금주의 묵상: 시편 24:1-10

본문: 로마서 13:11-14

제목: 주 안에서 빛의 갑옷을 입고 있는가?

       사도 바울이 이 말씀을 증거한지 벌써 이천 년이 지났다.  어떤이들은 빈정거리며 “지금까지 아무 일도 일어나지 않았는데 무엇이 그렇게 가까왔다고 말하는 것인가?”라고 말하는 사람들이 있을 것이다. 그런 사람들은 자신에게 주어진 시간이 얼마나 남았는지 심각하게 생각해 보아야 할 것이다.

       사도 바울은 그 당시 성도들에게 그들의 구원이 더 가까워졌다고 말하고 있는것이다. 이 세상은 주 예수 그리스도께서 오시기 전까지는 어두운 밤과 같은 세상이다. 의의 태양이신 그분이 오셔야만 빛을 비추실 수 있기 때문이다. 그러나 그분께서 더디 오실지라도 몸을 벗고 영과 혼이 주님을 만나는 날이 점점 가까이 오고 있는 것이다. 몸을 떠나 그분을 만날 때 빛의 나라로 들어가기 때문이다. 그러나 지금 세대는 우리가 몸을 떠나기 전에 그분께서 먼저 오실 수 있는 때에 와 있으니, 본문에서 사도 바울이 말씀한 것처럼 “우리가 그 때를 아노니 지금은 바로 잠에서 깨어나야 할 시간이로다. 이는 지금이 우리가 믿었던 때보다 우리의 구원이 더 가까워졌음이라.”(11절)고 말할 때인 것이다.

       지금이야말로 어두움의 행위를 모두 벗어버리고 빛이신 하나님의  말씀의 갑옷을 입고 이 어두운 세상에 빛을 비추어야 할 때인 것이다. 또한 세상사람들처럼 흥청거리거나 술취하지 말고 음란하거나 방탕하지 말며 다투거나 시기하지 말며 오직 주 예수 그리스도로 옷입고 정욕을 채우려고 하는 모든 육신의 계획을 정리할 때인 것이다. 사도 바울 시대에 있었던 성도들이 그렇게도 바랐던 그리스도의 날이 우리 앞에 선명하게 보이는 때에 우리는 정신을 차리고 두렵고 떨림으로 부활의 날을 바라보면서 우리의 몸의 구속의 날까지 구원을 이루어가면서 그리스도의 심판 석에서 칭찬과 존귀를 받는 모두가 되어야 할 것이다.

     우리는 다시 한 번 예수님께서 제자들에게 하셨던, 때에 관한 예언의 말씀을 깊히 묵상해야 할 것이다: “무화과나무의 한 비유를 배우라. 그 가지가 유연해지고 잎이 나오면 여름이 가까운 줄 너희가 아나니, 이와같이 너희도 이 모든 것을 보면 그 일이 가까이, 곧 문들 앞에 이른 줄 알라. 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 이 세대가 지나가기 전에 이 모든 일이 이루어지리라. 하늘과 땅은 없어져도 내 말들은 결코 없어지지 아니하리라.”(마 24:32-35)

천지는 없어져도 주님께서 하신 말씀은 없어지지 않을 것이라고 하시면서 하신 말씀이니 이 얼마나 중요한 말씀인가? 다시 말해서 이 주님의 말씀을 잊어버리면 도둑같이 그 날이 올 것이라는 경고의 말씀인 것이다.

       사람들이 얼마나 무지한지 자신의 삶의 너비가 얼마나 되는지는 전혀 생각하지 않으면서 하나님의 말씀이 언제 이루어지겠냐는 둥 말하는 것을 본다. 사도 베드로는 마지막 날들에 이런 자들이 일어날 것을 미리 증거했다: “먼저 알 것은 이것이니 마지막 닐들에 조롱하는 자들이 와서 그들의 정욕대로 행하며, 말하기를 ‘그가 온다는 약속이 어디 있느냐? 조상들이 잠든 이래로 만물은 창조의 시작부터 그대로 있다.’ 하리니 이는 그들이 이것을 고의로 잊으려 함이라.”(벧후 3:4,5)

사실 이렇게 말하며 조롱하며 주님이 오신다는 약속이 어디 있느냐면서 주님을 기다리는 신부들을 핍박하는 사람들은 주님이 오시는 것을 고의로 잊으려하는 자들인 것이다. 다시 말해서 주님이 오시는 것을 두려워하는 사람들인 것이다. 첫 번째로는 아직 구원을 받지 못했기 때문이며, 두 번째로는 구원을 받았을지라도 죄 가운데 있기에 주님맞을 준비가 되지 않았기 때문일 것이다.

