금주의 묵상: 시편 119:89-112

본문 말씀: 고린도전서 13:8-13

제목: 온전한 것이 이미 왔으니….

     사도 요한은 “하나님은 사랑이시라.”(요일 4:8)고 증거했다. 그런데 본문에서 성령께서는 사도 바울을 통하여 그 사랑에 대하여 증거하고 있는 것이다. 다시 말해서 하나님의 속성에 대하여 증거하고 있는 것이다. 이 사랑은 믿음이나 소망보다도 더 위대하다고 증거하고 있다. 다시 말해서 사랑만이 영원하다는 것이다. 이 사랑은 이 세상이 말하는 인간 관계의 이기적인 사랑이 아니라 영원한 생명을 주신 영원한 하나님의 사랑인 것이다. 그러기에 주님이 오실 때까지 하나님의 자녀들이 이 세상에서 가져야야 할 믿음이나 소망은 주님께서 오실 때에 그 믿음이 실상이 되며 소망이 현실이 되는 날 더 이상 필요 없게 된다는 것이다.

     주님께서 지상에 계실 때에 제자들에게 말씀하셨다: ”그러므로 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서 온전하심같이 너희도 온전하라.”(마 5:48) 그렇다! 온전하신 분은 하늘에 계신 하나님 아버지 한 분뿐이시다. 하나님께서만이 온전하시다는 것은 그분의 말씀만이 온전하시다는 것이다. 주님께서는 “아버지의 말씀이 진리니이다.”(요 17:17)라고 마지막 기도에서 말씀하셨다. 다윗 왕은 “오 주여, 주의 말씀은 영원히 하늘에 세워졌나이다.”(시 119;89)라고 증거했다.

     그렇다! 사도 바울은 사랑만이 영원하며, 즉 하나님의 말씀만이 영원하며 온전하기에 온전한 것이 오면 “사랑은 결코 시들지 아니하나 예언들이라도 끝이 올 것이요, 방언들이라도 그치게 될 것이며 지식고 끝이 나게 되리라. 이는 우리가 부분적으로 알고 부분적으로 예언하지만 온전한 것이 오면 그때에는 부분적으로 하던 것이 끝이 날 것이기 때문이라.”(고전 13:8-10)고 증거하고 있는 것이다. 그렇다면, 그 온전한 것이 왔는가? 다시 말해서 온전하신 하나님께서 이 세상에 이미 오셨는가? 말씀이 육신이 되셨던 주 예수 그리스도(요 1:14)께서 이미 세상에 오셨지만 유대인들이 그분을 거절하고 죽였다. 온전하신 하나님께서는 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 위로자이시며 진리의 영이신 성령님을 이 세상에 보내셨다(요 14:16,17). 또한 성령님을 통하여 하나님의 말씀을 온전하게 만드셔서 하나님의 자녀들에게 주셨다. 다시 말해서 신구약 66권을 주셔서 온전하신 하나님의 말씀을 우리에게 주신 것이다. 이제 하나님께서는 육신이 아니고 말씀으로 우리에게 나타나신 것이다. 사도 바울 당시에는 성경이 완성되지 않았기에 성령께서는 사도 바울을 통하여 “온전한 것이 오면 그때에는 부분적으로 하던 것이 끝날 것이기 때문이라.”(고전 13:10)고 증거한 것이다. 온전하신 하나님의 말씀씀이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주로 이 세상에 다시 나타나실 때(계 19:11-16)까지 하나님께서는 말씀 안에서 온전하신 분으로 계시되고 계신 것이다.

       주 예수 그리스도께서 이 세상에 계실 때에 “살리는 것은 영이니, 육은 전혀 무익하니라. 내가 너희에게 한 말들은 영이요, 생명이라.”(요 6:63)고 말씀하셨다. 그렇다! 하나님의 말씀은 영이요 생명이다. 또한 마귀도 영이라는 사실을 알아야 할 것이다. 그러나 그는 생명이 아니라 죄와 사망의 권세 잡은 자(히 2:14, 요일 3:8)인 것을 분명히 알아야 할 것이다. 그러기에 하나님께서는 영이요 생명이신 자신의 말씀을 신구약 66권 속에 다 말씀하셨고 그 말씀이 아닌 어떤 것도 하나님께로부터 온 것이 아님을 증거하고 있는 것이다. 사도 바울은 거짓 교사들에 대하여 증거할 때에 “그러한 자들은 거짓 사도들이요, 기만하는 일꾼들이요, 자신들을 그리스도의 사도들로 가장하는 자들이라. 이것은 놀라운 일이 아니니 이는 사탄도 자신을 빛의 천사로 가장하기 때문이라.”(고후 11:13,14) 말씀했다. 이렇게 사탄이 빛의 천사로 가장하여 사람들의 마음 속에 어떤 생각이나 말이나 환상과 예언들을 넣어줄 때 속을 수밖에 없는 것이다. 이로 인하여 성령께서는 영이요 생명이신 하나님의 말씀을 온전하게 주셔서 그 말씀들 외에는 그 어떤 것도 받아들이지 말 것을 경고하시는 것이다. 사도 바울은 성령에 의해  하나님의 말씀의 온전하심을 증거했다: “모든 성경은 하나님의 영감으로 주어진 것으로 교리와 책망과 바로잡음과 의로 훈육하기에 유익하니 이는 하나님의 사람이 온전하게 되며, 모든 선한 일에 철저히 구비되게 하려 함이니라.”(딤후 3:16,17) 그렇다! 이 성경말씀 한 권만 있으면 하나님의 사람이 온전하게 될 수 있는 것이다.

