금주의 묵상: 시편 51:1-19

본문: 고린도전서 2:1-16

제목: 어떤 생각을 가지고 살아가고 있는가?

     모든 사람들은 자신의 생각을 가지고 판단하며 자기 나름대로 인생관을 가지고 살아가고 있다. 그런데 사람의 생각은 사람의 마음 속에 들어있는 어떤 사상이나 주관이나 신념이라고 말할 수 있는 것이다. 사람의 마음 속에 세상에서 배운 어떤 지식이나 사상이나 기타 어떤 외부로부터의 영향력이 들어와서 사람마다 어떤 생각들을 가지고 살아가는 것이다.

     이런 사람들의 생각에 대하여 하나님께서는 옛 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 미리 말씀하셨다:  "주를 신뢰하고 그의 소망을 주께 두는 사람은 복이 있도다…마음은 만물보다 거짓되고 심히 악하니 그것을 알 수 있으리요? 나 주는 마음을 살피고 나는 속을 시험하여 그 사람의 결과대로 각 사람에게 주노라."(렘 17:7,9,10)

       선지자를 통하여 미리 말씀하셨던 하나님께서 육신을 입고 세상에 나타나셔서 다시 한 번 말씀하셨다:

"사람에게서 나오는 것이 그 사람을 더럽히느니라. 이는 속에서, 즉 사람들의 마음에서 나오는 것은 악한 생각과 간음과 음행과 살인과 도둑질과 탐욕과 악의와 사기와 방탕과 악한 눈과 하나님을 모독함과 교만과 어리석음이기 때문이니, 이런 모든 악한 것은 속에서 나와, 그 사람을 더럽히느니라."(막 7:21-23)

      예수께서 세상을 떠나시기 전 마지막 기도를 통해서 사람들의 마음이 거룩해지는 비결에 대하여 말씀하셨다:

"아버지의 진리로 그들을 거룩하게 하여 주옵소서, 아버지의 말씀은 진리니이다."(요 17:17)

     다시 말해서 유일하게 거룩한 것은 진리이신 하나님의 말씀이며 사람의 마음 속에 하나님께서 보시기에 더럽과 악한 생각들은 거룩하신 하나님의 생각으로 씻겨져야 한다는 것이다. 그러면 하나님의 생각은 무엇인가? 바로 하나님의 말씀인 성경 안에 있는 것이다. 인류 역사상 사람들은 자신의 마음 안에 들어있는 생각들을 전하기 위하여 각자 나름대로 책도 써왔으며 지금도 계속되고 있기에 서점마다 책들이 산더미처럼 쌓여있는 것을 본다. 일반 서점뿐만 아니라 기독교 서점들도 예외가 아니 것이다. 최근에는 한국에서 안 모씨가 자신의 생각이라는 책을 써서 수많은 사람들이 그 사람의 생각이 어떤지 알도록 했으며 그 생각을 알고 자신을 대통령에 뽑아달라고 호소하는 일도 있었다.

       오늘 본문 말씀을 통하여 사도 바울은 자신이 설교말씀을 전할 때 설득력 있는 인간의 지혜의 말로 아니하고 성령과 능력을 나타냄으로 하였으며, 그 이유에 대하여 사람들이 인간인 자신의 지혜가 아닌 하나님의 생각이 들어있는 지혜의 말씀을 깨닫고 하나님을 믿게 하려 함이라고 말했다. 다시 말해서 인간의 지혜로는 어떤 누구도 하나님을 믿게 할 수 없기에 다만 어떤 사람의 사상을 따라감으로 인해 하나님이 아닌 사람을 믿어 추종하지 않도록 하기 위함이라고 말하고 있는 것이다.

       그는 계속해서, 세상에서 배운 것으로부터 오는 지혜는 세상의 지혜이며, 세상 통치자들이 자신을 따르도록 하기 위하여 부르짖는 말 속에 들어 있는 생각은 통치자들의 지혜이며, 그들이 죽게되면 무로 돌아갈 것이라고 증거하고 있는 것이다.  마침내 그는 하나님의 지혜에 대하여 증거하면서, 하나님의 지혜는 세상이 시작되기 전에 우리의 영광을 위하여 미리 정하신 감추어진 지혜라고 증거하고 있다. 또한 하나님의 생각이 들어있는 하나님의 지혜에 대하여 이 천 칠 백 여년 전에 선지자 이사야를 통하여 미리 말씀하신 것을 인용하면서, "'그러나 기록된 바와 같으니 '하나님께서 자기를 사랑하는 자들을 위하여 예비하신 것들은 눈으로 보지도 못하였고 귀로 듣지도 못하였으며 인간의 마음 속에 들어온 적도 없었느니라….그러나 하나님께서 이것들을 우리에게 그의 영으로 나타내셨으니 이는 성령께서 모든 것, 심지어 하나님의 깊은 것들까지도 통찰하시기 때문이라.'"(고전 2:9,10)고 증거하고 있다.

