금주의 묵상: 시편 20:1-9

본문말씀: 시편 37:1-11

말씀제목: 하나님께서 주신 소원을 가지고 행하고 있는가?

           모든 사람은 마음 속에 생각이 있으며 생각 속에 소원을 가지고 그 소원이 이루어질 것을 상상하면서 어떤 일을 계획하며 살아가는 것을 봅니다. 하나님께서는 모든 사람들의 마음과 생각과 상상을 들여다보고 계신다고 성경은 말씀하고 있습니다:

“하나님께서 사람의 사악함이 세상에 창대해짐과 그 마음의 생각의 상상이 악할 뿐임을 보시고 주께서 땅 위에 사람을 지으셨음을 후회하셨으니, 그 일이 그의 마음을 비통케 하였더라.”(창 6:5-6)

        그렇습니다! 하나님께서는 사람이 어떤 악한 일을 행하기 이전에 그 마음 속에 잇는 악한 것들을 보고 계시는 것입니다. 다윗 왕은 자신이 모태에 잉태되었을 때부터 하나님께서 자신이 어떤 사람인지 이미 알고 계셨다고 고백했습니다:

“내가 은밀한 가운데서 지음을 받고 땅의 가방 낮은 부분들에서 기묘하게 지음을 받았을 때 나의 형체가 주로부터 숨겨지지 아니하였나이다. 내 형체가 완성되기도 전에 주의 눈이 그것을 보셨으며 나의 지체들이 전혀 없고 형성되어 가는 중에도 주의 책에는 그것들이 다 기록되어 있었나이다. 오, 하나님이여 주의 생각들이 내게 또한 얼마나 귀중한지요! 그 수가 얼마나 많은지요? 내가 그것들을 헤아리려 하면  수는 모래보다 더 많나이다. 내가 깨어날 때 여전히 주와 함께 있나이다.”(시 135:15-18)

        하나님께서는 사람이 태어나기도 전에 그 사람의 마음 속에 있는 것들을 미리 보시고 어떤 사람은 사랑하시고 어떤 사람은 미워하시기까지 하신다고 성경은 말씀하고 있습니다:

“주가 말하노니, 내가 너희를 사랑하였노라. 그러나 너희는 말하기를 ‘주께서 어떻게 우리를 사랑하셨나이까?’ 하는도다. 주가 말하노니, 에서는 야곱의 형제가 아니냐? 그러나 내가 야곱은 사랑하였고, 에서는 미워하였으며, 그의 산들과 그의 기업을 광야의 용들을 위하여 황폐하게 두었느니라.”(말 1:2-3)

           사도 바울은 하나님께서 야곱을 사랑하시어 택하시고 그의 자손들로 하여금 택한 민족이 되게 하신 하나님의 주권적인 능력에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“약속의 말씀은 이것이니 ‘이때쯤에 내가 오리니 사라에게 아들이 있으리라.’하신 것이라. 그뿐 아니라 리브카도 한 사람, 곧 우리 조상 이삭에 의하여 잉태되었는데 (아직 자식들이 나지도 아니하였고 또한 무슨 선이나 악을 행하지도 아니하였을 때 택하심을 따른 하나님의 목적이 행함으로 의해서가 아니라 부르시는 그분에 의해 있게 하시려고) 그녀에게 말씀하시기를 ‘형이 아우를 섬기리라.’ 고 하셨으니 기록된 바 ‘내가 야곱은 사랑하였고 에서는 미워하였노라.’ 함과 같으니라.”(롬 9:9-13)

          하나님께서는 오래 전에 살았던 욥을 미리 보시고 그가 어떤 사람인지에 대하여 사탄에게 말씀하셨습니다:

“너는 내 종 욥을 유의해 보았느냐? 세상에 그와 같은 사람은 아무도 없나니 그는 온전하고 정직한 사람으로 하나님을 두려워하고 악을 피하는 자니라.”(욥 1:8)

          하나님을 두려워하고 악을 피하는 것은 자신을 지으신 하나님을 사랑하는 것입니다. 하나님을 사랑하는 사람은 단지 그분을 두려워하고 악을 피하는 삶을 살면서 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 사람인 것입니다. 세상도 정욕도 따라가지 않고 오직 자신을 부인하며 십자가를 지고 주님을 따라가는 사람만이 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 사람인 것입니다. 하나님께서 사람의 몸을 입으시고 오셨을 때 제자들에게 하신 말씀 가운데 주님을 기쁘시게 하는 사람이 어떤 사람인지 친히 말씀하셨습니다:

