금주의 묵상: 시편 14:1-7

본문말씀: 잠언 4:1-27

제목: 하나님의 지혜로 충만하기를 원하는가?

           하나님께서는 성경 전체를 통하여 하나님의 지혜에 대하여 말씀하고 있습니다. 그러므로 하나님의 지혜가 무엇인지 깨닫기 위해서는 성경말씀들을 자세히 살펴보면서 한절 한절 먹어야 하는 것입니다. 세상 사람들도 물질세상에서 성공하는 지혜를 얻기 위하여 학교에서 열심히 공부하고 연구할 뿐만 아니라 삶의 지혜를 주는 모든 정보들을 여러 가지 매체들을 통하여 얻고자 동분서주하고 있는 것입니다.

          오늘 우리는 본문 말씀을 비롯해서 성경에서 하나님의 지혜가 무엇인지 깨닫는 시간이 되시기 바랍니다. 또한 하나님의 지혜가 무엇인지 깨닫게 될 때에 계속 말씀을 통해서 하나님의 지혜로 충만하게 되는 축복을 받으시기를 바라는 것입니다.

         성령께서는 솔로몬 왕이 자신의 아들들에게 주는 훈계를 통해서 우리에게 교훈하고 계시는 것입니다:

“지혜를 얻고 명철을 얻으라. 그것을 잊지 말며 내 입의 말들을 외면하지 말라. 지혜를 버리지 말라. 그리하면 그것이 너를 보호하리라. 지혜를 사랑하라. 그리하면 그것이 너를 지켜주리라. 지혜는 으뜸가는 것이니 지혜를 얻으라. 또 네가 얻은 모든 것으로 명철을 얻으라. 지혜를 높이라. 그리하면 그것이 너를 높이리라. 네가 지혜를 품을 때 그것이 너에게 존귀를 가져다 주리라. 지혜가 네 머리에 은혜의 장식을 씌우며 영광의 면류관을 가져다 주리라. 오 내 아들아, 내가 말하는 것을 듣고 받아들이라. 그리하면 네 생명의 연수가 많으리라…..내 아들아 내 말들에 주의를 기울이고 , 내가 말하는 것들에 귀를 기울이라. 그것들을 네 눈에서 떠나지 않게 하고, 네 마음 속에 간직하라. 이는 그것들이 그것들을 발견하는 자들에게  생명이 되며 그들의 온 육체에 건강이 됨이라.”(잠 4:5-10,20-22)

         솔로몬 왕이 어린 나이에 왕이 되었습니다. 그는 하나님의 자녀들을 통치할 수 있는 지혜를 구하기 위하여 일천 번제를 드렸을 때 나타나신 하나님께 지혜를 구했습니다. 장수나 재물을 구하지 않고 하나님의 지혜를 구한 솔로몬 왕에게 하나님께서는 지혜뿐만 아니라 재물과 명예까지 주셨습니다.(왕상 3:4-13). 그는 하나님께로부터 받은 지혜와 명철을 가지고 하나님의 백성들을 통치할 수 있었던 것입니다.

            성령께서는 하나님께서 주시는 지혜와 명철이 어떤 것인지에 대하여 말씀 전체를 통하여 우리에게 말씀하고 있습니다. 이는 우리로 하여금 솔로몬처럼 하나님께 지혜를 구하는 명철을 주시기 위한 것입니다. 오늘 한 주를 시작하기 전에 하나님께서 주시는 지혜가 어떤 것인지 말씀들을 통하여 깨닫는 시간이 되시기 바라는 것입니다.

       하나님께서는 땅의 만물들을 창조하실 때에 그들 모두를 지혜로 지으시고 땅을 주의 풍요로 가득 차게 하셨습니다(시 104:24). 뿐만 아니라 하나님께서는 지혜로 하늘들을 지으셨습니다(시 136:5). 다시 말해서 하나님의 지혜는 그분의 말씀 안에 있으며 하나님의 지혜는 창조의 능력이 있는 것입니다.

