금주의 묵상: 시편 91:1-16

본문: 요한일서 5:1-14

제목: 세상을 이기는 믿음을 가졌는가?

     이 세상은 첫 사람 아담이 법죄한 육천 년 전부터 지금까지 사탄이 세상 통치자가 되어 정사와 권세와 이 세상 어두움의 주관자들과 높은 곳에 있는 악한 영들을 사용하여 통치하고 있다 (엡 6:12). 이 세상에 태어나는 모든 사람은 어느 민족을 막론하고 이 세상 통치자 아래에 출생신고를 하여야 한다. 공의의 하나님께서 이 사실을 인정하시면서 육천 년을 육 일 처럼 참고 기다리시면서 자신의 형상을 따라 창조하신 모든 사람들을 자신의 공의의 법에 의해 세상나라들로부터 해방하여 자신의 아들의 나라로 인도하실 계획을 하셨다 (골 1:13)..

     사도 요한은 성령 안에서 이 진리를 깨닫고 “죄를 짓는 자는 마귀에게 속하나니 이는 마귀가 처음부터 죄를 짓기 때문이라. 이 목적으로 하나님의 아들이 나타나셨으니, 곧 마귀의 일을 멸하시려는 것이라.”(요일 3:8)고 증거햇으며, 사도 바울도, “자녀들이 피와 살에 참여하는 자인 것같이 그 역시 같은 모양으로 동일한 것에 참여하신 것은 자신의 죽음을 통하여 죽음의 세력을 가진자, 곧 마귀를 멸망시키며 또 죽음을 두려워하므로 평생을 노예로 속박되어 있는 자들을 놓아주시려 함이니라.”(히 2:14, 15)고 증거했다.

     다시 말해서 이 세상에 태어난 모든 사람은 피와 살을 가진 육체로 태어나기에 날 때부터  그 피와 살(DNA)에 죄와 사망과 저주가 있어서 사망 안에서 편생을 종노릇할 수밖에 없기에 태초에 말씀으로 계셨고 하나님과 함께 게셨으며 만물을 창조하셨으며 자신 안에 생명을 가지신 하나님의 독생자이신 예수께서 (요 1:1-3, 14) 이 세상의 메시야(그리스도)가 되시려고 우리와 같은 몸과 피를 가지시고 태어나신 것이다. 자신이 창조하신 사람들을 다시 찾으시기 위하여는 자신이 죽으심으로써 만이 죄의 문제를 해결하실 수 있으며 동시에 다시 살아나셔야만 사망의 문제를 해결하실 수 있으시기 때문인 것이다. 하나님께서는 죄의 값이 사망 (롬 6:23)이라는 자신의 법을 스스로 복종하시는 공의의 하나님이시기 때문이다. 다시 말해서, 하나님께서는 자신이 정하신 진리를 변개하는 분이 아니신 것이다..

      하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성을 택하시고 그들을 이집트로 인도하셨으며 그들로 하여금 파라오의 종이 되게 하셨고 모세를 통해 그들을 이집트로부터 해방시켜주셨다. 그러나 그들은 자신들이 이집트의 노예가 된 것도 모르며 하루하루 끼니를 이어가면서 살고 있었다. 마찬가지로 우상으로 가득찬 이집트 같은 이 세상에 태어난 사람들 역시 유아원, 유치원, 초등학교, 중고등 학교, 대학교, 대학원을 다니며 정신 없이 지내다가 직장에 들어가고 결혼 하고 자식을 낳고 바쁘게 생존경쟁에 속에 들어가 살면서도 자신들이 이 세상 신이 통치하는 바퀴 속에서 맴돌고 있는 것을 깨닫지 못하고 있는 것이다. 이스라엘 백성들은 하나님께서 모세와 아론을 보내서 그들을 구원코자 하였지만 그들은 그 곳에서 노예 생활하는 것이 익숙해져 있는지라 구원자인 모세의 말을 듣지 않았던 것이다. 그러나 하나님께서 파라오로 하여금 그들을 극심하게 핍박하게 하셨고 하나님의 재앙이 이집트에 쏟아지는 것을 보고 비로소 그들은 모세를 따라 나섰던 것이다.

     이 세상을 구원하시려고 하늘로부터 나타나신 그리스도 예수께서는 지난 이천 년 동안 성령을 통하여 세상 모든 사람들에게 마귀의 통치 아래서 탈출하여 하나님의 왕국으로 들어가라고 책망하시며 권면하고 계신 것이다. 세상 모든 죄들을 자신의 몸에 전가받으시고 죽으셨다가 부활하신 주 예수 그리스도께서는 성령을 통하여 자신을 믿지 않는 것이 죄이며, 자신을 믿음으로 의로워지지 않으면 하나님의 왕국에 들어갈 수 없으며, 이 세상 통치자인 마귀는 이천 년 전에 이미 심판을 받았기에(요 16:8-11)그분을 믿지 않고 살게 되면 마귀와 함께 영원한 심판을 함께 받게 되어 멸망으로 들어갈 것이라고 지금까지 증거하고 계시는 것이다.