“누구든지 나를 따라오려거든 자기를 부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 따르라….아버지나 어머니를 나보다 더 사랑하는 사람은 나에게 합당치 아니하고, 아들이나 딸을 나보다 더 사랑하는 사람도 나에게 합당치 아니하며 또 자기 십자가를 지지 않고 나를 따르는 자도 나에게 합당치 아니하니라.”(마 16:24; 10:37-38)

       성령께서 다윗의 입을 통하여 풀같이 베어져 없어져버릴 악인들로 인하여 초조해 하지도 말고 죄악을 행하여 악한 방법으로 재물을 모으는 자들을 시기하지도 말라고 말씀하고 있습니다. 다만 주를 신뢰하고 선을 행하면 하나님께서 모든 것들을 공급하신다고 말씀하고 있습니다. 뿐만 아니라, 주님을 기뻐하면 마음 속에 소원을 주신다고 말씀하고 잇습니다. 하나님께서 주신 소원을 이루기 위하여 모든 것을 주님께 맡기고 신뢰하면 그분께서 이루어주실 것이라는 약속의 말씀을 주신 것입니다.

        사도 바울은 빌립보 교회 성도들에게 편지할 때 하나님께서 자신의 뜻을 이루시기 위하여 소원을 주신다고 증거했습니다:

“그러므로 나의 사랑하는 자들아, 너희가 항상 복종했던 것처럼 내가 있을 때뿐만 아니라 내가 없는 지금도 더욱더 떨림으로 너희 구원을 온전히 이루라. 이는 너희 안에서 역사하시는 분은 하나님이시니 그분은 너희로 그분의 선한 기쁘심에 따라 뜻을 두고 행하게 하시느니라.”(빌 2:12-13)

            그렇습니다! 주님을 기쁘시게 함으로 그분께로부터 받는 소원은 육신의 정욕이나 안목의 정욕이나 생의 자랑을 이루기 위한 소원이 아니라 하나님의 뜻을 행하고자 하는 소원인 것입니다. 그러나 하나님의 뜻을 행하는 일에는 십자가가 따르는 것입니다. 그러므로 예수께서 자신을 따라오는 제자들에게 자기를 부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고 따라오라고 말씀하신 것입니다. 아버지 하나님께서 모든 사람을 구원하시려는 뜻을 아들이신 예수님 안에 소원으로 주셔서 그분께서 기꺼이 십자가를 지시고 죽으신 것입니다. 성령께서는 히브리서 기자를 통하여 아버지 하나님의 뜻을 기꺼이 행하시겠다는 주님의 서원을 증거하고 있습니다: “그때 내가 말씀 드리기를 ‘오 하나님이여, 보소서, (두루마리 책에 나에 관하여 기록한 것과 같이 주의 뜻을 행하려고 내가 왔나이다.”(히 10:7)

           성령께서는 다윗의 입을 통하여 자신을 부인하고 십자가를 지고 자신을 희생제물로 드려 하나님의 뜻을 행하는 사람들을 위하여 기도하게 하셨습니다:

“주께서 고난의 날에 네게 들으시고 야곱의 하나님의 이름이 너를 지키시며 성소로부터 네게 도움을 보내시고 시온으로부터 네게 힘을 주시며 너의 모든 제사들을 기억하시며 네 번제와 희생을 받으시기를 원하며, 셀라. 네 마음을 따라 네게 허락하시고 네 모든 계획을 이루시기를 원하노라. 우리가 너의 구원을 즐거워하며 우리 하나님의 이름으로 우리의 깃발을 세우리니, 주께서 너의 모든 간구를 이루시기를 원하노라.'(시 20:1-5)

            주님께서 하나님 아버지의 뜻을 이루시기 위하여 모든 사람들을 위하여 희생제물로 드리신 것처럼 우리 또한 우리의 몸을 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제물로 드려야 하는 것입니다. 이것이 우리가 하나님께 드림 합당한 예배(롬 12:1)라고 사도 바울이 증거했습니다. 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 예배는 종교행위가 아닌 것입니다.

