금주의 묵상: 시편 110:1-7

본문: 이사야 64:1-4

제목: 주 예수 그리스도를 기다리는 자들을 위하여 예비하신 것을 알고 있는가?

     선지자 이사야는 세상이 시작된 이래로 하나님께서 계획하시고 예비하신 것이 무엇인지에 대해 아주 간단 명료하게 예언했다; “오 원컨대 주께서 하늘들을 가르고 내려오시며, 산들도 주의 면전에서 흘러내리기를 용해하는 불같이 타서 그 불이 물을 끓이게 하는 것 같이 되게 하시며, 주의 이름을 주의 대적들에게 알게 하셔서 민족들로 주의 면전에서 떨게 하소서! 주께서 내려오셔서 우리가 바라지 않았던 두려운 일들을 행하셨을 때, 산들이 주의 면전에서 흘러내렸나이다.”(사 64:1,2) 하나님께서 천지를 창조하신 후에 인간들이 사탄을 따라 범죄하였을 때 하나님께서 예비하신 한 가지가 무엇인지 성경은 분명하게 말씀하고 있다. 한 마디로 그를 믿지 않는 자들을 심판하시기 위하여 이 지구 상에 다시 오셔서 심판하신다는 것이다.

     이렇게 하나님께서 선지자 이사야를 통하여 분명하게 글로 남기셨는데 사람들이 들은 적도 없고, 귀로 깨닫지도 못하였으며, 눈으로 보지도 못하였다고 말씀하시는 것일까? 말씀 그대로 사람들이 이 말씀을 읽고 들어도 깨닫지 못하기 때문이다. 그런데, 단 한 부류의 사람들만이 하나님께서 최종적으로 예비하신 한 가지 일을 알고 있다는 것이다. 그렇다면 어떤 자들이 알고 있으며, 그외에 다른 사람들은 눈이 있어도 보지 못하고 귀가 있어 들었지만 깨닫지 못하는 것일까? 또한 주를 기다리는 자들은 어떤 사람들인가?

     성령님께서 사도 바울을 통하여 이 말씀에 대하여 아주 자세하게 증거하게 하셨다. 우선 먼저 눈이 있어도 보지 못하고 귀가 있어도 듣고 깨닫지 못하는 사람에 대하여 사도 바울은 성령 안에서 증거했다: “그러나 자연인은 하나님의 영의 일들을 받아들이지 아니하나니 이는 그 일들이 그 사람에게는 어리석게 여겨지기 때문이요, 또 알 수도 없나니 이는 그 일들이 영적으로만 분별되기 때문이니라.”( 고전 2:14)

이 말씀을 쉬운 방법으로 설명한다면 개나 고양이가 사람들이 계획한 일들을 아무리 연구해도 알 수 없듯이 하나님의 영이 없는 생물학적인 사람들은(biological men) 아무리 연구하고 공부하고 박사 학위를 받아도 하나님께서 계획하신 일들을 알 수 없다는 것이다. 성경 말씀은 원하기만 하면 누구나 읽을 수 있고 들을 수 있지만 하나님의 영이 없으면 그 어떤 사람도 하나님의 마음을 알 수도 읽을 수도 없는 것은 너무나도 당연한 일인 것이다. 그렇다면 하나님의 영은 어떤 것인가? 선지자 이사야는 하나님의 영에 대하여 자세하게 증거했다: “이새의 줄기에서 한 싹이 나며 그의 뿌리들에서 한 가지가 자랄 것이라. 주의 영이 그의 위에 머물리니 지혜와 명철의 영이요, 계획과 능력의 영이며, 지식과 주를 두려워하는 영이라.”(사 11:1,2)

다시 말해서, 하나님의 영은 주 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 영으로서 일곱 가지 영이 함께 거하는 영이라는 것이다. 사도 요한도 하늘 보좌에 올라갔을 때에 하나님의 보좌에 어린양이신 주 예수 그리스도를 보았는데 그분께서 일곱 눈을 가지셨고 그 일곱 눈은 온 땅에 보내심을 받은 하나님의 일곱 영이라고 증거했다 (계 5:6). 다시 말해서 하나님의 영은 주 예수 그리스도의 영을 말씀하시는 것이다. 또한 주 예수 그리스도의 영이 없는 사람은 하나님께서 계획하시고 예비하신 일들을 볼 수도, 들어서 깨달을 수도 없다는 것이다.

