금주의 묵상: 시편 16:1-11

본문: 요한복음 11:1-46

제목:  그리스도의 부활과 우리 부활의 소망

      지혜의 영을 받은 사도 요한은 태초에 말씀으로 계셨고, 하나님과 함께 계셨으며 하나님이신 분이시요 영원한 생명을 가지신 창조주께서 예수라는 이름으로 이 땅에 나타나신 것을 성령 안에서 증거했다(요 1:1-3). 그가 어떻게 태초부터 계셨던 그분을 알 수 있었던가? 인간의 육신의 능력으로는 감히 상상할 수 없는 일이다. “빛이 있으라!”고 말씀하셨을 때 즉시 빛이 있게 만드신 그분이 바로 예수라는 이름을 가지시고 육신으로 나타나신 하나님이심을 어떻게 알 수 있었던가? 그런데, 그 빛은 우리가 보면서 살고 있는 태양 빛이 아닌 다른 빛이었다. 태양은 빛이 창조된 후에 창조되었기 때문이다.

      당신은 태초부터 계신 말씀이시며, 하나님이시며, 창조주이시며 영원한 생명을 가지신 분이 이 땅에 목수의 아들로 마리아의 태를 통하여 성령으로 잉태하신 예수라는 사람으로 태어나신 것을 믿는가? 그렇다면, 그분에 대하여 담대하게 증거할 수 있는가? 그렇다면, 어떤 근거로 그분을 증거할 수 있는가? 당신은 그분의 얼굴을 본적도 만난 적도 없는데 어떻게 그분을 알고 증거할 수 있겠는가? 증거란 그분을 본 자만이 할 수 있는 것이 아닌가? 그렇다면 그분을 어떻게 만날 수 있는가? 그 유일한 방법은 그분 안에 있는 영원한 생명을 받는 길밖에 없지 않은가? 그렇다면 어떻게 영원한 생명을 받을 수 있는가?

창조주이시면 하나님의 독생자이시며 하나님이신 주 예수께서는 영생에 대하여 분명하게 말씀하셨다: “영생은 이것이니, 곧 사람들이 유일하시고 참 하나님이신 아버지와 아버지께서 보내신 예수 그리스도를 아는 것이옵니다.”(요 17:3)

다시 말해서, 영원한 생명을 가진 사람만이 유일하신 참 하나님 아버지와 그분께서 이 세상에 보내신 주 예수 그리스도를 알 수 있다는 말씀이 아니겠는가? 다시 말해서 아버지 하나님과 예수 그리스도를 아는 사람들은 이미 영원한 생명을 가진 사람들이며 부활하신 예수 그리스도처럼 부활할 수 있는 능력을 이미 받은 것을 확신하는 자들인 것이 아니겠는가? 사도 바울은 이 부활의 능력을 가진 사람들에 대하여 증거했다: “또 그의 강력한 능력의 역사하심을 따라 믿는 우리에게 향하신 그의 능력의 지극히 위대하심이 어떤 것인가를 너희로 알게 하시기를 원하노라. 하나님께서 그 눙력을 그리스도 안에서 역사하게 하사 그를 죽은 자들로부터 살리셨으며…”(엡 1:19,20)

     오늘 본문에서 예수께서 자신이 태초부터 계셨던 말씀이시며 창조주시며 부활이요 생명이심을 스스로 증거하시기 위하여 나사로를 잠깐 죽게 하신 후 나흘이 지나도록 그냥 내버려 두셨다가 썩어서 냄새가 날 때에 무덤에 가셔서 큰 음성으로 외쳐 “나사로야! 나오너라!” 말씀하셨다. 그때 썩었던 나사로가 살아난 사실을 사도 요한이 보고 증거하고 있는 것이다. 말씀하셨을 때 말씀하신대로 나사로가 듣고 살아 걸어나온 것 자체가 그분께서 말씀이시며 생명을 창조하신 하나님이심을 증거하기에 충분하지 않겠는가? 창조주께서는 없던 사람도 창조하실 수 있을진데 썩어있는 사람을 다시 살리는 일은 더더욱 쉬운 일인 것이다.

       그런데, 주님께서는 썩어있는 나사로를 살리시기 전에 “나는 부활이요, 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살 것이며 또 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 누구나 영원히 죽지 아니하리라.”고 말씀하신 후에 마르다를 향하여 “네가 이것을 믿느냐?”고 물으셨다. 나사로를 살리시는데 왜 마르다에게 믿느냐고 말씀하셨는가? 또한 “만일 네가 믿으면 하나님의 영광을 볼 것이라고 내가 너에게 말하지 아니하였느냐?”라고 재차 말씀하셨다. 마르다 역시 몸은 살아있어도 이미 아담 안에서 죄와 허물로 죽어있는 상태(엡 2:1)인 것이다. 그러기에 주님께서는 살아있을 때에 부활이며 생명이신 주 예수 그리스도를 알고 믿어야만 죽어도 살것이며 살아있을 때에 주님이 오시면 휴거될 것을 말씀하고 있는 것이다.

