금주의 묵상: 시편 16:1-11

본문: 고린도전서 15:35-50

제목: 죽기 위하여 사는가? 살기 위하여 사는가?

        이 세상에는 많은 신(神)들이 있다. 신(神)이라 함은 사람들이 믿고 의지하는 존재인 것이다. 그렇다면 사람들이 그들의 신(神)들의 무엇을 믿고 사는가? 육신의 정욕을 채워주는 신(神)인가? 아니면 안목의 정욕을 만족시켜주는 신(神)인가? 아니면 이생의 명예를 얻어주는 신(神)인가? 그렇다, 이 세상 신(世上神)들이 주는 것은 썩을 육신이 살 동안 잠간 동안 무엇을 주는 신들인 것이다. 이로 인하여 세상에는 나라들마다  여러가지 종교들이 있는 것이다. 그러나 사람들이 이러한 신들로부터 유익을 얻는다 할지라도 그들이 살고 있는 세상도 정욕도 다 사라지는 것이다 (요일 2:17).

      그렇다면 우리가 사는 동안 믿어야 하는 신(神)은 어떤 존재인가? 잠간 동안 썩을 육신 안에 있는 동안 정욕과 물질과 명예만을 채워주는 신(神)이라면 진정한 신(神)이라 할 수 없을 것이다. 이 모든 것들은 세상과 함께 또한 자신의 죽음과 함께 소멸되어 어디로 가는 지도 모르기 때문이다. 그러나 우리가 믿어야 할 참된 신(神)이신 하나님은 엉뚱한 신(神)들을 믿는 사람들을 향하여 이렇게 말씀하신다: "한 번 죽는 것은 사람들에게 정해진 것이고 그 뒤에 심판이 정해진 것같이 그리스도께서 많은 사람의 죄들을 담당하시려고 한 번 드려지셨고, 두 번째는 자기를 바라는 자들을 구원에 이르게 하시려고 죄 없이 나타나시리라."(히 9:27,28)

      그렇다! 하나님께서는 대책 없이 다른 신(神)들을 쫓아가는 죄인들을 향하여 "너희들은 언젠가 한 번 죽게 되어 있는 존재들"이라고 선언하시는 것이다. 뿐만 아니라, "죽은 후에는 심판이 있다."라고 선포하신다. 그 이유에 대하여 다시 한 번 성경은 말씀하신다: "모든 사람이 죄를 지었으므로 하나님의 영광에 이르지 못하다가"(롬 3;23)라고 말씀하신다. 그리고 그 이유에 대하여 "죄의 삯은 사망이요, 하나님의 선물은 예수 그리스도 우리 주로 말미암은 영원한 생명이기 때문이라."(롬 6;23)고 말씀하신다.

      다시 말해서 참 하나님이신 주 예수 그리스도를 믿지 않고서는 어느누구도 하나님의 선물인 영원한 생명을 얻지 못한다는 것이다. 그러므로 우리 주 예수 그리스도만이 영원한 생명을 주심으로써 죄와 사망과 지옥의 권세로부터 우리를 구원하시는 구원주가 되시는 것이다. 이 사실을 믿지 못하겠다면 다른 어떤 신(神)을 믿으면 될 것이다. 그러나 평생을 찾아 헤매도 찾을 수는 없을 것이다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 본체의 형상이신 주 예수 그리스도께서 사람으로 나타나셔서 "나는 길이요 진리요 생명이라. 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 사람이 없느니라."(요 14:6)고 이미 선포하셨기 때문이라.

      많은 사람들이 주일마다 교회 예배에 출석하고 있으면서 하나님을 믿는다고 입술로는 고백하고 있지만 얼마나 많은 사람들이 진정으로 주 예수 그리스도만을 신뢰하고 살고 있는가? 어느누가 하나님을 본 자가 있는가? 보지도 못한 분을 어떻게 믿고 의지하면서 믿음으로 살 수 있는가? 오로지 한 길밖에 없는 것이다. 하나님께서 사람의 모습으로 이 세상에 나타나신 그분, 즉 예수 그리스도를 믿는 것이 곧 하나님을 믿는 것이다. 다시 말해서 그분의 말씀을 믿는 것이다. 이 사실을 알리시기 위해 예수께서 제자들에게 말씀하셨다: "너희는 마음에 근심하지 말라. 너희가 하나님을 믿으니 또한 나를 믿으라."(요 14:1)