     세상에 있는 사람들은 나름대로 지혜를 얻고자 열심히 공부한다. 그 중에서 철학자들은 지혜를 사랑하는 자들로서 철학박사 학위를 받은 자들을 지칭하며 이 세상에서 가장 존경받는 지식인으로 인정되고 있는 것이다. 그러나 사도 바울은 성령 안에서 그들이 받은 지혜를 “인간의 지혜”라고 정의했다. 또한 사도 바울은 또 다른 지혜들에 관하여 증거하기를, 이 세상 사람들이 일반적으로 가지고 있는 지혜를 “이 세상의 지혜”라 정의 했으며, 특별히 이 세상 통치자들이 가지고 있는지혜를 “이 세상 통치자들의 지혜”라고 증거했다. 마지막으로 하나님의 지혜에 대하여 그는 신비 속에 있는 지혜로서 하나님께서 세상 전에 우리의 영광을 위하여 미리 정하신 감추어진 지혜라고 증거했다 (고전 2:5-7). 또한 이 세상 통치자들의 지혜를 무로 돌아갈 지혜라고 증거했으며 그 이유에 대하여 그들은 영광의 주이신 에수 그리스도를 알아보지 못하고 그분을 십자가에 못박았기 때문이라고 증거했다.

     그러나 하나님께서 창세 이래 예비하신 일에 대하여 하나님의 영을 받은 사람들에게 나타내셨고 하나님의 영을 받은 사람들은 이것뿐만 아니라 하나님의 깊은 것들까지도 통찰한다고 증거했다. 그 이유는 그들이 하나님의 영을 받았기 때문이다. 모든 사람들은 태어나면서부터 그 안에 사람의 영을 가지 태어난다. 그러나 그 영은 죄로 인해 죽은 영인 것이다. 하나님께서 아담에게 “선과 악의 지식의 나무에서 나는 것을 먹지말라. 네가 거기서 나는 것을 먹는 날에는 반드시 죽으리라.”(창 2:16,17)고 말씀하셨기에 그가 먹었을 때 그의 영이 죽었으며 그로 인해 그의 육신은 늙어서 구백삼십 년을 살다가 흙으로 돌아간 것이다. 그러므로 아담의 DNA를 받은 모든 사람들은 죽은 영을 물려받고 태어나는 것이다. 죽은 영이 살아계신 하나님의 영을 어떻게 보고 그분의 영적인 말씀을 들을 수 있겠는가? 하나님의 모든 말씀은 영이요 생명이기 때문이다 (요 6:63)

     그러므로 영적인 사람, 즉 하나님의 영이 있는 사람은 모든 사람을 판단할 수 있는 것이다 (고전 2:15). 왜냐하면 그의 영이 살아있기 때문이다. 그의 영이 살아있기 때문에 다른 사람들의 영이 살아있는지 죽어있는지 알 수 있는 것이다. 또한 하나님의 영을 가진 사람은 그리스도의 생각을 가지고 모든 것을 영적으로 분별하고 판단할 수 있는 것이다. 하나님의 영은 공부하고 노력해서 받는 것이 아니며 하나님께서 주셔야만 받을 수 있는 것이다. 그러므로 아무리 무식한 사람일지라도 하나님의 영을 받으면 하나님의 일에 대하여 기록된 성경말씀을 깨달을 수 있지만 아무리 신학자라 할지라도 하나님의 영이 없으면 하나님의 말씀을 들을 수도 깨달을 수도 없는 것이다.

     예수님께서 칠십 인 제자들이 전도하고 돌아왔을 때 바로 그시간에 영으로 기뻐하시며 말씀하셨다: “오 하늘과 땅의 주이신 아버지시여, 이런 일을 지혜롭고 슬기로운 사람들에게는 숨기시고 어린 아기들에게는 나타내신 것을 감사하나이다. 그러하옵니다. 아버지시여, 이는 그렇게 하시는 것이 아버지 보시기에 선함이니이다.. 내 아버지께서는 모든 것을 내게 주셨으니, 아버지외에는 누가 아들인지 아무도 모르며, 또 아들과 아들이 아버지를 계시하고자 하는  자 외에는 누가 아버지인지 아무도 모르나이다.”(눅 10:21-22)

또한 예수님께서 나귀타고 예루살렘에 입성하실 때 호산나를 외치며 그분을 찬양하는 아이들에 대하여 “어린 아기들과 젖먹이들의 입에서 나오는 찬양을 온전케 하셨나이다.’라는 말씀을 읽어보지 못하였느냐?”(마 21:16)라고 말씀하셨다. 그 당시 제사장들과 서기관들은 예수님의 예루살렘의 입성을 통하여 그분의 재림을 미리 보여주신 것을 알지 못했지만 아이들은 알았기 때문이었다.

