금주의 묵상: 시편 91:1-16

본문: 예레미야 5:1-6

제목: 공의를 행하고 진리를 구하는 자를 찾으시는 하나님

     사도 바울은 이스라엘 백성들에게 일어난 모든 일들이 본보기가 되고, 또 세상 끝날들을 당한 우리들에게 권면으로  기록된 것이라고 증거했다(고전 10:11)

     하나님께서는 범죄한 이스라엘을 심판하시기로 작정하시고 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 심판의 이유를 말씀하셨다. 예루살렘 성읍에 공의를 행하고 진리를 구하는 사람이 한 사람도 없다는 것이었다. 어찌하여 한 사람도 없었단 말인가? 하나님께서는 거짓말하실 수 없는 진리의 하나님이시기에 우리는 이 사실을 의심해서는 안될 것이다. 하나님께서는 이방나라 바벨론을 사용하셔서 이스라엘을 처참하게 심판하실 것을 정하셨다. 우리는 본문에 나타난 하나님의 심판의 메세지를 통하여 하나님의 심정을 깨달아야 할 것이다.

      사도 베드로는 하나님의 교회에 대한 심판에 대하여 분명하게 경고했다: “그러나 만일 너희가 그리스도인으로서 고난을 당하면 부끄러워하지 말고 오히려 그 일로 인하여 하나님께 영광을 돌리라. 이는 하나님의 집에서 심판을 시작해야 할 때가 되었음이니 만일 그 심판이 우리에게서부터 먼저 시작되면 하나님의 복음에 순종하지 않는 자들의 종말은 어떠하겠느냐? 만일 의인이 겨우 구원을 받는다면, 경건치 못한 자들과 그 죄인은 어디에서 나타나겠느냐? 그러므로 하나님의 뜻에 따라 고난을 받는 사람들은 선을 행하면서, 신실하신 창조주께 그들의 혼을 지키시도록 맡길지어다.”(벧전 4:16-19)

     하나님께서는 사단을 받아들여 범죄하여 심판 받은 세상을 하나님께서 공의를 행하심으로써 다시 사단으로부터 다시 찾으시기 위하여 미리 계획하셨다. 하나님께서는 자신의 계획을 사단에게 분명하게 선포하셨다: “내가 너와 여자 사이에, 또 네 씨와 그녀의 씨 사이에 적의를 두리니, 그녀의 씨는 너의 머리를 부술 것이요, 너는 그의 발꿈치를 부술 것이라.”(창 3:15)

     하나님께서는 그때부터 여자의 씨를 이 세상에 보내실 것을 예정하셨다. 다시 말해서 하나님께서는 친히 남자가 되셔서 죄인들의 씨를 통하지 않고 자신의 씨를 잉태할 사람을 찾고 계셨던 것이다. 하나님께서는 최초로 아벨을 받아들이심으로써 아벨이 드렸던 어린 양처럼 여자의 씨가 하나님의 공의의 법에 따라 처참하게 살육당할 것을 미리 보여주셨으며, 삼백년 동안 하나님과 동행하였던 에녹을 택하심으로써 그 여자의 씨와 혼인할 그의 신부들이 부활하여 대 환란 전에 죽음을 보지 않고 휴거될 것을 미리 보여주신 후에 노아를 부르시고 그를 앞으로 나타날 여자의 씨의 조상으로 택하셨던 것이다.

     노아는 에녹의 자손 중 한 사람이었으며, 그 이름은 “이 아이는 주께서 저주하셧던 땅으로 인한 우리의 일과 우리의 손의 노고에 관하여 우리를 위로할 것이라.”는 의미였다. 사람들이 지면에서 번성하기 시작하고 딸들이 그들에게서 태어났을 때 하나님의 아들들이 사람들의 딸들이 아름다운 것을 보고 그들이 택한 모든 자를 아내로 삼는 것을 보시고, 또한 사람의 사악함이 세상에 창대해짐과 그 마음의 생각의 상상이 게속해서 악할 뿐임을 보시고 주께서 땅 위에 사람을 지으셨음을 후회하셨다. 하나님께서는 악한 세상을 향하여 심판의 메세지를 선포하셨다: “내가 창조한 사람을 지면에서 멸망시키리니, 사람과 짐승과 기는 것과 공중의 새들 모두라. 이는 내가 그들을 지었음을 후회함이라.”(창 6:7)

     그러나 하나님께서는 여자의 씨를 세상에 보내시어 사단을 심판하실 계획을 변경하지 않으시고 하나님의 눈에서 은혜를 찾았던 단 한 사람인 노아를 남겨두시기로 작정하셨다. 하나님께서는 노아에 대하여 “노아는 의인이요 그 당대에 완전한 사람이었으며 하나님과 동행하더라.”(창 6:9)고 말씀하셨다. 노아 역시 에녹처럼 하나님과 동행하던 사람이었다. 사도 바울은 하나님의 자녀들에 대하여 “무릇 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 이들은 곧 하나님의 아들들이니라.”(롬 8:14)고 증거했다.

