성시: 시편 45:1-17

본문: 솔로몬의 노래 6:10-13

제목: 진리의 깃발 아래 모이자!

     계속해서 신랑이 그의 신부된 술렘 여인에게 말씀하시며 점점 깊은 교제가 계속된다.

       10절에서 “아침처럼 비추고 달처럼 고우며 해처럼 맑고 깃발들을 든 군대처럼 위엄이 있는 여자는 누구인가?”라고 왕후들과 후궁들, 그리고 딸들과 처녀들이 그녀를 칭찬하고 있다. 이것은 은혜시대에 예수 그리스도를 영접하여 하나님의 자녀요 그리스도의 신부 된 그리스도인들을 모든 다른 세대들에서 구원받은 사람들이 부러움 속에서 칭찬하는 말인 것이다.

     달은 예수 그리스도의 교회를 예표한다. 달은 교회의 완벽한 모형이다. 주님께서는 자연을 통하여 그것을 보여 주셨다. 이것은 시편과 로마서를 통하여 그 사실을 증거한다. “태양은 신랑 방에서 나오는 신랑같고, 경주하는 강한 남자처럼 기뻐하는도다.”(시 19:5)”,  “세상의 창조 때부터 그 분에 속한 영원한 능력과 신격까지도 만들어진 것에 의해 알려졌으므로 그들이 변명하지 못하느니라.”(롬 1:20)

    첫째로, 달은 생명이 없다. 죽은 것이다. 에베소 2장은 허물과 죄로 죽었던 우리를 살리셨다고 하셨다. 우리는 생명을 받은 것이다. 달은 스스로 빛을 낼 수 없다. 주님은 우리 같은 죽은 사람들을 불러내신 것이다. 소망도 없고 하나님도 없었던 우리에게, 즉 영적으로 죽어 있던 우리에게 생명을 주신 것이다. 달에는 바위와 흙만 있을 뿐 생명이 없다.

       둘째로, 달은 스스로 빛을 낼 수 없다. “달을 쳐다보라. 그것이 빛나지 않으며…”(욥 25:5) 달은 태양의 빛을 반사할 뿐이다. 태양은 예수 그리스도의 모형이다. “그러나 내 이름을 두려워하는 너희에게는 의의 태양이 그의 날개에 치유를 가지고 솟아오르리니….”(말 4:2)

       셋째로, 달은 밤을 지배하는 빛이다. 신약 성경은 교회 시대를 밤이라고 말한다. 물론 그리스도의 몸인 교회 안에 들어와서 구원받은 사람은 더 이상 밤에 사는 것이 아니다. 빌립보서 2:15에서 바울은 “비뚤어지고 변질된 민족 가운데서 책망 받지 않게 하려 함이니 너희는 세상에서 빛들을 비추는 자들이라.”고 증거했다. 우리는 세상에서 빛을 비추어야 한다. 이것이 우리의 사명인 것이다. 예수 그리스도의 빛을 비추어야 한다.

       넷째로, 달은 태양의 행로를 따른다. 태양은 동에서 떠서 하늘을 가로질러 가다가 서쪽으로 진다. 그 후에 달이 떠올라 태양이 지나간 길을 똑같이 간다. 마찬가지로 교회는 예수 그리스도께서 가신 길을 그대로 따라가야 한다.

       다섯째로, 달에게는 깨어지지 않을 언약을 주셨다. 예레미야 33:20에서 주께서는 “만일 너희가 나의 낮의 언약과 나의 밤의 언약을 깰 수 있다면… 나의 언약도 깨어질 수 있어서…”라고 말씀하셨다. 마찬가지로 교회에게도 깨어질 수 없는 언약이 주어졌다. 주님께서는 “지옥의 문들이 그것(교회)을 이기지 못하리라.”(마 16:18)고 말씀하셨다. 일단 예수 그리스도께 믿음으로 나아가서 그 언약 안으로 들어가면 아무도 깰 수 없는 것이다.

       여섯째, 달은 인간에 의해 더럽혀졌다. 1969년 인간은 죄인의 더러운 발로 달에 착륙함으로써 달을 더럽혔다. 인간은 그것을 과학의 위대한 성과라고 말하지만, 인간은 그곳에 계속해서 “쓰레기”를 쌓아놓고는 버려두고 온다. 예수 그리스도의 교회 역시 인간에 의해 더럽혀졌다. 오늘날 성경을 믿지도 않는 설교자들이 강단에 서서 설교함으로써 교회를 더럽히는 것을 본다.  마치 술렘 여인이 파수꾼들에 의해 상처가 나고 너울까지 빼앗긴 것과 같다(솔 5:7) 교회는 말씀에 의한 물로 씻어 거룩하고 깨끗해져야 한다(엡 5:26).