       오늘 본문을 통하여 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 이 땅에 오신 성령 하나님께서 왜 예수 그리스도를 믿어야 하는 지에 대하여 말씀하시고 있다: "'첫 사람 아담은 살아있는 혼(魂)이 되었느니라(창 2:7).' 함과 같이 마지막 아담은 살려주는 영이 되었느니라."(고전 15:45) 다시 말해서 아담의 자손으로 태어난 모든 사람은 혼(魂)적 존재이며,  혼(魂)이 사람의 본체이고 이 사람의 혼(魂)은 죽을 수도 없고 영원히 살아야 하는 존재라는 것이다. 그러나 다른 피조물들에게는 혼이 없고 몸과 영만 있기 때문에 그들에게는 죽은 후에 심판이 따르지 않는 것이다. 이에 대하여 성경은 말씀하신다: 사람의 영은 위로 올라가고 짐승의 영은 땅 아래로 내려가는  것을 누가 알리요?"(전 3:21) 그러나 불행하게도 첫 사람 아담이 하나님께 범죄함으로 인하여 하나님께서 불어넣으신 생명의 호흡이 사라지면서 그때부터 사람의 육신은 늙어서 죽어가면서 그 안에 있는 살아있는 혼(魂)은 어디론가 가서 영원히 살아야 하는 운명에 처한 것이다.

      그러므로 본문에서 "마지막 아담은 살려주는 영(靈)이 되었느니라."고 하신 말씀은 마지막 아담이라는 분이 죽은 영을 살려주지 않고서는 어느누구도 그 혼이 하나님의 나라(왕국)에서 살 수 없음을 말씀하시는 바 그 마지막 아담이 죄인들의 죄들을 위해 피흘리시고 죽지 않으시면 어느누구도 사망의 법을 피할 수 없다는 것이다. 그러므로 하나님 자신이 죄없는 사람의 모습으로 나타나셔서 모든 죄인들의 죄들을 위하여 대신 죽으시는 길밖에 없게 되었던 것이다. 모든 사람들이 율법 아래에서 태어났기에 율법에 의하면 모든 것이 피로서 정결케 되기 때문에, 피흘림이 없이는 죄사함이 없는 것이다(히 9:22).

       이로 인하여 태초에 말씀으로 하나님과 함께 계셨고, 하나님과 성령님과 함께 천지를 창조하셨던 아들 하나님께서 사람으로 나타나셔야만 하셨던 것이다 (요 1:1-14)그래야만 살아있는 혼(魂)들이 그분을 믿어 모든 죄들이 용서받을 때에 영(靈)이 다시 살아나게 되어 아담의 자손이 아닌 하나님의 아들들이 되는 것이다. 그러므로 이 복음을 믿음으로써 마지막 아담으로 이 땅에 나타나신 예수 그리스도를 믿는 순간에 모든 죄들을 용서받고 살려주는 영(靈)이신 성령을 받아 육신이 죽어도 영원한 생명을 얻게 되는 것이다.

       그러므로 본문에서 사도 바울은 한 알의 밀알이 땅에 떨어져야 하며 땅 속에서 죽어야 하고 죽은 후에는 다시 싹이 나서 살아나야 하는 것처럼 사람도 한 일의 씨앗처럼 죽어서 땅 속에 묻혀야 하며 다시 살아나야 한다는 것이다, 그렇지 못하다면 만물의 영장인 사람이 한 알의 밀알만도 못하게 되는 수치를 얻게 된다는 것이다. 또한 한 일의 밀알이 심겨서 싹이 나서 자라서 밀이라는 식물이 되는 것처럼 사람도 육신이 죽어서 땅에 묻힌 후에 썩어서 다시 싹이 날 수 있어야 하며, 그때에는 더 이상 썩을 몸이 아니고 썩지 않을 몸으로, 더 이상 수치스런 몸이 아니고 영광스런 몸으로, 약함 몸이 아니고 능력잇는 몸으로, 육신의 몸이 아니고 영적인 몸으로 다시 살아나야 한다는 것이다.  이를 위해서는 살려주는 영이신 그분 예수 그리스도를 믿고 그분을 전심으로 마음에 구원주로 모셔들일 때 죽은 영(靈)이 살아나서 몸이 죽어도 다시 살아나게 되어 더 이 상 죽지 않는 몸으로 부활하게 된다는 아주 논리적인 복음을 전하고 있는 것이다.

