금주의 묵상: 시편 51:1-19

본문: 누가복음 24:36-53

제목: 그리스도의 죽으심과 부활, 회개와 죄사함과  세계선교

       부활하신 예수께서 제자들에게 나타나셨지만 제자들이 여전히 불안해 하며 의심하고 있을 때, 그의 손과 발을 보여주시면서 친히 생선 한 토막과 벌집을 드시면서까지 자신이 유령이 아니고 몸이 다시 사신 것을 확증하셨다. 또한 자신이 우리 죄들을 위하여 죽으시고  살아나실 것이 구약성경, 즉 모세의 율법과 선지서와 시편 전체에 기록된 주제임을 말씀하시면서 제자들로 하여금 이 복음을 전파할 것에 대하여 "그리스도가 고난을 당하는 것과 죽음 자들로부터 셋째 날에 살아나는 것이 기록되었으며, 또 그렇게 되어야 마땅하니라. 예루살렘에서 시작하여 모든 민족 가운데 그의 이름으로 회개와 죄사함이 선포되어야 하리라. 너희가 이런 일의 증인이니라."(46-48절)고 말씀하셨다.

       사도 바울도 이 그리스도의 복음에 대하여, "내가 그리스도의 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이는 이 복음이 믿는 모든 사람을 구원에 이르게 하는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라. 첫째는 유대인에게요, 또한 헬라인에게도니라."(롬 1:16)고 증거했으며, 또한 그리스도의 복음에 대하여 "이는 성경(구약)대로 그리스도께서 우리의 죄들로 인하여 죽으시고 장사되셨다가 성경(구약)대로 셋째 날에 다시 살아나셔서"(고전 15:3,4)라고 증거했다.

         사도 바울은 "그분께서 우리를 흑암의 권세로부터 구하여 내셔서 그분의 사랑하는 아들의 나라로 옮겨주셨으니 그 안에서 우리가 그의 보혈을 통하여 구속, 곧 죄들의 용서함을 받았느니라."(골 1:13,14)고 죄사함에 대하여 증거했다. 또한 예수께서도 친히 말씀하셨다: "진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 내 말을 듣고, 또 나를 보내신 분을 믿는 자는 영생을 얻고, 정죄에 이르지 아니할 것이며, 사망에서 생명으로 옮겨지느니라."(요 5:24)

       본문에서 주님께서 부활하신 후에 그리스도의 복음에 대하여 말씀하시고 제자들에게 모든 민족에게 이 복음을 전해야 할 것을 말씀하시면서 모든 민족 가운에 "회개와 죄사함"이 선포되어야 하리라고 말씀하셨는 바, 제자들이 그리스도의 죽으심과 부활하심을 증거할 때에 그리스도를 믿는 자들은 반드시 회개를 통해서 죄사함을 받고 영원한 생명을 얻어 그의 아들의 나라인 하나님의 왕국에 들어가야할 것(요 3:5)을 말씀하신 것이다.

       그렇다면, "회개"가 무엇인가? 다시 말해서 어떤 사람이 회개한 사람인가?  다시 말해서 어떤 사람이 죄사함 받은 사람인가? 우리는 성경을 통하여 확인하여야 할 것이다. 우선 먼저 침례인 요한이 침례받으러 요단강으로 나오는 바리새인들과 사두개인들에게 한 말 가운데서 참된 회개가 무엇인지 확인할 수 있을 것이다: "오 독사들의 세대야, 누가 너희에게 다가오는 진노에서 피하라고 경고하더냐? 그러므로 회개에 합당한 열매들을 맺고 '아브라함이 우리의 조상이라.'고 너희 속으로 말하려 생걱하지 말라. 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 하나님께서 이 돌들로도 아브라함의 자손이 되게 하실 수 있느니라."(마 3:7-9)

