금주의 묵상: 시편 2:1-12

본문: 이사야 9:2-7

제목:  주예수가그리스도이심을알고  경배하고있는가?

        하나님께서는 이천칠백 여 년 전에 선지자  이사야를 통하여 이스라엘 백성들에게 한 가지 신비로운 예언을 하게 하셨습니다.: “그러므로 주께서 친히 한 표적을 너희에게 주시리라. 보라, 한 처녀가 임신하여 아들을 낳으리니 그의이름을임마누엘이라하리라. 그는 버터와 꿀을 먹을 것이요, 그리하여 그가 악을 거절하고 선을 택할 줄 알게 되리라.”(사 7:14,15)

그후에 하나님께서는 한 처녀가 낳게 될 아들만이 이스라엘 백성들에게 유일한 소망이 될 것을 또 한 번 에언하게 하셨습니다: “이는 우리에게 한 아이가 태어났고 우리에게 한 아들이 주어졌음이니 정부가 그 어깨 위에 있을 것이요, 그의이름은경이로운분이라, 상담자라, 능하신하나님이라, 영원하신아버지라, 화평의통치자라불리리라. 그의정부와화평의증가함이다윗의보좌와그의왕국위에바르게세워지고지금부터영원까지공의와정의로그것을굳게세우는데끝이없으리라. 만군의 주의 열성이 이것을 실행하시리라.”(사 9:6,7)

        하나님께서 처녀의 몸을 빌려서 성령으로 잉태되셨다가 “예수“라는 이름으로 유대 땅 베들레헴에 태어나실 것을 말씀하셨던 것입니다. 마침내 수 천 년이 지난 어느날 자신의 말씀을 이루시기 위하여 한 처녀를 택하시고 가브리엘 천사를 그 여인에게로 보내셔서 그녀에게 말씀하셨습니다: “마리아야, 두려워 말라. 이는 네가 하나님의 은총을 받았음이니라.  너의 태 안에 임신하여 한 아들을 낳으리니 그의 이름을  예수라 하라. 그는 위대하게 될 것이며, 가장 높으신 분의 아들이라 불릴 것이요, 또 주 하나님께서그에게그의조상다윗의보좌를주실것이며그는야곱의집안을영원히통치할것이요그의왕국은무궁하리라.”(눅 1:30-33)

       이렇게 신비로운 방법으로 하나님께서 한 처녀의 몸을 통하여 유대 땅 베들레햄에서 태어나셨지만  하나님께서는 그날 밤 베들레햄에서 양을 치던 목자들에게만 천사를보내셔서 그들로 하여금 주이신 그리스도가 태어나신 것을 알리셨으며 그들은 황급히 가서 그 아기를 보았습니다. 또한 그가 나신지 팔 일째 되던날 예루살렘에 살고 있던 시므온이라는 사람이 성령에 이끌려서 성전으로 들어오다가 아기 예수를 만나서 자신의 두 팔로 안고 하나님을 송축하면서 말했습니다: “주여, 주의 말씀대로 이제는 주의 종을 평안히 가게 하옵소서. 이는 내 눈으로 주의구원을보았기때문이니이다. 이 구원은 모든 백성에게 예비하신 것이며 이방인들에게 비치는 빛이요, 주의 백성 이스라엘의 영광이옵니다.”(눅 2:29-32)  그는 계속해서 주의 모친 마리아에게 예언하며 말했습니다: “보라, 이 아기는 이스라엘에 있는 많은 사람의 패망과 흥성을 위하여, 또 비방받을 표적을 위하여 세워졌으니, 정녕 칼이 또 네 자신의 혼을 찌름 같이 되어, 많은 사람의 마음 속에 있는 생각들이 드러나게 되리라.”(눅 2:34,35)

시므온은 의롭고 경건하며 이스라엘의 위로를 기다리고 있었습니다. 그때에 성령께서 그에게 임하셨고 성령께서 그에게 계시로 알게 해 주셨습니다. 이는그가주의그리스도를보기전에는죽음을보지않으리라는것이었습니다.

        또한 그때에 아셀 지파 파누엘의 딸인 안나라고 하는 여선지자가 있었는데, 나이가 매우 많고 그녀가 결혼하여 칠 년을 남편하고 살았고 과부가 된 지 팔십사 년이 되었으나, 성전을 떠나지 않고, 밤낮 금식과 기도로써 하나님을 섬기고 있었습니다. 시므온이 아기 예수를 만나고 있던 같은 시간에 그녀가 주께 감사드리면서 예루살렘에서 구속을 기다리는 모든 사람에게 그 아기에 대하여 말하고 있었습니다. 시므온과 안나는 그 당시 선지자 이사야를 통하여 하신 말씀을 굳게 믿고 생전에 그리스도 예수를 만나리라는 확신 가운데 살았기에 성령께서는 그들이 죽기 전에 예수님을 만날 수 있도록 하셨던 것입니다.

