금주의 묵상: 시편 99:1-9

본문: 창세기 22:1-14

제목: 모리아 산에서 이삭 대신에 죽으신 예수님

     하나님께서는 먼 훗날 자신의 독생자를 이 땅에 보내시어 모든 세상 사람들의 죄를 위하여 한 마리의 어린 양처럼 번제물로 드려져서 죽임을 당하게 하실 것을 예정하셨다. 본문 말씀을 통하여 아브라함을 하나님 아버지 역할을 하게 하시고 이삭을 나무 십자가를 지시고 앞으로 갈보리 골고다가 될 모리아 산으로 올라가는 예수님의 모습을 미리 보여주시고 있다. 또한 한 마리의 숫양을 잡아와서 이삭 대신 번제로 드림으로써 한 마리의 숫양처럼 죽으실 예수님을 미리 보여주셨다.

     아브라함과 이삭의 대화 속에서 우리는 가장 위대한 한 가지 진리를 발견하게 된다: “이삭이 그 아비 아브라함에게 고하여 말하기를 ‘나의 아버지여.’ 하니, 그가 말하기를 ‘내 아들아, 내가 여기 있노라.’하니, 그가 말하기를 ‘불과 나무를 보소서. 그런데 번제에 쓸 어린 양은 어디 있나이까?’ 하자, 아브라함이 말하기를 ‘내 아들아, 하나님께서 자신을 번제에 쓸 어린 양으로 마련하실 것이라.’하고 두 사람이 함께 가더라.”(창 22:7,8)

     다시 말해서, 앞으로 하나님 자신이 사람으로 나타나셔서 세상 죄를 위하여 죽으시고 모든 죄들을 제거하실 하나님의 어린 양이 되실 것을 아브라함을 통하여 미리 예언하신 것이다. 이 예언의 말씀을 이루시기 위하여 솔로몬 왕을 통하여 모리아 산에 하나님의 성전을 건축하게 하신 것이다. 다시 말해서 예수 그리스도의 모형이 될 어린 양을 번제로 드릴 장소를 모리아 산으로 택하셨던 것이다. 성경은 이렇게 증거하고 있다: “그후 솔로몬이 예루살렘 모리아 산에 주의 전을 건축하기 시작하였으니, 그곳은 주께서 전에 그의 아버지 다윗에게서 나타나신 곳으로, 다윗이 전에 여부스인 오르난의 타작마당에 예비하였던 곳이라.”(대하 3:1)

      이 모리아 산은 현재 예루살렘에 있는 올리브 산 앞에 모슬렘 성전인 Temple of Mount 자리와 같은 곳으로서 이곳은 바로 예수께서 갈보리 십자가에서 처형당하신  골고다 언덕인 것이다. 하나님의 말씀은 말씀하신대로 그대로 이루어짐을 다시 한 번 알 수 있지 않은가?

     아브라함이 이삭과 더불어 모리아 산으로 오른지 약 이천 년이 지난 어느날, 약속대로 하나님께서 보내신 독생자 예수께서 요단강으로 침례 받으시려고 침례인 요한에게 나타나셨다. 이때에 성령으로 충만한 요한은 모리아 산에서 죽임 당한 어린 양처럼 나타나신 예수님에 대하여 온 유대인들에게 큰 소리로 증거했다: “보라, 세상 죄를 제거하는 하나님의 어린 양이라.”(요 1:29)

     예수님께서 세상 죄를 제거하신 후에 무엇을 하시려 했는가? 사도 바울은 이렇게 증가하고 있다: 그분께서 우리를 흑암의 권세로부터 구하여 내셔서 그분의 사랑하는 아들의 나라로 옮겨주셨으니 그 안에서 우리가 그의 보혈을 통하여 구속, 죄들의 용서함을 받았느니라…그의 십자가의 보혈을 통하여 화평을 이루고 땅에 있는 것이나 하늘에 있는 것이나 그에 의하여 모든 것이 자신과 화해하는 것이라. 너희가 전에는 악한 행실로 인하여 멀리 떠나 너희의 생각으로 원수가 되었으니 이제는 그의 죽으심을 통하여 그의 육신의 몸 안에서 그와 화해케 하셨으니 그가 보시기에 너희를 거룩하고 흠 없고 책망할 것이 없이 드리고자 함이라. 만일 너희가 자리잡고 정착된 믿음 안에 계속 있으며 복음의 소망에서 떠나지 아니하면 그리하리라. 이것은 너희가 들었고 하늘 아래 있는 모든 피조물에게 전파된 것이라. 이로써 나 바울은 복음의 일꾼이 되었노라.”(골 1:13,14,20,21,22,23)

