금주의 묵상: 시편 133:1-3

본문: 에베소서 2:11-22

제목 :하나님의 가족처럼 살고 있는가?

       한국 땅에 복음이 들어오지 않았다면 현재의 우리의 삶이 얼마나 비참하고 소망 없는삶이 되었을지 깊이 생각해 볼 필요가 있는 것이다. 수천년 동안 한국 땅에 태어났다가 허무하게 흙으로 돌아간 우리 육신의 조상들이 얼마나 많은가? 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 십자가에서 피흘리시고 모든 세상 죄를 제거하신(요 1:29) 후 이천 년 동안 태어났다가 사라져버린 우리 조상들 또한 얼마나 고통 속에서 살다가 호흡이 끊어져 흙으로 돌아가셨겠는가?

       오늘 본문을 통하여 사도 바울은 그들 모두가 육체로 무할례자라고 불린 이방인이었으며, 그때에 그들은 그리스도와 분리되어 있었고 이스라엘 나라에 속하지 않는 타국인이요, 약속의 언약들로부터는 생소한 사람이었으며 소망도 없고 세상에 하나님도 없었던 사람들이었으며 막연히 하늘님을 부르며 하늘님 맙소사 하면서 신음하면서 고통 속에서 사라져버린 아침 안개와 같이 살 수밖에 없었다고  말하고 있지 아니한가?

       오늘날  그리스도의 은혜의 복음이 온 세상에 전파되어 대부분의 사람들이 복음을 들었지만 아직도 깨닫지 못하고 어둠 속에서 살면서 지옥으로 가고 있는 인생들 또 얼마나 많은가? 뿐만 아니라 교회 안에 있는 사람들 가운데에도 화평이신 주 예수 그리스도의 피를 통하여 유대인과 이방인을 하나로 만드셨고 둘 사이에 가로막힌 중간의 벽을 허물어뜨리시고 원수 된 것, 곧 법령 안에 속한 계명들의 율법까지도 그의 육신 안에서 폐기하시고 그를 믿는 유대인과 이방인을 자기 안에서 한 새 사람으로 창조하셔서 한 성령 안에서 한 아버지께 나아갈 수 있는 길을 열어주신 사실을 모르고 구원받지 못한 사람 또한 얼마나 많은가?

       지금은 누구나 주 예수 그리스도를 믿어 그의 피로 양심이 깨끗하게 된(히 9:14) 사람들마다 더 이상 나그네도 타국인도 아니요, 오히려 성도인 이스라엘 백성들과 같은 하나님의 왕국의 시민이요 하나님의 가족이 되었으니 이 얼마나 큰 은혜인가? 천지를 창조하신 여호와 하나님이 우리 모두의 한 아버지가 되신 것이 아닌가? 이런 하나님의 뜻을 알리기 위하여 얼마나 많은 선지자들과 사도들이 고난을 받으며 죽어갔는지 깊이 생각해 보아야 할 것이다. 그러므로 사도 바울은 본문에서 에베소 교회 성도들에게 "너희는 사도즐과 선지자들의 기초 위에 세워졌으며 예수 그리스도께서 친히 모퉁잇돌이 되셨고 그분 안에서 건물 전체가 함께 알맞게 맞추어져 주 안에서 거룩한 성전으로 자라가며 또한 그분 안에서 너희도 성령을 통하여 하나님의 거처로 함께 지어져 가고 있는 것이니라."(엡 2:20-22)고 증거하고 있는 것이다.

       그렇다! 우리들이 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 모일 때나 비록 몸이 떨어져 있을 때에도 하나님 아버지께서는 예수 그리스도와 함께 성령 안에서 우리와 함께 거하시며 동행하시는 것이다. 조만간 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 우리가 거쳐하게 될 새 예루살렘으로 인도하시기 위하여 공중에 나타나실 때 우리들은 더 이상 떨어져 살지 않고 성 삼위 하나님과 영원히 함께 살게 될 것이다. 우리의 영원한 거쳐를 성령 안에서 미리 본 사도 요한은 "내가 보니, 성 안에는 성전이 없더라. 이는 전능하신 주 하나님과 그 어린 양이 그곳의 성전임이라. 그 도성은 해나 달이 그 안에서 비칠 필요가 없으니, 이는 하나님의 영광이 그곳을 비추고 어린 양이 그곳의 빛이 됨이라."(계 21:22,23)고 증거했다.

