금주의 묵상: 시편133:1-3

본문: 요한복음 14:1-12

제목: 신부들에게 하신 신랑 예수님의 약속

     오늘 본문 말씀은 예수께서 마지막으로 유월절을 지키시면서 제자들과 함꼐 식 중에 하신 약속의 말씀이다.

이 약속을 절대로 잊지말라고 당부하시면서 “그렇지 아니하면 내가 너희에게 말하였으리라.”(2절)고 다짐하셨다. 주님의 이 약속은 앞으로 공중으로 나타나셔서 자신의 신부들을 데리고 가시겠다는 그리스도의 날, 즉 휴거의 날에 대한 첫 번째 암시의 말씀인 것이다. 다른 곳(마 24:29,30)에서 말씀하신 지상 재림은 대환란 끝에 이 땅에 심판하시러 오신다는 말씀이다.

       이 약속은 조만간 우리들 눈에 나타나게 될 것이다. 성경 전체를 통하여 빛의 말씀들을 상고하는 사람들만이 알 수 있다. 사도 바울이 데살로니가 교회 성도들에게 말한 것처럼, 우리는 어두움에 있지 아니하기 때문에 그 날이 도둑같이 덮치지 못할 것이다 (살전 5:4,5). 그렇다면 어떻게 주님께서 그의 신부들을 하늘로 데려가실 것인가? 혈과 육은 하나님의 나라를 상속받을 수 없으며 썩을 것은 썩지 아니하는 것을 상속받을 수 없는데(고전 15:50), 어떻게 하늘나라에 갈 수 있단 말인가? 세상 교육은 모든 사람들로 하여금 하나님의 말씀을 믿지 못하도록 하고 있는 것이다. 그러므로 사람들은 하나님의 말씀을 들을 때 “어떻게?”라는 말로 시작하기 때문에 믿을 수 없게 되는 것이다. 다시 말해서 세상 교육은 모든 사람들로 하여금 하나님처럼 만들 것처럼 모든 지식을 주입하고 있으며  만사를 이성으로 판단하도록 만들어 어떤 말이 합리적(Reasonable)이면 믿고 그렇지 않으면 믿지 못하게 하는 것이다. 그러나, 성경은 사람의 “마음은 만물보다 거짓되고 심히 악하니 누가 그것을 알 수 있으리요?”(렘 17:9)라고 선포하신다.

        성령께서는 사도 바울을 통하여 혈과 육을 벗어버리고 죽지 않고 썩지 않고 더 이상 피도 없이 부활하는 것에 관하여 세상 사람들에게 어떻게 말할 것을 가르쳐 주셨다:

“어떤 사람들이 말하기를 ‘죽은 자들이 어떻게 일으켜지며 또 어떤 몸으로 오는가?’라고 하니, 너 어리석은 자야, 네가 뿌린 씨가 죽지 않으면 살아나지 못하리라. 또 네가 뿌리는 것은 앞으로 될 형체를 뿌리는 것이 아니라 밀이나 다른 씨앗의 알맹이일 뿐이나 하나님께서는 자기 뜻대로 씨앗에다 형체를 주시느니라. 모든 육체가 다 같은 육체는 아니니 어떤 것은 사람의 육체요, 어떤 것은 짐승의 육체며, 어떤 것은 새의 육체라, 또한 하늘에 속한 몸들도 있고 땅에 속한 몸들도 있으나 하늘에 속한 것들의 영광이 다르고 땅에 속한 것들의 영광도 다르니라. 하나는 해의 영광이요 또 하나는 달의 영광이며, 또 다른 하나는 별들의 영광이니 이는 영광에 있어서 한 별이 다른 별과 다르기 때문이라. 죽은 자들의 부활도 이와 같으니 썩을 것으로 심겨서 썩지 아니하는 것으로 일으켜지며, 수치로 심겨서 영광된 것으로 일으켜지며 약한 것으로 심겨서 능력 있는 것으로 일으켜지며 육신의 타고난 몸으로 심겨서 영광된 것으로 일으켜지느니라. 육신의 타고난 몸이 있고 또 영적인 몸이 있느니라.”(고전 15:35-44)