             사도 바울은 항상 오직 하나님의 교회를 위하여 염려하면서 그들이 하나님의 뜻을 온전히 수행하고 하늘 나라에 가도록 하기 위하여 자신의 몸을 교회들을 위한 염려들로 채웠다고 고백했습니다. 그가 돌에 맞아 잠시 죽었다가 살아났을 때 그를 돌로 친 성읍에 있는 교회로 가서 제자들의 혼을 강건케 해 주고 그들이 믿음 안에 계속 거하도록 권고하면서 “우리가 많은 환난을 거쳐서 하나님의 나라에 들어가야 한다.”(행 14:22)고 권면했습니다.

          그렇습니다! 우리가 현재 받는 고난은 앞으로 받을 영광에 감히 비교되지 못하는 것입니다(롬 8:18). 또한 우리가 주님과 함께 고난 받으며 참으면 그분과 함께 다스리는 영광을 받게 되는 것입니다(딤후 2;12) 하나님이신 예수께서도 고난 받으신 만큼 영광을 받으셨다고 성경은 증거하고 있습니다(빌 2:9-11)

This week’s meditation: Psalms 20: 1-9

Scripture Psalm 37: 1-11

Word Title: Are you walking in the will of God?

           Everyone sees some idea in mind and have a desire to live in thought and imagination that made him wish and plan something. God look into the mind and heart and imagination of man.  The scripture says: ” And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart” (Genesis 6: 5 6)

        That’s right! God sees the evil things  in the heart of man even before he carry out any evil. King David testified that God already knew of him when he was conceived in the womb:  ” My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.“(Psalm 135: 15-18).

            God  sees in advance the things in the person’s mind before his birth; and he love someone, and hate the others according to the scripture: ” I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob, And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness. “(Malachi 1: 2-3)

           Apostle Paul testified that God loved Jacob, and made his children chosen nation according to the sovereign power of God  : ” For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son. And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.”(Romans 9: 9-13)

          God said to Satan of Job who lived long time ago knowing of him:   Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?” (Job 1: 8)

          The fear of God and avoiding evil is the love of God who made himself. Who loves God is the only person to live a life that pleases God, fear Him and avoid evil. Only them that  not follow their own lusts, and also take up the cross and follow the Lord  please God. God became a man, and said unto the disciples of the one that pleases God: ” If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me….  He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.  And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. “(Matthew 16:24; 10: 37-38)

          The Holy Ghost spoke through the mouth of David saying, pret not thyself because of the evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity making money in the evil ways. And said to trust in the LORD, then God will supply with all their needs. And also said, Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he  shall give thee the desires of thine heart; and commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

        Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Philippians saying, God shall give unto them the desires to fulfill his will: “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.“(Philippians 2: 12-13).

            That’s right! The desires from God through pleasing him is not of the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life at all, but of fulfilling the will of God.  But doing the will of God, there will follow the cross. Therefore, Jesus spoke unto his disciples to follow denying themselves, and taking up their own cross. The Father God gave Jesus  his will to save all men; and he voluntarily took up the cross, and died thereon. The writer of the book of Hebrew testified of the vow  of Jesus to do the will of the Father with pleasure::  “Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. “(Hebrews 10:07)

           The Holy Ghost used the mouth of David to pray for them that deny themselves, and take up their cross, and submit sacrificing offering to do the will of God:

 ” The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfill all thy counsel. We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfill all thy petitions. “(Psalm 20: 1-5)

            As the Lord Jesus gave himself as a sacrifice for all men to fulfill the will of the Father God, we also should present our own body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service as Apostle Paul testified.  The service that pleases God is not a ritual service at all.

            Apostle Paul always filled  the concern for the Church of God unto his body so that they may perform fully the will of God, and go to the kingdom of God. he was stoned to death, and rose up again from the death; and went into the city where he was stoned again to visit the church therein to confirm the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and said unto them: “We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”(Acts 14″22)

          That’s right! The sufferings  of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us(Rom. 8:18) If we suffer, we shall reign with Christ gloriously(2Tim 2;12). The scripture testifies, even Jesus our Lord God receive the glory as much as he suffered.(Philippians 2: 9-11)
