금주의 묵상: 시편 2:1-12

본문: 시편 1:1-6

제목: 하나님이 주시는 복

     그리스도인들을 포함해서 세상에 태어난 모든 사람은 복 받기를 원한다.

     그렇다면 복이 무엇인가? 복이 아닌 것을 복으로 알고 그 복을 받기를 원하며 살다가는 평생을, 아니 영원토록 후회하게 될 것이다.

     본문에서 하나님께서는 복을 받으려면 무엇을 하라고 말씀하시지 않고 복이 있는 사람은 그 삶이 축복을 누릴 것이라고 말씀하신다.

     하나님께서는 하나님의 사람 모세를 통하여 복에 대하여 오래 전에 말씀하셨다:

“내가 오늘 하늘과 땅을 불러서 너희에 대하여 증거를 삼아 네 앞에 생명과 죽음, 복과 저주를 두었은즉, 그러므로 너와 네 자손이 살려면 생명을 택할지니라.”(신 30:19)

     하나님께서는 모든 사람들 앞에 자신들이 원하는 것을 취할 수 있도록 생명과 죽음, 복과 저주를 두셨으며 복은 생명이며 저주는 사망임을 분명하게 말씀하신 것이다.

     하나님께서는 모든 사람들에게 복주시기 원하신디고 친히 말씀하셨다.

“그분께서 너희에게 약속하신대로  복 주시기를 원하노라.”(신 1:11)

     그렇다! 하나님께서는 세상에 살고 있는 모든 사람들에게 복주시기를 원하시는 것이다. 그러나 하나님이 주시는 복을 받기를 원하지 않으면 그 복을 받을 수 없는 것이다.

     하나님뿐만 아니라 현 세상을 다스리고 있는 마귀도 세상에 있는 모든 사람들에게 복주기를 원한다. 그러나 그 복은 사망으로 인도하는 썩어없어질 복인 것이다. 그는 사람들로 하여금 육신의 정욕, 안목의 정욕, 생의 자랑이 복인 줄 잘못 알도록 미혹하고 있다. 그는 첫 사람의 아내인 이브를 미혹하여 세 가지 육신적인 복을 취하도록 만들었던 것이다. 심지어 그는 하나님이신 예수님도 미혹하려 했다.

“네가 그것을 먹는 날에는 너희의 눈이 열리고 너희가 신들과 같이 되어서, 선과 악을 알게 되는 줄을 하나님께서 아심이라.”(창 3:5)

“네가 내게 엎드려 경배하면, 내가 이 모든 것들을 너에게 주리라.”(마 4:9)

     죽은 사람에게 어떤 복을 받기를 원하느냐고 묻는다면 그가 어떻게 대답할 것인가? 좋은 집, 좋은 차, 높은 지위, 기름진 음식 등등 어떤 것을 원하겠는가? 두말할 것 없이 그는 다시 살려달라고 애원할 것이다. 죽은 자는 아무 것도 더 이상 누릴 수 없지 않은가?

     제자 중 한 사람이 “나로먼저 가서 내 아버지를 장사지내게 하옵소서.”라고 예수님께 말씀드렸을 때, 주님께서는 “나를 따르라. 그리고 죽은 자들로그들의 죽은 자를 장사지내게 하라.”고 말씀하셨다 (마 8:21,22)

     다시 말해서 그 당시 주님을 믿어 생명을 받은 제자들 외에는 모두 죽은 자들이라는 말씀이 아닌가?

그런데, 그들이 죽은 자라는 사실을 알았을까? 그때 그들뿐만 아니라 오늘날 이 도성에 살고 있는 수많은 죽은 자들이 자신들이 죽은 자라는 것을 알고 있을까?

그때나 지금이나 사람들은 그들이 죽은 사실을 깨닫지 못하고 죽은 몸에 필요한 것들을 취하여 복을 받으려고 오늘도 바쁘게 뛰어다니며 재물을 모으려고 동분서주하고 있지 않은가? 이들에 대해 하나님께서는 다윗의 입을 통하여 말씀하셨다:

“진실로 사람마다 헛된 그림자같이 걸어다니며 진실로 그들이 헛되이 분주하니 재물을 쌓으나 누가 그것을 가질지 알지 못하나이다. 주여, 이제 내가 무엇을 기다리겠나이까? 나의 소망은 주께 있나이다.”(시 39:6,7)

     산 자인 다윗이 죽은 자들을 바라보면서 하나님께 드린 복있는 고백이 아닌가?

