금주의 묵상: 시편 119:1-16

본문: 에베소서 5:21-33

제목:  자신의 교회를 영광스럽게 나타내시기를 원하시는 하나님

      사도 바울은 그리스도와 하나님의 교회를 남편과 아내의 관계로 증거하고 있다. 또한 이것이 위대한 신비라고 말씀하고 있는 것이다. 아내들이 남편에게 복종해야 하며, 또한 남편들은 아내를 사랑하되 그리스도께서 교회를 사랑하셔서 교회를 위하여 자신을 자신의 몸을 주신 것같이 사랑해야 함을 말씀하고 있는 것이다. 눈에 보이는 아내를 사랑하지 못하면서 하나님을 사랑한다고 외친다면 하나님꼐서 무엇이라고 말씀하실까?  또한 보이는 남편에게 복종하지도 못하면서 보이지 않는 주님께 복종하겠다고 기도한다면 주님께서 어떤 말씀을 하실까?

      예수 그리스도께서는 우리같은 죄인들을 구원하셔서 영원한 생명을 주시기 위하여 아담처럼 사흘밤 사흘낮 동안 죽음을 맛보시기까지 하셨다: "주 하나님께서 아담을 깊은 잠에 빠지게 하시니 그가 잠드니라. 하나님께서 그의 갈비뼈 중에서 하나를 취하시고 살로 대신 거기를 채우시더라. 주 하나님께서 남자에게서 취했던 갈비뼈로 여자를 지으셔서 그녀를 그 남자에게 데려오시니 아담이 말하기를 '이는 내 뼈들 중의 뼈요, 내 살 중의 살이니, 그녀를 여자라 부르리라. 이는 그녀가 남자에게서 취해졌음이라.' 하니라. 그러므로 남자가 자기 아버지와 어머니를 떠나서 자기 아내와 결합하리니, 그들이 한 몸이 될 것임이니라." (창 2:21-24). 이에 대하여 사도 바울은 고린도 교회 성도들에게 "'첫 사람 아담은 살아있는 혼이 되었느니라.' 함과 같이 마지막 아담(예수 그리스도)은 살려주는 영이 되었느니라."(고전 15:45)고 증거했으며 또한 "하나님께서 죄를 알지도 못하는 그를 우리를 위하여 죄로 삼으신 것은 우리로 하여금 그 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이라."(고후 5:21)고 증거했다.

       그러므로 예수 그리스도께서 성경대로 자신의 죄들을 위하여 죽으시고 장사되셨다가 성경대로 셋째 날에 살아나신 그리스도의 은혜의 복음(고전 15:1-4)을 믿는 자마다 영적으로 마지막 아담이시며 살아계신 하나님이신 예수 그리스도의 뼈들 중의 뼈가 되며 살 중의 살이 되어 그리스도의 아내가 되는 것이다. 하나님께서는 이 세상에 결혼이라는 제도를 마련하셔서 남편과 아내의 관계를 통하여 그리스도와 그리스도의 신부와의 신비로운 관계 대하여 미리 계시하신것이다.

       주님께서는 거듭나지 않았던 바리새인 니고데모에게 "내가 땅의 일들을 말하여도 너희가 믿지 아니하는데 하물며 하늘의 일들을 말한다면 어떻게 믿겠느냐?"(요 3:12)라고 말씀하셨다. 그 당시 땅에 대한 과학적인 발견들이 나타나기 전에 창조주이신 예수께서 거듭나지 않은 자연인에게 땅의 일을 말씀하신들 어찌 알 수 있겠는가? 지금도 여전히 거듭나지 못한 사람들은 교회에 아무리 다니면서 종교 행위를 한다할지라도 땅 위에서 맺어지는 남편과 아내의 관계가 무엇인지 알 수 없는 것이다. 그러기에 소위 그리스도인이라고 자처하면서 주일마다 예배를 드리는 사람들이 그렇게 많지만  과연 아내된 자들이 남편에게 복종하는 사람들이 얼마나 되며, 또한 과연 남편된 사람들이 아내를   죽도록 사랑하고 있는가?

