금주의 묵상: 시편 96:1-13

본문: 이사야 63:17-64:1-12

제목: 주님을 사랑하고 기다리는 자들을 위하여 예비하신 것

       본문에서는 성령께서 선지자 이사야를 통하여 먼 미래에 이스라엘의 남은 자들이 하나님께 회개하면서 간구하는 기도를 드리게 될 것을 예언하고 있습니다. 그들은 주 하나님께서 이 땅에 내려오셔서 이방나라들을 심판하시라는 간구를 드리고 있습니다. 그들의 범죄로 인하여 그들의 대적들이 하나님의 성소를 짓밟게 되었음을 고백하면서 회개의 기도를 드리고 있는 것입니다.  자신들의 의를 주장하던 이스라엘 백성의 남은 자들이 비로소 자신들이 다 불결한 죄인들임을 고백하면서 그들의 모든 의는 더러운 걸레 같으며 그들의 죄악들이 자신들을 바람처럼 옮겨갔다고 말하면서 하나님께 통애하는 모습을 미리 봅니다.

         또한 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 말씀하신 것을 기억하면서 그들의 아버지 하나님은 토기장이시며 그들은 진흙에 지나지 않는다고 고백하고 있습니다. 그러기에 그들 모두는 하나님의 손 안에서 만들어지는 작품이라는 사실을 깨닫게 되었다고 고백하고 있습니다. 하나님께서는 이전에 선지자 예레미야를 토기장이의 집으로 내려가게 하셔서 토기장이가 작품을 만드는 것을 보게 하셨습니다. 그때 그가 진흙으로 만든 그릇이 손상을 입는 것을 보았고 그것으로 다른 그릇을 만드는 것을 보았습니다. 그때 주 하나님께서 말씀하셨습니다: “오 이스라엘 집아, 내가 이 토기장이처럼 너희에게 할 수 없느냐? 보라, 오 이스라엘 집아, 내가 이 토기장이처럼 너희에게 할 수 없느냐? 보라, 오 이스라엘 집아, 진흙이 토기장이의 손 안에 있는 것같이 너희가 내 손 안에 있느니라. 내가 한 민족과 한 왕국에 관하여 그것을 뽑아 버리고 붕괴시키고 파멸시키리라고 말할 경우에 만일 내가 말했던 그 민족이 그들의 악에서 돌이키면 내가 그들에게 행하리라고 생각했던 그 재앙에서 돌이키리라. 내가 한 민족과 한 왕국에 관하여 그것을 세우고 심으리라고 말할 경우에 만일 그것이 내 목전에서 악을 행하여 내 음성에 복종하지 아니하면 그때는 내가 그들에게 유익을 주리라고 말했던 그 복에서 돌이키리라.”(렘 18:6-10)

        그러므로 이스라엘의 남은자들은 하나님의 손 안에서 다시 그들이 회복되고 세워지기 위하여 회개할 것을 미리 보여주고 있습니다. 그들의 회복을 위하여 그들은 주 하나님께서 하늘을 가르고 내려오셔서 그들의 대적들이 불같이 임하시는 주의 면전에서 떨게 해 달라고 간구하고 있는 것입니다. 그때에 그들은 주 예수 그리스도께서 만주의 주, 만왕의 왕으로 오시는 것을 보게 될 것입니다.

        선지자 스카랴는 그들이 회개하는 장면을 성령 안에서 미리 보고 증거했습니다: “그 날이 오면, 내가 예루살렘을 치러 오는 모든 민족들을 멸하고자 하리라. 또 내가 다윗의 집과 예루살렘의 거민들 위에 은혜와 간구의 영을 부어주리라. 그러면 그들은 그들이 찔렀던 나를 쳐다볼 것이며, 그들이 그를 위하여 애통하리니, 마치 어떤 사람이 자기 외아들을 위하여 애통함같이 할 것이요, 그들이 그를 위하여 비통에 잠기리니 마치 어떤 사람이 자기 첫아들을 위하여 비통에 잠기듯 하리라.”(슥 12:9,10)

그들은 오순절 날에 유대인들이 그들이 십자가에 못박았던 예수가 바로 하나님이신 것을 알고 “우리가 어찌하여야 하리이까?”라고 울부짖은 것 같이 회개할 것을 예언하고 있는 것입니다.