     우리가 주일마다 예배를 드리려고 나오는 이유가 무엇인지 오늘만큼은 심각하게 생각해 보았으면 한다. 교회에 안 나오면 무엇인가 죄를 지은 것 같아서인가? 교회에 안나오면 무엇이 잘못 될것 같아서인가? 그렇지 않으면 하나님께 눈도장 찍으려고 나온 것인가? 그렇지 않다면 진정으로 하나님께 영과 진리로 에배를 드리려고 나온 것인가? 또한 어떤 마음으로 예배에 임하고 있는지도 다시 한번 생각해 보야야 할 것이다. 혹시 여러분들 가운데 “주님이 내가 살아있을 동안에는 절대로 오시지 않을 것이니 이대로 적당히 교회생활 하다가 나중에 주님께서 오실 때 부활하면 되지”라고 생각하는 사람이 있는가?

       그러나 우리는 하나님의 말씀을 오해해서는 안될 것이다. “주께서 호령과 천사장의 음성과 하나님의 나팔소리와 함께 하늘로부터 친히 내려오시리니 그러면 주 안에서 죽은 자들이 먼저 일어나고, 그리고 나서 살아남아 있는 우리도 공중에서 주와 만나기 위하여 그들과 함꼐 구름 속으로 끌려 올라가리니, 그리하여 우리가 영원히 주와 함께 있으리라. 그러므로 이러한 말로 서로 위로하라.”(살전 4:16-18)

이 말씀은 사도 바울이 박해 가운데 복음을 전하면서 주님이 오시는 날만 기다리는 데살로니가 교회 성도들에게 전하는 위로의 말씀임을 알아야 한다. 그들은 주님을 기다리다가 죽었을 때에 주 안에 있었다. 그들은 주 안에 있었기에 주 안에서 죽었던 것이다.

        불행하게도 많은 크리스챤들이 자신들이 죽은 후에 주님이 오시면 되니 주님 기다리는 신부단장 안해도 될 것이라는 막연한 생각을 가지고 사는 것을 본다. 하나님의 말씀은 분명하게 우리에게 말씀하신다. 주 안에서 죽은 자들과 주님을 기다리며 세마포 준비하는 사람들만이 첫째 부활인 휴거에 참여한다는 사실을 말씀하고 있다는 것이다. 사도 바울은 고린도교회 성도들에게 분명하게 증거했다: “아담 안에서 모든 사람들이 죽은 것같이 그리스도 안에서 모든 사람을 살게 하려 함이라. 그러나 각자 서열대로 되리니 그리스도가 첫열매들이요, 그 다음은 그리스도께서 오실 때 그분께 속한 사람들이라.”(고전 15:22,23)

또한 그는 “그리스도께 속한 자들”에 관하여 갈라디아 교회 성도들에게 증거했다: “그리스도께 속한 사람들은 그 육신을 욕정과 정욕과 함께 십자가에 못박았느니라.”(갈 5:24) 다시 말해서 그들은 성령의 열매를 맺으면서 사는 사람들이라 했다.

       우리에게 내일은 없다. 이 예배가 끝나면 단 한 시간 내에 어떤 일이 일어날지 아무도 모른다. 하나님께 예배드리고 있는 이 시간이야말로 우리에게 가장 중요한 시간인 것이다. 하나님께서 수천년 동안 참고 기다리시면서 한 사람이라도 더 구원하시기를 원하시는 것을 깨달아야 하는 것이다. 구원을 받지 못한 채 이 자리를 떠나는 사람이 있다면 가장 어리석은 사람일 수밖에 없을 것이다. 또한 구원을 받았을지라도 육신의 정욕을 버리기로 작정하지 못하는 사람 역시 어리석은 사람인 것이다. 자신 안에 하나님의 영이신 예수 그리스도의 영이 있는 자만이 절대로 지옥에 가지 않을 것을 100% 확신할 수 있는 것이다. 왜냐하면, 예수의 증거가 예언의 영이기 때문이다(계 19:10). 이 예언의 영이 증거하는 소리를 듣고 있는가?