       다시말해서 회개가 없이 입술로만 믿음을 고백한다면 죄사함을 받을 수 없다는 말씀인 것이 아니겠는가? 주님께서는 회개함 없이 그에게 다가오는 유대인들에게 "이 백성이 입술로는 나를 공경하여도 그들의 마음은 내게서 멀도다. 사람들의 계명들을 교리들로 가르치니, 그들이 나를 헛되이 경배하는도다."(마 15:8,9)라고 말씀하시면서 회개가 없는 고백은 헛된 것임을 말씀하셨던 것이다. 오늘날 교회에 모여서 에배드리는 사람들에게 주님께서 어떤 말씀을 하시고 있는지 깊이 생각해 보아야 할 것이다. 우리들 각자 자신들에게 어떻게 말씀하시는지 심각하게 생각해 보아야 할 것이다. 과연 우리가 예수 그리스도를 믿는다고 그분을 영접하였을 때 어떤 회개를 하였으며 죄사함을 받아 사망에서 생명으로 옯겨졌는지, 또한 하나님의 아들의 나라로 이미 들어갔는지 점검해 보아야 할 것이다.

         예수님을 만나 회개하여 열매를 맺고 주님으로부터 죄사함을 받았다는 확인을 받은 사람들의 예들을 통하여 " 회개"는 합당한 열매를 맺는 것이라는 것을 다시 한 번 확인해야 할 것이다.

        사마리아 수칼에 살고 있던 한 여인은 자신이 음란한 죄인임을 깨닫고 자신을 구원하기 위하여 이 땅에 나타나실 그리스도를 기다리고 있었다. 그가 마침내 그를 찾아가신 그리스도를 만났을 때 "나는 남편이 없나이다."(요 4:17)라는 고백을 하였을 때 주님께서는 그녀의 죄들을 용서해 주셨으며 그때 그여인은 죄사함을 받고 생수같은 성령을 받아 즉시 마을로 들어가 모든 사람들을 그리스도께로 인도했던 것이다.

        여리고에 살고 있었던 세리이며 부자인 삭개오는 어떠했는가? 그가 주님을 보려고 뽕나무에 올라갔을 때 주님께서는 그의 집에 묵으시러 들어가셨고 삭개오는 즉시 회개하였으며 동시에 회개에 합당한 열매를 맺었다고 성경은 말씀하고 있다: "그 때 삭개오가 서서 주께 말씀드리기를 '보소서, 주여, 내 소유의 잘반을 가난한 사람들에게 나누어 주겠나이다. 그리고 내가 누구에게 부정한 방법으로 착취한 것이 있으면 네 배로 갚겠나이다."(눅 19:8) 그때 주님께서 그에게 "오늘 구원이 이 집에 이르렀으니, 그도 아브라함의 아들이기 때문이라. 인자각 온 것은 잃어버린 자를 찾고 또 구원하려는 것이라."눅 19:9,10)고 말씀하셨다.

       또한 예수께서 바리새인 시몬의 집에 식사하시러 들어가셨을 때, 그 성읍에 사는 죄인인 한 여인이 향유가 든 옥합을 가지고 와서 주의 뒤로 와 발 곁에 서서 울며 눈물로 주의 발을 씻기기 시작하여 자기 머리카락으로 닦아내고, 또 주의 발에 입맞추며, 향유를 부었다(눅 7:36-38) 이때에 주님께서 그 여인에게 말씀하셨다: "네 죄들이 용서되었노라…네 믿음이 너를 구원하였으니 평안히 가라."(눅 7:48,50)고 말씀하셨다.

       그외에 침례인 요한에게 나왔던 무리들과 병사들과 세리들은 모두 한 가지로 "우리가 어떻게 하여야 하리이까?" 라고 회개하면서 회개의 침례를 받았다(눅 10-14)

       그렇다! 이들 모두는 예수 그리스도를 구세주로 믿었기에 회개하면서 회개에 합당한 열매를 맺었으며 주님깨서는 이들에게 이들의 믿음을 진정한 믿음으로 인정하셨으며 죄들이 용서되었음을 친히 선포하신 것이다. 그렇다! "회개와 죄사함"을 통하여 구원받은 사람들만이 그리스도 안에 들어가서 새 피조물이 되는 것이며(고후 5:17)  변화되는 삶을 통하여 하나님의 왕국에서 해처럼 빛나는 삶을 살게 되는 것이다. 우리는 모든 민족에게 "회개와 죄사함"을 선포해야 하는 것이다. 이것이 선교인 것이다! 아멘! 할렐루야!