          하나님께서 정직한 자라고 인정하신 욥은 지혜에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“또 사람에게 말씀하시기를 ‘보라, 주를 두려워함이 곧 지혜요, 악에서 떠나는 것이 명철이니라.’ 하셨느니라.”(욥 28:28) 주를 두려워하는 것은 그분의 말씀에 떨며 순종하는 지혜를 증거한 것입니다.

            선지자 이사야는 주 예수 그리스도를 믿는 자가 받는 성령에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“주의 영이 그의 위에 머물리니 지혜와 명철의 영이요, 계획과 능력의 영이며, 지식과 주를 두려워하는 영이라.”(사 11:2)

           지혜이신 하나님께서 사람이 되셔서 아버지 하나님께 기도하실 때에 자신의 지혜를 어떤 사람들에게 주시는 것인지에 대하여 말씀하셨습니다:

“오 하늘과 땅의 주이신 아버지시여, 이런 일들을 지혜롭고 슬기로운 자들에게는 숨기시고 어린 아기들에게 나타내심을 감사하나이다. 그러하옵니다. 아버지여, 이는 그렇게 하시는 것이 아버지 보시기에 선함이니이다. 내 아버지께서 내게 모든 것을 주셨으니, 아버지 외에는 아들을 아는 사람이 아무도 없고, 또 아들과 아들이 아버지를 계시하고자 하는 자 외에는 아버지를 아는 사람이 아무도 없나이다.”(마 11:25-27)

         주님께서는 자신이 바로 솔로몬에게 지혜를 주셨던 주 하나님이심을 증거하셨습니다:

“남방의 여왕이 심판 때에 이 세대의 사람들과 함께 일어나서 그들을 정죄하리라. 이는 그 여왕이 솔로몬의 지혜를 얻으려고 땅의 맨 끝에서 왔음이라. 그러나, 보라, 솔로몬보다 더 위대한 이가 여기 있느니라.”(눅 11:31)

          성령을 통하여 하나님의 지혜를 충만하게 받은 사도 바울은 하나님의 지혜에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“오 깊도다, 하나님의 지혜와 지식의 부요함이여! 그분의 심판을 어찌 헤아리며 그분의 지나간 길을 어찌 찾아내리요? 누가 주의 생각을 알았느냐? 누가 그분의 의논자가 되었느냐? 누가 먼저 그분께 드려서 되돌려 받겠느냐? 이는 만물이 그분께로부터 나와 그분을 통하여 그분께로 돌아감이라. 영광이 그분께 영원히 있으리로다. 아멘.”(롬 11:33-36)

           모든 사람들을 포함하여 모든 만물들이 하나님께로 돌아가는 지혜를 깨달은 사도 바울은 로마에 있는 성도들에게 하나님께 드리는 합당한 예배와 이 세상에서 어떤 사람을 살아야 하는 가에 대하여 분명하게 증거했습니다: “그러므로 형제들아, 내가 하나님의 모든 자비하심으로 너희에게 권고하노니, 너희 몸을 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제물로 드리라. 이것이 너희가 드릴 합당한 예배니라. 너희는 이 세상과 일치하지 말고 너희 마음을 새롭게 함으로써 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 입증하도록 하라.”(롬 12:1-2)

          그는 복음을 전할 때에 말의 지혜로 한다면 그리스도의 십자가를 헛되게 하는 것이라고 증거했습니다(고전 1;17). 그는 세상에는 지혜 있는 자도 없고 학자도 없으며 변론가도 없다고 증거하면서 하나님께서 이 세상의 지혜를 어리석게 만드셨다고 증거했습니다(고전 1:20). 그는 또한 하나님의 지혜에 대하여 세상의 지혜로는 하나님을 알지 못하였기에 하나님께서 복음 전파의 어리석음으로 믿는 자들을 구원하시기를 기뻐하셨다고 증거했습니다(고전 1:21). 또한 하나님으로부터 부르심을 받은 사람들에게는, 유대인들에게나 헬라인들에게나, 그리스도는 하나님의 능력이시며 또 하나님의 지혜라고 증거했습니다(고전 1:24)