        뿐만 아니라, 동방에 있던 현자들도 성령의 인도하심으로 예수님의 별을 보고 거의 이 년  동안 여행하여  예루살렘까지 와서 이미 어린 아이가 되신 예수님을 만나 그 어린아이를 보고 엎드려 그에게 경배하고 보물함을 열어 황금과 유향과 몰약을 예물로 드렸습니다. 그들 역시 시므온과 안나처럼 예수께서 그리스도이심을 알았던 것입니다. 그들이  드린 몰약은   선지자처럼 고난받으시고 세상 죄를 위하여 죽으실 그리스도이심을 믿는 고백이었습니다. 또한  그들은 유향을 드림으로써 세상 죄를 제거하신 후 부활 승천하셔서 대제사장이 되실 것을 믿었으며, 또한 황금을 드림으로 앞으로 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주로 이 땅에 오실 그리스도이심을 믿었던 것입니다. 이들 현자들 역시 민수기에 나타난 예언을 믿고  그리스도의 별이 나타날 것을 기다리면서 그분께서 이 땅에 나타나시는 날을 기다렸던 것입니다: “한 별이 야곱에게서 나올 것이며 한 홀이 이스라엘에서 일어나서, 모압의 구석구석을 쳐서 셋의 모든 자손들을 멸망시키리라.”(민 24:17)

         그러나 한편 현자들이 예루살렘에 와서 “유대인의 왕으로 태나신 분이 어디 계신가? 울가 동방에서 그의 별을 보고 그분께 경배드리러 왔노라.”(마 2:2) 말했을 때, 헤롯왕이 이말을 듣고 온 예루살렘과 더불어 불안해 했습니다. 오늘날에도 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주로  주 예수 그리스도께서 그의 왕국을 세우시려고 오신다는 말은 듣는 이 세상 통치자들, 그리고  함께 특혜를 누리고 있는 종교인들이 온 세상과 더불어 불안해 하고 있는 것입니다.  

         그 당시에 하나님의 예언의 말씀을 믿고 기다리던 소수의 사람들에게 성령께서 인도하심을 통하여 그들이 죽기 전에 메시야이신 예수 그리스도를 만나게 하셨습니다.  베들레햄에서는 많은 하늘의 군사들이 목자들에게 나타났던 그 천사와 함께  하나님을 찬양하면서 “지극히높은곳에서는하나님께영광이요, 땅에서는화평이요사람들에게는호의로다.”(눅 2:14)라고 말했습니다. 그들은 앞으로 의의 왕이시며 화평의 왕께서 이 땅에 나타나실 때에 진정한 화평이 있게 될 것을 선포한 것입니다. 주 예수 그리스도께서 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주로 또 다시 이 땅에 심판주로 나타나시어 그분의 왕국을 세우실 때까지 어느 누구도 세상에 화평을 줄 수 없다는 하나님의 선포인 것입니다. 이 땅에서 노벨 평화상을 받은 어떤 정치가라도,  또한 앞으로 나타날 적그리스도일지라도 이 땅에서는 결코 전쟁을 그치고 참된 평화를 이룰  수 없다는 하나님의 선포인 것입니다.

        이제 조만간 주 예수 그리스도께서 이 세상을 심판하시기 전에 그분을 기다리는 신부를 만나시려 공중에 나타나실 것입니다. 주님께서는 시므온이나 안나처럼 죽기 전에 그분을 만날 것을 기다리는 사람들의 이름을 부르실 것입니다. 이 믿음 역시 주님께서 하신 약속의 말씀을 믿는 사람들에게만 주신 믿음인 것입니다.

        “무화과나무의 한 비유를 배우라. 그 가지가 유연해지고 잎이 나오면, 여름이가까운줄너희가아나니, 이와 같이 너희도 이 모든 것을 보면 그 일이 가까이, 곧 문들 앞에 이른 줄 알라. 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 이 세대가 지나가기 전에 이 모든 일들이 이루어지리라.”(마 24:32-34)는 주님의 말씀 가운데 무화과나무는 이스라엘이며, 가지가 유연해지는 것은 수 천 년 동안 말라서 고목나무처럼 죽었던 이스라엘이 기적적으로 다시 회생하여 다시 살아날 것을 말씀하신 것입니다. 그 말씀대로 1948년 5월 14일에 이스라엘이라는 이름으로 다시 살아난 것입니다. 또한 잎이 나온다는 것은 많은유대인들이 “예슈아”를 믿음으로 생명을 받게 될 것이며 그때가 바로 여름, 즉 추수 때가 될 것이라는 말씀인 것입니다. 또한 주님께서는 “진실로내가너희에게말하노니“라 말씀하시면서 아주 중요한 말씀을 하셨습니다. “이세대가지나가기전에이모든일이이루어지리라.”   이 세대는 이스라엘 나라가 다시 회복되는 때로부터 한 세대 안에 자신의 재림과 천년왕국이 이 땅에 세워질 것을 말씀하고 있는 것입니다. 그리고 한 세대에 대해서는 하나님의 사람 모세를 통하여 미리 말씀하셨습니다”우리의연수가칠십이요, 강건하면팔십이어도그 연수의 힘은 수고와 슬픔이니, 그것이 끊어지면 우리가 멀리 날아가나이다.”(시 90:10)