     주님께서는 앞으로 부활의 날에 살아날 자들에 관하여 이미 증거하셨다: “진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 죽은 자들이 하나님의 아들의 음성을 들을 때가 오고 있나니 바로 지금이라. 듣는 자는 살리라. 이는 아버지께서 자신 안에 생명을 지니신 것같이 아들에게도 생명을 주시어 아들 안에 지니게 하심이라.. 또 어버지께서는 아들에게 심판하는 권세를 주셨으니 이는 그가 인자임이라. 이를 이상하게 여기지 말라. 무덤들 속에 있는 모든 자들이 그의 음성을 들을 때가 오나니 선을 행한 자는 생명의 부활로, 악을 행한 자는 저주의 부활로 나오이라.”(요 5:25-29)

     사도 바울도 성령 안에서 주님께서 하신 말씀을 데살로니가교회 성도들에게 증거했다: “주께서 호령과 천사장의 음성과 하나님의 나팔소리와 함께 하늘로부터 친히 내려오시리니 그러면 그리스도 안에서 죽은 자들이 먼저 일어나고 그리고 나서 살아남아 있는 우리도 공중에서 주님과 만나기 위하여 그들과 함께 구름 속으로 끌려 올라가리니, 그리하여 우리가 영원히 주와 함께 있으리라. 그러므로 이러한 말로 서로 위로하라.”(살전 4:16-18)

     주님께서는 그리스도께서 오실 때에 그를 믿는 자들이 죽지 않을 몸으로 또한 썩지 않을 몸으로 부활할 것(고전 15:51-53)을 미리 보시며 그를 믿은 마르다에게 주님께서 믿는 자들을 능히 살리시는 창조주 하나님이심을 미리 보여주신 것이다. 부활이시며 생명이신 자신을 증거하시기 위하여 잠시 나사로의 몸을 사용하신 것이다. 그러나 나사로는 다시 그 육신이 죽었지만 그리스도께서 다시 오실 때에는 죽지 않고 썩지 않을 몸으로 부활하게 될 것이다. 주님께서는 나사로 뿐만 아니라 나인성 과부의 아들, 회당장 야이로의 딸 등을 살리심으로 자신이 부활이며 생명이신 창조주 하나님이심을 증거하셨던 것이다. 그러나 그들 역시 다시 죽어서 그리스도의 날에 부활할 것을 우리들처럼 무덤 속에서 기다리고 있는 것이다.

     주님께서 부활하시고 승천하신후 성령께서 이 땅에 계시는 오늘날  은혜시대야말로 예수 그리스도를 알아 회개하고 그분을 믿어 마음에 영접하는 모든 사람은 그분의 성령을 통하여 거듭나게 되어 영원한 생명을 받아 영원히 죽지 않는 축복을 받는 것이 아닌가? 다시 말해서 육신으로 오셔서 우리 죄를 위하여 고난 받으시고 죽으시고 셋째 날에 부활하신 그리스도께서 친히 안에 들어오셔서 자신을 계시하실 뿐 아니라 이미 그리스도를 다시 살리신 능력을 주셔서 육신이 죽어도 살고 살아 있을 때 그리스도께서 오시면 영생체로 부활할 것을 확신하게 되는 것이다. 그러므로 그리스도의 부활은 믿는 자들 속에 지금도 일어나고 있으며 그리스도의 부활이 몸 안에서 이루어진 사람들은 그분의 증인들이 되어 부활이시며 생명이신 주 예수 그리스도를 증거할 수 있는 것이다.

     이로 인하여 주님께서는 제자들뿐만 아니라 오늘 우리들에게 분명하게 명령하신다: “그러나 성령께서 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 능력을 받으리니 그러면 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅끝까지 이르러 내개 증인이 되리라.”(행 1:8)

주님께서 이 말씀을 하신 후에 제자들이 보는데서 위로 들려 올라가시니 구름이 그들의 시야에서 주님을 가렸다. 이 장면은 앞으로 주님을 믿어 성령을 받아 생명을 받은 그리스도의 신부들이 들릠받아 공중에서 그리스도를 만날 그날에 일어날 일을 말씀해 주시고 있는 것이다.

