금주의 묵상: 시편 148:1-14

본문: 이사야 42:8-12

제목: 옛날 일들을 생각하지 말고 앞으로 나타날 새 일들을 생각하자!

       지금으로부터 약 이천 칠백 년 전에 하나님께서는 하나님의 종으로 이 땅에 나타나실 그리스도이신 예수님에 대하여 선포하셨습니다: “내가 드높이는 내 종을 보라. 나의 택한 자, 그 안에서 내 혼이 기뻐하는도다. 내가 나의 영을 그에게 두었으니, 그가 이방인들에게 심판을 가져오리라. 그는 외치지 아니하며 음성을 높이지 아니하며 그의 음성이 길거리에서 들리지도 않게 하리라. 그는 상한 갈대를 꺾지 아니하며 연기나는 심지를 끄지 아니하고, 그는 심판을 진리로 가져오리라. 그가 땅에 심판을 세우기까지는 쇠하거나 낙담하지 아니할 것이니 섬들이 그의 율법을 기다리리라. 하늘들을 창조하시고 그것들을 펼치셨으며, 땅을 펴셨고, 거기에서 소산을 내시고, 그 위에 있는 백성들에게 호흡을 주시며, 그 안에 다니는 자들에게 영을 주신 분이신 하나님 주가 이같이 말하노라. 나 주가 의로 너를 불렀으니 내가 네 손을 붙들고 너를 지킬 것이며, 백성의 언약과 이방인들의 빛으로 너를 주어 앞 못 보는 눈들을 뜨게 하며, 감옥에서 갇힌 자들을 이끌어 내며 임흑 속에 앉은 자들을 감옥에서 이끌어 내게 하리라.”(사 42:1-7)

      선지자 이사야를 통하여 하나님께서 예언하신 것을 이루시기 위하여 “예수”라는 이름으로 이 땅에 나타나신 그리스도께서는 자신이 바로 선지자 이사야가 예언한 하나님의 종이심을 증거하셨습니다: “주께서 자라나신 나사렛에 오셔서 자신의 관례에 따라 안식일에 회당에 들어가서 성경을 읽으시려고 서시더라. 선지자 이사야의 책을 드리니 그 책을 펴시고 이같이 기록된 부분을 찾으시더라. ‘주의 영이 내게 임하시니 이는 가난한 자들에게 복음을 전하게 하시려고 내게 기름을 부으심이라. 그가 나를 보내셨으니 이는 마음이 상한 자를 치유케 하시며, 포로들에게 구원을 선포하고, 눈 먼 자를 보게 하고, 짓밟힌 자들을 해방시켜주고 주의 기뻐 받으시는 해를 전파하게 하심이라.’ 하시고 책을 덮으신 후 그것을 맡은 자에게 다시 주고 앉으시니, 회당에 있는 모든 사람의 눈이 그에게로 주목되더라. 주께서 그들에게 말씀하기 시작하시어 ‘이 성경이 오늘날 너희 귀에 이루어졌느니라.‘고 하시니”(눅 4:16-21)

      주님께서는 이사야 61장과 42장에서 자신에 대하여 예언한 하나님의 말씀대로 자신이 바로 이사야가 예언한 그 사람이라고 유대인들에게 선포하신 것입니다. 사도 바울도 하나님의 종으로 나타나신 예수 그리스도에 대하여 증거했습니다: “너희 안에 이 생각을 품으라. 곧 그리스도 예수 안에도 있는 생각이라. 그는 하나님의 형체로 계시므로 하나님과 동등하게 되는 것을 탈취라 여기지 아니하셨으나 오히려 자신의 영예를 버리고 종의 형체를 입으시어 사람들의 모습을 취하셨느니라. 그리하여 사람과 같은 모양으로 나타나셔서 자신을 낮추시고 죽음에까지 순종하셨으니 십자가의 죽음에까지라.”(빌 2:5-8)

          선지자 이사야의 예언대로 주님께서는 새 일들을 선포하시기 위해 이 땅에 나타나신 것입니다. 또한 새 일들을 선포하시는 이유에 대하여 이전 일들이 이루어졌기 때문이라고 말씀하고 있습니다. 또한 그 새일들이 시작되기 전에 그것들을 말씀하시겠다고 하십니다. 또한 새 일들이 시작되기 전에 바다로 내려가는 자들과, 그 안에 있는 모든 것들과 섬들과 그 거민들에게, 새 노레로 주께 노래하며 땅 끝에서부터 그를 찬양하라고 말씀하십니다. 뿐만 아니라 광야와, 거기에 있는 성읍들과 케달인들이 거하는 마을들도 그들의 음성을 높일 것이며, 바위의 거민들로 노래하게 하며 그들로 산꼭대기에서 소리지르게 하라고 말씀하십니다. 또한 그들로 하여금 주께 영광을 돌리며 섬들 안에서 그의 찬양을 선포하게 하라고 말씀하고 있습니다.