       이 말씀은 그야말로 신비로운 말씀이다. 신비롭다는 것은 혈과 육을 가진 사람들은 도무지 알 수도 깨달을 수도 없는 말씀이기 때문이다. 살리는 것은 영이니 육은 전혀 무익하다고 말씀하시면서 하나님의 모든 말씀은 영이요 생명이라고 예수께서 친히 말씀하셨다(요 6:63). 다시 말해서 성령이 없는 사람은 아무리 많이 배운 사람이라할지라도 알 수 없다는 것이다. 마치 눈이 먼 사람은 아무리 꽃을 보고 설명해도 도무지 무슨 소리인지 알 수 없는 것과 같은 것이다. 그러므로 예수께서 밤에 찾아온 니고데모에게 첫 마디 하신 말씀이 “사람이 거듭나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라를 볼 수 없느니라…사람이 물과 성령으로 태어나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라에 들어갈 수 없느니라.”(요 3:3,5)는 말씀이었다.

       사도 바울은 이 신비로운 부활에 대하여 고린도교회 성도들에게 증거했다: “보라, 내가 너희에게 한 가지 신비를 말하노니 우리가 다 잠잘 것이 아니요 오히려 우리가 모두 변화될 것이니 마지막 나팔에 눈깜짝하는 순간에 그러하리라. 나팔 소리가 나면 죽은 자들이 썩지 아니하는 몸으로 일으켜지며 우리도 변화되리라. 그리하여 이 썩을 몸이 반드시 썩지 아니할 몸을 입고 이 죽을 몸이 반드시 죽지 아니할 몸을 입으리라. 이 썩을 몸이 썩지 아니할 몸을 입고 또 이 죽을 몸이 죽지 아니할 몸을 입게 되면 그때 ‘사망이 승리 속에 삼킨 바 되었느니라.’고 기록된 말씀이 이루어지리라.”(고전 15;51-54)

이 말씀을 증거한 사도 바울은 “그러므로 사랑하는 형제들아, 견고하라, 흔들리지 말라, 항상 주의 일을 넘치게 하라. 이는 너희의 수고가 주 안에서 헛되지 아니한 줄을 너희가 앎이니라.”(고전 15:58)고 권면했다.

       사도 요한은 아버지 집에 있는 많은 저택들이 우리들의 집이라고 증거했다: “나 요한은 거룩한 도성 새 예루살렘이 하나님께로부터 내려오는 것을 보았는데 마치 신부가 자기 남편을 위하여 단장한 것같이 예비되었더라….또 마지막 일곱 재앙을 가득 담은 일곱 호리병을 가진 일곱 천사 가운데 하나가 내게 와서 나와 대화하여 말하기를 ‘이리 오라, 내가 너에게 신부인 어린 양의 아내를 보여주리라.’하고, 그가 영 안에서 나를 이끌어 크고 높은 산으로 가서 큰 도성 거룩한 예루살렘이 하나님께로부터 하늘에서 내려가는 것을 내게 보여 주니, 하나님의 영광이 있어 그 도성의 광채가 가장 귀한 보석 같고, 벽옥 같으며, 수정같이 맑고 또 크고 높은 성벽도 있으며, 열두 대문이 있고 그 문에는 열두 천사의 이름들이 기록되어 있는데 그것은 이스라엘 자손의 열두 지파의 이름이더라…그 성곽은 벽옥으로 지어졌고 그 도성은 순금으로 맑은 유리 같고 그 도성의 성곽의 기초석은 각양 보석으로 단장되었으며 첫째 기초석은 벽옥이요, 둘째는 사파이어, 셋째는 옥수, 넷째는 에메랄드이며 다섯째는 홍마노, 여섯째는 홍보석, 일곱째는 감람석, 여덟째는 녹보석, 아홉째는 황옥, 열째는 녹옥수, 열한째는 제신스, 열두째는 자수정이더라. 또 그 열두 대문은 열두 진주니 그 문들은 각각 한 개의 진주로 되어 있더라. 그 도성의 거리는 순금이며 투명한 유리 같더라.”(계 21:9-12, 18-21)