     그렇다! 주님께서는 지금 이 순간에도 “만일 네가 지금 믿으면 하나님의 영광을 볼 것이라고 말하지 아니하였느냐?”고 말씀하고 계신다. 지금 이 순간에도 전심으로 주 예수 그리스도를 믿으면 영광의 주님께서 들어오셔서 부활의 생명을 주실 것을 약속하신 것이다. 우리도 “나사로처럼 이미 썩어서 냄새나는 것을 깨닫는 것” 만이 생명을 받는 유일한 길인 것이다. 바로 오늘이 구원의 날이요 은혜받을 날이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 16:1-11

Main scripture: John 11:1-46

Subject: Resurrection of Christ, and our hope of resurrection

     Apostle John received the Spirit of wisdom, and testified in the Spirit of the Word in the beginning with God, and the Creator that has the life eternal that was manifested in the name of Jesus on the earth (John 1:1-3) How could he know HIM that was in the beginning? It is totally impossible for the flesh of man even to imagine. How could he understand, it was Jesus manifested in flesh that spoke, “Let there be light?”, and made it be? And the light was different from the light of the Sun that we wee every day, for the Sun was created after the light was made.

     Do you really believe that the Word in the beginning, as well as God and the Creator was conceived in the womb of Mary to be born as the son of a carpenter? Then, can you testify of HIM boldly? Then, in what kind of back ground can you testify of HIM? How can you testify of HIM, even though you have never seen his face, or meeting HIM? Only one that saw HIM could testify of HIM. The how can we meet with HIM? The only way to see HIM is to receive the life eternal in HIM. Jesus that is the Creator as well as the only begotten Son of God testified of the eternal life: “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”(John 17:3)

In other word, only they that have eternal life could know the only true God, and Jesus Christ sent by the Father. In other word, they that know the only Father God and Jesus Christ already have the eternal life; and they are sure to receive the power of resurrection as Jesus. Apostle Paul testified of them that have the power of resurrection:  “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, “(Eph. 1:19,20)

     In the main passage, Jesus allowed Lazarus to die once to testify of himself as the Word in the beginning as well as the Creator and resurrection and life. He left Lazarus alone for four days in the grave until his body was corrupt; and he cried our saying “Lazarus, come forth.” And he walked out from the tomb. Apostle John testified of Lazarus that was alive again. Is it not enough to testify of HIM knowing HIM as the Word in the beginning, and resurrection and life seeing Lazarus rose again as he spoke. The Creator is the One that created man from nothing; it must be much easier to revive the corrupted body.

     Lord Jesus spoke to Martha, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: “(John 11:25). And he asked her, “Believest thou this?”

Then, why Jesus asked Martha whether she believe before Jesus revived body of Lazarus? And Jesus spoke her again, “If thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” Actually, Martha was also dead in Adam because of sin and transgression (Eph. 2:1). Therefore, Jesus is talking about the Rapture of the dead in Christ as well as the alive when he appears in the air in the future.

     The Lord Jesus already testified of them that are to rise again in the day of resurrection: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. “(John 5:25-29)

     Apostle Paul also testified of the same word already spoken by the Lord Jesus in the Spirit unto the saints of Thessalonians: “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”(1Thes. 4:16-18)

     Foreseeing them that shall rise again with immortal and incorruptible body when Christ come, Jesus revealed himself unto Martha as the Creator that could revive the dead with his power (1Cor. 15:51-53). Jesus used Lazarus to testify of himself as the resurrection and the life. Lazarus died again, but he shall rise again with immortal and incorruptible body. Jesus testified of himself as the resurrection and the life not only raising up Lazarus, but also the son of a widow and the daughter of Jairus. But they also died again to wait for the day of Christ in the hope of resurrection as us.

     Everyone that repents and receives the Lord Jesus Christ by faith in all the heart in the age of grace since he rose again from the dead and went up to heaven is blessed to be born again of the Spirit not to die forever. In other word, the Lord Jesus Christ that suffered for sin of the world, and rose again the third day enters into them not only to reveal himself but to give the power of resurrection that raised Jesus from the dead to give the confidence of resurrection. Therefore, the resurrection of Jesus is still happening in them that believe; and whosever sees the resurrection of Jesus within them becomes the witnesses unto Jesus, and testify the Lord Jesus Christ as the resurrection and the life.

     Now Jesus Christ commands us as he did to his disciples: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”(Acts 1:8)

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. This is the preview of the day of Christ when the bride of Christ is to be raptured to meet the Lord Jesus in the air.

     Yes! The Lord Jesus, at this moment, is speaking unto us

, “If thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” He shall enter into them that believe on him to give the life of resurrection. It is the only way to receive the eternal life that we understand our body as stink with corruption. Today is the day of salvation and grace to receive. Amen! Hallelujah!
