금주의 묵상: 시편 시편 99:1-9

본문: 데살로니가후서 1:1-12

제목: 그리스도의 날에 성도들에게 기이히 여김을 받으실 예수님

         유대인들에게 예수 그리스도를 전함으로 인해 온갖 박해를 받는 데살로니가인들의 교회를 향한 위로의 말씀을 본다. 동시에 본문을 통하여 오늘날 우리들을 향하신 성령님의 음성을 들을 수 있다. 사도 바울은 예수 그리스도께서 신부들을 데려가시려고 공중에 임하시는 “그리스도의 날”과 세상을 심판하시기 위해 환란 끝에 나타나시는 “주의 날”에 대하여 그들을 가르치려고 이 서신을 쓴 것이다. 동시에 오늘 날 마지막 때에 여러가지 환란들을 보면서 그리스도의 날, 즉 휴거가 일어나지 않고서는 적그리스도가 나타나지 않을 것이며 배교와 더불어 그가 나타나면서 대 환란이 시작될 것을 두 편지를 통하여 자세하게 가르치고 있는 것이다. 이 편지는 오늘날 우리들에게 너무나도 필요한 진리의 지식이 아닐 수 없는 것이다.

         오늘 본문 말씀은 예수 그리스도께서 적그리스도가 나타나기 전인 환란 전에 공중에 나타나실 때, 즉 휴거의 날에 있을 일을 증거함으로써 복음으로 인해 많은 박해를 받고 있었던 데살로니가인의 교회 성도들에게 위로의 메세지를 전하고 있다. 또한 이 메세지는 지금 우리들에게도 동일한 위로와 확신과 소망을 갖게 하는 것이다.

          그 날에 주께서 오시면 그의 성도들에게 영광을 받으시고 또 믿는 모든 사람들에게서 기이히 여김을 받게 될 것이라고 사도 바울은 증거하고 있다. 주님께서 그의 신부들로부터 기이히 여김을 받는 이유에 대하여 그들이 전혀 만나보지도 못한 그분을 어떻게 그렇게 믿고 기다렸는데 그분을 막상 만나뵈니 사도들이 전한 말씀들이 모두 사실임이 드러나게 되어 어떻게 그들이 사도들의 말을 믿고 그 말씀들을 붙잡고 모든 어려움과박해들을 견디며 믿음으로 승리하게 되었는지 감격하게 될 것이라는 것이다.

           그렇다면 사도 바울과 그의 동역자들이 과연 어떤 증거를 그들에게 하였는가? 사도 바울은 그와 그의 동역자들이 하나님의 신비들을 맡은 청지기라고 고린도교회 성도들에게 증거한 바 있다(고전 4:1). 데살로니가인의 교회 성도들이 사도 바울로부터 들은 증거는 분명히 하나님의 신비들로서 예수 그리스도에 관한 신비로운 말씀임에 틀림없는 것이다. 그렇다면, 사도 바울과 그의 동역자들이 전한 증거가 무엇인가? 그리고 그들이 앞으로 그리스도를 만나게 될 때에 어떻게 그들이 사도 바울의 증거들을 다 믿었는지 놀라게 될 것이며 그들이 만나는 예수 그리스도를 보면서 그들이 전해 들은 것과 조금도 다르지 않음을 보면서 주님을 기이하게 쳐다보게 될 것이라는 것이다. 왜냐하면 한 번도 눈으로 보지 못한 예수 그리스도이시기 때문이다. 사도 베드로는 예수 그리스도의 피뿌림을 받은 택한 자들에게 “너희가 그를 보지 못하였으나 사랑하며, 지금도 그를 보지 못하였으나 믿고 있으며, 또 말할 수 없이 영광으로 기득 찬 기쁨으로 즐거워하나니 이는 너희 믿음의 결과, 곧 너희 혼들의 구원을 받음이라.”(벧전 1:8,9)고 말씀했다.

          첫째로,  사도 바울은 경건의 신비에 관하여 증거했다. 다시 말해서 하나님께서 육신으로 나탄신 분이 예수 그리스도시라는 것이다: 경건의 신비는 논쟁의 여지없이 위대하도다. 하나님께서는 육신으로 나타나셨고 성령으로 의롭게 되셨으며, 천사들에게 보이셨고 이방인들에게 전파되셨으며, 세상에서 믿은 바 되셨고 영광 가운데로 들려올라가셨음이라.”(딤전 3;16)

         둘째로, 그는 신비로우신 그리스도에 대하여서 증거했다: “이 신비는 여러 시대와 세대에 감추어졌다가 이제 그의 성도들에게 나타났고 하나님께서는 이들에게 이방인 가운데서 이 신비의 영광의 풍요함이 어떠한지를 알리고자 하셨으니 이 신비는 너희 안에 계신 그리스도시요, 곧 영광의 소망이라.”(골 1:26,27)