       사도 바울은 에베소 교회에 있는 거듭난 성도들에게 신비로운 하나님의 말씀을 증거하고 있는 것이다. 하나님의 교회는 그리스도의 신부들의 모임이라 증거하면서 하나님의 말씀에 복종하는 것이 남편이신 그리스도께 복종하는 것임을 증거하고 있는 것이다. 예수 그리스도의 피를 통하여 모든 죄가 제거되어 성령으로 다시 태어나서 그리스도의 신부가 되어 그리스도 안에 있는 신부들이 해야할 일에 대하여 "말씀에 의한 물로 씻어 거룩하게 하시고 깨끗게 하사 자기 앞에 영광스러운 교회로 나타내서 점이나 주름진 것이나 또한 그러한 것들이 없이 거룩하고 흠 없게 하려 하심이니라."(엡 5:26,27)고 권면하고 있는 것이다.

      이 땅에서 행해지는 혼인식에 나온 신부의 웨등 드레스에 온갖 더러운 점들로 가득하고  주름으로 가득하다면 어떠하겠는가? 사람의 육체도 늙어지면서 몸에 있는 수분이 고갈되게 되면 그때부터 점들과 주름살로 가득차게 되는 것이다. 그러므로 이 땅에서 육신에 일어나는 일을 보면서 영적으로 그리스도의 신부로 준비되는 사람들이 마땅히 해야 할 일을 깨닫게 되는 것이다. 불완전한 사람의 육신은 아무리 노력해도 늙음을 면치 못하겠지만 성령으로 거듭나서 혼이 구원받은 그리스도인들은 몸은 비록 장막집처럼 무너지겠지만(고후 5:1) 그리스도께서 나타나실 때 죽지 않고 썩지 않는 새 몸을 입을 소망을 가지고 주님을 기다리고 있는 사람들인 것이다. (고전 15:51-54)

       사도 바울은 거듭난 그리스도의 신부들을 향하여 어린양의 혼인식에 입고 갈 결혼 예복인 세마포를 어떻게 준비하는가에 대하여 증거하고 있는 것이다. 사도 요한은 앞으로 조만간 있게 될 어린 양의 혼인식에 대하여 증거하고 있다: "기뻐하고 즐거워하며 그분께 존귀를 돌리세. 이는 어린 양의 혼인식이 다가왔고 그의 아내도 자신을 예비하였음이라. 이제 그녀에게 허럭허사 정결하고 흰 세마포를 입게 하셨으니 세마포는 성도들의 의라고 하더라. 그때 그가 내게 말하기를 '어린 양의 혼인 잔치에 초대된 그들은 복이 있다고 기록하라.' 하고 또 내게 말하기를 '이것들은 참된 하나님의 말씀이라.'고 하더라."((계 19:7-9).

         하나님의 교회에 속한 그리스도의 신부된 모든 사람들은 세마포를 이미 받았으니 그 세마포를 말씀에 의한 물로 씻어야 할 것에 대하여 말씀하고 있는 것이다. 마치 이 땅에 있는 육신도 많은 물로 가득차야만 얼굴에 주름없이 젊음을 유지하는 것처럼 그리스도의 신부들은 생명수로 가득찬 하나님의 말씀으로 온 영과 혼 안에 가득 채워야 하는 것이다. 주님께서 명절의 가장 큰 날인 마지막 날에 외치시면서 말씀하셨다: "누구든지 목마르거든 내게로 와서 마시라. 나를 믿는 자는 성경이 말씀한 것과 같이, 그의 배에서 생수의 강들이 흐르리라."(요 7:37, 38) 또한 생수의 강에 대하여 사도 요한은 주님을 믿는 자들이 받을 성령이라고 증거했다.

       그렇다! 오직 성령이 있는 사람들만이 말씀을 먹을 수 있는 것이다. 또한 그 말씀들을 들을 때 자신의 잘못된 것들을 깨닫고 회개할 때에 말씀에 의한 물로 세마포에 있는 점들이 씻겨지고 영적인 주름들도 펴지게 되는 것이다. 앞으로 주님께서 나타나실 때 아름다운 신부로 준비되는 것이다.

사도 바울은 광야에서 이스라엘 백성들을 위하여 강물같은 물을 낸 반석에 대하여 "모두 같은 영적인 음식을 먹었으며 모두 같은 영적 음료를 마셨다는 것이라. 이는 그들이 그들을 따랐던  그 영적 반석에서 나온 것을 마셨음이요, 그 반석은 그리스도셨느니라."(고전 10:3,4)고 증거했다.