        하나님께서는 징계받은 이스라엘 백성들이 구속받고 회복될 때에 그가  하실 새 일들을 말씀하신 것입니다. 새 일들을 선포하신 하나님께서 그들에게 다시 말씀하셨습니다: “너희는 이전 일들을 기억하지 말며, 옛날 일들을 생각하지 말라. 보라, 내가 새 일을 행하리니 이제 나타나리라. 너희가 그 일을 알지 못하였느냐? 내가 정녕 광야에 길을, 사막에 강들을 내리라. 들의 짐승이 나를 존경할 것이요, 용들과 올빼미들도 그러하리라. 이는 내가 광야에 물들을, 사막에 강들을 주어 나의 백성, 나의 택한 자로 마시게 할 것임이라. 이 백성은 내가 나를 위하여 조성하였나니 그들이 나의 찬양을 나타내 보이리라….네가 들었으니 이 모든 일을 보라. 그런데도 너희가 그것을 선포하지 않겠느냐? 내가 이제부터 새 일들, 즉 네가 알지 못했던 감추어진 일들을 네게 보이겠노라,”(사 43:18-21; 48:6)

         하나님께서 택하신 이스라엘 민족에 대한 하나님의 뜻은 재앙이 아니라고 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 말씀하셨습니다: “이는 내가 너희를 향하여 생각하는 그 생각들을 내가 앎이니, 곧 화평의 생각이요, 재앙이 아니라. 기대하던 끝을 너희에게 주리라. 주가 말하노라.”(렘 29:11)

        그렇습니다. 이스라엘 민족에게 율법을 주신 하나님께서는 그들이 지킬 수 없음도 아셨습니다. 그들이 결국은 율법을 지키지 못하다가 모세를 통하여 말씀하신 모든 저주들이 그들에게 임했습니다. 그러나 하나님께서는 선지자 다니엘을 통하여 마지막 한 이레, 즉 대 횐란 때에 그들이 회개하여 남은 자들을 위하여 이 땅에 새 일들을 행하심으로 이루어질 하나님의 왕국에 들어가게 하시려고 선지자들을 통하여 미리 말씀하신 것입니다. 하나님께서는 그들을 저주하는 것이 목적이 아니라 그들이 하나님을 떠났을 때 어떻게 그분의 말씀대로 그들에게 이루어진 것을 깨닫고 말씀하신 분이 주 하나님이심을 깨닫고 회개하기를 원하시는 것입니다.

       하나님께서는 이스라엘 대한 하나님의 생각에 대하여 선지자 에스겔을 통하여 다시 발씀하셨습니다: “그러므로  내가 내 손을 그들 위에 펴서 그 땅을 황폐케 하리니 정녕, 그들의 모든 거주지에서 디블랏을 향한 광야보다도 더 황폐케 하리라. 그리하면 그들은 내가 주인 줄 알리라.”(겔 6:14)

          이스라엘의 남은 자들이 조만간 마지막 그들이 연단받는 야곱의 고난의 때, 즉 대 환란 때에 주 예수 그리스도가 그들의 메시야이시며, 그들의 하나님이심을 알게 될 것입니다. 그때에 선지자 이사야를 통하여 미리 말씀하신 새 일들을  그들을 위하여 이 땅에 행하시고 이 땅을 회복하시어 그들로 하여금 화평 가운데 살게 하실 것입니다.

        뿐만 아니라, 지금 유대인이나 이방인이나 누구든지 주 예수 그리스도를 믿는 사람들 안에 새 일들을 행하심으로써  광야같은 마음 속에 있는 모든 죄악들을 그분의 피로 제거하여 깨끗하게 하시고 성령을 주심으로써 사막같은 마음 속에 생수가 흐르게 하시는 것입니다. 이천 년 전에 이 땅에 오신 주 예수 그리스도께서는 이미 자신을 믿음으로써 생명을 얻는 새 일들이 유대인이나 이방인이나 할 것 없이 이루어질 것을 이미 선포하신 것입니다. 또한 그분께서 행하신 새 일들을 통하여 하나님의 자녀된 그리스도인들도 때로는 징계를 받지만 징계하시는 하나님의 목적은 재앙이 아니라 화평인 것입니다, 사도 바울은 히브리인들에게 하나님의 징계에 대하여 증거했습니다: “주께서 그의 사랑하시는 자를 징계하시고, 그가 받으시는 아들마다 매질하시느니라.고 하신 것이라. 너희가 징계를 견디어 내면 하나님께서는 너희를 아들들로 대우하실 것이니, 어버지가 징계하지 않는 아들이 어디 있느냐? …징계가 그 당시에는 즐겁지 않고 슬픈 것 같으나 후에 그로 인하여 훈련된 자들에게는 화평한 의의 열매를 맺느니라.”(히 12:6,7,11)

