold unto the woman of the worship service of the members of the church of God to be built by the Holy Ghost after he dies once to take away the sin of the world. Jesus spoke of them that worship the Father God; they are born again of the Holy Ghost through believing in him and receive him. The father God is looking for them that worship him with true heart. True heart is holy one to love God with all the heart not loving the world and things within. The holy heart is to confess the sins to keep the heart pure; God the Father is willing to receive the worship in truth.

         Ancient Israel the priests wash their hands and feet in a basin that over the altar contained water can go through the four doors, and  eat twelve bread anointed by the golden candlesticks in the Holy Place. Then they are able to pray at the altar. And the High Priest enters into the Most High Place to hear the voice of the LORD God.

           Similarly, in this age, we hear the gospel of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ through the books of four gospel in the scripture; and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that died shedding  the blood at the Calvary that is the altar to be born again of the Spirit unto salvation/  And henceforth, as the priests of God, we have to preach the gospel of Christ of his eternal redemption through his death only one time. Even though we are saved by the blood of Christ purifying our conscience, we are still to confess our sins to be cleansed by the blood of Christ as well as waters flowing out of the words of God as the ancient priest washed their hands and feet with waters. Apostle Paul testified of cleansing with waters unto the saints of Ephesians church:   , ” That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”(Ephesians 5: 26-27)

           To worship the Father God in spirit and in truth, we have to enter into the spiritual Holy Place, and receive the light of the Holy Ghost to understand the sixty six books of the words of God through the anointment of the Spirit  that were twelve breads in the Holy Place. Then, we can pray unto God as the priests went forward the altar. Since the veil between the Holy Place and the Most High Place was torn into two through tthe death of Christ Jesus, we are able to enter into the Most High Place in heaven where the Lord Jesus Christ, our High Priest spiritually. Apostle Paul wrote a letter unto the Ephesians of such a great blessing: for us :  “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. “(Ephesians 2: 5-7).          

         The Lord God spoke through prophet Amos, “And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.“(Amos 8:12-13)

           As our body needs balance nutrition to be sound body, we have to receive the spiritual nutrition in the words of God that are for doctrine, fir reproof, for  correction and for instruction in righteousness(2Tim. 3:16) to be filled with Holy Ghost without ssspiritual famine as well as spiritual thirst.   

       People in this age hang around eagering to work to fill the lust of the flesh, to live with them while trying to get the satisfaction wandering from north to east, and  from sea to sea to try to live accumulating all riches. Even those who worship every week only ssstep on the court of the temple so that they cannot enter into the Holy Place so that they cannot hear the words of God even hearing it sitting at the pew. We can see the present situation of the churches in the end time in the words of God spoken unto the church of Laodecians: :” Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.“(Revelation 3: 17-18) Amen!