       감옥에 갇혀 있는 사도 바울은 하나님의 가족이 된 축복을 받은 에베소 교회 성도들에게 을 향하여 성령 안에서 간절하게 권면하고 있다:

    "너희가 부르심을 받은 그 부르심에 합당하게 행하되, 모든

겸손과 온유와 오래 참음과 사랑 가운데서 서로 용납하고 화평의 띠 안에서 성령의 하나됨을 지키도록 열심히 노력하라."(엡 4:1-3)

      "너희가 너희를 부르시는 한 소망 안으로 부르심을 받은 것처럼 한 분 성령이 게시니 한 분 주요, 한 믿음이며, 한 침례이고 한 분 하나님, 곧 모든 것의 아버지시니 그분은 모든 것 위에 계시며 모든 것을 통하여 너희 모두 안에 계시느니라."(엡 4:4-6)

       "그가 어떤 사람들은 사도로, 어떤 사람들은 선지자로, 어떤 사람들은 복음 전도자로, 어떤 사람들은 목사와 교사로 주셨으니 이는 성도들을 온전케 하며 섬기는 일을 하게 하고 그리스도의 몸을 세우게 하여 우리 모두가 믿음의 하나 됨과 하나님의 아들을 아는 지식의 하나 됨에 도달하게 하고 온전한 사람이 되어 그리스도의 충만하심의 장성한 분량에까지 이르게 하려 하심이라."(엡 4:11-13)        

      "진리가 예수 안에 있는 바와 같이 과연 너희가 그에게서 듣고 또 그에 의해 배웠을진대 이전 행실에 관해서는 기만의 욕망에 따라 썩어진 옛 사람을 벗어버리고 너희 생각의 영 안에서 새롭게 되어 하나님을 따라 의와 참된 거룩함 안에서 창조된 새 사람을 입으라. 그러므로 거짓을 버리고 각자 자기의 이웃과 더불어 진리를 말하라. 이는 우리가 서로 지체이기 때문이라. 화를 내되 죄는 짓지 말고 해가 지도록 분노를 품지 말며 마귀에게 틈을 주지 말라…너희 입에서는 어떠한 더러운 말도 나오지 아니하게 하고 오직 서로를 세우는 데 필요한 좋은 것만을 말하며 듣는 자들에게 은혜를 끼치게 하라."(엡 4:21-29)

           사도 바울은 하나님의 가족 된 사랑받는 성도들의 행위에 대하여 증거했다:

         "사랑받는 하나님의 자녀들로서 하나님을 따르는 자들이 되라. 그리스도께서 우리를 사랑하시어 우리를 위하여 자신을 하나님 앞에 향기로운 냄새를 내는 제물과 희생으로 드린 것같이 너희도 사랑 안에서 행하라. 음행과 온갖 더러운 것과 탐욕은 너희 가운데서 이름조차 부르지 말라. 이것이 성도들에게 합당하니라. 또 음탕함과 어리석은 말이나 농담은 합당치 아니하니 오히려 감사를 표하라."(엡 5: 1-4)

       또한 성령으로 충만해야 할 것을 권면하면서 성령 충만한 성도들의 내적 생활에 대하여서도 증거했다:

        "시와 찬송과 영적인 노래들로 너희에게 말하고 너희 마음으로 주께 노래하며 곡조를 만들고 항상 모든 일에 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 하나님, 곧 아버지께 감사를 드리며, 하나님을 두려워함으로서로 복종하라."(엡 5:19-21)

       성도들의 가정 생활에 대하여, 아내들은 남편에게 복종하기를 주께 하듯 해야 하며, 남편들 역시 자기 아내를 사랑하되 그리스도께서 교회를 사랑하셔서 교회를 위하여 자신을 주심같이 해야 하며 그 이유에 대하여 남편과 아내 관게가 그리스도와 교회와의 관계의 그림자임을 증거했다.

       자녀들 또한 부모에게 순종하고 공경해야 하며 부모들은 자녀들을 괴롭히지 말 것이며 종들과 주인들에게도 마땅히 행해야 할 것을  권면하면서 마지막으로 영적 전쟁에서 승리하기 위하여 하나님의 전신 갑옷을 입고 성령 안에서 기도하되 모든 성도들을 위하여 인내로 기도할 것을 권면하면서 그의 옥중 서신을 끝맺었다.