       하나님께서 선지자 이사야를 통하여  마지막 때에 주님을 가다리는 자들을 위한 약속의 말씀을 주셨습니다: “젊은이들일지라도 곤비하고, 피곤하며, 청년들이라도 완전히 넘어지나 오직 주를 앙망하는 자는 자기의 힘을 새롭게 하리니 독수리처럼 날개로 치솟을 것이요, 그들이 달려도 피곤치 않으며 걸어도 곤비치 아니하리라.”(사 40:30,31)

       그렇습니다. 다시 오시는 주님을 우리가 죽기 전에 만나리라는 믿음을 가지고 살  때에 우리도 시므온처럼, 그리고 안나처럼 주님을 기다리는 믿음이 능력이 되어 강건하게 살다가 주님을 만날 때 우리의 온 영과 혼과 몸이 책방받을  것 없이 영광 중에 그분을 뵙는 축복을 누리게 될 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 2:1-12

Main scripture: Isaiah 9:2-7

Subject: Are you worshipping the Lord Jesus knowing him as Christ?

Two thousands and seven hundreds years ago, the LORD God let prophet Isaiah give a mysterious prophecy unto the people of Israel:

 “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.”(Isa. 7:14,15)

 And  God gave them another prophesy of the son to be born through a virgin, that shall be the only hope for Israel:

 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”(Isa. 9:6,7)

        The LORD God spoke about himself that shall be born in the Spirit in the womb of a virgin in the name of “JESUS” in Bethlehem in the land of Judah. Finally, in a day after thousands years had passed by,  God had chose a virgin, and he sent Gabriel to the woman, and let him speak unto her:

 “And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.”(Luke 1:30-33)

        The LORD God was born in the name of Jesus mysteriously through the womb of a virgin in Bethlehem; but God sent his angels only to the shepherds in Bethlehem in that night to let them know the birth of Christ. And they came with haste, and found the baby with Mary and Joseph. On the eighth day after Jesus born, Simeon came by the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child; then he took him up in his arm, and blessed God, and said, “Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.”(Luke 2:29-32)

And he continued to say a prophecy unto Mary, “Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

(Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”(Luke 2:34,35)

Simeon was a man in Jerusalem; and he was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel. Then the Holy Ghost was upon him, and he revealed him that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

       And there was an Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was one of great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; and she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spoke of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.. Simeon and Anna were living in the firm hope that they should see Jesus; and the Holy Ghost allowed them to see Jesus before they saw death.

        Not only they but also the wise men from the east saw the star of Jesus led by the Holy Ghost; and they spent almost two years until they arrived to Jerusalem to see Jesus. They saw the young child Jesus, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. They also knew Jesus as Christ as Simeon and Anna did. The myrrh that they presented was the confession of their faith that Christ Jesus shall suffer as prophets, and die for the sin of the world; and the frankincense for the High Priesthood of him; and gold for him as Christ that shall come as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords to the earth. These wise men believe the prophesy in the book of Number, and waited for the star of Christ to appear:

 “I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth”(Num. 24:17)

        When the wise men said, “Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.”(Matt. 2:2), When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. Even nowadays, upon hearing of the Lord Jesus Christ coming as King of Kings, Lord of Lords, rulers and religious leaders taking benefits from them together with all the world are troubled.

         God allowed the only small number of people to see the Messiah, Jesus Christ before they died through the Holy Ghost when they believed the prophecies of God and waited for. In Bethlehem, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”(Luke 2:14)

They proclaimed the true peace in the earth, only when the king of righteousness and peace appear in the earth. This as another proclamation that no one can bring forth peace in the earth until the Lord Jesus Christ appear as the Lord of judgment in the name of King of Kings, and Lord of Lords to establish his kingdom in the earth. Anyone, whether  they are famous politician that are Nobel prize winners or the Ant Christ to come cannot bring forth peace without any war in the earth.

        Now, sooner or later, the Lord Jesus Christ shall appear in the air to take his bride, before he judge the world. And he shall call upon the name of them that are waiting for seeing him before death as Simeon and Anna. This faith is the one that is given unto them that believe his words of promise.

        Let us listen to the parable of fig tree spoken by Jesus:

 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.”(Matt. 24:32-34)

The fig tree symbolize Israel; and tenderness of it means the restoration of Israel miraculously from a dead tree for thousands years. As he said, Israel was born again in the same name of Israel on May 14, 1948. And many Messianic Jews that believed in Yeshua to receive the eternal life as the fig tree brought forth leaves. Summer means the time of harvest that is the end of the world. The Lord Jesus said saying, “Verily I say unto you” “This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.”

        “This generation” as he said means a generation from the restoration of Israel as a nation again; in the generation, the Lord Jesus shall come to the earth to establish his kingdom in the earth. For a generation, Moses testified of it saying,

 “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”(Ps. 90:10)

        The LORD God had given a word of promise through prophet Isaiah for them that wait upon the Lord in the last days:

  “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”(Isa. 40:30,31)

        Yea! When we have faith in seeing the Lord Jesus coming again before we see death, we shall have renewed strength through our faith to live in strength as Simeon and Anna; and we shall be able to be blameless when we see him in the glory. Amen! Hallelujah!