          세상 사람들이 볼 때에 어리석게 보이는 하나님의 지혜를 받은 사도 바울은  고린도교회 성도들에게 자신의 설교에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“또 내 말과 네 설교를 설득력 있는 인간의 지혜의 말로 하지 않고 성령과 능력을 나타냄으로 하였으니 이는 너희의 믿음이 인간의 지혜에 있게 하지 아니하고 하나님의  능력에 있게 하려 함이라.”(고전 2:4-5)

          성령께서는 사도 바울의 입을 통하여 하나님의 지혜가 아닌 세상적인 지혜들에 대하여 증거하게 하셨습니다:

“그러나 우리가 온전한 자들 가운데서 지혜를 말하노니 이는 이 세상의 지혜도 아니요, 무로 돌아갈 세상 통치자들의 지혜도 아니니라. “(고전 2:6)

          또한 하나님의 지혜에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“다만 우리가 신비 속에 있는 하나님의 지혜를 말하노니 이는 하나님께서 세상 전에 우리의 영광을 위하여 미리 정하신 감추어진 지혜니라. 이 지혜는 이 세상 통치자들 가운데서는 아무도 몰랐노라. 만일 그들이 알았더라면 영광의 주를 십자가에 못박지는 아니하였으리라. 그러나 기록된 바와 같으니 ‘하나님께서 자기를 사랑하는 자들을 위하여 예비하신 것들은  눈으로 보지도 못하였고 귀로 듣지도 못하였으며 인간의 마음 속에 들어온 적도 없었느니라.’ 한 것이라. 그러나 하나님께서 이것들을 우리에게 그의 영으로 나타내셨으니 이는 성령께서는 모든 것, 심지어 하나님의 깊은 것들까지도 통찰하시기 때문이라. 사람의 일을 그 사람 안에 있는 사람의 영이 아니면 누가 알리요? 이와 같이 하나님의 일도 하나님의 영이 아니면 아무도 모르느니라. 우리가 세상의 영을 받지 아니하고 오직 하나님께로부터 온 영을 받았으니 이는 우리로 하나님께서 우리에게 값없이 주신 것들을 알게 하려 하심이라. 또한 우리가 그것들을 말하되 인간의 지혜가 가르치는 말로 하지 아니하고 성령께서 가르치시는 말로 하나니 영적인 일들을 영적으로 비교하여 말하느니라.”(고전 2:7-13)

          그렇습니다! 성령으로 나지 못한 자연인은 하나님의 영이 말씀하신 말씀들을 어리석게 여겨지며 알 수도 없는 것입니다. 왜냐하면, 그 일들은 영적으로만 분별되기 때문인 것입니다(고전 2:14).

             사도 바울은 에베소교회에게 편지할 때에 하나님 아버지를 아는 지식  안에서 그들에게 지혜와 계시의 영을 주셔서 그들의 지성의 눈을 밝히셔서 부르심의 소망이 무엇이며 성도들 안에 있는 그의 유업의 풍성함이 무엇인지 알기를 원한다고 말했습니다. 그렇습니다! 하나님의 지혜는 말씀 속에 있는 하나님에 대한 지식 안에서 받게 되는 것입니다(엡 1:17-18).

          야고보 사도는 하나님께 지혜를 구할 것에 대하여 증거했습니다: “너희 중에 누가 지혜가 부족하면, 모든 사람에게 아낌없이 주시고 꾸짖지 아니하시는 하나님께 구하라. 그러면 그분께서 주실 것이니라.”(약 1:5)

            하나님께 지혜를 구하는 길은 하나님의 지혜의 말씀을 자세히 살펴보면서 말씀 안에 있는 감추어진 지혜를 찾아야 하는 것입니다. 또한 그분의 말씀들을 순종할 때에 영원히 후회 없는 삶을 살 수 있는 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

This week’s meditation: Psalms 14:1-7

Scripture: Proverbs 4: 1-27

Title: Do you want to be filled with the wisdom of God?

