금주의 묵상: 시편 17:1-15

본문: 시편 21:1-13

제목: 하나님께서 주시는 영원한 최상의 복

       본문에서 다윗왕은 성령 안에서 앞으로 나타나실 예수 그리스도에 대하여 예언하고 있다. 앞으로 자신의 죄를 위하여 피흘려 죽으심으로써 자신을 구원하실 메시야에 대하여 증거하고 있는 것이다. 그는 앞으로 나타나실 메시야이신 예수 그리스도로 인하여 기뻐하면서 크게 즐거워하고 있음을 노래하고 있는 것이다. 그는 주 여호와 하나님께 간구하고 있다. 이 간구는 물론 성령께서 말하게 하심을 따라 아버지께 드리는 간구인 것이다. 하나님께서는 항상 성령 안에서 기도하는 것들을 이루시는 하나님이시기 때문이다. "주께서 그(예수 그리스도)에게 마음의 소원(세상 죄를 제거하시기 위해 십자가에서 죽으시는)을 주셨으며 그의 입술의 요청을 물리치지 않으셨나이다. 이는 주께서 선한 복으로 그를 대하시며 그의 머리에 순금 면류관을 씌우심이니이다. 그가 주께 생명을 구하므로 주께서 그에게 주셨으니 곧 영원 무궁토록 긴 날들이니이다. 그의 영광은 주의 구원 안에서 위대하며 주께서 존귀와 위엄을 그에게 두셨으니 이는 주께서 그에게 최상의 복을 영원히 받게 하셨으며 주께서 주의 얼굴로 그를 심히 즐겁게 하셨음이니이다."(2-6절)

       .사도 바울은 예수 그리스도에 대하여 증거할 때에 "그분께서 미리 아신 자들을 자기 아들의 형상과 일치하게 하시려고 또한 에정하셨으니 이는 그를 많은 형제 가운데서 첫태생이  되게 하려 하려 하심이라."(롬 8:29)고 말함으로써 말씀이신 창조주 하나님께서 성령으로 잉태하셔서 사람으로 이 땅에 나타나신 목적은 회개하고 그분을 믿는 자들을 그분과 동일한 형상으로 만드시기 위함이라고 증거한 것이다. 다시 말해서 이 땅에 육신으로 나타나신 예수 그리스도는 모든 구원받은 사람들이 따라가야할 본보기가 되셨다는 것이다. 그러므로 사도 바울은 히브리인들에게 편지할 때, "그러므로 이처럼 구름 같은 증인들이 또한 우리를 둘러싸고 있으니, 우리 또한 모든 무거운 것과 쉽게 에워싸는 죄를 벗어 버리고, 인내로 우리 앞에 놓인 경주를 하자. 그리고 우리 믿음의 창시자요 완성자이신 예수를 바라보자. 그는 자기 앞에 놓인 즐거움을 위하여 십자가를 견디시고 수치를 개의치 아니하시더니 하나님의 보좌 오른편에 앉으셨느니라."(히 12:1,2)고 증거했다.

      그렇다! 다윗왕은 본문에서 성령께서 말하게 하심을 따라 "주(아버지 하나님)께서 그(주 예수 그리스도)에게 최상의 복을 영원히 받게 하셨으며 주께서 그의 얼굴로 그를 심히 즐겁게 하셨음이니이다."(6절)라고 기도했던 것이다. 다시 말해서 앞으로 이 땅에 나타날 그의 구세주이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 모든 사람들 가운데 최상의 복을 받으신 분이심을 미리 증거했으며 하나님께서는 모든 그리스도인들 역시 그분의 뒤를 따라감으로써 그분께서 받으신 최상의 복을 받기를 원하시는 것이다. 이같은 최상의 복을 받음으로써 그분의 신부들이 되기를 원하시는 것이다.

        다윗의 기도의 응답으로 하나님 아버지께서는 그분에게 최상의 복을 영원히 주셨으며 또한 주님처럼 자신을 부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고 주님을 따라가는 사람들에게 이 최상의 복을 주시기 원하시는 것이다. 사도 바울은 이에 대하여 빌립보교회 성도들에게 증거했다: "너희 안에 이 생각을 품으라. 곧 그리스도 예수 안에도 있는 생각이라. 그는 하나님의 형체로 계시므로 하나님과 동등하게 되는 것을 탈취라 생각지 아니하셨으나 오히려 자신의 영예를 버리고 종의 형체를 입으시어 사람의 모습을 취하셨느니라. 그리하여 사람과 같은 모양으로 나타나셔서 자신을 낮추시고 죽음에까지 순종하셨으니 십자가의 죽음에 까지라. 이로 인하여 하나님께서는 그를 지극히 높이시고 모든 이름 위에 있는 한 이름을 그에게 주사 하늘에 있는 것이나 땅 위에 있는 것이나 땅 아래 있는 것이나 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고 모든 혀가 예수 그리스도를 주라 시인하여 하나님 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨느니라."(빌 2:5-11)

       주님께서는 사람으로 나타나셔서 모든 사람들이 추구해야 할 영원한 최상의 복을 받으심으로써 모든 사람의 모범이 되신 것이다. 다시 말해서 이 땅에 있는 썩어질 것들을 통하여 받는 복은 잠깐 있다 썩어 없어질 안개같은 것들이기에 사탄이 만들어 놓은 신기루 같은 것이기 때문이다. 그러므로 하나님께서는 그의 자녀들이 육신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 생의 자랑의 미혹으로부터 벗어나서 영원한 것을 얻는 최상의 복을 받기를 원하시는 것이다. 이로 인하여 주님께서는 제자들에게 "썩는 음식을 위하여 일하지 말고 영생에 이르는 음식을 위하여 일하라. 인자가 너희에게 그것을 주리니, 이는 아버지 하나님께서 그를 인치셨기 때문이라."(요 6:27)고 말씀하셨다.