     노아 이후에 세상은 또 한 번 실패하고 말았다. 그들은 바벨 시날 땅에서 탑을 쌓아 하나님의 뜻을 대적함으로써 하나님께서는 언어를 혼란케 하셔서 그들을 온 지면에 흩어버리셨다. 하나님께서는 자신의 공의로운 심판을 행하시고 진리를 찾는 또 한 사람을 찾아내셨다. 그의 이름은 아브람이었다. 아브람은 바벨론 땅에서 우상을 만들어 파는 사업을 하는 아버지 테라의 아들이었다. 성경에서 아브람에 대하여 하나님께서 하신 말씀 가운데 가장 중요한 것은 “아브람이 주를 믿으니 주께서 그것을 이로 여기셨더라.”(창 15:6)는 말씀이었다. 사도 바울은 성령 안에서 아브라함에 대하여 “아브라함이 하나님을 믿었더니 그것이 그에게 의로 여겨졌느니라.”(롬 4:3)고 증거했으며, 사도 야고보도 “우리의 조상 아브라함이 자기 아들 이삭을 제단에 드렸을 때, 그가 행함으로 말미암아 의롭게 되지 아니하였느냐? 믿음이 어떻게 그 행함과 더불어 작용하였으며, 믿음이 행함으로 온전케 되었음을 네가 보느냐? 그리하여 ‘아브라함이 하나님을 믿으니 그것이 그에게 으로 여겨졌느니라.’는 성경이 이루어졌고, 그는 하나님의 친구라 불렸느니라. 이제 너희가 알거니와 사람이 행함으로써 의롭게 되는 것이요, 믿음으로만 되는 것이아니니라.” (약 2:21-24)고 증거함으로써 믿음은 입술로만 고백하는 것이 아니라 믿음의 행위가 따라야 함을 증거했다. 주님께서도 위선자들인 바리새인과 서기관들을 향하여 “이 백성이 입으로는 나에게 다가오고, 또 입술로는 나를 공경하여도 그들의 마음은 내게서 멀도다.”(마 15:8)라 말씀하심으로써 믿음은 입에서 나오는 것이 아니라 마음 깊은 곳으로부터 나와야 함을 증거하셨다.

     그렇다면 어떻게 아브라함은 하나님의 말씀을 전적으로 믿고 이삭을 희생제물로 드려도 하나님께서 다시 살리실 것을 믿었을까? 그는 “네 씨라 불릴 자는 이삭에게서 난 자.”고 하신 하나님의 말씀을 믿었기에 하나님께서 그를 죽은 자들로부터 살리실 수 있으리라고 생각하였기 때문이었다 (히 11:18,19) 하나님께서는 그가 그런 믿음의 소유자임을 미리 아셨던 것이다. 사도 바울도 하나님의 미리 아심에 관하여 “그분께서는 미리 아신 자들을 자기 아들의 형상과 일치하게 하시려고 또한 예정하셨으니 이는 그가 많은 형제 가운데서 첫 태생이 되게 하려 하심이니라. 그리하여 예정하신 이들을 또한 부르시고 부르신 이들을 또한 의롭게 하시고 의롭게 하신 이들을 또한 영화롭게 하셨느니라.”(롬 8:29,30)고 증거했다.