       일곱째, 달은 땅의 물에 가장 큰 영향을 미친다. 성경에서 물은 진리, 즉 하나님의 말씀을 상징한다. 진리로 이 땅에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 유일한 존재는 바로 달 같은 교회인 것이다. 달의 움직임이 바다의 물을 끌어당기기도 한다. 이것을 달의 인력이라 부르며 조수의 간만은 달의 인력에 기인한다. 마찬가지로 세상에 진리를 전파하고 영향을 미칠 책임은 유일하게 교회에게 주어진 것이다.

       여덟째, 달은 땅에서 멀어질수록 더욱 밝아진다. 지평선에서 떠오를 때는 크게 보이나 그렇게 밝지는 않다. 그러나 높이 떠오를수록 더 작게 보이나 빛은 더욱 밝아진다.  교회는 죄악 세상으로부터 멀어질수록 더 밝은 빛을 내는 것이다. 세상에 가까이 가서 더럽혀질수록 교회는 빛을 잃는 것이다. 그러나 세상에서 분리되어 높이 떠 있으면 가장 밝게 빛난다.

       아홉째, 태양과 달 사이에 지구가 끼어들면 달은 완전히 보이지 않게 된다. 이것을 “월식”이라 한다. 세상이 태양이신 예수 그리스도와 교회 사이에 끼어들면 교회는 예수 그리스도를 완전히 볼 수 없게 되어 교제가 끊어진다. 

       왕은 여인에게 계속해서 말한다. “깃발처럼 아름다운 여자는 누구인가?”(10절) 교회는 진리의 깃발을 가지고 있다. “여호와 니시”는 “주는 우리의 승리의 깃발”이라는 뜻이다. 시편에서 “우리가 너의 구원으로 인하여 즐거워하며 우리 하나님의 이름으로 우리의 깃발을 세우리니, 주께서 너의 모든 간구를 이루시기 원하노라.”(시 20:5) 말씀했다. 교회가 영적으로 계양 해야 하는 깃발은 태극기도 성조기도 아닌 진리인 하나님의 말씀이다. “주께서 주를 두려워하는 자들에게 깃발을 주시어, 진리로 인하여 그것을 계양 하게 하셨나이다. (시 60:4) 하나님의 교회는 말씀의 깃발 아래 모여야 하는 것이다.

       또 하나의 깃발은 십자가의 사랑과 은혜의 깃발인 것이다. “그가 나를 잔칫집으로 인도하였으니, 내 위에 나부끼는 그의 깃발은 사랑이었도다.”(솔 2:4)

       주님은 또 다시 교회에게 열매를 찾고 계신다. “내가 골짜기의 열매들을 보려고, 또 포도넝쿨이 무성한지 석류나무가 싹이 났는지 보려고 호도나무 동산으로 내려갔도다.”(11절)

       “돌아오라, 돌아오라, 오 술렘 여인아, 돌아오라, 돌아오라, 우리가 너를 보리라. 너희는 술렘 여인에게서 무엇을 보려느냐? 그것은 마치 두 군대를 합친 것 같도다.”(13절) 에베소서는 하나님께서 둘을 하나로 만드셨다고 말한다. 즉, 유대인과 이방인이 한 몸 안으로 들어갔다. 주님은 두 군대를 합쳐서 하나로 만드셨다. 따라서 술렘 여인은 이방인과 유대인으로 이루어진 하나님의 교회로 볼 수 있다. 계시록 19장에서는 이들이 그리스도와 함께 이 땅으로 돌아오는 것을 본다. “또 하늘에 있는 군대들이 희고 정결한 세마포를 입고 흰 말을 탄 그를 따르더라.”(계 19:14) 6장에 나오는 네 그룹의 사람들은 주님의 신부인 교회가 땅에 돌아와서 통치하기를 기다리고 있는 것이다. 그래서 그들은 “돌아오아, 돌아오라, 오 술렘 여인아”라고 말하는 것이다. 미래의 어느 한 날 우리는 혼인식을 마치고 주님과 함께 통치하기 위하여 땅으로 돌아올 것이다. 그때에 모든 고난을 잊어버리고 영광을 누릴 것이다. 이 장엄한 날을 위하여 진리의 깃발 아래 모여 있는가? 훈련을 받고 있는가? 고난을 받고 있는가? “우리가 참으면 우리도 그와 함께 다스릴 것이요 우리가 그를 부인하면 그도 우리를 부인할 것이라!”(딤후 2:12)

Meditation: Psalms 45:1-17

Subject: Let us gather together under the flag of the truth!