또한 예수님께서 어린 아이를 주제로 설교하실 때에도 “진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 너희가 회심하지 아니하고, 또 어린 아이들과 같이 되지 아니하면 결코 천국에 들어가지 못하리라.”(마 18:3)고 말씀하셨다.

     그렇다! 사람이 어린아이처럼 하나님의 말씀에 모두가 죄인으로 태어났다고 하시면 그대로 믿고 회심하고 자신의 죄를 위하여 피를 쏟으시고 죽으신 예수님을 어린 아이처럼 영접하지 않고서는 하나님의 영을 받을 수 없으며 하나님께서 예비하신 일들을 볼 수도 알수도 믿을 수도 없는 것이다. 그러기에 예수님께서 이 세상 지혜를 가지고 자신을 나타내려 했던 바리새인 니고데모에게 말씀하신 것이다:

“진실로 진실로 내가 너에게 말하노니, 사람이 물과 성령으로 태어나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라에 들어갈 수 없느니라. 육신으로 난 것은 육이요, 또 성령으로 난 것은 영이니라.”(요 3:5,6)

다시 말해서 성령을 받아야 죽은 영이 살아나서 살아계신 하나님의 나라에 들어갈 수 있다는 것이다. 또 말씀하시기를, “모세가 광야에서 뱀응 들어올린 것같이 인자도 그렇게 들려올려져야만 하리니 이는 그를 믿는 사람은 누구든지 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이니라.”(요 3:14,15)

다시 말해서 모든 사람은 뱀에게 물려서 죽어 멸망하는 일이 시간 문제임을 깨닫고 광야에서 뱀에게 물렸던 유대인들이 믿음으로 장대에 매달린 놋뱀을 보고 산 것처럼  자신을 믿는 길만이 살 것임을 말씀하신 것이다.

인간의 지혜밖에 없었던 니고데모에게 하신 말씀은 이 세상 모든 사람들에게 하신 말씀 인 것이다. 또한 어린 아이가 되지 않고서는 이 말씀을 믿을 수도 순종할 수도 없는 것이다. 어떻게 십자가에 못박히신 예수님을 믿을 때에 영원한 생명을 받을 수 있단 말인가? 인간의 지혜나 세상의 지혜나 통치자의 지혜로는 도무지 믿을 수도 알 수도 없는 것이다. 어린 아이들만이 믿을 수 있는 것이다. 그러므로 돌이켜 어린아이가 되지 않고서는 하나님의 나라에 들어갈 수 없는 것이다.

     본문에 나타난 말씀처럼 조만간 주 예수 그리스도께서는 휴거된 성도들과 하늘을 가르고 이 땅에 믿지 않은 자들을 심판하시기 위하여 오실 것이다. 이 광경을 미리 본 사도 요한은 분명하게 증거했다: “또 내가 하늘이 열린 것을 보니 흰말이 보이더라. 그 위에 앉으신 분은 신실과 진실이라 불리며 의로 심판하고 싸우시더라. 그의 눈은 불꽃 같고 머리에는 많은 왕관이 있고 또 한 이름이 기록되어 있는데 그 자신 외에는 아무도 모르며 피에 적신 옷을 입었는데 그의 이름은 하나님의 말씀이라 불리더라. 또 하늘에 있는 군대들은 희고 정결한 세마포를 입고 휜 말들을 타고 그를 따르더라.”(계 19:11-14)

     하나님의 영을 받았는가? 그리스도의 생각을 가졌는가? 하나님께서 예비하신 일을 볼 수 잇는가? 하나님의 깊은 것들을 통찰할 수 있는가? 오늘 마음을 돌이켜 어린 아이가 되어 다시 한 번 자신을 점검해 보지 않겠는가?  오늘이 확신의 날, 그리고 은혜와 구원의 날이 되자! 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 110:1-7

Main scripture: Isaiah 64:1-4

Subject: Do you know what is prepared for them that are waiting for the Lord Jesus Christ?

     Prophet Isaiah testified very clearly of the things which God has prepared since he created the world: “Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!”(Isa. 64:1, 2)

Since God created heaven and earth, men had followed the Satan to commit sins against him; so God had prepared one thing as prophesied by the prophets. He will come to the world to judge the world that not believes him.

     Even though God has left his word in written through prophet Isaiah, how men couldn’t hear nor understand and nor see? Literally speaking, they couldn’t understand his word even though they read and hear. But only one kind of people knows the final thing that was prepared by God. Then who are they? Then why the other people cannot understand even though they have eyes and ears? And who are they that are waiting for the Lord?

