금주의 묵상: 시편 149:1-9

본문: 창세기 37:2-11

제목: 하나님 안에서 꿈(약속)을 받은 자의 삶

      오늘 본문 말씀을 통하여 성령께서는 요셉에 대하여 말씀하고 있습니다. 야곱은 요셉을 그의 모든 자녀들 보다 더 사랑했습니다. 이로 인하여 요셉은 다른 형제들의 미움의 대상이 되었습니다. 그런데 그의 형제들이 요셉을 더욱 미워하게 되는 일이 일어났습니다. 이제는 요셉을 죽일 정도로 미워하게 한 시건이 일어난 것입니다.

     하나님께서는 요셉에게 꿈을 통하여 그분의 계획을 계시하셨습니다. 그 당시에는 어떤 기록된 말씀도 없었고 하나님께서는 옛날 아브라함에게 계시하신 것처럼 꿈이나 환상을 통하여 자신의 뜻을 나타내신 것입니다. 요셉이 자신의 꿈에 대하여 말하면서  다른 형제들의 곡식단들이 자신의 곡식단이 일어서서 똑바로 설 때에 자신의 곡식단에게 경의를 표했다고 말했습니다. 그때에 다른 형제들은 요셉에게 그가 자신들을 다스릴 것이라고 말한 것으로 알고 요셉을 더욱 미워하기 시작했습니다.

        요셉은 또 다른 꿈을 꾸고 그의 아비와 형제들에게 말하기를 “보소서 내가 또 꿈을 꾸었는데, 보소서, 해와 달과 열한 개의 별들이 내게 경의를 표하더이다.”(창 37:9)라고 했습니다. 이때에 그의 아비 야곱은 그를 꾸짖었지만 요셉의 말에 주목하였습니다. 그러나 그의 형제들은 그를 더욱 미워하게 되었습니다.

        하나님께서는 앞으로 요셉이 통치자가 될 것을 미리 보여주신 것입니다. 그는 하나님의 약속을 마음으로 굳게 믿었고 입으로 시인한 것입니다. 마치 지금 시대에 영원한 생명을 받아 구원을 받는 것에 대하여 성령께서는 사도 바울을 통하여 “네가 네 입으로 주 예수를 시인하고 또 하나님께서 그를 죽은 자들로부터 살리신 것을 네 마음에 믿으면 구원을 받으리라. 이는 사람이 마음으로 믿어 의에 이르고 입으로 고백하여 구원에 이르기 때문이라.”(롬 10:9,10)고 증거했습니다. 요셉은 하나님께서 그에게 약속하신 것을 의심하지 않고 비록 그에게는 도저히 가능성이 없는 약속이었지만 마음으로 믿었기 때문에 다른 형제들이나 부모의 귀에 거슬릴 것을 분명히 알았지만 그는 그의 입으로 담대하게 증거한 것입니다.

        그의 형제들은 그가 꾼 꿈으로 인해 그를 미워했습니다. 다시 말해서 하나님께서 그에게 주신 약속을 시기함으로써 그를 미워하게 된 것입니다. 마치 가인이 동생 아벨과 그의 제물을 하나님께서 열납하신 사실을 알고 그를 미워한 나머지 죽인 것처럼 그의 형제들의 마음 속에는 이미 그를 죽이려는 마음으로 기득차게 되었던 것입니다.

       가인이 동생을 죽일 기회를 만났던 것처럼, 마침내 요셉의 형제들은 그를 죽일 기회를 찾게 되었습니다. 그의 아비 야곱의 심부름으로 요셉이 그의 형제들을 찾았을 때 그의 형제들은 그를 죽이기로 공모하면서 “보라, 이 꿈꾸는 자가 오는도다.”(창 37:18,19)라고 말하면서 그를 죽이려고 했지만 하나님의 간섭하심 가운데 장자 르우벤을 통하여 그가 죽임을 당하지 않도록 하셨습니다. 그는 하나님의 계획 안에서 이스마엘인들에게 팔리게 되었고 마침내 요셉은 이집트로 끌려와서 파라오의 경호대장 포디발의 집에 종으로 팔려가게 되었습니다. 하나님께서는 앞으로 요셉을 통하여 그의 민족들을 이집트로 인도하실 것을 계획하신 것입니다. 오래 전에 하나님께서는 아브라함에게 하신 말씀을 이루시기 위하여 요셉에게 꿈을 주셨던 것입니다: “너는 분명히 알지니 네 씨가 자기 땅이 아닌 곳에서 타국인이 되어 그들을 섬길 것이요, 그들이 사백 년 동안 네 자손을 괴롭게 하겠고 그들이 섬길 그 민족을 내가 또한 심판하리니, 그후에 그들이 큰 재물을 가지고 나오리라.”(창 15:13,14)

        그렇습니다. 하나님께서는 자신의 뜻을 이루시기 위하여 믿음의 사람을 택하시고 그를 통하여 이루시기를 원하시는 것입니다. 하나님께서는 요셉의 마음을 미리 아시고 자신의 계획을 이루시기 위하여 상상할 수 없는 환경 속으로 그를 인도하실지라도 끝까지 믿음을 버리지 않고 끝까지 인내할 것을 미리 아셨던 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 끝까지 죄에 물들지 않고 거룩함 속에서 하나님의 뜻을 이룰 것도 미리 아신 것입니다.