       The bridegroom is speaking to the bride to deepen the fellowship continuously.

       In the verse 10, “Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?” as praised by the queens and the concubines, and the daughters and the virgins. This is the praise of the children of God, the bride of Christ through faith in Jesus Christ by grace, made by the saved people in all the other generations with envy.

       The moon is the type of the church. The moon is the perfect model of the church. The Lord revealed the fact through the nature. This is mentioned in Psalms and Romans. “Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.”(Ps 19:5) “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”(Rom 1:20)

       Firstly, the moon is lifeless. It’s dead. Ephesian 2 chapter says, “You hath be quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.” We received the life. The moon cannot shine the light by itself. The Lord called dead men like us. Unto us without hope and God, and spiritually dead, He gave us life. There are only rocks and earth without life.

       Secondly, the moon cannot shine the light by itself. “Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; …” (Job 25:5) the moon only reflect the light of the sun. The sun is the type of Jesus Christ. “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings ;…”( Mal 4:2)

       Thirdly, the moon reigns in the night. The New Testament says that the age of the church is as the night. Of course those that are saved in the body of Christ are not living in the night any more. Apostle Paul testified;”….in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.”(Phil 2; 15) We have to shine to the world. This is our mission. We have to shine the light of Jesus Christ.

       Fourthly, The moon follows the route of the sun. The sun rises from the east, and goes across to the west to set. Afterwards the moon rises to go through the same route of the sun. In the same manner, the church must follow the way of Jesus Christ.

       Fifthly, an unbroken covenant to the moon. The LORD said, “If ye can break my covenant of the night…..Then may also my covenant be broken.”(Jer 33:20-21) Another unbroken covenant was given to the church. Our Lord said, “The gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.”(Mat 16:18) Nobody can break the covenant when someone goes forth by faith to enter into it.

       Sixthly, the moon has been defiled by men. Men defiled the moon by landing with the dirty feet thereon in 1969. Men assist it a great achievement of science, but they only have left “trashes” therein continuously. The church of Jesus Christ also has been defiled by men. We see many preachers not believing the bible defile the church, as the woman was hurt by the watchmen, and even her veil was taken by them.(Song 5:7) The church should be cleansed with the washing of water by the word.(Eph 5:26)

       Seventhly, the moon affects to the water in the earth. In the bible, water symbolizes the truth, the word of God. The church is the only one that can affect to the world with the truth. The movement even can pull the water of the sea. This is called as “the gravitation of the moon”. The ebb and flow of the tides is by the gravitation of the moon; the responsibility for preaching the truth to the world only is given to the church.

       Eighthly, the moon is getting brighter, farer from the world. It looks big when it rises from the horizon, but not that bright. But the higher, it looks smaller, but the brighter. The church shines brighter when it is farer from the wicked world; and lose the light when it is nearer and defiled by the world. But it shines bright most when it rises up high separated from the world.

       Ninthly, if the earth intercepts in between the sun and the moon, the moon is not visible at all. This is called “eclipse of the moon”. If the world intercepts in between Jesus Christ, the Sun and the church, the church cannot see Jesus Christ at all to disconnect the fellowship with Him.

       The king said to the woman continuously. “Who is she that is terrible as an army with banners?”(v10) The church has the banner of the truth. “Jehovahnissi” means that the Lord is our banner victory”.  “We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfils all thy petitions.”(Ps 20:5)  The flag spiritually hoisted by the church is the one of the truth, the word of God, not “the Stars and Stripes” and “Taeguek Flag” either. “Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth.”(Ps 60:5) The church of God must gather together under the flag of the word.

       Another kind of flag is the flag of love and grace of the cross. “He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.”(Song 2:4)

       Our Lord is looking for the fruits unto the church. “I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished, and the pomegranates budded.”(v11)

       “Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee, what will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies.”(v13) Ephesians tells us that God made two as one; Jews and Gentiles entered into the one body. Our Lord united two armies into one. So the Shulamite may be the church consisting of Jews and Gentiles. Revelation 19 chapter, we see, they are coming with Christ to the earth.

        “And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.”(Rev 19:14) The four groups of people in 6th chapter are waiting for the church, the bride of the Lord coming back to the earth. So they say, “Return, return, O Shulamite.” One day in the future, we’ll return to the earth to reign with the Lord after the marriage of the Lamb. We’ll forget all afflictions to have glory.

        Are we gathering together under the flag of the truth for this solemn day? Are we disciplining? Are we suffering?

        “If we suffer, we shall also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us.”(2Tim 2:12)