      이집트 같은 세상에서 구원받는 길은 죽었다가 다시 태어나는 것이라고 예수께서 말씀하셨다 (요 3:3,5). 다시 말해서 이 세상에서 죽고 하나님의 왕국에서 다시 새롭게 태어나지 않고서는 구원받을 길이 없는 것이다. 그러면 어떻게 죽었다가 다시 살아날 수 있단 말인가? 예수께서는 그 길을 알려주셨다. “나는 부활이요 생명이니 나를 믿은 자는 죽어도 살 것이며 또 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 죽지 아니하리라.”(요 11:25, 26) 구세주이신 예수 그리스도를 믿을 때 모든 사람은 세상에서 죽어 해방되는 것이다. 동시에 생명이신 그분을 마음으로 모셔드릴 때에 생명을 받아 다시 하나님의 왕국에서 태어나는 것이다. 사도 요한은 이 진리를 깨닫고 “누구든지 그를 영접한 사람들에게는 하나님의 아들들이 되는 권세를 주셨으니, 즉 그이 이름을 믿는 사람들에게니라. 그들은 혈로나 육신의 뜻으로나 또한 사람의 뜻으로 나지 아니하였고 하나님에게서 난 사람들이라.”(요 1:12, 13)고 증거했다. 그렇다! 사망의 노예로부터 해방시킬 수 있는 분은 오직 한 분 주 예수 그리스도밖에 없는 것이다. 문제는 자신이 현재 노예생활을 하고 있는 것을 깨달아야 하는 것이다. 다시 말해서 비참한 죄인임을 알아야 하는 것이다. 다시 말해서 언젠가는 죽는 것을 깨달아야 한다는 말이다. 지식으로 아는 것과 깨닫는다는 것은 천국과 지옥과 같은 차이인 것이다.

     이런 연유로, 사도 요한은 본문에서 “예수가 그리도이심을 믿는 사람은 누구나 하나님께로부터 태어났으며, 낳으신 그분을 사랑하는 사람은 누구나 그분께로부터 태어난 자도 사랑하느니라.”(요일 5;1)고 증거하고 있다. 다시 말해서, 예수라는 이름으로 이 땅에 태어나신 하나님의 독생자가 바로 이 죄악 세상으로부터 해방시키시는 그리스도 즉, 메시야라는 사실을 믿는 자마다 하나님의 영이신 성령을 받아 하나님께로부터 다시 태어난다는 것이다. 또한 이 세상으로부터 해방되어 하나님께로부터 태어난 자는 누구든지 세상을 이기게 되는 것이다 (요일 5:4). 이것이 바로 믿음의 능력인 것이다. 마치 빛이 모든 어두움을 물리치고 이기듯이 영원한 생명을 가진 사람은 육신이 죽어도 살기 때문에 죄와 사망이 가득찬 이 세상을 생명으로 이길 수 있는 것이다. 다시 말해서 죽음을 두려워하지 않는 능력자가 되는 것이다.

     성령님께서 주 예수 그리스도의 이름을 증거하시기 위해 이 세상에 처음 나탄셨던 오순절 날에 이 성령을 받은 사도 베드로의 설교 속에서도 메시야이신 그리스도의 영이 세상을 향하여 말씀하시는 음성을 들을 수 있는 것이다: “회개하라, 그리고 죄들을 사함받은 것으로 인하여 너희 각자는 에수 그리스도의 이름으로 침례를 받으라. 그리하면 너희가 성령의 선물을 받으리라. 이 약속은 너희와 너희 자녀에게 한 것이며, 또한 먼 곳에 있는 모든 사람, 즉 주 우리 하나님께서 부르신 모든 사람에게 하신 것이라…너희는 이 사악한 세대로부터 구원을 받으라.”(행 2:38-40)

     주님께서 이 세상을 떠나시기 얼마 전에 제자들에게 “내가 이런 일들을 너희에게 말한 것은 너희가 내 안에서 화평을 지니게 하려 함이라. 세상에서는 너희가 환난을 당할 것이나 기운을 내라. 내가 세상을 이겼노라.”(요 16:33)고 말씀하셨다.

사도 요한은 자신이 세상을 이긴 자가 된 것이 세상을 이기신 분께서 자신 안에 계시기 때문이라고 증거했다: “어린 자녀들아, 너희는 하나님께 속하였고 또 그들을 이겼으니, 이는 너희 안에 계신 분이 세상에 있는 자보다 더 크시기 때문이라.”(요일 4:4)

     사도 요한은 본문 가운데서 또 한 가지 중요한 증거를 한다: “하나님의 아들을 믿는 자는 자기 안에 그 증거가 있고, 하나님을 믿지 아니하는 자는 하나님을 거짓말쟁이로 만드나니 이는 하나님께서 그 아들에 관하여 주신 증거를 믿지 아니하기 때문이라. 또 증거는 이것이니, 하나님께서 우리에게 영생을 주신 것과, 이 생명이 그의 아들 안에 있다는 것이라. 그 아들이 있는 자는 생명이 있고 하나님의 아들이 없는 자는 생명이 없느니라.”(요일 5:10-12)

     그렇다! 아들 안에 있는 생명은 하나님께서 주신 평안을 주신다. 이 평안은 죽음도 초월할 수 있는 참 능력인 것이다. 그야말로 “여호와 샬롬”인 것이다. 믿음을 가졌는가? 이 평안을 가졌는가?  이 세상을 이기고 있는가? 오직 주 예수 그리스도를 믿는 길박에 없는 것이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: psalms 91:1-16

Main scripture: 1John 5:1-14

Subject: Do you have the faith to overcome the world?