         셋째로, 그는 거듭난 성도들의 모임인 교회가 한 몸을 이루어 그리스도의 신부로 결혼하는 그리스도와 교회의 신비로운 관계에 대하여 증거했다: “이는 우리가 그의 몸과 그의 살과 그의 뼈의 지체임이라. 이런 까닭에 남자가 자기 아버지와 어머니를 떠나 자기 아내와 결합하여 그 둘이서 한 몸이 될지니라. 이것은 위대한 신비라. 그러나 나는 그리스도와 그 교회에 관하여 말하노나.”(엡 5:30-32)

           넷째로, 그는 그리스도께서 오시는 그리스도의 날에 그의 신부들 가운데 죽은 자들은 부활하고 살아있는 자들은  죽지 않고 썩지 않을 몸으로 변화되어 공중에서 주님을 만나 결혼하여 영원히 살게 될 이른 바 휴거의 신비를 증거했다:

“주께서 호령과 천사장의 음성과 하나님의 나팔소리와 함께 하늘로부터 친히 내려오시리니 그러면 그리스도 안에서 죽은 자들이 먼저 일어나고 그리고 나서 살아남아 있는 우리도 공중에서 주와 만나기 위하여 그들과 함께 구름 속으로 끌려올라가리니, 그리하여 우리가 영원히 주와 함께 있으리라. 그러므로 이러한 말로 서로 위로하라.”(살전 4:16-18)

“보라, 내가 너희에게 한 가지 신비를 말하노니 우리가 다 잠잘 것이 아니요 오히려 우리가 모두 변화될 것이니 마지막 나팔에 눈깜짝하는 순간에 그러하리라. 나팔 소리가 나면 죽은 자들이 썩지 아니하는 몸으로 일으켜지며 우리도 변화되리라. 그리하여 이 죽을 몸이 반드시 죽지 아니할 몸을 입으리라.” (고전 15:51-53)

          다섯째로, 그는 이스라엘의 신비에 대하여 증거했다. 이스라엘의 메시야이신 예수 그리스도께서 재림하실 때에 그들이 회개하고 회복되어 구원받을 것을 증거했다:

 “형제들아, 너희가 스스로 지혜 있는 체하지 않게 하기 위하여 이 신비를 모르기를 원치 아니하노니 이는 이방인들의 충만함이 차기까지는 이스라엘의 일부가 완고하게 된 것이라. 그리하여 온 이스라엘이 구원을 받으리라. 기록된 바 ‘구원자가 시온에 와서 야곱에게서 경건치 아니한 것을 제거하리라. 이는 내가 그들의 죄들을 없앨 때 그들에 대한 나의 언약이 이것임이라.’ 함과 같으니;라.”( 롬 11:25-27)

           뿐만 아니라 그는 사됴 요한을 통하여 자세하게 증거된 불법의 신비, 즉 적그리스도에 대한 증거와 앞으로 거짓 선지자로서 적그리스도를 도와 활동하게 될 큰 바벨론, 즉 오늘날의 바티칸의 신비에 대하여서도 증거했다:

“아무도 너희를 어떤 모양으로든지 너희를 미혹하지 못하게 하라. 이는 먼저 배교하는 일이 이르지 않고서는  그 날이 오지 아니함이라. 그리고 나서 그 죄의 사람 곧 멸망의 아들이 나타나리라. 그는 대적하는 자며, 또 하나님이라 불리는 모든 것과 숭배받는 대상 위에 자신을 높여 하나님의 성전에 앉아 하나님처럼 보여 자신을 하나님이라고 하느니라. 내가 너희와 함께 있었을 때에 너희에게 이 일들에 대해 말한 것을 기억하지 못하느냐? 이제 너희는 무엇이 막고 있는지를 아나니 이는 자기 때에 나타나려는 것이라. 불법의 신비가 이미 활동하고 있나니 현재는 막는 자가 있어 막을 것이나 그가 그 길에서 옮겨질 때까지만 그리하리라. 그리고나서 그 악한 자가 나타나리니 주께서 그를 자기 입에서 나오는 영으로 소멸하시고 그의 찬란한 오심으로 제거하시리라. 그 악한 자가 오는 것은 사탄의 역사에 따라 모든 능력과 표적들과 거짓 이적들과, 멸망하는 자들 안에 있는 모든 불의의 속임수로 오는 것이니, 이는 그들이 진리의 사랑을 받아들이지 아니하여 하나님께서 그들에게 강력한 미혹을 보내시어 거짓말을 믿게 하심은 진리를 믿지 않고 불의를 좋아하는 모든 자로 심판을 받게 하려 하심이라.”(살후 2:3-12)

          사도 요한은 앞으로 나타날 적그리스도가 거짓선지자에게 능력을 주어 큰 이적들을 행하게 하는데 심지어는 사람들 앞에서 불을 하늘에서 땅 위로 내려오게 할 것이라고 증거했다(계 13:13). 또한 앞으로 거짓선지자가 되어 적그리스도를 도와 일하게 될 자에 대하여, 큰 창녀라고 증거하였으며 “신비라, 큰 바빌론이라, 땅의 창녀들과 가증한 것들의 어미”라고 증거하였으며 현재의 바티칸 제국이 신비의 바빌론으로 다시 나타날 것을 증거했다.

