금주의 묵상: 시편 44;1-26

본문: 로마서 8:26-39

제목: 하나님의 자녀들을 위한 영원한 보장

        사도 요한은 예수 그리스도의 이름을 믿어 영접한 사람들은 누구나 하나님의 아들들이 되는 권세를 주셨으며, 그들은 혈로나 육신의 뜻으로나 또한 사람의 뜻으로 나지 아니하였고 하나님에게서 난 사람들이라(요 1:12,13)고 증거했다. 다시 말해서 예수 그리스도를 구세주로 영접한 사람들은 예수 그리스도께서 흘리신 피를 믿음으로써 그분의 피가 이미 흘러들어와 양심을 깨끗하게 하였으며(히 9:14) 하나님의 피를 받음으로써 더 이상 죄 있는 아담의 피를 통한 육신의 출생으로부터 벗어나서 예수 그리스도의 피를 통하여 성령 안에서 하나님의 아들들로 태어난 것이다. 사도 바울은 이것에 대하여 성령 안에서 증거했다 : “예수 그리스도 안에 있는 생명의 성령의 법이 죄와 사망의 법에서 나를 해방시켰기 때문이라.”(롬 8:2)

     이렇게 예수 그리스도의 피를 믿음으로 받고 거듭난 하나님의 아들들은 더 이상 아담으로부터 물려받은 저주 안에 있지 않게 되는 것이다. 사도 바울은 이 사실을 증거했다: 그리스도께서 우리를 우리를 위하여 저주가 되셔서 율법의 저주로부터 우리를 구속하셨으니 기록되기를 ‘나무에 매달린 자는 누구든지 저주받은 자라.’고 하였도다. 이는 아브라함의 복이 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 이방인들에게 미치게 함이며 또 우리로 하여금 믿음으로 말미암아 성령의 약속을 받게 하려는 것이라.”(갈 3:13,14) 그러므로 이제부터 하나님의 자녀들은 더 이상 나그네도 타국인도 아니요, 오히려 성도들과 같은 시민이며 하나님의 가족이 된 것이다 (엡 2:19)

     오늘 본문 말씀을 통하여 사도 바울은 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 하나님께의 아들들이 된 우리들을 위하여 영원토록 보장하신 축복에 대하여 증거하고 있는 것이다:

      첫째로, 우리들에게 일어나는 모든 일들은 그 일들을 통하여 하나님께서 선을 이루신다는 것이다. 그러므로 모든 일에 감사하는 것이 우리 주 예수 그리스도 안에서 우리를 향한 하나님의 뜻이라고 사도 바울은 성도들에게 증거했다 (살전 5:18)

          또한 하나님께서 여러가지 일들을 우리들에게 일어나도록 허락하시는 이유에 대하여, 하나님께서 미리 아시고 그분의 자녀들로 부르신 모든 사람들은 그분께서 자신의 자녀들로 부르신 목적이 자기 아들, 즉 예수 그리스도의 형상과 일치하도록 만드시기 위해서라고 사도 바울은 말씀하고 있는 것이다. 그러므로, 미리 아신 자들을 부르시고 부르신 이들을 예수 그리스도의 피로 의롭게 하시고 또한 이들을 영화롭게 하셨다고 분명하게 증거하고 있는 것이다 롬 8:28-30). 다시 말해서 하나님의 자녀들을 부르신 목적은 독생자 예수 그리스도께서 이 세상에 성령으로 태어나신 첫 사람이 되신 것처럼 그리스도를 믿는 사람들에게 성령을 주셔서 하나님의 아들들로 다시 태어나게 하신다는 것이다.

     둘째로, 그러기에 자신의 독생자 아들을 아끼지 아니하시고  모든 사람들을 위하여 속죄제물로 내어주신 하나님께서 우리를 위하시기에 세상에 어느누구도 우리를 대적할 수 없는 영원한 보장을 주신 것이다. 그러므로 우리는 두려워말고 담대하게 믿음으로써 세상을 이기는 자들이 되어야 하는 것이다 (요일 5:4).

    셋째로,  하나님께서는 자기 아들을 아끼지 아니하시고 우리 모든 사람들을 위하여 내어주셨기 때문에 그 아들과 함께 모든 것을 우리들에게 값없이 주신다는 것이다. 이는 우리가 이미 하나님의 가족들이 되었기 때문이다. 그러나 우리가 분명히 알아야 할 것은 우리들을 그리스도의 형상과 같게 되도록 하시는 하나님의 계획 안에서인 것이다. 그러므로 이러한 하나님의 뜻을 알고 하나님의 뜻대로 무엇이든지 구하면 반드시 모든 것을 값없이 주시겠다는 영원한 보장인 것이다

     넷째로, 사람들은 우리들을 의롭게 여기지 아니할지라도 우리를 의롭다 하시는 분은 하나님이시다. 우리가 연약하여 율법을 지킬 수 없어 영원한 저주를 받아야 마땅함에도 불구하고 하나님께서는 자신의 아들이신 주 예수 그리스도를 죄 있는 육신의 몸으로 보내시어 그 육신에 죄를 선고하심으로써  우리들에게 율법의 의가 이루어지게 하셨다. 다시 말해서, 우리는 모든 율법을 어긴 자들이지만 예수님께서 우리들이 범한 모든 율법의 죄들을 위하여 죽으심으로써 우리들 자신의 의가 아니라 예수 그리스도를 통하여 하나님의 의가 우리 안에 이루어지게 하신 것이다 (롬 8:3-4). 다시 말해서, 우리들이 모든 율법을 지킨 자들처럼 의롭다고 인정하여 주신 것이다. 그러기에 어떤 사람도 우리들에게 혐의를 씌울 수 없는 것이다. 뿐만 아니라, 어떤 사람도 우리를 정죄할 수 없는 것이다. 죽었다가 다시 살아나신 분은 그리스도시기 때문이다.. 뿐만 아니라 지금도 하나님의 보좌 오른 편에서 우리들을 위하여 끊임없이 중보하고 계시기 때문이다.