     그렇다면 본문에서 사도 바울이 말씀하시는 부분적인 것들, 즉 예언들이나 방언들이나 지식은 무엇인가? 온전하신 하나님의 말씀이 완성되기 전에 성령님께서 사도들을 통하여 나타나셔서 하나님의 일을 하게 하신 은사들인 것이다. 또한 구약 시대에는 하나님께서 주의 천사를 보내시어 말씀하셔서 선지자들로 예언하게 하셨던 것이다. 하나님의 말씀을 온전케 하시기 위하여 진리의 영으로 오셨던 성령님께서는 오순절 날에 열두 사도들에게 여러가지 방언들을 주셔서 그들로 하여금 방언들, 즉 외국말을 유창하게 말하게 하셔서 여러 나라에서 온 사람들에게 그 나라 방언으로 하나님의 말씀을 증거하게 하신 것이다. 사도 행전의 기록자인 누가는 이렇게 증거하고 있다: “그후 오순절 날이 되자 그들이 다 하나가 되어 한 장소에 모였는데 갑자기 하늘에서 거친 강풍같은 소리가 나더니 그들이 앉아 있는 온 집안을 가들 채우더라. 거기에 불같은 모양으로 갈라진 혀들이 나타나 그들 각 사람 위에 머물더니 그들 모두가 성령으로 충만하여 성령께서 그들에게 발설하게 하신 대로 다른 방언들로 말하기 시작하더라. 당시 예루살렘에는 신앙심이 깊은 유대인들이 천하 각국으로부터 와서 머물고 있었는데 그때 이 소문이 퍼지자 무리가 함께 모여 혼란이 생겼으니 이는 각 사람이 자기 나라 말로 그들이 말하는 것을 들었기 때문이라. 그러자 그들이 모두 놀라고 이상히 여겨 서로 말하기를 ‘보라, 말하고 있는 이 사람들은 모두 갈릴리 사람이 아니냐? 그런데 어떻게 해서 우리 각 사람이 우리가 태어난 곳의 고유 언어로 말하는 것을 듣게 된단 말인가?”(행 2:1-8) 그렇다! 이때 나타난 방언은 외국말인 것이다. 그러나 이제는 모든 성경이 각 나라 말들로 번역되어 각 나라 사람들의 손에 들려져 있으니 더 이상 성령님께서는 오순절의 역사 없이 말씀을 전파하실 수 있게 된 것이다. 이 방언은 고린도전서 14장에서 사도바울이 증거한 방언기도와는 다른 것이다. 사도 바울은 방언기도에 대하여 증거했다: “알지 못하는 방언으로 말하는 사람은 사람에게 말하지 아니하고 하나님께 하는 것이기 때문이요, 또 어떤 사람도 알아듣지 못하나 그가 영으로 신비를 말하는 것이기 때문이라…..만일 내가 알지 못하는 방언으로 기도하면 내 영은 기도하는 것이지만 나의 지각은 열매를 맺지 못하리라. 그러면 어찌 하리요? 내가 영으로 기도하겠고 지각으로도 기도하겠으며 내가 영으로 찬양하겠고 지각으로도 찬양하리라.”(고전 14:2,14,15) 그러나 이 방언 기도도 온전하신 하나님의 말씀이 마음 안에 가득한 사람은 자신의 나라 말로 기도함으로써 하나님께 영적인 기도와 찬양을 드리며 자신의 지각으로도 열매를 맺을 수 있게 된 것이다. 그러기에 우리는 예수님처럼 “은혜와 진리”로 충만해야 하는 것이다.

      뿐만 아니라, 성경이 완성될 때까지 하나님의 사역을 위하여 부분적으로 예언하던 것들도 더 이상 필요없게 된 것은 하나님의 모든 말씀들이 예언들이기 때문인 것이다. 하나님의 말씀의 갑주를 입고 있지 않을 때에 빛의 천사로 가장한 사탄은 여지없이 하나님의 자녀들을 속이며 거짓 환상을 보여주며 거짓 음성을 들려주어 거짓 예언을 하게 만드는 것이다. 사탄이 가져오는 예언들은 두려움을 주거나 저주의 말을 담고 있다. 그러나 하나님의 말씀으로 예언하는 사람은 사람들에게 말하며 세워주고 권면하고 위로하는 것이다(고전 14:3).