           God speaks of the wisdom of God throughout all the scriptures. Therefore, to realize what is the wisdom of God is to eat the words of God book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse in details. The people in the also are so busy to seek the wisdom for their successful life financially; they study hard in school, and continuously  accumulate various kinds of information through the medias.

          Today we hope to understand what the wisdom of God is through the scriptures including the main passage given unto us. We also may be blessed to be filled with the wisdom of God through understanding.

         The Holy Ghost teaches us through the words of King Solomon given to his son: ” Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.…… My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh“(Proverbs 4: 5-10,20- 22)

             Solomon became the king of Israel in his young age. He submitted a thousand burnt offering unto the LORD God to seek the wisdom of God so that he might be able to judge the people of Israel.  God gave him not only wisdom but also rich and honor, because he never asked for himself long life; neither riches for himself. (I Kings 3: 4-13). he was able to judge the people of Israel with the wisdom and understanding.

            The Holy Ghost has spoken to us through the whole scriptures of the wisdom and understanding from God so that we may be wise to ask for the wisdom of God as Solomon. Before we begin a new week, we may be blessed to understand of the wisdom of God.  

          When God created all things in the earth, he  made them in his wisdom; and then all the earth  was full of his riches (Ps. 104:24). He also made heavens by his wisdom(Ps. 136:5). In other word, the wisdom of God is in his word; and the wisdom of God has the power of creation.

          God recognized Job as the upright. He testified of the wisdom of God: ” And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.. “(Job 28:28)

He witnessed, the fear of the LORD is to tremble before the words of God, and obey them.

            Prophet Isaiah testified of the Holy Spirit gievn unto them that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ:

” And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;“ (Isaiah 11:02)

           God of wisdom manifested in flesh; he spoke of what kind of people he will give his wisdom:

” I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.  Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.  All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.“(Matthew 11: 25-27)

         The Lord Jesus testified of himself as the LORD God that had given the wisdom unto king Solomon:

”  The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here..” (Luke 11:31)

          Apostle Paul also testified of the wisdom of God through the Holy Ghost being filled with the wisdom:      ” O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. “(Romans 11: 33-36)

           Apostle Paul understood of all things for of him, and through him, and to him through the wisdom of God. He testified unto the Roman Christians of the reasonable service as well as reasonable life style very clearly:

 ” I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God “(Romans 12: 1-2)

          He testified that it would make  the cross of Christ of none effect, if he preaches the gospel with wisdom of words (1 Cor. 1: 17). He also testified saying, Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? (I Corinthians 1:20). Of the wisdom of God, he also testified saying, for after that in the wisdom of God. It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe(1Cor. 1:21)  In addition, unto them which are called , both Jews and Greeks, Christ power of God, and wisdom of God (1Cor. 1:24)

          The apostles received the wisdom of God the world look foolish when people see the evidence against Paul in his sermon to the church in Corinth:

“And not the words of my words and your sermon linking human wisdom convincing the hath to represent the Holy Ghost and with power because he tried to be in the power of God nor to make of your faith in human wisdom.” (I Corinthians 2:04 -5)

          Apostle Paul received the wisdom of God which is seen foolish unto the world; he testified of his preaching unto the saints of Corinthians: ” 4And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (I Corinthians 2:06)

        The Holy Ghost made Apostle Paul testified of the wisdom in the world not from God:

“Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:”(1Cor. 2:6)

          He continued to testify of the wisdom of God: It was also witness to the wisdom of God: ” But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.“(1 Corinthians 2: 7-13)

          That’s right! The natural man that is not born of the Spirit of God consider the words of God as foolish; he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned (1Cor. 14)   

             Apostle Paul sent a letter unto the Ephesians saying,  “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,  (Eph. 1: 17-18).

          Apostle James encouraged to ask for the wisdom of God: .” If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” (James 1:5)

       Only the way to ask for the wisdom of God is to search the words of God to find out the hidden wisdom within them. Obeying his words of wisdom, we shall have our life not repenting at all forever.  Amen! Hallelujah!