     그렇다! 사람의 생각으로는 이해할 수도 믿을 수도 없는 신비들을 지금 믿는 사람들은 복된 자들이다. 성령이 아니고는 아무도 믿을 수 없는 것이다. 성령 안에만 하나님의 신비로운 증거들을 믿을 수 있는 지혜가 들어있기 때문인 것이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 99:1-9

Main scripture: 2Thessalonians 1:1-12

Subject: Jesus to be admired by the saints in the day of Christ

     Now we hear the message of condolence toward the Thessalonians that were persecuted by the Jews because of their preaching the gospel of Christ Jesus. At the same time we also hear the voice of the Holy Ghost toward us in the main passages. Apostle Paul wrote this epistle to them so that they might understand “the day of Christ” when Christ shall appear in the air to take his brides home, as well as “the day of the Lord” coming after the end of the Great Tribulation to judge the world. He also teaches us living in the last days seeing many kinds of tribulation through his two epistles to the Thessalonians that the Anti-Christ shall not appear unless the Rapture happens to pass; and that he shall appear after the falling away of the churches, then the Great Tribulation shall come to pass. His epistles are very important knowledge of the truth for us.

       The main passages testifies of the things that shall happen in the day of the Rapture when Christ shall appear in the air before the Great Tribulation to comfort the Thessalonians for they were persecuted because of the gospel of Christ Jesus.  This message also gives us the same condolence and confidence and hope.

       When the Lord Jesus Christ comes, he shall be glorified in his saints, and also shall be admired in all them that believe. Why the Lord Jesus shall be admired by the believers? Because they have never seen him, but they have waited for him by faith; when they meet the Lord, they shall find all the testimonies of the Apostle Paul and his co-workers exactly same as their testimonies. In other word, they shall be excited to when they see the Lord after their victorious life through the faith in the testimonies of the apostles, because they have endured all kind of sufferings and persecutions holding the words of the apostles.

      Then, what kinds of testimonies Apostle Paul and his co-worker had spoken unto them? Apostle Paul said to the saints of Corinthians, let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God (1Cor. 4:1). The testimonies of Apostle Paul unto the Thessalonians must be the mysteries of God related with Jesus Christ. Then, what are the mysteries? They shall be surprised how they had believed in the testimonies of Apostle Paul when they see the Lord Jesus. They shall see the Lord Jesus admiring him because the Lord Jesus shall not be different at all as they had heard of him. Because they had never seen him before they meet with him. Apostle Peter spoke to the elect through sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”(1pet. 1:8, 9)

      Firstly, Apostle Paul testified of the mystery of godliness. In other word, God became a man in the name of Jesus Christ:

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”(1Tim. 3:16)

     Secondly, he testified of Christ of mystery: “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: “(Col. 1:26,27)

     Thirdly, he also testified of the mysterious relationship between the church as the bride of Christ, consisting of born again Christians and Christ: “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”(Eph. 5:30-32)

     Fourthly, he also testified of the mystery of Rapture; the dead in Christ shall rise from the dead, and the living ones shall be changed into the incorruptible body to see the Lord in the air to married with him and live together with him forever:

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”(1Thes. 4:16-18)

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. “(1Cor. 15:51-53)

      Fifthly, he testified of the mystery of Israel saying,

They shall repent and be restored when Jesus Christ, the messiah of Israel: “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.”(Rom. 11:25-27)

       Not only these testimonies, he also testified of the mystery of iniquity that is related to the Anti-Christ as well as the great Babylon that shall help the Anti-Christ as the false prophet as testified by Apostle John in details. This is the mystery of Vatican:

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”(2Thes. 2:3-12)

     Apostle John testified that the false prophet receive the power from the Anti-Christ to do great wonders, so that he shall make fire come down from heaven (Rev. 13:13). He also testified of the false prophet that will help the Anti-Christ saying, “MYSTERY< BABYLON THE GREAT< THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” The empire of Vatican shall appear as the MYSTERY OF BABYLON again.

Yea! Blessed are they that believe in the mysteries of God that couldn’t be understood through the thoughts of man. Without the Holy Ghost, no one can believe in these mysteries, for the wisdom that gives understanding of the mysteries of God is only in the Holy Ghost. Amen! Hallelujah!