     오늘 본문에 복있는 사람이 나타난다. 하나님 말씀에 복있는 사람은 누구인가? 앞에서 말씀하신 것처럼 생명이 있는 사람이 아니겠는가? 이 세상에 태어난 어떤 사람도 생명을 가지고 태어난 사람은 단 한 사람도 없다고 단언할 수 있다. 다만 70년,강건하면 팔십 년 동안 목에 숨을 쉴 수 있도록 태어난 시한부 목숨인 것이다.

     그런데, 이 세상에 태어난 사람 중에 단 한 사람만 생명을 가지고 태어났다고 성경은 말씀하신다;

“태초에 말씀이 계셨고, 그 말씀이 하나님과 함께 계셨으니, 그 말씀은 하나님이셨느니라…그분 안에 생명이 있었으니 그 생명은 사람들의 빛이라….그 말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시므로, (우리가 그의 영광을 보니, 아버지의 독생자의 영광으로) 은혜와 진리가 충만하더라.”(요 1:1, 4, 14)

     오래 전에 하나님께서 아브람을 불러내시면서 그에게 약속의 말씀을 주셨다. 복에 대한 약속의 말씀을 주셨다:

“내가 너로 큰 민족을 이루게 할 것이며 네게 복을 주고 네 이름을 위대하게 하리니, 너는 복이 되리라. 너를 축복하는 자들에게 내가 복을 주고 너를 저주하는 자를 저주하리라. 네 안에서 땅의 모든 족속들이 복을 받을 것이라.”(창 12:2,3)

     성령께서는 아브라함에게 주신 복에 대하여 사도 바울을 통하여 말씀하셨다:

“그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 저주가 되셔서 율법의 저주로부터 우리를 구속하셨으니 기록되기를 ‘나무에 매달린 자는 누구나 저주받은 자라.’고 하였도다. 이는 아브라함의 복이 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 이방인들에게 미치게 함이며 또 우리로 하여금 믿음으로 말미암아 성령의 약속을 받게 하려는 것이라.”(갈 3:13, 14)

     본문에서는 말씀하시는 복 있는 사람은 주 에수 그리스도를 믿어 영접한 사람의 변화된 삶에 대하여 말씀하시는 것이다: “복 있는 사람은 악인들의 간계를 따르지 아니하며, 죄인들의 길에 서지 아니하며, 조롱하는 자들의 자리에 앉지 아니하는도다. 그의 즐거움이 주의 법에 있으니, 그가 주의 법을 주야로 묵상하는도다. 그는 강가에 심겨진 나무 같아서 계절을 따라 열매를 맺으며, 그의 잎사귀도 마르지 아니하리니, 그가 무엇을 하든지 번성하리로다.”(시 1:1-3)

또 다른 시편에서도 “주의 법 안에서 행하여 그 길에서 더럽혀지지 않은 자는 복이 있도다. 그의 증거를 지키고 전심으로 그를 구하는 자는 복이 있도다.”(시 119:1,2)라고 말씀하고 있다.

다시 말해서 무엇을 해야 복 있는 사람이라는 것이 아니고, 하나님의 영을 받아 영원한 생명의 복을 받은 사람은 축복된 삶을 누리게 된다는 결과론적인 말씀인 것이다.

     예수님께서도 유대인들에게 복이 있는 자에 대하여 말씀하실 때, 영이 가난한 자들, 애통하는 자들, 온유한 자들, 의에 굶주리고 목마른 자들, 자비로운 자들, 마음이 순결한 자들, 화평케 하는 자들, 의로 인하여 박해를 받는 자들이 복이 있다고 말씀하시면서 복 있는 자들은 천국이 저희 것이며, 위로를 받을 것이며, 땅을 유업으로 받을 것이며, 자비를 얻을 것이며, 하나님을 볼 것이며, 하나님의 자녀라 불릴 것이라고 말씀하셨다 (마 5:3-12)

     그렇다! 주 예수 그리스도를 믿어 영원한 생명을 받은 사람은 누구나 아브라함처럼 “복”이 되는 것이다. 또한 예수 그리스도의 생명의 복음을 전함으로써 죽은 자들에게 영원한 생명에 이르게하는 복을 줄 수 있는 것이다.