         사도 요한, 사도 바울을 비롯하여 모든 제자들은 이 날을 바라보며 그들의 썩을 몸을 기쁨으로 순교의 제물로 드리면서도 기뻐하였던 것이다. 얼마나 확실한 약속인가? 그리고 우리의 집이 얼마나 아름다운가? 이땅에 있는 썩을 것들과 비교할 수 있겠는가? 어떤가? 이날을 바라보며 소망 가운데 기뻐하며 썩을 몸을 주님이 기뻐하시는  산 제물로 드리지 않겠는가? 믿음의 조상 아브라함은 사 천 년 전에 이 도성을 바라보았다고 성경은 말씀하신다 (히 11:10). 우리 모두가 이 한 소망 가운데 한 성령 안에서 온전히 하나 되기를 기원하는 것이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Main scripture: John 14:1-12

Subject: The promise of the bridegroom given to the bride

       The main passage is the word of Jesus unto his disciple spoke in the Passover chamber. Jesus confirmed his word saying, “If it were not so, I would have told you” (v2). This promise of Jesus is the first comment of the day of Christ that is called as “Rapture” when he is going to take his brides to heaven. His word spoken in the other scripture (Matt. 24:29, 30) is regarding the judgment at the end of the Great Tribulation when he comes to the earth again.

       This promise shall be seen before our eyes. This is the thing that is known to them that search the words of light in the scripture. As Apostle Paul spoke to the saints of Thessalonians, we are not in darkness, that day shall not overtake us as a thief (1Thes. 5:4, 5). Then, how the Lord Jesus could take his brides to heaven? Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption (1Cor. 15:50). The secular education makes men not to believe in the words of God. Therefore, they start to say “How?” when they hear the word of God so that they couldn’t believe His word. In other word, the education system of the world is giving the knowledge to make men think them to be as god; they always judge all things through their reason to decide whether they believe any word or not only looking for reasonable things. The word of God proclaims, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”(Jer. 17:9)

       The Holy Ghost teaches us how we say to the world of the resurrection without mortality and incorruption putting off flesh and blood:   ^“But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come? Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. “(1Cor. 15:35-44)

     What a mysterious word it is? Mystery means, it is totally impossible at all for anyone that has flesh and blood. Jesus said, “It is spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.”(John 6:63) In other word, they that have not the Spirit of God cannot understand the word of mystery, even though they are well educated, as the blind cannot understand what is flower for they are blind. Therefore, it was the first word of Jesus unto Nicodemus that visited him in the night: “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God…..Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”(John 3:3, 5)

       Apostle Paul testified of the mysterious resurrection unto the saints of Corinthians:  “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. “(1Cor. 15:51-54)

He continued to encourge them saying,   ^“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”(1Cor. 15:58)

       Apostle John testified of our houses that are many mansions in the house of the Father God:  ^“And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: …¹⁸And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.”(Rev. 21:9-12, 18-21)

        All the disciples including Apostle John and Apostle Paul rejoiced looking for the day of resurrection presenting their corruptible body as the offering of martyr. What a beautiful houses our houses are? How can we compare them to the corruptible things in the earth?  What about rejoicing in the hope of this day, and presenting our corruptible body as living sacrifice that are holy and acceptable unto God? Abraham, the father of faith looked for a city that is the New Jerusalem (Heb. 11:10).  I pray for all of you to be totally united in the same hope and the same Spirit. Amen! Hallelujah!