        본문에서 선지자 이사야는 아주 중요한 말씀을 증거하고 있습니다: “주께서 내려오셔서 우리가 바라지 않았던 두려운 일들을 행하셨을 때, 산들이 주의 면전에서 흘러내렸나이다. 이는 세상이 시작된 이래로 사람들이 들은 적도 없고, 귀로 깨닫지도 못하였으며, 눈으로 보지도 못하였음이니 오 하나님이여, 주 외에는 주께서 주를 기다리는 자들을 위하여 예비하신 것을 아는 자가 없나이다.”(사 64:3-5)

       그렇습니다. 아무도 세상이 창조된 이래로 하늘이 갈라지면서 하나님께서 이 땅에 불과 함께 나타나셔서 심판하시는 것을 본 적도 없고 들은 적도 없으며 생각 속에서 깨달은 적도 없었습니다. 또한 주 하나님께서 내려오셔서 이 땅에 천국을 세우실 것이라는 사실에 대하여 주님 외에는 알 자가 아무도 없다는 것입니다. 그러나 주를 기다리는 자들만이 알고 있다는 것을 증거하고 있습니다. 주님께서는 사도 요한에게 이 광경을 성령 안에서 미리 보여 주셨고 사도 요한은 그 광경을 보고 증거했습니다(계 19:11-21).

        사도 바울은 성령 안에서 이 말씀을 깨닫고 고린도교회 성도들에게 증거했습니다: “다만 우리가 신비 속에 있는 하나님의 지혜를 말하노니 이는 하나님께서 세상 전에 우리의 영광을 위하여 미리 정하신 감추어진 지혜니라. 이 지혜는 이 세상의 통치자들 가운데서는 아무도 몰랐노라. 만일 그들이 알았더라면 영광의 주를 십자가에 못박지 아니하였으리라. 그러나 기록된 바와 같으니 ‘하나님께서 자기를 사랑하는 자들을 위하여 예비하신 것들은 눈으로 보지도 못하였고 귀로 듣지도 못하였으며 인간의 마음 속에 들어온 적도 없었느니라.’ 한 것이라. 그러나 하나님께서 우리에게 그의 영으로 나타내셨으니 이는 성령께서는 모든 것, 심지어 하나님의 깊은 것들까지도 통찰하시기 때문이라. 사람의 일을 그 사람 안에 있는 사람의 영이 아니면 누가 알리요? 이와 같이 하나님의 일도 하나님의 영이 아니면 아무도 모르느니라. 우리가 세상의 영을 받지 아니하고 오직 하나님께로부터 온 영을 받았으니 이는 우리로 하나님깨서 우리에게 값없이 주신 것들을 알게 하려 하심이라.’(고전 2:7-12)

       사도 바울은 선지자 이사야가 “주를 기다리는 자들을 위하여 예비하신 것“에 대하여 “하나님을 사랑하는 자들을 위하여 예비하신 것들“이라고 증거했습니다. 또한 하나님을 사랑하는 자들에 관하여 하나님의 영이신 성령을 받은 자들이라고 말했으며 그들은 주 예수 그리스도와 정혼한 한 순결한 처녀이기에(고후 11:2) 선지자 이사야의 예언대로 그들은 주님이 오시는 것을 알고 사랑하기에 주님만을 기다리는 자들이라고 증거하고 있는 것입니다. 그러나 인간의 지혜나 이 세상의 지헤나 세상 통치자의 지혜도 아니며 오직 성령을 통하여 하나님의 지혜를 받은 자들만이 조만간 주 예수 그리스도께서 휴거된 신부교회와 함께 이 땅에 오셔서 모든 이방 민족들을 심판하시고 이 땅에 왕국을 세우실 것을 알 수 있다고 증거하고 있습니다. 사람 속에 있는 어떤 영이라 할지라도 하나님께서 예비하신 것들을 알 수도 볼 수도 없으며 단지 사람의 일들만을 알고 헛된 일들을 도모할 수밖에 없다는 것입니다. 그러므로 자연인들은 하나님의 말씀 속에 들어있는 것은 눈으로 볼 수도 없으며  하나님의 영의 일들도 마찬가지로 상상조차 할 수 없는 것입니다.

           사도 바울은 에베소 교회 성도들에게 “우리는 그의 작품이니 그리스도 예수 안에서 선한 일들을 위하여 창조되었느니라. 이 일들은 하나님께서 미리 정하시어 우리로 그것들 가운데서 행하게 하려 하신 것이라.”(엡 2:10)고 증거했습니다. 또한 목회자 디모데에게 교회 안에 있는 지체들에 대하여 “주께서는 자기에게 속한 자들을 아시며 또 그리스도의 이름을 부르는 자는 누구라도 죄악에서 떠나라는 것이라. 큰 집에는 금과 은으로 만든 그릇들뿐만 아니라 나무와 진흙으로 만든 그릇들도 있어, 어떤 것들은 귀하게 여기고 어떤 것들은 천히 여기느니라. 그러므로 이런 것들에서 자기를 깨끗하게 하는 사람은 귀한 그릇이 되어 거룩하여지고 주인이 쓰기에 합당하며, 모든 선한 일을 위하여 예비되느니라.”(딤후 2:19-21)고 증거했습니다.