        그러나 이러한 복음을 들어도 "죽은 자들이 어떻게 일으켜지며 또 어떤 몸으로 오는가?"라고 말하면서 자신들이 아주 유식한 것처럼 말하지만 하나님이 보실 때에 그들은 어리석은 사람들일 뿐이며 그들은 한 알의 밀보다도 못한 어리석은 존재임을 스스로 인정하는 셈이 된다고 사도 바울은 성령 안에서 증거하고 있는 것이다. 지금 교회에 나와서 예배드리며 사는 생활이 진정으로 행복한가? 또한 주 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 인하여 모든 죄들이 용서받았는가? 그리고 오늘이라도 호흡이 끊어져서 몸이 죽는다면 분명히 하늘나라에 가서 주 예수 그리스도를 만나서 영원히 살 확신이 있는가?

      이 세 가지 질문에 모두 "예' 할 수 있다면 주님의 말씀처럼 "나는 부활이요, 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살 것이며 또 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 누구나 영원히 죽지 아니하리라. 네가 이것을 믿느냐?"(요 11:25,26)는 말씀을 믿고 아멘 할 수 있을 것이다. 그러나 이 세가지 질문에 아멘 할 수 없다면 오늘 돌이켜 다른 신(神)을 섬기지 말고 회심하여 오직 우리의 영(靈)을 죽은자들부터 살려서 혼을 구하실 수 있는 진정한 구원주이신 주  예수 그리스도를 전심으로 믿어 구원받아야 하는 것이다. 주님께서는 "이 백성이 입으로는 나에게 다가오고, 또 입술로는 나를 공경하여도 그들의 마음은 내게서 멀도다."(마 15:8)라고 말씀하셨다. 입술로만 예수 그리스도를 주라 시인하면서 삶 속에서 다른 신들을 섬기고 있지는 않은지 깊이 묵상해야 할 것이다. 그 다른 신들이 돈이든지, 정욕이든지, 명예든지, 자존심이든지, 자신이 배운 지식에 근거한 신념이든지, 어떤 유명한 사람이든지 할 것없이 주 예수 그리스도 외에 어떤 무언가가 나를 구원해 줄 수 있다고 믿는 모든 신들을 버리고 회개해야만 모든 죄들을 용서받을 수 있는 것이다. 그러므로 여호와 하나님께서는 유대인들에게 "너는 내 앞에 다른 신들을 있게 말지니라."(출 20:3)고 명령하신 것이다. 이 세상에는 많은 다른 신들이 있는 바빌론 같은 곳이 되어버렸다. 정신을 차리지 않으면 자신도 모르게 다른 신들을 섬기면서 입술로만 하나님을 부르게 되는 것이다. 속지 말자! 진정한 신(神)은 죄인들을 죄와 사망과 저주와 지옥으로부터 구원해 줄 수 있는 하나님이신 주 예수 그리스도밖에는 아무도 없는 것이다.

       지금 죽음같은 고난 속에 처해 있는가? 바로 이때가 죽음으로부터 구원하시는 주님을 만나는 축복의 기회가 되는 것이다. 다니엘과 사드락, 메삭 그리고 아벳느고를 보라! 그들이 하나님께 기도했다는 이유로, 그리고 우상에게 절하지 않음으로 인해 사자굴과 용광로 속으로 던져졌을 때 그 가운데서 하나님을 만나지 않았던가? (단 3:23-25; 7:22,23) 주님을 현 세상에서 만나기 원한다면 믿음으로 감사하며 고난 속으로 들어가 보라! 그 안에서 주님을 만나게 될 것이며 구원주이신 주 예수 그리스도가 참 하나님이심을 알게 될 것이다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 16;1-11

Subject: Are you living to die or to live?

      There are many gods in the world. God is the one that men believe and trust. Then where they put their faith in their god? Is it for their lust of the flesh? Or for the lust of the eyes? or the pride of the world? It may be right. The only thing that their god could give them must be something that could last until they die. This is the reason why there are many different religions in different countries in the world.  But unfortunately, all these lust of the world shall pass away with world (1John 2:17)

       Then, who is the real God that we have to trust in this world? The god that satisfies the lust of the corruptible flesh or the pride of the life cannot be the true god.  All these things shall pass away with the world as well as their death. Our true God speaks unto them that trust false gods: "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."(Heb. 9:27,28)

       Yea! God declares unto the sinners that follow false gods saying, "You shall die sooner or later." "You shall stand before the judgment seat."   The word of God declare again for that reason saying, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"(Rom. 3:23) "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."(Rom. 6:23)