     성경에는 나타나 있지는 않지만, 이스라엘 탈무드에 나타난 기록을 보면, 아브람은 그의 아버지가 하던 일에 대하여 못마땅하게 생각하고 있었으며 여러 차례 아버지께 우상을 만들어 파는 행위는 하나님의 눈에 가증한 죄악임을 고했다 한다. 그러나 그의 아버지가 그의 말을 듣지 않기로 작정하신 것을 알고 아버지가 외출한 사이에 망치로 모든 우상들을 부숴버리고 가장 큰 우상 하나만 남겨 두었다. 그리고나서 그가 사용한 망치를 남겨둔 가장 큰 우상의 손에 둘려놓았다. 외출에서 돌아온 아버지가 노를 발하면서 누구의 짓이냐고 아브람에게 소리칠 때에, 그는 이 큰 우상이 다른 작은 우상들을 이 망치로 모두 부숴버렸다고 지혜롭게 대답했다. 그 말을 듣자마자 “어떻게 이 우상이 망치로 이렇게 할 수 있느냐?”며 화를 내시는 아버지에게 아브람은 모든 우상들은 죽은 것들이며 헛된 것들임을 일깨워 드렸다는 것이다.

     하나님께서는 이렇게 공의를 행하고 진리를 구하는 아브라함을 미리 보시고 아셨던 것이다. 마침내 하나님께서 계획하신 여자의 씨가 “예수”라는 이름으로 아브라함의 씨로 세상에 나타나셨다. 야곱의 아들들을 사용하여 이스라엘의 열두 지파를 만드시고 하나님께서 이스라엘을 여인으로 만드셔서 그녀에게 장가드셔서 그녀의 남편이 되셨던 것이다 (사 53:5). 그리하여 이스라엘의 유다 지파를 통하여 약속하신 씨가 나타나셨던 것이다. 태초에 말씀으로 계셨고 하나님과 함께 계셨던 창조주께서 하나님의 독생자로 이 땅에 나타나셨을 때 “은혜와 진리가 충만하셨다.”(요 1:14) 그분께서는 자신에 대하여 “나는 길이요 진리요 생명이라. 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 온 사람이 아무도 없느니라.”(요 14:6)고 친히 증거하셨다.

     하나님께서는 지금도 공의 행하고 진리를 구하는 자들을 찾고 계시는 것이다. 이 길은 진리이신 예수 그리스도께서 공의를 행하시기 위하여 우리의 죄들을 위하여 친히 죽으신 사실과  죽은 자 가운데서 셋째 날에 살아나신 진리의 구주이심을 믿는 길 밖에는 없는 것이다. 조만간 때가 차면 진리이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 공의를 행하시기 위하여 이 땅에 나타나실 것이다. 그리스도의 신부들이 에녹처럼 모두 하늘로 들림받은 후에는 이 세상에 또 다시 공의를 행하고 진리를 구하는 사람이 한 사람도 없게 될 것이다. 이것이 하나님의 심판이 임하는 유일한 이유가 되는 것이다.

     그리스도의 신부들은 끊임없이 자신에 대하여 공의를 행하면서 회개하며 진리의 말씀을 구함으로써 말씀에 의한 물로 씻어 거룩하고 깨끗하게 단장하여야 하며 주 예수 그리스도께서 오실 때 온 영과 혼과 몸이 책망할 것이 없이 보존 되기를 힘써야 하는 것이다(엡 5:26, 살전 5:23)).

     사도 베드로는 하나님의 오래참으심에 대하여 “주의 약속은 어떤 사람들이 더디다고 생각하는 것같이 더딘 것이 아니라 오직 우리에 대하여 오래 참으시어 아무도 멸망하지 않고 다 회개에 이르게 하려 하심이라.”(벧후 3:9)고 증거했다. 지금 이 지구촌에 여러가지 재앙들이 일어나고 있는 것은 하나님께서 회개의 기회를 주시기 위함인 것이다. 온 지구를 품에 안고 그들을 위해 중보하자! 아멘 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 91:1-17

Main scripture: Jeremiah 5:1-6

Subject: God is looking for them that execute judgment, and seek the truth

     Apostle Paul testified, all things happened unto Israel for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come (1Cor. 10:11)

     God decided to judge the people of Israel, for they had rejected him; and declared the reason of the judgment through prophet Jeremiah. There was one that executed judgment and seeks the truth in Jerusalem.  How come no one that executed judgment, and seek the truth? There cannot be any doubt for it, for God is true not to tell a lie at all. God planned to use Babylon to judge the Israel miserably.  We have to understand the mind of God through the message of judgment shown in the main passage.