       그렇다! 그 영적 반석이 우리 손에 들려져 있다. 그것이 바로 하나님의 말씀이며 태초에 말씀으로 계셨던 주 예수 그리스도이신 것이다. 이미 우리는 푸른 초장에 누워있으며 잔잔한 물가에 와 있는 것이다(시 23:2). 그러므로 우리가 마음만 먹으면 영적인 생수를 충만히 마셔서 세마포에 묻은 모든 점들과 주름을 없앨 수 있는 것이다.  다윗 왕은 자신이 얼마나 하나님의 말씀을 사모했는지 "수사슴이 시냇물을 갈망하는 것같이 오 하나님이여, 내 혼도 그처럼 주를 갈망하나이다."(시 42:1)라고 기도했다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 119:1-16

Main scripture: Ephesians 5:21-33

Subject: God wants to present his church to himself a glorious one

       Apostle Paul testifies of the relationship between Christ and the church of God as the one between husband and wife. He declares, this is as great mystery. Wives must submit unto their own husbands; and husbands must love their wives as  Christ gave himself. If someone cries out to the Lord saying I love you Lord even not loving his own wife, how God responds his prayer? If someone prays to the Lord saying I summit myself unto you even not submitting unto her own husband, what kind of response would be from God?

       Jesus Christ had to taste death for three days and three night to give sinners like us as Adam: "And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."(Gen. 2:21-24)

Apostle Paul testified of this to the church of Corinthians: "And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit."(1Cor. 15:45) He also testified: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

       Therefore, whosoever believes on the gospel of grace of Jesus Christ that died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures(1Cor. 15:1-4) shall be the bone of Christ as well as flesh of his flesh spiritually to be the wife of Christ that is the last Adam and the living Son of God. God arranged the system of marriage between man and woman to reveal the mysterious relationship between Christ and his bride.

       Jesus spoke unto Nicodemus not being born again yet:

"If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?"(John 3:12) How natural men could understand even earthly things spoken by Jesus, the Creator when scientific discoveries not yet to come? Yea! Even nowadays natural men that are not born again couldn't understand the relationship between husband and wife in the earth, even though they are used to doing ritual activities in the church. This is the reason why there are very few that wives submit unto their husband; and husbands love their wives unto death among so called Christians that come to church to worship God.

       Apostle Paul testified of a mysterious word of God unto the born again Christians in the church of Ephesians saying the church of God is the congregation of the brides of Christ; and he said unto them, they have to submit unto the words of God to submit unto Christ, their husband. He also show the things that should be done by the bride of Christ that are born of the Spirit through the Holy Ghost and the blood of Christ: "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."(Eph. 5:26,27)

       If the wedding dress of bride is full of dots and wrinkles, how the groom may feel of it? The flesh of man is supposed to be filled with dots and wrinkles at his old age because of lack of water within body. This is the way for us to understand how to ready to be the bride of Christ spiritually seeing dots and wrinkles in physical body. The imperfect  flesh of natural man cannot avoid getting old; but the Christians that are born again of the Spirit to receive the salvation of soul have the hope to be changed to immortal and incorruptible body when Christ appears in the air (1Cor. 15:51-54), even though the tabernacle of body is to be collapsed to corruption(2Cor. 5:1).

       Apostle Paul encourage to the saints of Ephesians how to prepare their wedding gown that is white linen. Apostle John testified of the marriage of the Lamb of God that comes to pass in near future: "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is com, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in the fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true saying of God."(Rev. 19:7-9)

        All the saints that are bride of Christ belonging to the church of God have already received the fine linen; and their fine linen should be washed through filling within spirit and soul with the living water in the words of God, as the earthly body could keep youth without wrinkles through waters within it. In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried saying, "If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."(John 7:37,38)

Apostle John testified of the living water as the Holy Ghost which shall be given unto them that believe on him.

       Yea! Only they that received the Spirit of God are able to eat the words of God. And when they hear the words of God, they come to understand their transgression and repent; this is the way to wash the dots and to stretch the wrinkles on their wedding dress so that they may be prepared as beautiful brides. Apostle Paul testified of the rock that gave waters to the people of Israel in the wilderness: "And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ."(1Cor. 10:3,4)

       Yea! The spiritual rock is in our hands that is the word of God as well as the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word in the beginning. We are already lying down in the green pastures; and Jesus Christ has leaded us beside the still waters (Ps. 23:2). Therefore, if we only want, we can drink spiritual living waters as much as we want to wipe out the dots and wrinkles. King David prayed for the words of God desperately saying, "As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God."(Ps 42;1) Amen! Hallelujah!