       그렇다면 하나님께서 우리를 위하여 예비하신 것이 무엇인가? 다기 말해서 하나님의 자녀들을 위하여 성경에 감추어 놓으신 어떤 지혜가 있다는 것인가? 이것에 대해 선지자 이사야가 미리 증거했다:

"오 원컨대 주께서 하늘들을 가르고 내려오시며, 산들도 주의 면전에서 흘러내리기를 용해하는 불같이 타서 그 불이 물을 끓게 하는 것같이 되게 하시며, 주의 이름을 주의 대적들에게 알게 하셔서 민족들로 주의 면전에서 떨게 하소서! 주께서 내려오셔서 우리가 바라지 않았던 두려운 일을 행하셨을 때, 산들이 주의 면전에서 흘러내렸나이다. 이는 세상이 시작된 이래로 사람들이 들은 적도 없고, 귀로 깨닫지도 못하였으며, 눈으로 보지도 못하였음이니 오 하나님이여, 주 외에는 주께서 주를 기다리는 자를 위하여 예비하신 것을 아는 자가 없나이다. 주께서 기뻐하며 의를 행하는 자와 주의 길에서 주를 기억하는 자들을 만나셨으니, 보소서, 우리가 죄를 지었으므로 주께서 진노하셨나이다. 그들 가운데 지속함이 있으니 우리가 구원을 받으리이다. 그러나 우리는 다 불결한 것같고, 우리의 모든 의는 더러운 걸레같으며, 또 우리는 다 잎사귀처럼 시들며 우리의 죄악들은 바람처럼 우리를 옮겼나이다."(사 64:1-6)

      그러면 어떻게 하나님 안에 있는 지혜, 즉 하나님의 생각을 깨달을 수 있겠는가? 사도 바울은 본문에서 아주 쉽게 증거하고 있다: "사람의 일을 그 사람 안에 있는 사람의 영이 아니면 누가 알리요? 이와같이 하나님의 일도 하나님의 영이 아니면 아무도 모르니니라. 우리가 세상의 영을 받지 아니하고 오직 하나님께로부터 온 영을 받았으니 이는 우리로 하나님께서 우리에게 값었이(freely) 주신 것들을 알게 하려 하심이라. 또한 우리가 그것들을 말하되 인간의 지혜가 가르치는 말로 하지 아니하고 성령께서 가르치시는 말로 하나니 영적인 일들을 영적으로 비교하여 말하느니라."(고전 2:11-13)

       이 세상에 태어나는 모든 사람들은 하나님께서 보시기에 "자연인" 즉 생물학적이 사람이다. 그가 모태로부터 죄 가운데 잉태된 것을 깨닫고 하나님 앞에 나와서 자신의 모든 죄들을 이 천 년 전에 모두 용서하셔서 제거하신 주 예수 그리스도를 믿어 하나님의 영을 받기 까지는 인간의 지혜로 하나님의 영의 일들, 다시 말해서 하나님의 말씀을 깨달을 수 없는 것이다. 모든 하나님의 말씀들은 성령께서 사람들을 통하여 기록하신 영적인 말씀이기 때문이다. 예수께서도 이에 대하여 유대인들에게 미리 말씀하셨다: "살리는 것은 영이니 육은 전혀 무익하니라. 내가 너희에게 한 말들은 영이요 생명이라."(요 6:63)

      사도 바울은 고린도교회 성도들에게 자신이 편지를 보낸 이유에 대하여  결론을 내리고 있다: "영적인 사람은 모든 것들을 판단하나 자신은 아무에게도 판단을 받지 아니하느니라. 누가 주의 생각을 알았다고 주를 가르치겟느냐? 그러나 우리는 그리스도의 생각을 가졌느니라."(고전 2:15,16)