     “그 아들에게 입맞추라. 그렇지 않으면 그가 노하실 것이요, 그가 조금만 격분하셔도 너희가 그 길에서 망하리라 “그 (주 예수 그리스도)를 신뢰하는 모든 사람은 복이 있도다 “(시 2:12)라고 성경은 선포하셨다. 이 말씀은 그분께서 시온에서 왕이 되실 때에 그리스도를 믿어 복있는 자가 된 사람과 그분을 믿지 않은 악인의 결말에 대한 하나님의 최종적인 메세지인 것이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!.

Meditation of the week: Psalms 2:1-12

Main scripture: psalms 1:1-6

Subject: God’s blessing

      Whosoever is born in the world including Christians wants to be blessed.

     Then, what is blessing? If anyone wants to receive blessing not knowing about the true blessing, he shall repent at the end of his life, even eternally.

      In the main passage, God never said to do some works to be blessed, but he only said that the blessed one shall have blessed life.

     God spoke through Moses, the man of God long time ago about the blessing: “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”(Deut. 30:19)

     God is willing to set life and death, blessing and cursing before all men so that they may take whatever they like; blessing is life, and cursing is death as God said.

     God himself clearly spoke that he is willing to give blessing unto all men:   “……bless you, as he hath promised you!”(Deut. 1:11)

     Yes! God wants to bless all habitants in the world. But anyone doesn’t want to receive the blessing; no way to be blessed at all.

       Not only God, but also the Devil wants to bless all men so that he may lead them unto death that is corruptible. He always seduces them to receive the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. He tempted the wife of the first man that is Eve so that she might take three kinds of lusts that are carnal He even tried to tempt Jesus that is God: “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”(Gen. 3:5)

“All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.”(Matt. 4:9)

       If a dead man is asked what kind of blessing he wants to receive, what shall be his answer? What kinds of thing shall he ask for? luxury house?, nice car?, good position?, good meal?,  etc?

Definitely he shall ask to live again, for all these things are useless for the dead.

       One of the disciples of Jesus spoke to Jesus saying, “  Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. “Jesus said to him,“  Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. “(Matt. 8:21, 22)

     In other word, all men except the disciples of Jesus were dead men? Then did they understand that they were dead? What about people living in this city; how many of them might know that they are dead?  Even nowadays as the time of Jesus, people are running every day to be blessed through earning their money. God spoke of them through the mouth of King David: “Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.”(Ps. 39:6, 7)

This must be a blessed confession of living David unto God looking toward the dead.

     There appears the man blessed in the main passage. Who is the blessed in the word of God? As Jesus said, he is the one that has eternal life. No one is born having eternal life in the world. Everyone only has 70 years or 80 years if they are healthy as limited period of life.

     The word of God decaled of the only man that was born living eternally: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…..   ⁴In him was life; and the life was the light of men…..   ¹⁴And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”(John 1:1, 4, 14)

     Long time ago, God called out Abram to give a word of promise that was regarding blessing: “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”(Gen. 12”2, 3)

     He Holy Ghost spoke through Apostle Paul of the blessing given unto Abraham: “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”(Gal. 3:13, 14)

     The blessed man in the main passage is the one that has converted life through received the Lord Jesus Christ by faith:

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”(Ps. 1; 1-3) In other Psalms, “Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.”(Ps. 119:1, 2)

In other word, blessing cannot be received through any work, but through receiving the Spirit of God to have eternal life so that he can have blessed life as a result of it.

     Jesus also mention about the blessed such as the poor in spirit, they that mourn, the meek, they that are hunger and thirst for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peace maker, they that are persecuted. He also said, there is the kingdom of heaven; they shall obtain mercy; they shall see God; they shall be called the children of God; (Matt. 5:3-12)

     Yes! Whosoever received the Lord Jesus Christ to have eternal life is the blessing as Abraham. They can preach the gospel of life so that they may give the blessing unto eternal life unto the dead.

The word of God declared: ^“Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.”(Ps. 2:12) This is the message of God of them that are blessed through believing on the Jesus Christ, and the wicked not believing on him. Amen! Hallelujah!