          대 환란 기간에 회개하는 유대인들과 이방인들을 위하여 이 땅에 천 년 동안 새 일들을 행하실 것입니다. 또한 하나님께서는  마지막 심판을 하신 후 새 하늘과 새 땅과 새 예루살렘을 만드시고 더 이상 슬픔도 눈물도 사망도 울부짖음도 고통도 없게 하심으로써 이전 것들을 다 사라지게 하실 것입니다. 영원한 새 일들을 행하실 하나님께서 하시는 말씀에 대하여 사도 요한이 증거했습니다: “보좌에 앉으신 분이 말씀하시기를 ‘보라, 내가 만물을 새롭게 만드노라.’ 하시고 내게 말씀하시기를 ‘이 말씀들은 참되고 신실하니 기록하라.’ 하시고 또 내게 말씀하시기를 ‘다 이루었노라. 나는 알파와 오메가요 시작과 끝이라. 내가 목마른 자에게 생명수의 샘을 값없이 주리라. 이기는 자는 모든 것을 상속받으리니, 나는 그에게 하나님이 될 것이요 그는 나에게 아들이 되리라. 그러나 두려워하는 자들과 믿지 아니하는 자들과 가증스런 자들과 살인자들과 음행하는 자들과 마술하는 자들과 우상 숭배하는 자들과 모든 거짓말하는 자들은 불과 유황으로 타는 못에 참여하리니 이것이 둘째 사망이라.’고 하시더라.”(계 22:5-8)

         사도 바울은 빌립보에 있는 성도들에게 말했습니다: “형제들아, 나는 내가 붙잡은 것으로 것으로 여기지 아니하노라. 다만 한 가지 일, 즉 뒤에 있는 것은 잊어버리고 앞에 있는 것들에 손을 뻗쳐 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님의 고귀한 부르심의 상을 위하여 그 푯대를 향해 좇아갈 뿐이라.”(빌 3:13, 14) 우리에게 주 예수 그리스도를 믿는 은혜를 주시어 세상을 이긴 자들이 되게 하시어 (요일 5:4,5) 그리스도의 날에 상 주시는 주님께 감사와 찬송과 영광을 드립니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 148:1-14

Main scripture: Isaiah 42:8-12

Subject: Not consider the things of old, but the new things to come!

        Two thousand and seven hundreds years ago, the LORD God declared Christ Jesus that shall appear in the earth:

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.”(Isa. 42:1-7)

        To fulfill the prophesy that was spoken by Isaiah, the Christ that appeared in the name of Jesus testified of himself as the servant of God as Isaiah prophesied of him:

“And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”(Luke 4:16-21)

          The Lord Jesus declared of himself to the Jews as the very man that Prophet Isaiah prophesied the chapters 42 and 61of himself. Apostle Paul also testified of Jesus Christ as the servant of God:

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”(Phil. 2:5-8)

        As Prophet prophesied, the Lord Jesus came to the earth to declared the new things. Of the reason why he declares the new things, the LORD God said, Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.

Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare his praise in the islands.

          The LORD God spoke of the new things for the Israel when they are restored after they are chastened in the future. The LORD God spoke unto them again after he declared the new things:

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise….. Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.”(Isa. 43:18-21; 43:6)

         The LORD God spoke through Prophet Jeremiah of his will toward Israel, not of evil:

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”(Jer. 29:11)

        Yea! The LORD God gave them the law knowing that they cannot keep the law. After all, the curses came upon them as he spoke through Moses, because they had broken the law. But now, the LORD God spoke of the new things so that they could enter the kingdom of heaven. when they repent their sins in the last week that is the last seven years in the Great Tribulation. The LORD God wanted them to repent understanding, all things are fulfilled as the word of God when they were away from God; God never wanted to curse them forever.

          Therefore, the LORD God spoke through Prophet Ezekiel of the thoughts of God unto the Israel:

“So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the Lord.”(Ez. 6:14)

        The Remnant of Israel shall understand, the Lord Jesus Christ is their Messiah and their God sooner or later in the midst of the time of Jacob’s trouble, that is the Great Tribulation. the LORD God will do the new things in the earth for them as prophesied by Prophet Isaiah to restore the land so that they may live in peace.

        Not only for the Israel, God will do the new things within them, Jews or Gentiles whosoever believe on the Lord Jesus Christ; he will take away all the iniquities in their heart to be cleansed as the desert by his blood. And he will give the Holy Ghost so that the living waters shall flow in their heart as desert. The Lord Jesus Christ appeared two thousand years, and declared the new things that shall be fulfilled through giving the eternal life through believing on him, whether they are the Jew or the Gentile. The children of God through the new things done by him also shall be chastened from time to time, but the will of God for them is not evil, but peace. Apostle Paul testified of the chastening of God unto the Hebrews:

“For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?…. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.”(Heb. 12:6,7,11)

        The LORD God will do the new things for thousand years in the earth for the Jews and the Gentiles that repent in the Great Tribulation. And he will a new heaven and a new earth and the new Jerusalem after he finishes the final judgment; and he will take away sorrow, tears, death, wailing, pain to make them disappear forever. Apostle John testified of the word of God who will do the new things eternally:

 “And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.”(Rev. 21:5-8)

        Apostle Paul testified of himself unto the saints of Philippians:

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”(Phil. 3:13)

Give thanks and praise and glory unto the Lord Jesus Christ for giving us the grace so that we may believed on him to make us to overcome the world(1John 5:4,5), and so that we may receive the rewards in the day of Christ. Amen! Hallelujah!