Main scripture: Luke 24:36-53

Subject: Death and Resurrection of Christ, and  Repentance and Remission of sins, and World Mission

       Jesus appeared to the disciples after his resurrection, but they were still troubled and doubted. Then Jesus took a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb to confirm that he is not a spirit but his body resurrected. He also testified of the all the Old Testament such as the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms were written of Christ that die for our sins, and rise again, and commended them to preach the gospel saying, "Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things."(Luke 24:46-48)

       Apostle Paul also testified of this gospel of Christ:

^"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."(Romans 1:16) And he testified of meaning of  the gospel of Christ: ^"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"(1Cor. 15:3,4)

         Apostle Paul testified of the remission of sins: ^"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:"(Col. 1:13,14) Jesus also said,  ^"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."(John 5:24)

       In the main passage, Jesus commended his disciple to preached the gospel of Christ saying, "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached  in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." He wanted all nations of people to enter into the kingdom of God by faith in Christ Jesus through repentance and remission of sins.

       Then, what is repentance? In other word, who is the one that makes repentance? And who is the one that receives the remission of sins? We'd better to examine it in the scriptures. Let us listen to John the Baptist that spoke unto Pharisees and Sadducees that came to the Jordan river to be baptized:  "O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham."(Matt. 3:7-9) 

         In other word,  no one can receive the remission of sins without repentance with faith only with confession with mouth. Jesus said unto the Jews that came to him without repentance: ^"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."(Matt. 15:8,9) He rebuked the confession without repentance in vain. We'd better think about how Jesus may speak unto the Christians in the churches for worship service. How he may speak unto us all seriously. We have to examine ourselves what kind of repentance we did when we  received Jesus Christ as the Lord and the Saviour by faith; and whether we passed from death unto life; and whether we were translated into the kingdom of God.

  We'd better review the people who received the remission of sins through bringing forth fruits meet for repentance:

 A woman living at Sychar in Samaria was waiting for Christ that shall come for her salvation understanding herself a miserable sinner. She finally met with Christ and confessed to Christ saying, "I have no husband"(John 4:17) Actually she confessed herself as a sinner before God. Jesus Christ forgave her sins and gave her remission of sins, and gave her the Spirit as living water. She ran into the city to preach the gospel of Christ to draw the people unto Jesus Christ.

       What about Zaccehaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and was rich? He climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Jesus; and Jesus happened to abide at his house. Then he repented his sins right away to bring forth fruits for repentance saying, "Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold."(Luke 19:8)  Then Jesus spoke to him, "This day is

salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.  For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."(Luke 19:9, 10)

       When Jesus went into the Pharisee's house to meat, a woman in the city, which was a sinner brought an alabaster box ointment, and she stood at the feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her hand, and kissed his feet (Luke 7:36-38). Then, Jesus said unto her,^"And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven….. And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace."(Luke 7:48,50)

        And people and publicans and soldiers came to John the Baptist, and all of them asked him "What shall we do?" They repented and were baptized.

       Yea! All these people repented and brought forth fruits for repentance because they believed on him their Saviour; and Jesus accepted  their faith sincerely, and Jesus proclaimed remission of sins for them. Yea! Only they that are saved through "Repentance and Remission of sins" are to enter into Christ to be new creatures(2Cor. 5:17). They shall shine the light as the Sun in the kingdom of God through the life of sanctification. We are supposed to preach "Repentance and Remission of sins" unto all nations; this is the world mission. Amen! hallelujah!