     The Holy Ghost testified of this through Apostle Paul in details. Apostle Paul testified of them that cannot see with eyes as well as them that cannot hear with ears with no understanding in the Spirit:

“⁴But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”(1Cor. 2:14)

Let me explain about his testimony in an easy way to understand. As dogs and cats cannot understand the things which man prepare with plans, biological men without the Spirit of God cannot understand the things which God prepared, even though they study deeply unto getting PhD. The words of God can be read and heard if anyone wants to do; but no one can know the mind of God nor read his mine at all without the Spirit of God. Then what is the Spirit of God? Prophet Isaiah testified of the Spirit of God: “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; “(Isa. 11:1, 2)

In other word, the Spirit of God is the Spirit which is in the Lord Jesus Christ consisting of seven Spirits. Apostle John saw a Lamb of God, the Lord Jesus Christ sitting at the throne of God having seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth, when he went up heaven (Rev. 5:6). In other word, the Spirit of God is the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ. Without the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, no one can see the things which God neither prepared nor hear to understand.

     Men in the world are studying so hard to have wisdom as they want. Among them, there are philosophers that love wisdom; they have degree of PhD.  Therefore they are respected as best scholars in the world. But Apostle Paul called their wisdom as the wisdom of man in the Spirit; also general wisdom of man as the wisdom of the world; the wisdom of the prince of the world as the wisdom of the princes of this world. He also testified of the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the world unto his glory (1Cor. 2:5-7). He also testified of the wisdom of the princes of the world as that come to naught, for they crucified the Lord of glory.

     But God revealed the thing which he prepared before the world unto them that received the Spirit of God; and they can search all things, the deep things of God, for they received the Spirit of God. All men are born with their spirits from the birth, but theirs are dead ones unfortunately because of sin. God spoke to Adam, “Do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it, for in the day that thou eats thereof thou shalt surely die.”(Gen. 2:16, 17) Finally the spirit of Adam died when he ate it as God said. But his body continued to live until he died at the age of nine hundred thirty years returning to the ground of dust. Therefore, all men born of his DNA are born of dead spirit. How the dead spirit can see the living Spirit of God? How can he hear the spiritual word of God?   All the words of God are spirit and life (John 6:63).

     That’s the reason why the spiritual can judge all men (1Cor. 2:15), for his spirit is living one. His living spirit can discern the spirits of others whether they are living or dead. They that have the Spirit of God have the mind of Christ to judge all things. The Spirit of God cannot be received by any kind of study or efforts, but has to be given by God.  Therefore, even a totally ignorant man that has the Spirit of God can understand the word of God that is written of the things of God, but even a PhD cannot hear nor understand the word of God without the Spirit of God.

     Jesus spoke to the seventy disciples rejoiced in spirit when they came back from evangelism: “I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.”(Luke 10:21-22)

Jesus also spoke of the children that cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David, when he came into Jerusalem sitting on the ass:

“Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?”(Matt. 21; 16)At that time, the priest and scribes couldn’t see His Second Coming as a shadow, but the children knew it. When Jesus was teaching of the children, he spoke to them: “Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”(Matt. 18:3)

     Yea! All men have to believe in the word of God, when his word says of all men born as sinners; and to be converted to receive Jesus who died for their sins shedding all his blood. This is the only way for men to receive the Spirit of God to see the things and understand to believe which God prepared before the world. Therefore Jesus spoke to Nicodemus who manifested himself with the wisdom of the world: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”(John 3:5, 6)

In other word, man can enter into the kingdom of God when their spirit is quickened through the Spirit of God. Jesus also said to him:

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”(John 3:14, 15)

In other word, it is matter of time before all men die, for they are already bitten by the fiery serpents; so they have to behold him by faith as the people of Israel beheld the serpent of bronze on the pole to live. The word of Jesus spoken to Nicodemus is actually spoken unto all men in the world. Unless men became as little children, no one can believe this word of Jesus nor obey. How men can have eternal life upon believing in Jesus crucified on the cross two thousand years? No one can believe nor understand of this with the wisdom of man, or the wisdom of the world, or the wisdom of the princes of the world. Only babies can believe this. That is the reason why no one can enter in the kingdom of God, unless he becomes as little children.

     As the word revealed in the main passage, sooner or later, the Lord Jesus Christ will come to the earth taking with the saints raptured dividing the heaven to judge the world not believing him. Apostle John saw the scene in the Spirit and testified:

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.”(Rev. 19:11-14)

     Have you received the Spirit of God? Do you have the mind of Christ? Can you see the things which God prepared? Can you search the deep things of God? What about examine yourself becoming as little children? Let this day the day of convince and salvation! Amen Hallelujah!