       Since Adam, the first man sinned, the Satan has been ruling this world using his principality, the power, the rulers of the darkness and evil spirits in the high place for six thousand years (Eph. 6:12). Therefore whosoever born in this world has to register the birth under the prince of the world regardless of any nations of people. God of righteousness has been recognizing this to wait six thousand years with patience as six days to free all men from the world into the kingdom of His Son Jesus Christ according to the law of righteousness (Col. 1:13)

       Apostle John testified of this in the Spirit:   ^“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”(1John 3:8)

Apostle Paul also testified of this:  ^“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”(Heb. 2:14, 15)

       In other word, all men born in the blood and flesh in this world have sin and death and curses in their DNA to live under bandage of these curses; this is the reason why the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God had to appear in this world with the flesh and  the blood without sin to save this world as the Messiah, even though he was the Word in the beginning living with God as well as the Creator of all things which has life within him (John 1:1-3, 14). He had to die to take away the sin of the world to find the people that were created by him; and also he had to rise again from the dead to destroy death. God is righteous, and he had to obey his law that the wage of sin is death (Rom. 6:23). In other word, he never changes his law of truth according to the situation.

       God had chose Israel, and led them to Egypt to make them the slaves of Pharaoh; and he delivered them from Egypt sending Moses.

At that time they used to live day by day seeking daily food ignoring themselves as the slaves of Pharaoh. What about people living in 21^st Century? People born in the world as Egypt surrounded by many idols are keeping busy from the birth learning at nursery, kindergarten, elementary school, junior and senior high school, college, and graduate school and so on; and getting marry to give birth to the children; and desperately involving in competition to survive their life. But it is so hard to find out anyone that understands that they are living in the cage that is made by the prince of the world. People of Israel were so much used to living as slaves so that they couldn’t listen to Moses and Aaron sent by God as the deliverers. This is the reason why God allowed Pharaoh persecuted them extremely; and God poured his wraths unto Egypt so that they finally followed Moses.

      Christ Jesus from heaven has been reproving and encouraging all men in this world to escape from the ruling of the Devil to enter into the kingdom of God through the Holy Ghost for two thousand years. The Holy Ghost that came to the world in the name of Jesus is still testifying after Jesus Christ received the sin of the world in his flesh to die and rose again from the dead saying, of sin because they not believe in him, and of righteousness, because they cannot see him because they are not righteous through him; and of judgment, the prince of this world is judged (John 16:8-110. Therefore whosoever doesn’t believe in him shall be judged with the Devil eternally to be perished.

        Jesus testified of the way to be saved from the world; it is to be born again (John 3:3, 5). In other word, to die in this world, and to born again as the new creature in the kingdom of God; and no other way at all. Then how anyone dies and lives again? Jesus showed the way saying, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? “(John 11:25, 26)

In other word, when man believes in the Saviour Jesus Christ, he can be free from the world through death. And when he receives him, the Lord of live, he is to be born in the kingdom of God. Apostle John testified of this in the Spirit:   ^“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God”(John 1:12, 13).  Yea! It is only Jesus Christ that can free the slaves of death. But the issue is that man has to understand himself living as the slave of death. In other word, he has to understand himself a miserable sinner. In other word, he has to understand, he shall die sooner or later. The knowledge of death is totally different from understanding of death as heaven and hell.

       In this reason, Apostle John testifies, Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. (1John 5:1)

In other word, whosoever believe in the name of Jesus, the only begotten Son of God that was born to be Christ, the Messiah to free all men from the wicked world shall receive the Spirit of God, the Holy Ghost and to be born from God. Ad whosoever is born from God is able to overcome the world (1John 5:4). This is the power of faith. As the light could destroy all the darkness, whosoever has the eternal life can overcome this world full of sin and death through life as light. In other word, he can be the powerful man not fearing death at all.

       In the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Ghost came to the world for the first time to testify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Apostle Peter preached to the Jews so that they might hear the voice of the Spirit of Christ toward the world: “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call….. Save yourselves from this untoward generation.”(Acts 2:38-40)

       The Lord Jesus spoke unto his disciples, ^“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”(John 16:33)

Apostle John testified, he could overcome the world because the One that overcame the world is within him saying, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”(1John 4:4)

       Apostle John testifies of another very important thing in the main passage:  ^“He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”(1John 5:10-12)

         Yea! The Life in the Son gives peace from God. This peace is the true peace that is beyond death; this is called as “Jehovah Shalom”. Do you have such faith? Do you have this peace? Are you overcoming the world? It is only in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen! Hallelujah!