       요셉은 하나님의 미리 아심 가운데 종으로 팔려도 불평하거나 그가 받은 약속을 의심하지 않았습니다. 포디발의 아내가 유혹하였지만 끝내 거절하였고 이로 인해 그가 억울하게 감옥에 갇혀있으면서도 모든 일에 감사하는 삶을 살았던 것입니다. 그는 진정으로 하나님을 사랑하였기에 그의 조상 아브라함처럼 그분의 약속을 의심하지 않았고 오히려 그의 믿음 역시 아브라함처럼 견고해졌던 것입니다. 성령께서는 사도 바울을 통하여 마지막 때에 살고 있는 그리스도인들에게 “우리가 알거니와 하나님을 사랑하는 자들, 곧 그분의 목적에 따라 부르심을 받은 자들에게는 모든 일이 합력하여 선을 이루느니라.”(롬 8:28)고 증거했습니다.

        마침내 오랜 세월 후에 하나님께서는 파라오에게 꿈을 꾸게 하셨고 요셉으로 하여금 꿈을 해석하게 하셨으며 파라오로 하여금 요셉을 제 2인자로 만들어서 그의 백성들을 기근으로부터 구하게 하셨을뿐만 아니라 그들을 강권적으로 이집트로 인도하셨던 것입니다. 오랜 고난 끝에 어느날 갑자기 요셉에게 주신 꿈이 단 하루에 이루어지게 하신 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 하나님께서는 앞으로 올 천년왕국에서 요셉의 아들들인 에프라임과 므낫세 지파에게 땅을 분배하심으로써 요셉에게는 두 몫을 주실 것이라고 선지자 에스겔을 통하여 예언했습니다(겔 48:5,6).

        오늘날에도 신실한 그리스도인들이 고난 가운데 살다가 어느날 한 날, 즉 예수 그리스도께서 나타나시는 날에 그리스도와 혼인하게 되고 그분과 함께 이 땅에 내려와 요셉처럼 통치자가 될 것입니다. 그러므로 사도 바울은 거듭난 그리스도인들에게 “항상 기뻐하라. 쉬지 말고 기도하라. 모든 일에 감사하라. 이것은 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희에 관한 하나님의 뜻이니라.”(살전 5:16-18)고 증거했 습니다.

       요셉은 하나님의 삼위일체 중 제 2위이신 그분의 독생자 예수 그리스도의 모형으로 볼 수 있습니다. 아들 하나님께서도 아버지께서 세상을 이처럼 사랑하셔서 자신을 대속물로 주신 것을 아시고 세상 죄를 위하여 죽으시려고 이 땅에 나타나신 것입니다. 사도 바울은 예수 그리스도의 순종하심에 대하여 “너희 안에 이 생각을 품으라. 곧 그리스도 에수 안에도 있는 생각이라. 그는 하나님의 형체로 계시므로 하나님과 동등됨을 탈취라 여기지 아니하셨으나 오히려 자신의 영예를 버리고 종의 형체를 입으시어 사람들의 모습을 취하셨느니라. 그리하여 사람과 같은 모습으로 나타나셔서 자신을 낮추시고 죽음에까지 순종하셨으니 십자가의 죽음에까지라. 이로 인하여 하나님께서는 그를 지극히 높이시고 모든 이름 위에 있는 한 이름을 그에게 주사 하늘에 있는 것이나 땅 위에 있는 것이나 땅 아래 있는 것이나 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고 모든 혀가 예수 그리스도를 주라 시인하여 하나님 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨느니라.”(빌 2:5-11)고 증거했습니다. 그는 또한 히브리인들에게도 “우리 믿음의 창시자요 완성자이신 예수를 바라보자. 그는 자기 앞에 놓인 즐거움을 위하여 십자가를 견디시고 수치를 개의치 아니하시더니 하나님의 보좌 오른편에 앉으셨느니라. 너희 마음이 지쳐 낙심치 않기 위하여 자기에게 저질러진 죄인들의 그와 같은 모순된 행동들을 견뎌내신 그를 깊이 생각하라.”(히 12:2,3)고 증거했습니다.

          마지막 때에 하나님의 자녀들에게 주신 꿈은 무엇입니까? 성령께서는 사도 바울을 통하여 우리에게 주신 꿈을 성경말씀 안에 자세하게 기록해 놓으셨습니다:“성령이 친히 우리의 영과 함께 우리가 하나님의 자녀임을 증거하시거니와 자녀이면 또한 상속자들이요, 그리스도와 함께한 공동상속자들이니 우리가 그와 함께 고난을 받은 것은 함께 영광도 받게 하려 함이니라. 이는 현재의 고난들이 우리에게 나타날 영광에 감히 비교되지 못한다고 내가 여기기 때문이라.”(롬 8:16-18)