        하나님께서는 질그릇같은 우리에게 보배로운 성령을 주셨습니다(고후 4:7). 그러므로 주님께서 나타나시는 그날까지 질그릇 같은 우리의 몸을 깨끗하게 보존해야 하는 것입니다. 그러므로 주님만을 기다리면서 박해 가운데 복음을  전파하는 데살로니가 교회 성도들에게 사도 바울은 “화평의 하나님 바로 그분께서 너희를 온전히 거룩하게 하시고 너희의 온 영과 혼과 몸이 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 오실 때까지 책방할 것이 없게 보존되기를 하나님께 기도하노라. 너희를 부르시는 분은 신실하시니 그가 또한 시행하시리라.”(살전 5:234,24)고 편지했습니다. 우리에게 성령을 주신 하나님께 영원무궁토록 감사와 찬송을 드려도 늘 아쉬운 마음을 가지고 살 때에 우리를 공격하는 사단의 세력들은 한 길로 왔다가 일곱 길로 도망하게 될 것입니다. 우리에게 이 엄청난 꿈과 약속을 주신 하나님 아버지께 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 송축 드립니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 96:1-13

Main scripture: Isaiah 63:17-64:1-12

Subject: The things that are prepared for them that love God, and wait for him

   In the main passage, prophet Isaiah prophesies of the remnant of Israel that shall repent unto the LORD God, and seek him in the future. They shall ask God to rend the heavens, and come down unto the earth to judge the Gentile nations. They shall confess, their adversaries have trodden down His sanctuary because of their sins against God. The remnant of Israel, finally, shall confess, they are filthy sinners, saying and mourning, we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags, and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

          They shall remember the word of God spoken through prophet Jeremiah, and they shall confess their Father God is the potter, and they are only the clay. Therefore they shall understand themselves the work of the hand of the LORD God, the potter. The LORD God made Jeremiah go to the house of a potter to see the potter make a work; and the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it; then the LORD God spoke unto the Israel: “O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;

10If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.”(Jer. 18:6-10)

        God showed that the remnant of Israel shall repent their sins to  be restored in the hand of God, and to be established again. They shall ask God to rend heavens to come down, and let their adversaries of the nations tremble at his presence. Then, they shall see the Lord Jesus Christ, as the LORD of LORDS, and KING of KINGS.

        Prophet Zechariah testified of the remnant of Israel foreseeing in the Holy Ghost: “And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

1And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.”(Zech. 12:9,10)

He prophesied of them that shall repent their as if the Jews cried out seeing Jesus that they crucified is God saying, “What shall we do?” on the day of Pentecost.

        In the main passage, prophet testifies of a very important word saying, “When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence. For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.”(Isa. 64:3-5)

     Yea! Since the world was created, anyone yet neither has seen the heavens divided, and God appears unto the earth with fire to judge the world, and nor heard, and nor understood in the heart; and no one knows that the LORD God come down to the earth to establish the kingdom of heaven in the earth except Him; but they that wait for the Lord God know, testified by prophet Isaiah. The Lord Jesus showed this scene unto Apostle John in the Spirit so that he could testified of it (Rev. 19:11-21).

          Apostle Paul understood the things that are prepared for them that love God in the Holy Ghost, and testified of it unto the saints:

“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”  (1Cor. 2:7-12)

        Apostle Paul testified of the things that are prepared for them that love God; this was testified by prophet Isaiah as the thing that is prepared for them that wait for the LORD. Of them that love God, they are born again Christians of the Spirit of God; and they are as a chaste virgin espoused  to the Lord Jesus Christ (2Cor. 11:2) so that they are waiting for Jesus Christ to come, because they love only him knowing he is coming. Apostle Paul testified, only they that received the wisdom of God through the Holy Ghost know that the Lord Jesus Christ shall come down to the earth sooner or later with his bride that is his church, and judge all the Gentile nations to establish his kingdom; but it is quite impossible for the wisdom of man or wisdom of the world or the wisdom of the prince of the world to know this. Any spirit of man can neither know nor see the things that are prepared by God; they only know the things of man so that they shall be ended up with all things in vain. Therefore the natural man can neither see the things in the words of God, and nor even imagine the spiritual things at all.

        Apostle Paul testified unto the saints in the church of Ephesians saying, “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.”(2Tim. 2:19-21)

         God has given the Holy Ghost as treasure unto us in us as earthen vessels (2Cor. 4:7). Therefore, we have to keep our body clean by the day when he appears for us. Apostle Paul encouraged unto the saints of Thessalonians saying, “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”(1Thes. 5:23,24)

The devil shall flee from us in seven different ways, when we give thanks and praise forever unto God that gave us the Holy Ghost thinking not enough at all. Bless God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for giving us such great promise as dream. Amen! Hallelujah!
