The Meditations of the Week: Psalm 1: 1-6

Text: Psalm 19: 1-14

The title of the Word: The sun rising in the new year and the Sun of righteousness rising in the New Era

        In Satan’s reigning world, the sensible religion he has created is to worship the things God created such as the sun, the moon, countless stars, and all other creatures. He also caused the same delusion to the chosen nation Israel, so that they would serve the sun and the moon and stars. Because of this, God was angry with them. God gave the message of judgment to those who serve the sun, moon, and stars through the prophet Jeremiah:

 ” And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.”(Jer 8: 2)

           It is because they were influenced by the Babylonian religion that they worshiped God’s wrathful creatures. Today, modern Babylon, the larger Babylonian religions in Rome, is filled with acts of sun and moon service. We often see that in Mexico, which we frequently visit, is influenced by the Babylonian religion that serves the sun and moon. In addition, all the flags of Islamic countries serving the moon gods have crescent moon and stars. In the flag of Japan, as we know,  the whole flag gained by the sun shining red. Also, in Korea, every year when the New Year’s morning, many people want to see the sun rising from the East Coast to pray for the blessing from the sun. In North Korea, the ruler himself has become the sun and is being worshiped by people. God is angry with those who worship His creations because Satan has been making trick to make people worship Him.

           The Bible witnesses God’s purpose for making the sun, the moon, and the stars:

” And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day “(Genesis 1: 14-19)

         In the text, King David testified that God made the sun, the moon, and the stars that the heavens proclaimed the glory of God and revealed His works. That all the generations of the created heavenly things represent the glory of God that created them, that they should not worship them, and that if they worship the God who made them, they should glorify.

       King David also testified about the sun: ” Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. “(Psalm 19: 5-6)

           The apostle Paul recognized one mystery in the Holy Spirit and testified that the church of God that is the body of Christ  is his bride:

 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.“(Ephesians 5: 30-32)

        King David testified about the law that the LORD God gave to the people by showing the light of man’s spirit to realize that man is a sinner and has to repent:

” The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.”(Psalm 19: 7-11)

           That’s right! King David realized that as the melody of the sun spreads across the whole earth and their light is all the way to the end of the world, the light of life in the Word of God shone through the body of a man of clay, It is a testimony that you will receive the light of life. The apostle Paul also testified saying, for the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

        Therefore, King David testified through the words of God that he was warned and that he had come to understand the sins he had created on purpose. When he prayed, he prayed for the light of the Word of righteousness to light the words of his mouth and the meditation of the heart before God.

           The last prophet, Malachi, testified of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ as the sun of righteousness in the world. In other words, he testified about what would happen when he finally rise again like the sun, who set when he died two thousand years ago:”  For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the  soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts. Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.“(Mal 4: 1-4)

             That’s right! Our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Sun of righteousness, who was slain by the wicked man two thousand years ago, as the sun rises in the morning coming down down from heaven not from the East Sea to open a new era through establishing his kingdom on the earth. Everyone in the world must now decide whether or not to be  burnt up by Him who is the consuming fire, or grow out like a calf in a stall.

          When Jesus is on earth, the wicked, who will be judged on His Second Coming day, he spoke about the wicked to be judged as well as the righteous to be shining as the sun in his kingdom:  ” He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;  And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. “(Matthew 13: 37-43) Amen! Hallelujah!