        우리에게 나타날 영광은 영광 중에 나타나시는 주 예수 그리스도의 날에 모든 고난이 끝나고 요셉처럼 제 2 위이신 예수 그리스도의 신부가 되어 요셉처럼 통치하는 축복을 받게 되는 것입니다. 옛날 요셉의 형제들이 요셉이 꾼 꿈으로 인하여 그를 미워하고 죽이려고 한 것처럼, 오늘날에도 육신적인 그리스도인들이 거듭난 그리스도인들에게 주신 통치자의 꿈으로 인해 박해하고 미워하고 있는 것입니다. 그러나 우리에게 주신 이 엄청난 꿈을 믿고 입으로 시인하면서 모든 고난을 이겨내며 거룩한 삶을 살게 될 때에  마침내 주님께서 오시는 한 날에 요셉처럼 이 엄청난 꿈이 이루어질 것입니다. 이멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: psalms 149:1-9

Subject: Life of them that received dream(promise) in God

       In the main passage, the Holy Ghost testifies of Joseph. Jacob, Israel loved Joseph more than all his children; he was hated by his brothers. Something happened to his brothers to hate Joseph more than before; they hated him to death.

        The LORD God revealed his plan unto Joseph through a dream. At that time there was no written word of God at all; but God reveled his will through dream or vision as he did unto Abraham. Joseph explained about hid dream saying, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood around about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. Then his brother said to him, Shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? Since then, they hated him yet more for his dream, and for his words.

        Joseph dreamed yet another dream. and told it his brothers, and said, “Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.”(Gen. 37:9) And his brothers more envied him; but his father observed the saying in his heart.

         The LORD God showed Joseph to be a ruler in the future. He believed the dream as the promise from God firmly, and he confessed with his mouth. The Holy Ghost testified of the salvation for eternal life through Apostle Paul: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”(Rom. 10:9, 10)

Joseph not doubted the promise of God, he believed the dream as real one even though it seemed not to be realized at all; he testified of his dream as the promise of God for him confessing with his mouth boldly knowing his word bothering his brothers as well as his parents.

        His brothers hated him because of his dreams. In other word, they envied his dreams to hatred as Cain hated his brother Abel knowing God received his brother and his offering not him, and killed him after all. His brothers were filled murder in their heart as Cain was.

        As Cain had a chance to kill his brother in the field, they found out a chance to kill Joseph in the field, when he visited them to do the errand of his father. They conspired against him to slay him, said to one to another, “Behold, this dreamer cometh.”(Gen. 37:19) But by the interception of God, he was not killed as they planed listening Reuben’s advice. He was sold as a slave unto Ishmeelites in the plan of God; and finally he was sold to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh in Egypt. The LORD God had planned for the people of Israel to enter Egypt through Joseph. The LORD God gave the dreams to Joseph to fulfill his word unto Abraham long time ago: “Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.”(Gen. 15:13,14)

        Yea! God chooses the man of faith to fulfill his will through him. The LORD God foreknew Joseph who shall endure to the end even though God leads him to the unimaginably miserable situations. In addition to it, God foreknew him to fulfill his will in holiness not compromising with iniquities.

         Joseph neither  murmured nor doubted even though he was sold as a slave in the midst of God’s foreknowing. Even though the wife of Potiphar tempted him, he rejected her. He gave thanks tot the LORD God even though he was put in jail wrongfully. He loved God sincerely; as his forefather Abraham he  never doubted the promise of God at all, and rather his faith became more stronger. The Holy Ghost testified through Apostle Paul unto the Christians living in the last days: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”(Rom. 8:28)

        Finally, many years were passed by, the LORD God made Pharaoh dream a dream; and made Joseph interpret the dream; and God made Pharaoh make Joseph the second ruler of Egypt to deliver the Israel from the famine to enforce them to enter Egypt as he Planned. All of sudden, in a day, God made  the dream of Joseph come true. Not only that, but also God gave Joseph reward giving double portion of the land in the Millennium of Jesus Christ giving the lands unto his two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh  making them tribes of Israel as prophesied by prophet Ezekiel (EZ. 48:5,6)

          Nowadays, faithful Christians shall be married to Jesus Christ all of sudden in a day that is the day of Christ living in the midst of sufferings; and they shall reign with Christ in the earth as Joseph.

Therefore, Apostle Paul encouraged unto the born again Christians saying,“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”(1Thes. 5:16-18)

        Joseph is the model of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, the second God head of the Trinity. The God the Son also foreknew that God so loved the world, and he is willing to give him as the redeemer for the world; and he became a man to die for the sin of the world. Apostle Paul testified of his obedience saying,

 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”(Phil. 2:5-11) He also testified of him unto the Hebrews saying, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.”(Heb. 12:2,3)

 What is the dream fro the children of God in the last days? The Holy Ghost testified of it written in the word of God:

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”(Rom. 8:16-18)

           The glory for us is to be the bride of Jesus Christ in the day of Christ appearing gloriously ending all sufferings to reign with him. As the brothers of Joseph hated him because of his dreams, even nowadays, carnal Christians are envying to hatred and persecution because of the dream of the ruler. But, when we believe this enormous dream, and confess with the mouth as Joseph, and overcome all the sufferings unto the holiness, our dream shall come true in a day when Jesus Christ appears for us. Amen! hallelujah!