     Apostle Peter warned of the judgment toward the church of God very clearly: “Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.”(1Pet. 4; 16-19)

     God had planned to take back the world that had received the Satan to sin unto judgment through executing judgment. He declared his plan to the Satan clearly: “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”(Gen. 3; 15)

     God planned to send the seed of woman thereafter. In other word, God planned of himself to be a man, and began to look one that is to conceive his seed not through sinners. God received Abel for the first time to show the seed of woman to be slaughtered as a lame that was offered by Abel to God cruelly according to the law of the righteousness of God. Choosing Enoch that had walked with him, God had showed in advance the bride of the seed of woman to be translated before the great Tribulation not tasting death. Thereafter he called Noah to choose him as the forefather of the seed of woman that shall appear in the future.

     Noah was one of the children of Enoch, and his name means, “This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands,”

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them. That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that were fair: and they took them wives of all which they choose. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD declared the message of judgment saying,,  “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.”(Gen. 6:7)

     But God the LORD never change his plan of sending the seed of woman to judge the Satan; and he chose Noah that found the grace in the eyes of the LORD. The LORD God testified of Noah: “Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”(Gen. 6:9)

Noah also walked with the LORD as Enoch. Apostle Paul testified of the children of God saying, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”(Rom. 8:14)

     After Noah died, the world made another mistake before the LORD. They built a tower in the land of Shinar, Babel to against the will of God; and God did confound the language of all the earth; and from thence did the LORD scattered them abroad upon the face of the earth. The LORD God found another man that executed judgment, and seek the truth. His name was Abram. His father was Terah that made idols to sell in Babylon. In the scripture, God the LORD spoke of Abram as one of the important message for him was, “And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”(Gen. 15:6)

Apostle Paul testified of Abraham in the Spirit saying,

“Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.”(Rom. 4; 3)

Apostle James also testified of him saying, “Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. “(James 2:21-24)

He was going to testify of the faith that should be followed by the work in addition to the confession of the mouth. Lord Jesus also spoke to the Pharisees and the Scribes of the faith that should be from the depth of the heart not only with the word of the mouth saying,

“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.”(Matt. 15:8)

     Then, how Abraham could believe the word of God perfectly; and believed that God could give life unto Isaac again after he was offered as the sacrifice? He believed the word of God saying, “That in Isaac shall thy seed be called” Therefore he accounted that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead (Heb. 11:18,19) God had foreknown Abraham as a man of faith. Apostle Paul testified of foreknowing: “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. “(Rom. 8:29,30)

      Even though the scriptures do not testify, according to the Talmud, Abram was against the idol business of his father. He challenged his father not to make idols to sell, for it was serious sin to the eyes of God many times. Knowing that his father would not listen to him anymore, He destroyed all the idols with a hammer during absence of his father only leaving the biggest one. Thereafter he put the hammer in the hand of the hand of the big idol. His father got angry upon seeing all the idols destroyed returning home; and cried with big anger asking Abraham who did that.  He answered his father with wisdom, saying this big idol had destroyed all the little idols. Upon hearing from him, Terah got angry with him saying, how this idol could destroy them all?  Then Abraham taught him of the vanity of the idols without life.

     God had foreknown Abraham that executed judgment, and seek the truth. Finally, the seed of woman appeared as the seed of Abraham in the world in the name of JESUS. God made the twelve tribes through the sons of Jacob, and he made Israel a woman to be her husband (Isa. 53:5). Through the tribe of Judah, the promised seed appeared in the world. When the seed of woman that was the Word in the beginning, the Word with God, the Creator appeared as the only begotten Son of God in the earth. He was full of grace and truth (John 1; 14). He testified of himself: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”(John 14:6)

     God is still looking for them that execute, and seek the truth. There is only one way to do this. We have to believe that the truth, Jesus Christ died for our sins to execute judgment, and he rose again the third day from the dead as the Saviour of truth. Sooner or later, Jesus Christ that is the truth shall appear to execute judgment in the earth again. After the brides of the Lord Jesus are translated to heaven as Enoch, there shall be no one that execute judgment, and seek the truth again in the earth. This shall be the only reason why the Judgment of God comes upon the earth.

     The brides of Christ have to execute judgment against them continually, and repent, and seek the truth. And they also have to sanctify and cleanse themselves with washing of water by the word so that all their spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless unto the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 5:26, 1Thes. 5:23)

     Apostle Peter testified of the longsuffering of God: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”(2Pet. 3:9) There are happening many kinds of disaster in the earth so that God may give the opportunity all the nations for repentance. It is right time for us to intercede for them embracing all the nations of people. Amen! Hallelujah!