        본문에서 앞으로 나타나실 그리스도에 대한 기도를 성령 안에서 드린 다윗왕은 자신도 주님처럼 최상의 복을 영원히 받기 위한 삶을 살았던 것이다. 그는 자신의 삶을 이렇게 증거했다: "오 주여, 주의 손인 사람들과 이생에서 자기들의 몫을 받은 세상 사람들로부터 나의 혼을 구하소서. 주께서 주의 감추어진 보화로 그들의 배를 채우셨으니 그들은 자녀들로 가득하고 그들의 남은 재산을 자기들의 아기들에게 남겨주나이다. 나, 나는 의 가운데서 주의 얼굴을 보리니 내가 깨면 주의 모습으로 만족하리이다."(시 17:14,15)

        다윗이 죽어 오랜 후에 하나님께서는 선지자 에스겔을 통하여 다윗왕이 어떤 최상의 복을 받았는지 말씀하셨다: "내 종 다윗이 그들(이스라엘 백성) 위에 왕이 될 것이며 그들 모두에게 한 목자가 있으리라….그들은 내가 내 종 야곱에게 주어 너희 조상들이 살았던  그 땅에 거하리니 그들, 즉 그들과 그들의 자손과 그들 자손의 자손이 영원히 그 안에서 거하리라. 내 종 다윗은 영원히 그들의 통치자가 되리라."(겔 37:24,25).

        다윗처럼 영원한 최상의 복을 받기 위한 삶을 살았던 사도 바울도 최상의 복을 영원히 받을 사람들에 대하여 증거했다: "우리가 참으면 우리도 그와 함께 다스릴 것이요 우리가 그를 부인하면 그도 우리를 부인할 것이라…자녀이면 상속자들이니 하나님의 상속자들이요, 그리스도와 함께한 공동 상속자들이니 우리가 그와 함께 고난을 받은 것은 함께 영광도 받게 하려 함이니라. 이는 현재의 고난들이 우리에게 나타나게 될 영광에 감히 비교되지 못한다고 내가 여기기 때문이라."(딤후 2:12, 롬 8:17,18) 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 17:1-15

Subject: The best blessing forever given by God

         In the main passage, King David prophesies in the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ appearing in the future. He testifies of the Messiah that shall give salvation unto him through death on the cross shedding the blood. He is singing with great joy and pleasure because of the Messiah to come that is Jesus Christ. He is asking unto the LORD Jehovah God led by the Holy Ghost according to the utterance given by the Spirit. God always does his works according to the prayer in the Spirit: "Thou(Jesus Christ) hast given him his heart's desire(that he dies on the cross to take away the sin of the world), and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.  His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.  For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance."(Ps. 21:2-6)

       Apostle Paul testified of Jesus Christ saying,

" For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren"(Rom. 8:29)

The purpose that the Word, the Creator was manifested in flesh being born in the Spirit in the earth is to make the believers in him with repentance same image as Jesus Christ. In other word, Jesus Christ manifested in flesh became a sample for all the Christians. Therefore , Apostle Paul wrote an epistle saying, "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."(Heb. 12:1,2)

       Yea! King David made prayer according to the utterance given by the Spirit saying,  "For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance."(v6) In other word, he testified that the Messiah, Jesus Christ is the one that receives the best blessing among all men in the earth; and God wants all the Christians to follow him to receive the best blessing and to be his brides.

       God the Father gave David the best blessing eternally as the answer of his prayer; and he also wants to give the same blessing unto everyone that denies oneself and follow the Lord Jesus Christ taking up one's cross. Apostle Paul testified of this unto the Philippians: " Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."(Phil. 2:5-11)

       The Lord Jesus Christ became a man and received the best blessing forever to be a sample of all men. In other word, He wants everyone to receive  the best blessing eternally being delivered from the seduction as a mirage from the Devil such as the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life as fog that shall disappear sooner or later. Jesus Christ spoke unto his disciples of this saying, " Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed."(John 6:27)

       King David made a prayer of  Christ to come in the Spirit; and he also lived his life to receive the best blessing. He testified of his life: " From men which are thy hand, O Lord, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.  As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness."(Ps. 17:14,15)

       The LORD God spoke through prophet Ezekiel of King David what kind of the best blessing he received:

" And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: ….And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever."(Ez. 37:24,25)

       Apostle Paul also lived to receive the best blessing eternally as King David testified of them that shall receive the best blessing forever: " If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:…..  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us"(2Tim. 2:12, Rom. 8:17,18) Amen! Hallelujah!