        그렇다! 오늘이 구원받을 날이요, 은혜받을 날이다. 또한 그리스도께 속한 자가 되어 첫째 부활인 휴거에 참여하기 위하여 결단하는 날인 것이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 24:1-10

Subject: Are you putting on the armour of light in the Lord?

    It has already passed two thousand years since Apostle Paul testified of this word. There could be someone that is murmuring, “Nothing has happened yet, then how could he said, our salvation nearer than we believed?” If anyone thinks same way now, he or she had better think about how much time left for them in this earth seriously.

       Apostle Paul wanted the saints at his time to know their salvation was nearer. This world is like dark night until the Lord Jesus Christ comes again. Only the Sun of righteousness that is the Lord Jesus can shine the light to the world in darkness. Even though we may think he is coming too much slowly, our day of salvation of our spirit and soul is nearer day by day. When we leave our body to see the Lord, we shall enter into the kingdom of light. But we are living in the generation in which the Lord Jesus may come before we leave our body. Therefore we may say as Apostle Paul said,  ^“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.”(Rom. 13:11)

     It is the right time when we cast off the works of darkness to put on the armour of light to shine the light unto the world in darkness. It is also right time when we have to walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in strife and envying as the worldly people; and we have to put on with the Lord Jesus Christ out of all kinds of the carnal plans. The day of Christ that was expected to come desperately in the days of Apostle Paul is appearing very vividly before our spiritual eyes; therefore we should be prepared to be honored at the judgment seat of Christ with trembling and fear waiting for the day of resurrection.

       It is right time when we should meditate the word of timing that was spoken to the disciples of Jesus once again:   ^“So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. “(Matt. 24:32-35)

What an important message it is, because his words shall not pass away, even though heaven and earth shall pass away! In other word, if we forget his words, the day of the Lord shall come as the thief.

       We hear the words of men that are so much foolish saying, when the words of God are going to be achieved as said not understanding how much life time is left for them. Apostle Peter testified of such kinds of people to come: “Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of,…..”(2Pet. 3:4,5)

       As a matter of fact, such kinds of people that are persecuting the bride of Christ that are waiting for Christ to appear are willingly to forget his day even though they know it. In other word, they fear the day of Christ; firstly, they are not saved yet; secondly they are not ready to see him for they are in sins of darkness, even though they are saved.

       We’d better think seriously about the reason why we are here in the church today to worship the Lord. If you not attended Sunday service, would you feel guilty? Or do you have any fear thinking something bad could happen? Or are you here to say hello greeting God? Or do you want to worship the Lord God in spirit and truth praising the Lord for his salvation though his blood? Is there anyone that is saying in the heart? : “The Lord Jesus won’t come back during my life in the earth; therefore I’m going to practice a church attending expecting to rise again when Jesus come later after I die.”

       We are not supposed to misunderstand the word of God as follows, ^“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”(1Thes. 4; 16-18) This message of comfort was given unto the saints of Thessalonians church that had waiting for the day of Christ preaching the gospel under severe persecution of the Jew. They were in the Lord when they died. They died in the Lord, because they were already in the Lord.

        Unfortunately, many Christians are thinking that they don’t need prepare the white linen for Christ, because Christ shall come after they die. The word of God proclaims clearly unto us; only they that die in the Lord and are preparing the white linen are going to be the partakers of the first resurrection that is the Rapture. Apostle Paul testified very clearly unto the saints of Corinthians church of this: ^“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.”(1Cor. 15:22,23)

He also testified of who they that are Christ’s to the church of Galatians are: And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”(Gal. 5:24) They are bearing the fruit of the Spirit crucifying the flesh.

       We don’t have tomorrow to come at all. We don’t know what will happen even one hour later after this worship service. We have to understand the heart of God that has been waiting several thousand years even for one soul to be saved. If someone is going to leave this sanctuary not being saved today, he must be a foolish one. Only they that have the Spirit of Jesus Christ that is of God can have 100% assurance not going to the hell. Because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy (Rev. 19:10). Are you hearing the testimony of the spirit of prophesy now?

      Yea! Today is another chance for you to receive salvation and grace, if you have not been sure go to heaven. Today is also another day to make resolution to be Christ’s to be the partaker of the first resurrection, if you have already been saved. Amen! Hallelujah!