     사도 바울은 이 땅에 예수께서 주와 그리스도로 나타나실 것에 대한 하나님의 뜻을 증거했다: 하나님께서 세상의 기초를 놓으시기 이전에 우리로 사랑 안에서 그분 앞에 거룩하고 흠 없게 하시려고 그리스도 안에서 우리를 택하시어 하나님의 기쁘심에 따라 예수 그리스도를 통하여 우리를 자신의 자녀로 입양할 것을 예정하셨으니 이는 하나님께서 그 사랑하시는 이 안에서 우리를 받아들이시어 그 은혜의 영광을 찬양케 하려 하심이라. 그 사랑하시는 이 안에서 우리가 그의 은혜의 충성함을 따라 그의 보혈을 통하여 구속, 곧 죄들의 용서함을 받았느니라. 그 은헤의 충성함으로 인하여 그는 모든 지혜와 총명을 우리에게 넘치게 하시어 그의 기쁘심을 따라 자기 안에서 계획하신 바 그의 뜻의 신비를 우리에게 알게 하셨으니 이는 때가 찬 경륜 안에서 하늘에 있는 것들이나 땅에 있는 것들이나 자신 안에 있는 것들까지도 만물을 그리스도 안에서 하나로 모으려는 것이니라.”(엡 1:4-10)

      때에 찬 하나님의 경륜을 이루시기 위하여 나타나신 그리스도이신 예수께서는 제자들을 부르시어 그들로 하여금 하나님의 뜻을 이루게 하시려고 그들에게 기도하여야 할  제목을 주셨다: “하늘에 계신 우리 아버지, 아버지의 이름이 거룩하게 되옵시고, 아버지의 왕국이 임하시오며, 아버지의 뜻이 하늘에서와 같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다. 우리에게 일용할 양식을 주시옵고, 우리가 우리에게 빚진 자들을 용서하는 것같이 우리의 빚진 것들도 용서해 주시오며, 우리를 시험에 들지 않게 하시옵고, 악에서 구하여 주시옵소서. 그 왕국과 권세와 영광이 영원토록 아버지의 것이옵니다. 아멘”(마 6:9-13)

     주님께서는 앞으로 자신이 세상 죄를 위하여 죽으심으로써 그의 보혈을 통하여 구원받아 의롭게 될 사람들을 바라보시면서 그들로 하여금 하늘과 땅에 세워질 하나님의 왕국에 들어가게 하실 것을 위해 기도하라고 말씀하셨던 것이다. 또한 밤에 주님을 찾아온 니고데모에게 하나님의 왕국에 들어갈 사람에 대하여 분명하게 말씀하셨다: “진실로 진실로 내가 너에게 말하노니, 사람이 거듭나지 아니하면 하나님 나라를 볼 수 없느니라….진실로 진실로 내가 너에게 말하노니, 사람이 물과 성령으로 태어나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라에 들어갈 수 없느니라. 육신으로 난 것은 육이요, 또 성령으로 난 것은 영이니라.”(요 3:3,5,6)

     선지자인 다윗 왕도 땅에 세워질 하나님의 왕국에 대하여 미리 증거했다: “주의 산에 오를 자가 누구며 그의 거룩한 곳에 설 자가 누구인가? 깨끗한 손과 순결한 마음을 지닌 사람이니 그는 헛된 것에 자기 혼을 들어올리지 아니하며 거짓되이 맹세하지 아니하였도다. 그는 주로부터 복을 받고 그의 구원의 하나님으로부터 의를 받으리라. 이는 그를 찾는 자들의 세대니, 오 야곱이여, 네 얼굴을 찾는 자라. 셀라. 오 너희 문들아 너희 머리를 들라. 너희 영원한 문들아, 너희는 들어올려질지라. 그리하면 영광의 왕께서 들어오시리라. 이 영광의 왕이 누구신가? 강하고 능력 있으신 주시며 전쟁에 능력 있으신 주시로다. 오 너희 문들아, 너희 머리를 들라. 너희 영원한 문들아, 그것들을 들라. 그리하면 영광의 왕께서 들어오시리라. 이 영광의 왕이 누구신가? 만군의 주시니 그는 영광의 왕이시로다. 셀라.”(시 24:3-10)

     또한 선지자 이사야도 마지막 날들을 위한 약속에 대하여 예루살렘에 세워질 그리스도의 천년왕국에 대하여 증거했다: “마지막 날들에 주의 전의 산이 산들의 정상에 세워질 것이요, 작은 산들 위에 높아지리니 모든 민족들이 그곳으로 몰려갈 것이라. 많은 백성이 가며 말하기를 ‘너희는 오라, 우리가 주의 산에, 야곱의 하나님의 전에 올라가자. 그리하면 그가 그의 길을 우리에게 가르치실 것이며, 우리는 그의 길에서 행하리니 이는 율법이 시온에서 나오며, 주의 말씀은 예루살렘으로부터 나올 것임이라.’ 하리라. 그가 모든 민족들 가운데서 심판하시며, 많은 백성을 책망하시리니 그들이 자기 칼을 두들겨서 낫을 만들 것이요, 민족이 민족을 대적하여 칼을 들어올리지 아니할 것이며, 그들이 더 이상 전쟁을 배우지 아니하리라. 오 야곱의 집아, 오라, 우리가 주의 빛 안에서 행하자.”(사 2:

선지자 미카도 이사야와 동일한 예언을 했다 (미 4:1-4)