     다섯째로, 죄와 사망의 법 안에서 두려움 가운데 살다가 생명의 법 안에 들어와서 이미 성령 안에서 영원한 생명을 받아 히나님의 보좌 오른 편에 예수 그리스도와 함께 앉아있는 (엡 2:5,6)우리들을 어느누가 예수 그리스도의 사랑에서 끊을 수 있겠는가? 환난이나 곤경이나 박해나 기근이나 헐벗음이나 위험이나 칼이라도 우리들을 그리스도의 피로 맺어진 하나님의 가족으로부터 떼어놓을 수 없는 것이다. 기록된 것처럼, 우리가 주를 위하여 온종일 죽임을 당하며 도살당할 양으로 여김을 받을지라도 아무도 우리들을 하나님으로부터 떼어놓을 수 없는 것이다. 그러기에 우리들은 죽음을 초월한 하나님의 사랑과 능력을 성령을 통하여 받았기에 옛날 유명한 정복자들보다도 더 나은 초자연적인 존재들이 된 것이다. 그러므로, 성령이 있는 자들은 누구나 사도 바울처럼 “내가 확신하노니 사망이나 생명이나, 천사들이나 정사들이나 권세들이나 현재의 일들이나 다가올 일들이나, 높음이나 깊음이나, 어떤 다른 피조물이라도 우리를 그리스도 예수 안에 잇는 하나님의 사랑에서 떼어놓을 수 없느니라.”(38,39절, 시 44:22)고 증거할 수 있는 것이다.

     그렇다! 주 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 우리들의 구원은 영원히 안전하게 보장되어 있는 것이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: psalms 44:1-26

Main scripture: Romans 8:26-39

Subject: Eternal security for the children of God

       Apostle John testified, but as many as received Jesus Christ by faith, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name; which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:12, 13) In other word, they that received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour already have their conscience purged through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ (Heb. 9:14); they are born as the children of God in the Holy Ghost through the blood of Jesus Christ, being delivered from the birth of the flesh in the blood of Adam. Apostle Paul testified of this: ^“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”(Rom. 8:2)

       The children of God that are born again through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ are not in the curses inherited from Adam anymore. Apostle Paul testified of this truth:  ^“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”(Gal. 3:13, 14)  Therefore, we are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God (Eph. 2:19)

       Apostle Paul testifies of the eternal security for us, the children of God that received Jesus Christ by faith in the main passage:

       Firstly, all things happening unto us shall be worked together good by God. Therefore, it is the will of God in the Lord Jesus Christ that we have to give thanks in everything, testified by Apostle Paul (1Thes. 5:18)

Regarding the reason why various things are allowed to happen for us by God, he also testified, God also predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son; and he for whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified (Rom. 8:28-30). In other word, the purpose that God called his children is for them to be born as the sons of God through the Holy Ghost as his Son might be the firstborn among many brethren.

       Secondly, God spared not his own Son to give the sin offering for all men; then, no one can lay anything to the charge of God’s elect. If God be for us, who can be against us? This is an eternal security for us. This is the reason why we fear not, but be bold to overcome the world by faith (1John 5:4)

       Thirdly, God shall give us all things freely with him, for he spared not his own Son for us, but delivered him up for us all; we have been the household of God. But one thing that is very important for to know is that we are in the plan of God that predestinated us to be conformed to the image of his Son. Knowing his plan for us, we shall be given all things freely with him when we ask in the will of God; this is another eternal security as well.

       Fourthly, even though people don’t justify us, it is God that justifies us.  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us,… (Rom. 8:3-4). In other word, we all have broken the law, but Jesus Christ died for our sins against the law; and the righteousness of God has been fulfilled in us through the Lord Jesus Christ. For the eyes of God, all the believers are perfect in his law. This is the reason why no one can lay anything to charge of the children of God that is God’s elect. And no one can condemn us; it is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again. Even now, Jesus Christ is making intercession for us at the right hand of God.

      Fifthly, we were living in fear under the law of sin and death; but now we are sitting at the right hand of God with Jesus Christ in the law of the law of life in the Holy Ghost (Eph. 2:5, 6). Then, who can separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Yea! No one can separate us from the household of God that has been made by the blood of Christ shed for us. As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the daylong; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter; even in such situation, no one can separate us from God at all. Now we are more than conquerors through him that love us and give power through the Holy Ghost; we are now the supernatural ones. Whosoever that have the Holy Ghost can  testify as Apostle Paul saying,   ^“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”(Rom. 8:38, 39, Ps 44:22)

     Yea! The salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ is secured forever in safety! Amen! Hallelujah!