           사도 바울이 권면한 모든 말씀들은 성령 안에서 하나님께서 친히 주신 말씀이요 명령인 것이다. 우리는 이 땅에 사는 동안 교회 안에서 연합하여 앞으로 새 예루살렘에서 주님과 영원히 한 가족으로서 살기 위한 준비를 해야 하며 특별히 그리스도의 신부들로서 그분의 말씀에 절대 복종하는 경건의 연습을 해야 하는 것이다. 여호와 하나님이 우리의 아버지시며 우리 주 에수 그리스도는 우리의 남편이 되시며 성령께서는 우리를 주 예수 그리스도께 중매하신 엘리에셀 같은 분이시니 이 얼마나 큰 축복을 받는 자들인가? 하나님의 가족이 된 축복을 이 땅에서 부터 누리면서 주님의 오심을 소망하는 삶을 살지 않겠는가? 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 133:1-3

Main scripture: Ephesians 2:11-22

Subject: Are you living as in the household of God?

       If the gospel of Christ had not been preached in the land of Korea, how much miserable life should have been without hope unto us all. How many our forefathers had been born to return the dust in vain  for several thousand years? What about stopping a moment  to meditate of them deeply? And how many our ancestors have been taken away from the earth not knowing the Lord Jesus Christ for last two thousand years, even after he died on the cross shedding the blood to take away the sin of the world (John 1:29)?

       In the main passage, Apostle Paul testifies of them as called Gentiles in the flesh who are called Uncircumcision; they were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having not hope, and without God in the world. They just cried to call "Heaven" instead of God of heaven asking him not to judge them in screaming and suffering, and they had to disappear from the face of the earth as the fogs in the morning.

      How many people still not understand the gospel of Christ and living in the darkness on the way to the hell, even though they have heard the gospel? Even  many churchgoers not saved yet not understanding the Lord Jesus Christ who is their peace, and has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between the Jew and the Gentile; and also has abolished in the flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; and that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby.

       Now, whosoever believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and sanctify their conscience by the blood of Christ (Heb. 9:14) are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens in the kingdom of God with the saints Israel, and of household of God. What a amazing grace it is? Now the Creator, Jehovah God is our Father. How many prophets and apostles had to suffer unto death to preach the will of God? We have to think about their dedication deeply. Apostle Paul testified of this unto the saints of Ephesians: "And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."(Eph. 2:20-22)

       Yea! Whenever we are gather together in the name of Jesus Christ or physically away to one another, our Father God are always walking with us along with Jesus Christ in the Holy Ghost.

Sooner or later when our Lord Jesus Christ appears in the air to take us home that is the New Jerusalem where we are to dwell forever, we shall not be separated one to another anymore, but shall dwell with  God Trinity. Apostle John testified of our eternal dwelling place in the Spirit:

"And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."(Rev. 21:22,23)

       Apostle Paul, in the prison, encouraged the saints of Ephesians that received the blessing of the household of God  how to behave themselves:

   "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."(Eph. 4;1-3)

      "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."(Eph. 4:4-6)

         "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:"(Eph. 4:21-29)

       "If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil…..Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."(Eph. 4:21-29)

        Apostle Paul testified of the life style of the saints that are the household of God:

"Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks."(Eph. 5:1-4)

       Apostle Paul commanded them to be filled the Spirit, and encouraged them of their inner life of Spirit-filled with the Spirit:

    "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God."(Eph. 5:19-21)

       He also encouraged how to manage their married life of Spirit-filled believers illustrating Christ and church saying, Wives submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord, for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ as the church: he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it. Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. He also advised the servants and their masters how to behave themselves. Finally, he encouraged them to wear the whole armor of God to win the spiritual war fares, and pray always with all prayers and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance  and supplication for all saints.

        All the words testified by Apostle Paul are the word of God as well and commandments given unto us in the Spirit. We are supposed to be united in the church to be prepared to live with the Lord as the one family in eternity in the New Jerusalem.; and as the brides of Christ, we have to practice the godliness submitting ourselves his words. Jehovah God is our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ is our husband, and the Holy Ghost is our match maker unto Christ as Eliezer who was the servant of Abraham. What a blessed ones we are? What about living in the blessing in the household of God on the earth hoping the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ? Amen! Hallelujah!