     하늘과 땅에 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 왕국이 세워질 때 가장 축복 받은 사람들에 대하여 성령께서 사도 바울과 사도 요한을 통하여 우리에게 증거하고 있다. 이들은 그리스도의 보혈을 통하여 성령으로 거듭난 성도들로서 그리스도의 신부들이다. 이들은 첫째 부활에 참여하는 자들이라고 말씀하신다:

“그러나 이제 그리스도께서 죽은 자들로부터 살아나셔서 잠들었던 자들의 첫열매들이 되셨느니라. 사망이 사람으로 말미암은 것같이 죽은 자의 부활도 사람으로 말미암는도다. 이는 아담 안에서 모든 사람이 죽은 것같이 그리스도 안에서 모든 사람은 살게 하려 함이라. 그러나 각자 자기의 서열대로 되리니 그리스도가 첫열매들이요, 그 다음은 그리스도께서 오실 때 그분께 속한 사람들이라. 그후에는 끝이 오리니 주께서 모든 정사와 모든 권세와 능력을 폐하시고 그 왕국을 하나님, 곧 아버지께 바칠 때라. 주께서 모든 원수를 자기 발 아래 두실 때까지 통치하셔야만 하리니 멸망받게 될 마지막 원수는 사망이라.”(고전 15:20-26)

“성령의 열매는 사랑과 기쁨과 화평과 오래 참음과 친절과 선함과 믿음과 온유와 절제니 그러한 것을 반대할 법이 없느니라. 그리스도께 속한 사람들은 그 육신을 욕정과 정욕과 함께 십자가에 못박았느니라.”(갈 5:22-24)

     사도 요한은 첫째 부활에 참여하는 자들의 축복에 대하여 증거했다: “첫 번째 부활에 참여하는 자는 복되고 거룩하도다. 둘째 사망이 그들을 다스리는  권세가 없고, 오히려 그들이 하나님과 그리스도의 제사장들이 되어 천 년 동안 그와 함께 통치하리라.”(계 20:6)

Meditation of the week: Psalms 99:1-9

Main scripture: Genesis 22:1-14

Subject: Jesus died for Isaac in the mountain in Moriah

     God planned to send his only begotten Son to the earth so that he may be a burnt offering as a lamb to death for the sins of the world. In the main passage, Abraham is acting as the Father God, and Isaac as Jesus that carrying the wooden cross unto the hill of Golgotha in the mountain in Moriah. The ram that died instead of Isaac is the model of Jesus that is to die as a ram as a burnt offering.

     In the dialogue between Abraham and Isaac, we find one of the great truths:

“And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.”(Gen. 22:7,8)

     In other word, the LORD God foretold through Abraham that God himself should be the Lamb of God that is to appear to the world to die the sin of the world to take it away. To achieve this prophesy, God had King Solomon to build the temple of God on the mountain in Moriah. In other word, God had chosen the mountain in Moriah as the place for submitting the lamb as a burnt offering that is the model of Jesus Christ. The scripture testifies:

“Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.”(2Chron. 3:1)

     The mountain in Moriah is the same place as Temple of Mount that is the temple of Islam in Jerusalem; it is also the same place as the hill of Golgotha where Jesus crucified in Calvary. The word of God shall be done as it is.

     One day after Abraham and Isaac went up the mountain in Moriah, Jesus, the only begotten Son of God appeared to John the Baptist as promised. Then, John testified to the Jew in a loud voice of Jesus that is the Lamb of God as shown as a ram in Moriah: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”(John 1:29)

     What Jesus was going to do after he takes away the sin of the world? Apostle Paul testified of this:

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: ….   ²⁰And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;”(Col. 1:13,14,20,21,22,23)

     Apostle Paul testified of the will of God of Jesus that is to appear as the Lord and Christ:

“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:”(Eph. 1:4-10)

     Finally Christ Jesus appeared to achieve the will of God in the dispensation of the fullness of times. He called his disciples, and gave them a prayer request so that they may be able to do his ministry: “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”(Matt. 6:9-13)

    Foreseeing his death for the sin of the world, and the peoples to be saved through his blood, he asked his disciples for them that enter the kingdom of God in heaven and earth. Jesus clearly testified of them that are to enter into the kingdom of God:

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God….   ⁵Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”(John 3:3,5,6)

     King David as a prophet testified of the kingdom of God to be built in the earth:

“Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.”(Ps. 24:3-10)

 Prophet Isaiah also testified of the Millennium that is 1000 year reign of King Jesus in Jerusalem as the promise of God for the last days:

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.”(Isa. 2:2-5) Prophet Micah also made a same prophecy as Isaiah (Micah 4:1-3)

     The Holy Ghost testified of the most blessed people when the kingdom of God is to be built in heaven and earth in Christ through Apostle Paul and John. They are the brides of Christ that are born again of the Spirit through the blood of Christ; they shall participate in the first resurrection:

“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”(1Cor. 15:20-26)

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”(Gal. 5:22-24)

     Apostle John testified of the blessing for them that are to participate in the first resurrection:

“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”(Rev. 20:6)