사도 바울은 그리스도의 생각을 가진자가 영적인 사람이며 어떤 사람에게도 판단을 받지 않고 하나님만이 판단하실 수 있다고 증거하고 있는 것이다. 그렇다면 그리스도의 생각을 가진 자가 누구인가? 그리스도의 생각을 어떻게 알 수 있는가? 우리가 가지고 있는 성경 66권 속에 들어 있지 아니한가? 성경을 창세기부터 요한계시록까지 모두 깨달아야  온전한 하나님의 생각을 가진 영적인 사람이 되지 않겠는가? 부분적으로만 알면 하나님의 생각을 부분적으로밖에 알 수 없는 것이다. 그러므로 우리는 교회 안에서 하나님의 말씀이 아닌 인간의 지혜에 의한 생각으로 아무도 판단하면 안되는 것이다. 잘못하면 사람이 아닌 하나님을 판단하는 죄를 짓게 되는 것이다. 모르면 잠잠하는 것이 지혜로운 일이 될 것이다. 특별히 성령께서 주시는 은사들은 성도들을 섬기며 온전케 하는 일을 하게 하고 그리스도의 몸을 세우시기 위하여 주시는 것이다(엡 4:12). 우리는 다른 지쳬들이 받은 은사들을 존중하여 그 은사들을 통하여 그리스도의 몸을 섬길 수 있도록 기도하며 존중해야 하는 것이다. 자신의 생각으로 성령께서 주신 은사를 함부로 판단한다면 성령님을 판단하는 죄를 짓게 되는 것이다. 자신이 모르기 때문에 잘못되었다는 생각은 잘못을 저지를 수 있기 때문이다. 그러므로 교회 안에 목회자를 비롯하여 지도자들을 두고 그들로 하여금 모든 일을 판단하게 하시는 것이다. 아멘 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 51:1-19

Main scripture: 1Corinthians 2:1-16

Subject: What kind of mind leads your life?

    Almost all people are leading their life judging with their own mind to build their life style. Their mind usually is some kind of thoughts or point of view for life or self confidence and so on in their heart. Such kind of things are settling down in their heart being affected by environment.

       The LORD God spoke of such mind of man through the old  time prophet Jeremiah:  "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. ….. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings."(Jer. 17:7,9,10)

       God manifested in flesh spoke of it again: "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man."(Mark 7:21-23)

       Jesus Christ, before he left the world testified of the way to sanctify the heart of man in his final prayer: "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."(John 17:17)

       In other word, only one that is holy is the word of God that is truth; and all kinds of defiled wickedness in the heart of man should be cleansed by the word of God that is holy mind. Then, what is the mind of God? His mind is written in the word of God that is the Bible. In the human history, many people had written books to deliver their mind to the world; and we find the mountains of books in book stores. Christians book stores are not exception at all. Recently in Korea, a politician named as Mr. An wrote a book  titled as "The mind of An" to appeal people expecting voters to choose him as the president.

       In the main passage, Apostle Paul spoke to the saints of Corinthians saying, my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. In other word, the wisdom of men cannot give understanding so that they may believe on God: and he was fearing men to follow his thoughts instead of God.

       He continued to testify saying, the wisdom from the teaching from the world is the wisdom of the world; and the mind in the speech in politicians is the wisdom of the princes of the world. Their wisdom shall be passing away when they die. Finally, he testified of the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world  unto our glory.

       And regarding the wisdom of God in which the mind of God abide, Prophet Isaiah foretold two thousand and seven hundred years ago: "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God."(1Cor. 2:9,10)

       Then what is the thing that has been prepared for us? In other word, what kind of wisdom that has been hidden in the scriptures is for the children of God? Prophet Isaiah prophesied of this:

"Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence. For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."(Isa. 64:1-6)

       Then how can we understand the wisdom in God that is the mind of God? Apostle Paul testified of this very clearly in the main passage: "For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."(1Cor. 2:11-13)

      All men born in the world are biological men in the view of God. Unless they understand themselves conceived in sin in their mothers' womb, and come forward to God to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that forgave their sins and took away them all two thousand years ago to receive the Spirit of God, no one can understand the word of God, because all the words of God have been written by the Holy Ghost using spiritual men. Jesus spoke about this to the Jew in advance: "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."(John 6:63)

       Apostle Paul concludes the reason why he sent his letter to the church of Corinthians saying, "But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."(1Cor. 2:15,16)

       Apostle Paul testified that only they that have the mind of Christ are spiritual men; and they are not judged by anyone but by only God. Then who is the one that has the mind of Christ? And how can we know the mind of Christ? In the 66 books of scriptures is the mind of Christ. It is only way to be perfect spiritual man for him to understand Genesis through Revelation. If we understand the word of God partially, we are to know the mind of God partially. This is the reason why we cannot judge anyone by the wisdom of man, but the word of God. If we judge others in the church by the wisdom of man, he shall be resulted in judging God.  We'd better be silent, if we don't know; this is the wise way to be. For instance, the gifts of the Spirit are given to the church for perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Eph. 4:12). We have to honor the gifts of the Spirit that are given other members. If we judge the gifts given to other members, we are committing sin against the Holy Ghost. Judgment made in ignorance shall be resulted in wrongfulness; this is the reason why God appoint pastors as well as leaders for ruling the church instead of Christ. for them judge all things in the church of God. Amen! Hallelujah!