       In other word, no one can receive the life eternal, unless they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the true God. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can be true Savior that could deliver us sin and death and the power of the hell through the eternal life given by him. If you don't want to believe on him, you only have to choose any other god. But it shall be in vain however you try to find out any other true god all for your life; it is because that the Lord Jesus Christ that is the image of God already appeared in the earth and declared saying, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."(John 14:6)

       Many people come to church on Sunday to worship God and confess their faith in God with their mouth. How many of them trust only in the Lord Jesus Christ sincerely? Is there anyone that saw God? How they could trust in the invisible God? There shall be the only one way for it. It is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ that God became a man and appeared in the earth. In other word, it is to believe on his words. Jesus said unto his disciple: "ye believe in God, believe also in me."(John 14:1)

       In the main passage, the Holy Ghost that came to the world in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ speaks unto us through Apostle Paul of the reason why we have to believe on him: "The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit."(1Cor. 15:45) In other word, all men that are born in Adam are created as souls that are their selves, and their souls are living ones that cannot die forever. But other creatures don't have souls but only body and spirit.  This is the reason why they shall not be judged after death. The word of God testifies of this: "Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?"(Eccl. 3:21) But unfortunately, the breath of life was taken away from man because of the sin of Adam; and their body is getting old unto death, and their soul is destined to live forever somewhere they don't know.

       Therefore, the word, "The last Adam was made a quickening spirit." means that no one can live in the kingdom of God unless the last Adam revive their dead spirit. No one can avoid the law of sin and death unless the last Adam dies for the sinners shedding his blood. Therefore, It is only way that God had o manifest as a man without sin to die for the sins of the sinners to revive them, because all men are born under the law; and no remission of sin without shedding of blood Heb. 9:22)

       This is the reason why the only Begotten Son of God that was as the Word with God and created heaven and earth with Holy Ghost had to manifest in flesh (1Tim. 3:16, John 1:1-14) When the living souls believe on him, and receive the remission of sins, their spirit shall be revived to be the children of God. When they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ that appeared as the last Adam in the earth, all their sins are forgiven to receive the eternal life through the Holy Ghost that is the quickening spirit.

       In the main passage, Apostle Paul testifies that bare grain should be sown in the ground, and has to die, and sprout out again; and in the same way, man has to die to be buried in the ground, and has to live again as the bare grain. If man cannot live again after burial, it shall be the shame as the head of all the creatures to be inferior to bare grain. And as a bare grain becomes the plant of wheat when it sprout again, man's body should be raised in incorruption instead of in corruption; in honor instead of dishonor; in power instead of weakness; in spiritual body instead of natural body.  The resurrection of body is only possible through believing on the Lord Jesus Christ  as the Savior in all the heart; what a logical gospel it is.

       Bit even upon hearing the gospel, someone say as if they are so intellectual,  "How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?"  But they are so foolish ones to the eyes of God, because they recognize themselves inferior to a bare grain. Are you really happy? All your sins are forgiven? Are you sure to go heaven to see the Lord Jesus Christ, if you die tonight giving up breath?

       If you can say yes for these three questions, you could say Amen upon hearing the word of the Lord Jesus Christ, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"(John 11:25,26) If you cannot say yes answering these three questions, you'd better repent to believe the Lord Jesus Christ giving up other false gods in all your heart, because only the Lord Jesus Christ can your soul through quickening your spirit. Jesus sais to the Jews, "This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me."(Matt. 15:8) Today we'd better meditate deeply in our heart whether we are serving other false gods even though we confess Jesus Christ as the Lord with our mouth. The other false gods could be money, lust of the flesh, reputation, pride, self confidence based on the knowledge from school, or famous men and so on. We have to forsake all other gods that we thinks them as the savior of our life, and repent to receive remission of sins. The Jehovah God spoke the people of Israel, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."(Ex. 20:3) This current world is as Babylon where many gods existed. Unless we are awaken, we also are to serve other gods even though we call the name of the Lord with mouth. Let us not be deceived? The only true God is the Lord Jesus Christ that could deliver sinners from sin and death and curses and the hell.

       Are you passing through deadly affliction? This is the very time when you are blessed to meet with the Lord, and delivered form that by the Lord Jesus Christ. Behold Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego! They met with the Lord God in the den of lion, and in the furnace because they prayed to God and not worshipped the idol (Dan. 3:23-25;7:22-23).  If you want to see the Lord during your life in this world,  jump into the suffering giving thanksgiving! You shall meet the Lord in the midst of it; and you shall know the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savor as the true God. Amen Hallelujah!