      이제 온전한 하나님의 말씀이 왔으니 온전하신 하나님이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 오실 때까지 하나님의 교회는 하나님의 말씀 외에 어떤 예언이나 지식도 받아들여서는 안되는 것이다. 오직 하나님의 말씀만을 찬양하며 그 말씀에 순종하여 하나님의 전신갑주를 입고 복음을 전하여 구령하고 또 다시 모여 말씀을 찬양하며 순종하는 삶을 살아야 하는 것이다. 사도 바울과 바나바가 이방인들에게 말씀을 전했을 때, “이방인들이 이 말을 듣자 기뻐하며 주의 말씀을 찬양하였고 영원한 생명을 얻기로 정해진 자들은 다 믿더라.”(행 13: 48)고 증거했다. 아멘 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 119:89-112

Main scripture: 1Corinthians 13:8-13

Subject: That which is perfect is already come.

     Apostle John testified, “God is love.”(1John 4:8) Now, in the main passage, the Holy Ghost is testifying of the love of God. In other word, he is testifying the character of God. This love is greater than faith and hope. In other word, only love of God is sterna one. This love of God is not same as love among men in the world that is selfish, but the eternal love of God that gives eternal life.  Therefore, faith and hope that are needed during the present life for the children of God shall not be needed when the Lord Jesus comes again, for those shall be reality.

     The Lord Jesus spoke to his disciple: “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”(Matt. 5:48)

Yes! That which is perfect is only Father God in heaven; it means, only his words are perfect. Lord Jesus spoke in his final prayer, “Thy word is truth.”(John 17:17) King David testified, “For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”(Ps. 119:89)

     Yes! Apostle Paul testified of love that is eternal, as well as the words of God saying, “Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.”(1Cor. 13:8-10)

Then, is that which is perfect come? In other word, is the perfect God come in the world? The Lord Jesus Christ which the Word manifested in flesh (John 1:14) had come to the world; but the Jews rejected him to kill him. The perfect God sent the Holy Ghost in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that is the Comforter as well as the Spirit of truth (John 14:16,17). And God the Father had made his words perfect through the Holy Ghost to give his children. In other word, he has given us 66 books of holy scriptures that are perfect. Now, God is manifested not in flesh, but in the Word. At the time of Apostle Paul, the Holy Bible had not been completed, he testified, “But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.”(1Cor. 13:10)

God is revealed in the words of God as the perfect one, until the Lord Jesus Christ appears again as the perfect Word of God, and the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

     The Lord Jesus Christ testified when he was in the world, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”(John 6:63)

Yes! The word of God is spirit and life. We have to remember that the Devil is also spirit; but he is the one that has the power sin and death, not the life (Heb. 2:14, 1John 3:8). God has spoken all his words that are spirit and life through 66 books of Bible, and nothing else is from God.  Apostle Paul testified of the false teachers: ^“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. “(2Cor. 11:13,14)

Transforming into the angel of light, the Satan is trying to put some thoughts, words, and vision and prophesy into the heart of men to deceive them. Therefore, the Holy Ghost warns us not to receive anything else other than the perfect words of God that are spirit and life. Apostle Paul testified of the perfecting of the words of God: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”(2Tim. 3:16,17)

Yes! The man of God can be perfect through the words of God that is 66 books of Bible.

     Then! What are these that are in part such as prophecies and tongues and knowledge? Before the perfect words of God were completed, the Holt Ghost was manifested through the Apostles through the gifts of the Spirit. And in the days of the Old Testament, the LORD God made his prophets to prophesize sending the Angel of the LORD. The Holy Ghost that was come as the Spirit of truth to make perfect the words of God gave various tongues that were the foreign languages to his disciples so that they might testified of the words of God in different languages; The writer of Acts testified of this: “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?”(Acts 2;1-8)

Yes! The tongues given in the day of Pentecost were the foreign languages. But nowadays, the Holy Bible has been translated in almost languages for all nations, so that the words of God may be preached without the gifts of tongues in the day of Pentecost. This gift of tongues is different from the prayer in tongue mentioned in 14^th chapter of 1Corinthinas by Apostle Paul. Apostle Paul testified of this: “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries……¹⁴For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.”(1Cor. 14:2,14,15)

But whosoever that is full of the words of God in the heart is pleased to pray in his own language instead of tongue to give the spiritual prayer and praise so that his understanding may be fruitful.  This is the reason why we are to be full of grace and truth as Jesus.

     The reason why the partial prophesy that was made until the Holy Bible was completed is no more needed is because all the words of God are prophesies. The Satan transformed into the angel of light is ready to deceive the children of God giving false vision and false voice so that they may make false prophesies, when they are not armored with the words of God. The prophesy coming from the Satan always gives the children of God fear and curse. But the prophesies from God give edification and exhortation and comfort (1Cor. 14:3).

     Now the perfect word of God is come already, and the church of God must be separated from any kind of prophesy or knowledge else the word of God. Only praising the word of God, and obey them to wear the whole armor of God, and preach the gospel to win the souls. When Apostle Paul Barnabas preached the gospel, “And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.”(Acts 13:48)
